Has anyone here had any experience with Nootropics? Specifically the racetam family? They are commonly known as cognitive/memory enhancers; smart drugs.
My friend purchased some last week and has been raving about the lucidity his memory has been since taking them.
Depending on what to get, they have also been known to aid in anxiety, depression, ADD etc.
Cheers big ears!

Never heard of it before. Even if I did, I wouldn't take them. I don't even like taking cold medicine, much less other drugs...

I have Absenol which causes me shaking and hot waves.
I have Abilify which causes me being stressed.
I have Zyprexa which causes me drooling and tiredness.
The effect of Abilify could be argued if it's because of my sickness, but the point is, I don't want another drug to my life and to fill my dispenser.
I got rid of one medicine during my last hospital period. It was Lamictal. My ultimate goal is to live without medicine one day, but I'm not going to stop my medication without the doctor's permission. I'll have an attendance meeting next week, and I'm going to propose a gradual, slow, reducing of medication.

I just hope they're not being sold without a prescription. Drugs that affect the neural system can be very dangerous if consumed when they're not needed.

^ This. I've never tried it but I've had friends who have, they say it works but always read the side-effects label.

Placebos work if you convince people that they do.
I'm sure the drugs have some effect, but I doubt they work to the extent that people say they do.

They work if you have the conditions they are intended to treat. I tried adderall a few times before exams, and it really made my mind feel, well, electric. Like the neurons were all zapping back and forth and my brain was on overdrive. But it made me feel disoriented and scrambled, and did NOT improve my performance...

I ate a shitload of Viagra once if that counts.
It made me feel well hard.
