Author's Note

Hello, everybody. I bring you Tracey's Quest, a new fanfic. The fanfic is, as everybody feared, a trainer fic, but it isn't the cliche one everybody thinks of and fears, it has trainer elements, but it isn't an actual trainer fic. So, have fun reading, please review, and have fun! So, following in the footsteps of such great fics like From Rookie to Champion, Lisa the Legend, and From Electric Buggy to Victory, I bring you Tracey's Quest


Prolouge: The Death of Dannie Sketchit

The Orange Islands were a large group of islands each in the Articuno Ocean. Each island was very different, each with their own government and independent police force. They did have, however, something in common; every person on the islands loved Pokemon.
Pokemon were the center of the universe for the Orange Islands, almost everybody big had a Pokemon, and a lot of people were trainers, even though only a few were actually able to train properly.
Valencia Island was the ringleader of the Orange Islands, it was by far the largest island of all.
Valencia Island had a town square, with the name of The Venetian. The Venetian was right by the sea, so therefore tons of little shops selling clothes and books and other accessories were found.
The homes of Valencia weren't small, but they weren't very big either, but it was a safe area, and there was nothing too dangerous about the island. The biggest worry of all was falling into the ocean. Officer Jenny and her Growlithe kept the island safe, and Nurse Joy and her Chansey kept the Pokemon healthy, as well as some of the trainers.
The two largest homes lay on top of The Venetian, and these homes were huge estates. They had about twenty rooms each, and a lot of land, especially the backyards. These homes belonged to Professor Alicia Ivy, and Drew Sketchit.
Professor Alicia Ivy was about fifty years old, even though the access of makeup and clothing she wore made it seem impossible. Ivy in her life had married five men; most notably Proffesor Samuel Oak of Kanto, who was a renowned professor of the world. Oak didn't give her what she wanted, which is a lot of love, and so she went off to the land of Aloe Vera, which was a set of islands like the Orange Islands, and married Professor Westwood the Fifth, who was more interested in his Taillow than in Ivy. And so, after marrying three younger men, Ivy settled in Valencia Island, where she also became a professor.
Professor Ivy studied water Pokemon and their habitats, and she also had a Pokemon of her own given to her by Oak. It was a Wailmer, a ball whale water Pokemon. Wailmer hardly battled, but it was also a pervert.
It used to try to sneak under Ivy and look up her skirt, but Ivy recalled Wailmer whenever it became a pain.
The estate next to Professor Ivy and Wailmer belonged to Mr. Drew Sketchit. Drew was in his late forty's and was very stocky and had blond hair. He also wore glasses. Drew was a Pokemon art historian, and studied ancient and modern arts of Pokemon, and wrote his studies in book. That's why he caught a Smeargle in the nearby Valencia Mountains, to give him inspiration for his books. Smeargle would always draw on Drew when he wasn't noticing, and Drew got easily annoyed.
Drew's beautiful wife was Andrea Sketchit. Andrea was also a writer, who wrote Pokemon Romance Novellas. She sold a lot of bestseller books, and one day, she even caught a Miltank because it seemed like a "romantic" Pokemon to her. Miltank liked Drew's Smeargle, but Smeargle was annoyed by the pink cow.
Drew and Andrea had two children, Dannie and Tracey. Dannie was twenty one years old, had black hair, and was tall. He was muscular and fit, and worked out almost every day. Dannie was a Pokemon Champion of the Orange Island League, but he only had three Pokemon; a Venusaur, a Meganium, and a Sceptile. He was friendly with all his Pokemon, and strong too.
Dannie's little brother was named Tracey. Tracey loved to sketch, but he was only fourteen years old. He had black hair, and a red headband. He was chubby, but did not have any Pokemon. He was very smart, and most of all he loved to sketch Pokemon. He was very skilled at drawing Pokemon, and he spent hours in their backyard sketching Dannie's Venusaur, Meganium, and Sceptile.
And that was how life went on Valencia Island, slowly, but while being surrounded by the sea, life was in pure bliss.

One day, Professor Ivy, Drew, Andrea, Wailmer, Smeargle, and Miltank went for a hike in the mountains to look for ancient Pokemon art for Drew's newest book. Miltank tried to hold Smeargle's hand, but Smeargle didn't seem to have interest for women, he was looking at Wailmer, who in turn was trying to look up Ivy's skirt.

Dannie was left in charge of watching the estates and Tracey. Tracey was outside, sketching Venusaur, Sceptile, and Meganium. Danny came outside of the estate, and saw his little brother sketching with a bright blue sketchbook that Tracey was given by Dannie for his tenth birthday.

"Hi Trace, whatcha doin?", asked Dannie, who patted Tracey on the head.
"Nothing much, just sketching your Pokemon", said Tracey while looking at the Pokemon to sketch them again.
"Oh, well the picture is coming out fine", said Dannie, giving Tracey a complient.
"Dannie, do you think I would make a good Pokemon trainer?", asked Tracey looking up at Dannie with willing eyes.
"Tracey, I remember reading this somewhere; Some are born great, Some achieve greatness, and Some have greatness thrust upon them".

Tracey didn't really understand these words of wisdom, but he got the point.

Just as Dannie finished, they both heard three Pokemon cries in the air. Both of them didn't believe it, these three legendary birds hadn't been seen for thousands and thousands of years. They were Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.

The three Pokemon seemed to be angry, but also seemed to be tired at the same time.

"What are they doing on Valencia Island?" asked Dannie, as Tracey started to sketch. The people below the estates in the Venetian started to scream after seeing Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres. Suddenly, Articuno fired an Ice Beam, Zapdos fired a Thunder, and Moltres fired a Flamethrower at the estates and at the Pokemon.

"Meganium, Sceptile, Venusaur, use SOLAR BEAM!", screamed Dannie, as the three grass types sucked in energy from the sun. Before anything, however, Dannie told Tracey to run up into the Valencia Mountains and hide.

The Mountains were very close, but Tracey didn't want to leave Dannie and the Pokemon alone, but Dannie forced him.

Tracey ran, just as the three birds fired their signature attacks at Venusaur, Meganium, and Sceptile. Instead of fainting, the three Pokemon died. Just as Dannie screamed, the attacks also collided into Dannie, and the estate of the Sketchits and Ivy. There was a huge blast, as Tracey saw from the mountain range.
The remains toppled over the hill onto the Venetian, where screming people ran away from the burning rubble.
After this, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres seemed to be looking for something, but they returned to where they came from, their job finished.

Daniel Sketchit, Venusaur, Meganium, and Sceptile did not survive.

Tracey, horrified at the burning rubble returned back to what used to be his house at the moment when Professor Ivy, Alicia, and Drew returned with Wailmer, Smeargle, and Miltank.

"Tracey, what happened with Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres? Where's Dannie and the Pokemon?" asked Drew, and as Tracey set his sketchbook down and started crying, it was all too evident what had happened...

I'm just an aspiring writer myself, but I really liked it. It was quite a mysterious first chapter, yet the name didn't bring good taste. I mean, Tracey's Quest sounds too obviously..erm...weird. Anyway, nice chapter. Hopefully some veteran will give you some better help tho.

Chapter 1: Tracey's First Pokemon

Two years passed since the semi-destroyal of Valencia Island. The two estates were rebuilt more vibrant than ever, and The Venetian recovered as well. Valencia became a tourist spot once again, and Tracey eventually grew up to be a popular sixteen year old.
Tracey became very chummy with Professor Ivy. He would usually come home after school and help her with stuff around the lab, help train Wailmer, and also read a lot about water Pokemon.
One day, Tracey came to Ivy's lab after school, and she saw him serious over thought about something mysterious, as she was sitting over a table with three Dive Balls, which were deep blue Pokeballs that are thought to contain water Pokemon.
"What is it Professor Ivy?" asked Tracey, trying to be in the best of thought.
"I was thinking who to give these three Pokemon to. You see, the Orange League Competition is starting once again, and I want to give these three water types to three trainers who I think are most deserving of them." said Ivy, her eyes open wide in thought.
Wailmer must have been in its Net Ball, as it was nowhere to be seen.
"What are the Pokemon inside the Poke-"
"Not now, Tracey, I don't have time for questions, go home, I'll call you later today."

And with that, Ivy went out of the labroom, climbed the glass stairs and slammed the door.
Tracey, more hurt than curious, left the lab and went back to his house. Inside, he saw Drew and Andrea eating supper already. Smeargle was checking Drew out, while Miltank was checking Smeargle out.

"Tracey, what's wrong, I thought you were going to study a bit at Professor Ivy's lab?" asked Andrea, as she ate her helping of Miltank Loaf. Miltank was mad that her trainer was eating one of her kind's meat.

"I don't know, Professor Ivy seemed so angry, the Orange League is starting, so she's thinking about who to give one of her water Pokemon to." said Tracey, who's mood was ruined.

"Tracey, do you want some dinner?", asked Drew.

"No, just leave me alone.", said Tracey.

Both Drew and Andrea sensed that Tracey really wanted one of the Pokemon, but he was very negative about it, why would Tracey get picked out of all the kids in Valencia Island?

Hours passed, and Tracey lay asleep in bed, a deep, fatigued sleep. Soon, as his eyes closed, he started to see a dream. He saw Dannie's face, and he was saying Tracey's name.

Soon, the voice started to turn more femanine, and he woke up to see Andrea standing over Tracey's bed.

"Tracey, it's Professor Ivy on the line, she wants to speak with you," said Andrea, giving Tracey the Horsea shaped telephone.

"Hello." said Tracey.

"Tracey, it's me, Professor Ivy. I want to tell you that out of all the kids in Valencia Island, I want you to be one of the trainers competing in the Orange Island League. I already registered you and two other future trainers in the league, and I want you to come tommorow to my lab and choose your first Pokemon. Bye." said Ivy, and hung up immediatly, which seemed very rude.

But Tracey didn't care! He was going to get his very own Pokemon, and it was gonna be his!

He ran down the three flights of stairs which made up the estate, and hugged Smeargle in joy. Smeargle seemed to like it. *_*''

The next day, Tracey awoke to find a set table in front of him. His mother had cooked his favorite breakfast, Grumpig Bacon, and he started to dig in, since it was a breakfast in bed.

Andrea, Drew, Smeargle, and Miltank entered Tracey's large room, and smiled.

"Tracey, you are finally following in your brother Dannie's footstep, and we wanted to congratulate you with all our hearts," said Drew, as everyone else nodded.

Tracey smiled and got out of bed and hugged his parents, and even the Pokemon. He was gonna make Dannie proud, even if he wasn't alive.

It was about nine o'clock AM when Tracey Sketchit started the short walk to Professor Ivy's estate.

It wasn't empty, as there were about three different cars outside the house. Tracey entered, and saw Professor Ivy dressed in her signature lab coat, with Wailmer next to her.

They were in the labroom, with three Dive Balls on the table. Tracey waved to Ivy and Wailmer, and went and stood by the other two kids in the room. Tracey knew them, as they went to the same high school as he did.

One's name was May, and she had brown hair and was very developed. She had a red bandana around her head, and a red outfit. She waved at Tracey, and Tracey smiled back.

The girl next to her had a name of Misty, and she also went to Tracey's high school. She had red hair tied up in a pony tail, and she smiled at Tracey. Tracey waved back.

"Well, kids, you are going to go on your own journey in the Orange Island League, and you can't go alone, so you will recieve your first starter Pokemon. The three Pokemon are as follows. The Dive Ball on the left contains a Water and Normal Type, Azurill, the one in the middle contains a Dragon and Water type Horsea, and the one on the right contains a Water and Psychic type, Politoed.", said Ivy, running out of breath, as Wailmer managed to look under Ivy's lab coat.

"You many now choose the Pokemon you want, May, go up.", said Alicia Ivy.

"Well, I think the Azurill sounds good, I want the Azurill.", said May, smiling.

She took the Dive Ball on the left, and threw it on the ground. The Pokemon was revealed to be an Azurill, and it immediatly started bouncing up an down on its tail once it saw May. May picked Azurill up immediatly and smiled.

"Now, May picked Azurill. Misty, who do you want?", asked Ivy, looking around her as she spoke, missing Wailmer completely.

"Well, I was thinking about it, and I want Poliwag, it seems cute.", said Misty, and took the Dive Ball containing Poliwag. She threw it, and she saw the Poliwag.

"You're so cute!", said Misty, as Poliwag hugged Misty with its tail.

"Okay, Tracey, I guess you have no choice but to pick the Horsea.", said Ivy, as pointed to the middle Dive Ball.

"Good, I wanted Horsea!", said Tracey enthisiastically, as he took the Dive Ball, and threw it. A Horsea came out, and immediatly said its name and hopped up into Tracey's arms.

"It's so cute!", said Tracey, as May and Misty played with Azurill and Poliwag.

"Your first gym is in Tangelo Island, and there is a total of five gyms in the Orange League.", said Ivy. "I wish you all Good Luck."

"Bye Professor Ivy!", said May and Misty, who recalled Azurill and Poliwag and left the lab.

"Thanks, Professor Ivy, for all your help.", said Tracey, who recalled Horsea, and waved to the Professor.

"Bye Tracey, I know of all you will prevail", she said, as she recalled Wailmer.

Chapter 2: The Ship

Tracey, who had already recalled Horsea in its Dive Ball, went outside of Professor Ivy's lab. He saw Valencia Island, like he always did. It was a moderate, cloudy day, and it seemed like it would rain.
Tracey played by around with Horsea's Dive Ball for a moment, and still couldn't get over the fact that he was now a Pokemon trainer, whose ultimate goal was to win the Orange Island League.
As Tracey turned around to look at his house, he saw a medium boat in front of it, with a red ribbon tied on the front. It was huge, not the size of a ferry, but smaller, like a tour boat. It was white, new obviously, with blue painted on the sides of the white. There was a cabin on the deck, and it seemed like a motor boat.
In front of it were Drew, Andrea, Smeargle, and Miltank. Professor Ivy and Wailmer came out too, to see what the procession was about.
"Tracey, on behalf of our family, we'd like to give you this boat, so you can travel around the Orange Islands!", said Drew, who gave his son a hug instantly.
"Oh my God, you guys are doing this all, for..for..me!?", asked a very touched Tracey.
Andrea nodded.
"It's a ship, all you have to do is get on, start the motor, and you're off!", said Andrea, smiling.
Soon, Ivy and Wailmer departed back to their lab.

"To think you will be a Pokemon trainer, just like your brother, I'm so proud", said Andrea, as Tracey kissed her Miltank, and Drew's Smerargle (which it enjoyed) goodbye, and went in Drew's truck to the ocean, because the ship was loaded on the truck.

"Goodbye Tracey, there's a video-phone in the cabin, call whenever you feel like it" said Drew, and Tracey hugged him goodbye.

The ship was unloaded, and put in the sea. The tourists in the Venetian watched as Tracey went onboard the deck of his new ship, which he christened "The Valencia" after his hometown.

As he watched Drew go up alone in the good old red truck, tears came to his eyes, and he reminisced about all the good times he had with his family, and all the bad times too.

Tangelo Island, where the first gym was, was about 200 miles away, so it would take some time on the motor boat. Tracey stood on deck for a while, since the boat just zoomed straight.

He sent out Horsea out of its Dive Ball.

As soon as it was released, Horsea got off of Tracey's lap, and looked at the ocean. It really liked the ocean.

"Hi, Horsea!", said Tracey, with a smile. Horsea turned back and smiled, it really seemed to like Tracey, and Tracey liked it right back.

"We're gonna win a lot of battles and catch a lot of Pokemon, right?" asked Tracey, and Horsea nodded, then jumped on the rail of the ship and looked at the sea some more.

They were still in the middle of the ocean, and Tangelo was no where to be seen by the time night fell; Tracey and Horsea alone were bored.

As the sun went completely down, Tracey got a little homesick, it was, after all, the first night of his journey, and he missed the estate and his home a lot. He slowed down the ship a bit, so that the motor was not heard anymore.

Horsea, still on the railing was getting tired as well. Tracey decided that he'll let it out of its Dive Ball for the night, cause he realized that both of them were a bit homesick.

He decided to go inside the cabin, it was the real first time he went in there anyways. It was small, but it was nice and clean. The light was exactly the same like his house. There was a small bed in the corner for him, and a stand for six Pokeballs, so Tracey decided to recall Horsea and put the Dive Ball on the stand. The stand was on his bedside table.

On the bedside table was also a night-light, and a tissue box. On the other side of the table was a bookcase, with many books on the Pokemon world, above the bed was a map of the Orange Islands.

Next to the bookcase was a closet, with a lot of clothes, and next to that, a small bathroom. There were two windows, large, on either side of the room. Tracey was a bit scared, but he realized there was nothing to be afraid of.

He also noticed that next to the bed, there was a video phone, just like his dad said, that was actually also a computer, where he could store Pokemon and also go on the computer.

Tracey turned the light off and turned the nite lite on, and he got in bed. It had been a boring day, it was exciting in the morning, but a day at sea with no land was kinda boring.

Tracey was tired though, and he went to sleep.

Actually, this was a lot better than most of the trainer fics that I have seen. Most are just battle, battle, battle, oh you wanna battle? Actually, there is more character development in here than most fics have. Very, very good job.

I'm surely going to be reading the next few chappies^^.

I'm trying to make this as non-boring as possible, the next battle will be in about two episodes, and the next gym battle will be in about three. There won't be too many battles in the fic, mostly development. Anyway, Chapter 3.

Chapter 3: The Legendary Birds and Electric Island

Tracey woke up. His eyes opened wide and he looked around him and saw a Dive Ball next to him and saw that he was in a small cabin. The two windows were open since they had no drapes, and Tracey was surprised.
Then, it all came back to him. He was headed to Tangelo Island on "The Valencia", which was his ship that he recieved from his parents.
Tracey woke up, and streched. He went to the bathroom, and saw his face in the mirror.
"My, I smell, don't I...", said Tracey, as he undressed and took a quick shower, brushed his teeth, and dressed into his signature green shirt and black shorts. He put his red headband on and exited the cabin.
"Oops, forgot Horsea's Dive Ball...", said Tracey, as he rushed in the cabin, and got Horsea's Dive Ball, and released Horsea.

Horsea's eyes were still closed, but it soon opened its cute red eyes and smiled at Tracey again.
"Hi Horsea, what's up?" asked Tracey, as Horsea smiled.

Suddenly, Tracey's hazel eyes grew wide in wonder, and as Horsea looked at its master amazed, it soon saw the sight and grew amazed as well.
It was blue bird Pokemon, soaring the skies and was huge. Powder snow followed its glorious, blue tail, as it soared the sky. Tracey recognized the graceful ice Pokemon as Articuno, the Pokemon that the sea was named after.
While Tracey ran and got his blue sketchbook and started sketching, he remembered that this was one of the mysterious Pokemon that killed his brother two years back, but he was too engulfed in sketching that he forgot to think.
As Tracey was sketching, Horsea saw that they were coming up to an island, it trained to warn Tracey, but he was trailed in thought sketching.

Suddenly, there was a big thud, and the boat collapsed onto the island.
Tracey and Horsea lost their balance and fell into the cabin, knocking the nite-lite over.
Tracey rubbed his head and saw that they had reached an island, but lost track of the Articuno. It's okay, he had a pretty complete sketch of it anyhow, and he could send these to Professor Ivy if she wanted to research it any longer.

Tracey and Horsea exited the boat, and saw that the island was deserted. As Horsea waited outside, Tracey's ran back in the boat and checked his map. It seemed that this island was thirty miles south of Valencia, and was known simply as Electric Island.

"Horsea, it seems like this island is inhabited by rare electric Pokemon, that's wierd, if we were by Electric Island, I would think that a Zapdos would be flying by, not an Articuno..." said Tracey, as he and Horsea started walking on the sandy coast line of Electric Island.

Electric Island was pretty small, but it was very small and populated with many caves and trees. As Tracey and Horsea walked through the dense forest of Electric Island, Horsea saw a big cave at the side of the road.

"Hor, Horsea!", said Horsea trying to gain the attention of its trainer.

"What is it, Horsea?" asked Horsea, looking at his Pokemon.

Horsea pointed to a large cave at the side, with what seemed like a Pokeball with eyes glaring at them.

"Hey, that's a Voltorb!", said Tracey, starting to sketch the elusive Pokemon.

Horsea looked a bit scared, as its red eyes looked at its trainer worryingly.

"Don't be scared Horsea, just think of it as a Pokeball with eyes!", said Tracey trying to comfort his favorite and only Pokemon.

The Voltorb seemed to be guarding something; since when Tracey tried to enter, it seemed like it would Selfdestruct.

"Well, if we can't get past it, then we just have to catch it!", said Tracey, getting a Pokeball ready from his belt.

"All right, Horsea, go!", said Tracey sending Horsea out.

Horsea jumped off of Tracey's shoulder, and faced the Voltorb.

Voltorb started using random Thundershocks, but it's accuracy obviously wasn't very good, as the attacks kept hitting trees instead of Horsea, who evaded the attacks just in case.

"Horsea, use Smokescreen!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired an inky black smokescreen at Voltorb, whose metal coat got covered by the inky substance.

"Now, use Water Gun!", said Tracey, as the water gun was fired at Voltorb, which in turn used a Sonicboom. The attacks collided, but the Water Gun was more powerful, so the Sonicboom and the Water Gun slammed into Voltorb.

"Now, the Pokeball to catch a Pokeball Pokemon," said Tracey, and threw the Pokeball at Voltorb.

Voltorb got sucked in, as the Pokeball shook once, then twice, and it finally pinged, signalling that Tracey caught his first Pokemon, a Voltorb.

"Yay! Horsea we caught a Voltorb! Good Job!", said Tracey recalling Horsea back into its Dive Ball.

It was now well past noon, and Tracey stood eating some lunch outside of the cave where he caught Voltorb.

As he started to leave, he saw a massive yellow electric bird Pokemon shoot out of the cave; it was Zapdos, another legendary!

Tracey recognized this as well, and realized that Voltorb was guarding this Pokemon, who was hiding in the cave.

Before he could think, he ran, because of the Zapdos chasing him ready to kill him just as it killed Dannie two years before. Tracey ran as far and fast as he could, and jumped on The Valencia, got in, started the motor, locked the cabin door, and sailed out of Electric Island.

The ship was well away from the island now, and Tracey wished he had drapes so he could close the windows and not see anything outside. Oh well, he would buy some from Tangelo Island. He put Horsea's Dive Ball and Voltorb's Poke Ball in the Poke Ball holder, and was happy that two of the spaces were full.

Tracey lay down on his bed and rested. He was surprised that Zapdos didn't leave Electric Island, but he wished he didn't catch Voltorb, since Zapdos might want its friend back.

The day turned into dusk, and Tracey walked out to deck. He was probably sixty miles away from Electric Island, and therefore almost a hundred miles away from home.

Tracey calculated that in one hundred more miles, they should be in Tangelo Island, where he should get drapes and challenge the local gym leaders. But he didn't like battling, he liked to draw and just see.

He released Horsea's Dive Ball, and the seahorse Pokemon with red eyes smiled at him. He was relunctant to send Voltorb out, but he did, and the Pokemon, even though kind of scared of Tracey soon got accustomed to him and Horsea.

Voltorb and Horsea started in a deep conversation, which seemed to never end. Tracey tried to ask Voltorb about Zapdos, but it just looked out to sea and pretended not to hear. Horsea clearly didn't want to get involved.

By nightfall, Tracey recalled Horsea and Voltorb and went back inside the cabin. He locked the door and lay down to sleep, putting Horsea's Dive Ball and Voltorb's Poke Ball on the holder. As he slept, he swore he saw Moltres, the legendary bird of fire, flying around his ship.

He saw Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres all in one day. These birds were trailing him, and he had to get rid of them somehow, some way, or else, he and his family and all who he knew in the Orange Islands, might end up in the same fate as his brother Dannie and his Meganium, Sceptile and Venusaur ended up.

Chapter 4: The Pokemon Watcher

A new day started, as the sun poared in through the cabin windows. Tracey woke up, streched his arms, and started his daily morning routine. He showered, put some new clothes on, and took Horsea's Dive Ball and Voltorb's Poke Ball and attached them to his waist.

He went out on to the dive of The Valencia, and saw an island approaching, he thought they were about 70 miles north of Tangelo Island, so he took a look on the map and saw "Danbun Island" as the island after "Electric Island", so he began to slow the ship down.

As Tracey got out, he released Horsea and Voltorb for protection, as this island was deserted too, and he hoped no legendary birds roosted here. Horsea and Voltorb came out, streched, and got on the shoulders of their trainer.

Tracey smiled and walked on through the densely populated forests of Danbun Island. As he walked on, he saw a small cabin to the east of the main path.

He turned left, and got a little scared, as this might be a haunted cabin or something; but he decided not to get involved in that kiddy stuff, so he entered the cabin.

He looked around, and there was an old man sitting on the table with a Cyndaquil on his desk. He had white hair, a white mustache, and glasses. He was wearing safari clothes, and had a Southern accent.

"Young man, who might you be?", asked the man, after looking up at Tracey and his Pokemon.

"Uh, I'm Tracey Sketchit, from Valencia Island, and these are Horsea and Voltorb. I'm sorry I wandered in on ya...", said Tracey, who was interrupted by the man.

"Sketchit, eh? I've read your father's art pieces for years and years. I have a whole book case in the back, Cyndaquil, come back, let's go show our guests the books.", said the man.

Cyndaquil, who had gone talking to Horsea and Voltorb, told them to follow him and went to the bookcase.

"By the way, my name is Ned Wallingrum, and I'm a Pokemon Watcher. Do you know what a Pokemon Watcher is, Tracey?", asked Ned with a grin on his face.

"Um, no, Mr. Wallingrum.", replied Tracey, with a stern look on his face.

"Just call me Ned, Tracey. It is a person who studies Pokemon in the wildlife, who studies habitats and distribution of them. That's why I'm spending my life here on Danbun Island, studying Pokemon around me.", said Ned, while petting Cyndaquil on the back, the fire didn't hurt.

"Hey, how can you touch Cyndaquil's back like that, it's full of flames!", said Tracey.

"Cyndaquil won't hurt anyone it trusts", said Ned.

"All right, let me try!", said Tracey, but just as he put his hand on the back, it started burning.

"AAAAHHH! Horsea WATER GUN!", screamed Tracey, as Ned went to get a fire hydrant.

Horsea fired Water from its snout, and Tracey's hand was back to normal, but very charred.

"Here, this'll help!", said Ned, bringing some Burn Heal from his bedroom.

As the Burn Heal sprayed onto Tracey's hand, he realized that he had only met Cyndaquil, and that it didn't hate him, it just met him, that's all.

With Tracey's hand back to normal, they heard a blast outside.

Ned, Tracey, and Cyndaquil ran out of the cabin, with Horsea and Voltorb following close behind.

They saw a bunch of wild Pokemon outside, scared because of the blast.

"This blast must have scared all the Pokemon out of their habitats. Who commited this crime?", said Ned, angirly.

There, they found a Pina Colada, with some liquid still in it. A Swinub and a Mankey came to the drink and drank from it.

"Whoever it is left. They must have wanted to steal the Pokemon, but they saw us exit.", said Ned.

The Pokemon started to return to their original homes, and it was starting to nightfall.

"Well, Ned, Cyndaquil, thanks for your hopsitality", said Tracey, as he and Horsea and Voltorb headed off for the ship.

"Bye, Tracey, Horsea and Voltorb, come back and visit anytime!"< said Ned, as he and Cyndaquil returned into the cabin.

Tracey and Horsea and Voltorb returned to the cabin and started off for Tangelo. This time, Tracey didn't sleep, he realized that the Video Phone was also a tv and a computer, so he got really happy as he turned on the TV and watched something. The nite lite was also a radio, Tracey realized the ship was very handy.

The lights were on bright, and Tracey looked at the time on the nite light, it was only nine o'clock, and they were still at sea. Horsea and Voltorb were watching a Pokemon show on TV, and Tracey was reading a book Ned had given him about Pokemon Watching.

Suddenly, they saw Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres circling the ship. Tracey turned everything off, including the nite lite. He recalled Horsea and Voltorb and put the Dive Ball and the Poke Ball on the stand. He lay on his bed and looked at these powers looking for him.

At about midnight, after finished, they returned to wherever their roosting points are, one of which was only known to Tracey, Electric Island.

Tracey turned the nite lite on and fell into a deep feverish sleep.

He saw the dream again this night, Dannie calling Tracey's name, but by the time he woke up, he forgot all about it.

Chapter 5: The Submarine

It was noon as The Valencia sailed on the Articuno Ocean. The sun sat straight in the sky, as it boiled all who were below it. Tracey was inside the cabin, reading more of the book that Ned and Cyndaquil gave him. He liked this stuff about being a Pokemon watcher, he didn't mind the concept of it.

As he thought of Ned, he remembered the mysterious Pina Colada and who tried to steal the Pokemon on Danbun Island. He wanted to see how far Tangelo Island was, and it seemed like he had made a lot of progress during the night. He was about 30 miles north of Tangelo, but there were no more islands between Valencia and Tangelo except for Electric Island and Danbun Island, so it was clear that it was smooth sailing from Danbun to Tangelo.

Tracey went to his Poke-Ball holder and threw the Dive Ball and the Poke Ball on the ground, sending Horsea and Voltorb out from their deep slumber. It seemed like they were already awake though, and they greeted each other as they were released.

Tracey continued reading, while Horsea went out of the cabin and looked out at the ocean, and Voltorb spent the day rolling around on deck.

Soon, after about ten miles, Tracey spotted Tangelo Island slightly. He was excited that he was going to try and attempt to battle his first gym battle.

Meanwhile, under Tracey's ship was a Feebas submarine, riding the waves of the Articuno Sea was the notorious members of Team Rocket, they were following the ship and waiting for the right time to pounce.

As Tracey recalled Horsea and Voltorb in their balls since they were nearing Tangelo, the sub pounced up in front of them. Tracey screamed, and thought it was a wild Feebas.

From the top of the Feebas submarine came out two people, one with long, red hair, and the other with short, blue hair, a cat Pokemon drinking a Pina Colada came out as well.

"Prepare for Trouble, Team Rocket is here!", said the woman with the red hair.
"I'm James, she's Jessie, and this is Meowth", said the man with the blue hair.
"I'm Meowth, that's right!", said the cat, drinking his pina colada as he spoke.

"Jessie, James, Meowth; who are you people?" asked Tracey with a frown on his face.

"Why, dear child, don't you know us?", said Jessie, as Meowth finished his Pina Colada and threw it in the ocean.

As Tracey saw this, he suddenly realized that these three must have been the ones who tried to steal the Pokemon the other day on Danbun Island!

"I don't know you people, and I don't want to know you!", screamed Tracey.

"Team Rocket wants to steal Pokemon and dispose of them for the good of all, and we don't want little brats like you in our way. First, give us your Pokemon, and then the ship!", said James, with a smirk on his face.

"Not on your life, my Pokemon don't belong to you, and you don't belong here!", said Tracey.

"Well, would you fancy this thing, then?", said Jessie, as she held the gun at perfect aim towards Tracey.

"No, I'll never give you my Pokemon, you wretched old hag!", said Tracey.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY!!??", screamed Jessie, as she fired three bullets directly at Tracey.

Tracey covered his eyes in fear, prepared to die...

Chapter 6: Tangelo Island Gym Battle

The bullets flew toward Tracey. He was prepared to die, ready to die like his brother before him. As the bullets raced towards him, Tracey saw a far off Relicanth in the distance. The huge Pokemon flew towards him, with what looked like a black mummy on top riding it.

The Relicanth zoomed toward Tracey and quickly made a reflect attack to cover Tracey and the ship. The bullets hit the reflect shield, and just dropped off into the water.

The mummy creature on top of the Relicanth said to Jessie and James and Meowth, who were hugging in utmost fear, "How dare you hurt innocence in this way? How dare you shake tremor on the peaceful, vibrant, Articuno Sea!", said she, as her Relicanth, which was much bigger than any other Relicanth that Tracey or likely anybody had every seen, fired a watery blast from its mouth, sending the Feebas Sub and all the occupants upon it, through the Orange Island Sky.

Before Tracey could thank the mysterious creature, she was off on her Relicanth heading off to what appeared to be Tangelo Island in the distance. Tracey turned the motor on at full speed and followed her, not knowing who she was and what business she had there.

After about ten minutes, Tracey finally reached Tangelo Island. After almost a week, he had made it two hundred miles from home, and he liked it. However, he didn't see the mysterious mummy or its Relicanth, so he was happy that he was rid of this mysterious feeling.

Tangelo Island was a pretty big island, not as big as Valencia Island, but pretty big. It had a large sandy beach, and a main street right above it. It really reminded him of his home.

Tracey decided to head right to the gym. He didn't need to visit Pokemon Centers since his ship, which was parked at the Tangelo Boat Parking, had a special unit in the bathroom which would heal his Pokemon if they needed to be healed.

He finally reached the special place he was waiting for, the Tangelo Island Gym. The first gym of the Orange Islands. It was a huge structure, about nine feet tall, and it was colored blue on one side, and brown on the other.

As Tracey entered, not knowing what to expect, he again saw that one half of the very dark and dimly lighted gym was brown and one half was black. Tracey wondered if this was some kind of cult on the island. But it was the Tangelo Gym.

There was an arena directly in the middle of the room. All of the arena was covered by glass. Under one part of the glass, was water, and under the other half was muddy soil. Tracey wondered what this was all about, but he let it go.

Suddenly, he saw an elderly woman enter from one side of the arena. She looked old, but her makeup didn't think so. She wore a navy blue dress, and she was very stocky. She had puffy white hair, and had a strong British accent.

"May I help you, young sir?", asked the woman.

"Yes, madam, I was looking for a gym battle with the gym leader here on Tangelo Island.", said Tracey very nervous as the woman kept looking at him.

"Well, I am that gym leader, Tracey, and my name is Abagail. I train dual type water and ground Pokemon.", said Abagail, grinning.

"Wait, how did you know my name?", asked Tracey.

"Never mind, just get on the water side of the arena, please.", said Abagail grinning.

"For my first Pokemon, I'll choose Voltorb!", said Tracey, throwing out the Poke Ball, and out popped the Voltorb.

Abagail seemed to know the Voltorb, but she backed away and took a Lure Ball out from her Pocket. "You have made a grave mistake, dear child, I choose you, Mudkip!", said Abagail, as she threw the Lure Ball onto the arena, and it opened and revealed a shiny Mudkip!

"Wow, that Mudkip looks shiny, but it doesn't mean I'm gonna go easy on it! Come on, Voltorb, start off with your strongest Thundershock!", said Tracey, as Voltorb fired its strongest electric attack at Mudkip. Thinking it was gonna be a OHKO, Tracey was surprised when Mudkip didn't even feel the blast.

"Fool, many people know that Marshtomp and Swampert are dual water and ground types, but few know that Mudkip is.", said Abagail winking.

Ignoring her, Tracey thought of a different strategy. Maybe, instead of being wet by Mudkip, he could wet Mudkip himself.

"Enough of this foolishness, Mudkip fire your best Water Gun, hurry up!", said Abagail, as Mudkip started to fire a blast of cold water to Voltorb.

"Voltorb, BARRIER!", said Tracey, as Voltorb conjured up a shiled, which reflected the water back at Mudkip. Mudkip was shaken and wet, but not ruined.

"Now, fire another Water Gun!", commanded Abagail, as Mudkip fired another cold, icy blast at Voltorb, but this time, Voltorb was faster.

"Voltorb, THUNDERSHOCK!", said Tracey, jumping up and down on the arena. Voltorb fired its thundershock, which conducted the water gun, went through, and hit Mudkip, frying it to a crisp.

"MUDKIP, Oh, return you weakling!", said Abagail, as she took the Lure Ball out and recalled the fried Mudkip.

"Yay, Voltorb, you did it! Return now!", said Tracey as he recalled the grinning Voltorb into its Pokeball.

"Now you rookie trainer, I will show you your downfall! Hit, it, Relicanth!", said Abagail, as she threw out a Heavy Ball, and it hit the arena, revealing a giant Relicanth.

Caught up in the heat of the moment, Tracey didn't remember that a mummy on a giant Relicanth had saved him from Team Rocket earlier!

"A Relicanth, eh? I Choose You, Horsea!", said Tracey, as he threw the Dive Ball onto the arena, and the small red-eyed seahorse onto the arena.

Horsea looked happy, but when he saw the Relicanth, he got scared instantly. Tracey already had a strategy though.

"Relicanth, start weakening Horsea with your Earthquake", said Abagail, as Relicanth started going in the ground and shaking everything around it up, including Horsea.

Horsea was weakened, but not fallen. "Horsea, stay in your spot", said Tracey, as Horsea didn't move from the back of the arena.

"That's stupid, Relicanth, Take Down, with all your might!", said Abagail, as Relicanth started to go to the other side at Horsea instantly.

"Horsea, quick, out of the way!", said Tracey, just as Relicanth was tackling Horsea, it leaped out of the way and the Relicanth slammed into the wall ruining the arena. Relicanth fainted.

"Yay! We did it! Relicanth fainted! Good job Horsea!", said Tracey, as he and Horsea celebrated their victory.

"You have proven yourself worthy; here it is, the Navy Crimson badge", said Abagail, as she recalled Relicanth and handed Tracey his blue and brown colored badge. She also handed him an official Orange Island Badge Case, in which Tracey put his first badge in.

"YAY! I WON MY FIRST BADGE!", said Tracey, just as he remembered the giant Relicanth that saved his life. But when he turned around, Abagail was gone...

Heh, I meant to read this the other day, but an English essay took over all of my thought processes... -_-;; I like it so far. I like how Team Rocket isn't wimpy but more like they were in the first couple episodes, and I also like how it stars Tracey and not a more usual character like Ash or Misty (actually, I haven't seen that many Brock centered fics...hmmm). I actually like Tracey, and was dissapointed that they didn't give the guy more character development on the anime. And I agree with SneaselReborned, it's good that it doesn't just have battle, battle, battle. Keep writing!!:)

Chapter 7: J & J Furniture Stores

After winning his first badge on Tangelo Island, Tracey Sketchit still had to do something before accomplishing his visit to Tangelo. He wanted to find some kind of a furniture store to buy some drapes for his ship.
After walking around for a while on the island, he found a rather shabby building, but it seemed to be what he was looking for. The sign read J & J Furniture Stores, and it seemed to have drapes.
Tracey entered the store, and it really smelled musty. It was pretty big, and Tracey saw the cashier. The people at the register had red hair and blue hair, and they both had fake smiles on their faces.
Tracey likewise smiled at them, and looked around for some drapes. As he looked around, he noticed that the two people at the register were mumbling something to each other, but he let it go.
Suddenly, he found what he was looking for, three sets of Horsea curtains, and they were very beautiful. Tracey took them, and paid for them at the register.
"Hi, I'll get these three plus this bag of Grumpig Bacon Chips", said Tracey, as he handed the curtains and a bag of potato bacon chips to the girl with red hair.
"That'll be 69.99 please", said the woman, still smiling.
Tracey was amazed, three small curtains and a bag of chips for $70? They must be ridiculous.
As the cashiers put the items in the bags, they handed them to Tracey and he walked off, but as he was walking out of the store, the doors closed and locks in front of his face.
"What the..." said Tracey, but the cashiers finished his words for him.
"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of life, surrender now or prepare to fight!", said the one with red hair.
"I'm James, she's Jessie, and this is Meowth", said the one with the blue hair.
"Meowth, that's right!", said a cat Pokemon, drinking a Pina Colada.

"Team Rocket, not you again!", said Tracey, as he looked at them angirly.
"Yes, little twerp, give us your Pokemon and your badges or we will take them by brute force!", said James, as Meowth, finishing his Pina Colada threw it on the ground, and held up a musket, ready to fire.
"This time, you're not in the sea, you're stuck here with no where to hide!", said Jessie, holding her own musket and giving James one too.
Tracey looked ready to listen to Team Rocket.
"Now, little boy, you will die either way. If you don't give us your Pokemon, you will face the consenquences by getting shot at by three muskets, and if you do give us what we want, we will escape in our Meowth balloon, while we bomb this joint sky high!", said Jessie, as she prepared to fire the muskets.
"Well, if this is what it is going to come too, then we might as well make it a battle", said Tracey, getting Horsea's Dive Ball and Voltorb's Poke Ball ready.
"Um, twerp, we don't want a battle.", said Jessie, but suddenly she got a phone call.
"What do you mean Moltres escaped? LAWRENCE, you piece of manure, we had the fire bird! Never mind, I'll be right there, can't you do anything right?", screamed Jessie, as she turned the phone off and took James and Meowth and ran out of the store, letting Tracey escape.

It was almost time for the sun to set, and Tracey walked to the dock. He boarded The Valencia, and put his Badge Case on the Bedside table. He healed Horsea and Voltorb and put them on the Pokeball holder, and put the Horsea drapes up. They looked very matching to the blue painted room, and soon the window on the cabin door, and the two windows in the cabin were covered.

Tracey then fell into a deep feverish sleep, and he saw the dream again...

Light Togetic: Yeah, the Legendary Trio do attack Valencia Island again in the future, but not till the end of the fic. The dream does end when Tracey finishes the Orange League though.


Chapter 8: Reunions

After winning his first badge on Tangelo Island and also getting new drapes for his cabin, Tracey Sketchit is en route to the next island, Mikan Island. It seems that Mikan Island, which is where Tracey can win his second badge, is not very far from Tangelo Island; only about fifty miles. Tracey, during the night, made progress of about twenty miles, so has almost arrived to Mikan. However, before he does arrive, there is one island on the road, known as Lassen Island, and that's where Tracey is headed.

Tracey reached Lassen Island early in the morning. He stopped in the boat parking and decided he would call his parents back in Valencia. He went to the video phone in the cabin, and called home. The answering machine came on. Andrea's face came on as she said "Hello. The Sketchits are not home right now, but please leave a message and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.", and Tracey hung up, as he knew that his parents never check their messages.

Tracey then called Professor Ivy's lab, and she picked up the phone instantly. Tracey didn't see Wailmer around, so he presumed it was in its Pokeball.

"Hi, Professor Ivy! It's me, Tracey! I already won a badge on Tangelo Island, and I'm at Lassen Island right now!", said Tracey, as Ivy looked on happily.

"Lassen Island already? That's great news Tracey, because I know for a fact that your other rivals, May and Misty, are at this very island!", said Ivy, as Tracey's face lighted up.

"Cool! Where are Mom, Dad, Smeargle, and Miltank?", asked Tracey.

"They went down to The Venetian to go eat.", said Ivy. Tracey wished he was with them, but those thoughts were shelved when he realized that he could even challenge May or Misty to a battle!

"Well, Professor, I've got to leave, I'll see ya soon!", said Tracey, as he hung the phone up, took Horsea's Dive Ball and Voltorb's Poke Ball, and headed off for Lassen Island.

As Tracey went on the island, he noticed it was more of a tourist trap than a jungle island like Electric Island or Danbun Island, but he didn't exactly think it was as populated as Valencia Island or Tangelo Island, so he continued walking.

Soon, he saw his rivals, May and Misty standing on a street corner, with their Pokemon. He was proud that his Pokemon looked stronger than their Pokemon did.

May looked the same, and she was taking pictures of her Pokemon, her starter, Azurill, and a new Pokemon she must have caught, Torchic.

Misty's Pokemon looked a bit tougher than May's, but they appeared like they still needed work. Misty's starter, Poliwag, had grown, but she also had caught a rare grass type Pokemon, Sunkern. Tracey had seen a lot of those on Danbun Island. Ned had told him a lot of stories about them. He wanted to see Ned again.

Tracey decided to release his Pokemon too, just to show off to May and Misty how good his were compared to theirs. He threw the Dive Ball and the Poke Ball, and out came Horsea and Voltorb, looking more vibrant than ever.

"Hey, look! It's our friend, Tracey, from Valencia!", said May, as they ran up to Tracey smiling. Misty was clearly blushing.

Tracey hadn't ate his Grumpig Bacon Chips yet, so he pulled it out of his pocket and decided to share it with Misty and May.

"Hi, Tracey. How are you?", asked Misty, with May nodding. Horsea and Voltorb started talking to Sunkern, Azurill, and Torchic. Poliwag seemed a bit anti-social, so it just stayed on Misty's shoulder.

"So, you girls are traveling together?", asked Tracey, with a skeptical look upon his face.

"Yeah, my dad Norman, who's the gym leader in Petalburg City in this nowhere place called Hoenn brought us one for keeps, so we travel in it!", said May, with a dumbounded look on her face. Misty kept looking at Tracey.

"So, I've alredy won one badge.", said Tracey holding up his Orange League Badge Case with the Navy Crimson Badge on the top space.

May started hysterically laughing, while Misty just smiled. "We've already won two badges, from Mikan Island!", said May, as she held of her and Misty's Orange Island Badge Cases, which already had two spaces filled; the Navy Crimson Badge and the Coral Eye Badge.

Tracey just kept to himself, and looked at the Pokemon.

"So, how about a little, like, battle Tracey?", said May, as Misty talked to Poliwag a little bit.

"Sure, May, it'll be a one on one.", said Tracey, getting ready.

They went to the Lassen Park, in the middle of town. The Pokemon waited with Misty, while Tracey and May got in battle mode.

"I'll first choose this COOL Pokemon! Torchic, Go!", said May, as she ordered Torchic onto the grassy arena. Torchic came out, acting cocky.

"Heh, let's see, Go, Horsea!", said Tracey, as Horsea waddled in front of Torchic, ready to battle.

"Torchic, beat that puny seahorse! Ember!", said May, as Torchic shot a few unorganized flames out of its mouth.

"Horsea, dowse 'em with Bubble!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a few bubbles out of its mouth. It completely dowsed the flames.

"Dude, this is not time for a bubble bath", said May, as she ordered Torchic to Peck Horsea.

"Horsea, use Smokescreen!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a deep ink jet at Torchic, which stained its beak, making the Peck inaffective.

"Oh, this brat is getting me angry! TORCHIC! Use, erm, Focus Energy!", said May with a clenched flist.

"Horsea, use Leer!", said Tracey. Horsea used Leer, and everything around Torchic turned black. It couldn't see straight, and the Focus Energy proved to be inaffective.

"Now, Horsea, finish this battle up! Use your Water Gun!", said Tracey, as Horsea squirted a water attack out, which head Torchic head on. The small fire chick toppled on the ground, defenceless.

"Torchic, return now!", said May, as she recalled Torchic in its Love Ball, she started crying on the grass.

"Good job Horsea", said Tracey.

Misty looked like she was gonna throw up at May's sulking.

"Out of the way, May, it's my turn.", said Misty pushing May out of the arena.

"Like girl, what's your problem?", said May, as she recalled her Azurill and put its Dive Ball and Torchic's Love Ball on her waist.

"Nothing, I'm gonna show you how a real battle is fought", said Misty, as she recalled Sunkern and Tracey recalled Horsea.

Tracey and Misty faced each other.

"The Pokemon I will use is going to be Poliwag!", said Misty.

"Heh, you made a grave mistake, Mist. I'm gonna use Voltorb now!", said Tracey.

The anti-social Poliwag faced the overly-social Voltorb; awaiting their masters commands, the battle was going to start...

Very Original. I really like this story since it has many old characters. The chapters are pretty good too I may add. I hope you do really good with this story.

Nice fic; although some of the punctuation is off, it generally has had a good enough storyline to make up for it. Team Rocket has ditched the motto, I see, and none of the anime characters have met each other, excluding Tracey and Prof. Ivy, at least to our knowledge. This type of thing has been tried before, by pikagurl23, for instance (who I haven't seen for ages), but you've done a nice job of making your fic stand out. However, I think a few things could be done to make the fic more noticeable and be taken more seriously. For instance, you might want to try just describing the Pokemon instead of putting an icon directly up there. But if that's how you'd like to run this fic, that's fine. Another related point is just maybe having more description in general. Part of the problem with some fics is that they have all action and no description. You've done a pretty good job so far, though, I have to say. And character development's always good. That's been the main weakness of this fic, I think. Tracey doesn't seem to have changed very much. Even though it's still the early chapters, he'll have to change sometime, or people will lose interest in the monotone character.

I'll enter the contest. If I'm to be riding Articuno, just have me as a real shady guy who goes by the name of "Mr. Pikachu."It doesn't matter to me what Pokemon he has, choose whatever you like. Good luck with this fic, and I'll definitely keep reading!

Chapter 9: Reunions II

Tracey stood on the grassy arena in front of Misty. Her red hair blew in small strands as the wind came her way. May stood and watched, perpelexed by her loss, but also eager to see what would happen.
Voltorb and Poliwag faced each other. Voltorb's round body faced Poliwag's circular one in stress. Poliwag, the anti-social Pokemon, seemed to be a little scared of Voltorb, but it knew that it could defeat it somehow, as both Misty and Poliwag sensed Voltorb's weak spot.

"Okay, Voltorb, start and finish this with your Thundershock!", said Tracey, as Voltorb again fired an electric attack at Poliwag. Before Misty gave a command, Poliwag was shocked, almost to the point of fainting, but it endured the blast.

"Heh, Poliwag's better than that! Use your Water Gun!", said Misty, as Poliwag fired an icy cold water blast at Voltorb, who was shaken but not fainted.

"Heh, Voltorb one more Thundershock, and this mismatch is over!", said Tracey, but suddenly Misty ordered Poliwag to use a Hypnosis attack.

Poliwag's belly spirals started to turn, and turn, and turn, until Voltorb's eyes started to close.

"Come on Voltorb, don't fall asleep!", said Tracey, as Voltorb's eyes started to close even more, until it fell asleep.

Misty cheered on for Poliwag, as the red Pokeball Pokemon started to roll in a deep sleep.

"Now, Poliwag, use your Dream Eater!", said Misty, as Poliwag's belly grew purple, and Voltorb turned black and it seemed like it was having a nightmare, but then it looked perplexed! Poliwag had eaten Voltorb's energy!

"How can a Poliwag learn that?", screamed Tracey. It was clear that his monotone normal personality was going to change for the worse after this potential round.

"Well, Poliwag is a half-psychic Pokemon, so there.", said Misty, as she ordered Poliwag to use another Water Gun on the sleeping Voltorb. Poliwag fired another Water attack, and this time Voltorb got real wet.

"Now, my dear friend Tracey,", said Misty, as May looked on horrified, "What was the last movie Voltorb used on Poliwag before it fell asleep?", asked Misty, in a suspicious tone of voice.

"Um, I think it was Thunderbolt.", said Tracey.

"A trainer I battled on the way here taught my Poliwag a special movie, Mirror Move. It repeats the move used last by the opponent on the opponent.", said Misty, grinning.

Tracey realized he was in for it.

"And now that your Voltorb in Slumberland is asleep, and wet, Poliwag will use Mirror Move on that Voltorb!", said Misty, as Poliwag grew yellow with electricity, and used a Thundershock at Voltorb, who, while wet, and while being an electric type, became conducted, and fainted.

At this point, everything around Tracey turned black. The once green, lush trees became dry ashpits. The bench that May was sitting on became a grave. The grass became sand. The sun became the moon. And Tracey ran. He recalled his Voltorb and ran.

He heard cries behind him from May and Misty, screaming at him to come back, but he ignored them and continued to run. This was his first loss. A loss against a ruthless Pokemon trainer. A ruthless Charlotte, a joke.

He ran and ran and ran, all through Lassen Island. Everything around him was black. He screamed, and screamed, and screamed.


Meanwhile...

"What the hell happened to Tracey?" asked May, as she got up from the bench.

"I dunno, he took his loss so seriously, I guess.", said Misty, as she congratulated Poliwag on its win and recalled it in its Dive Ball.

"It was just one puny battle, I thought Tracey would be a good sport, not a cry baby", said May.

"Shut up May, he's not a crybaby, he's had a hard life", said Misty, as May rolled her eyes.

"I think you have the hots for Tracey", said May, as Misty slapped her. May slapped her back.

"Listen you ****, shut up or my Poliwag'll telepathically teleport you into the ocean!", said Misty. May saw that Misty kinda felt bad for Tracey, but she let it go.

"Whatever, sorry, come on, on to the island where we'll get our third gym badges, I think its Navel Island!", said May.

"Okay, let's go back onto the ship, come on, I'm excited!", said Misty, as May ran after her. They left the park.


Meanwhile...

Tracey still was running. It wasn't the loss. He didn't even know what it was. He saw the dream while running. He saw Articuno behind him, firing Ice Beams wherever he went. He saw Zapdos firing Thunders, and Moltres firing Fire Attacks. One hit his ship, and he was on it. He didn't realize where he was, as he saw himself in three places at once. He saw Danny screaming for help, he saw his parents screaming for help.

His life was a circle, all around him were images from the past, shamless days and nights with Professor Ivy studying in the lab, looking and fantasizing about Misty in History class, his life seemed to be an archeology of madness.

Suddenly, he fell. He couldn't take it any more. He just fell. He heard himself fall with a thud. His eyes closed, and they didn't open.

Your characters are really cool, and you haven't followed the T.V show that much, which makes it more interesting. Chapter 9: Reunions III

Tracey woke up. He was in a white room, with an open window by his side. He was in a big bed, and he saw that he was in white hospital clothes. Horsea's and Voltorb's respective balls were on the bedside table, and the breeze was blowing through the window.

"So, I see that you're all right!", said a woman that Tracey recognized as Nurse Joy. "Some people found you on the street, and brought you in to the Pokemon Center. You seemed to be suffering from epileptic seizures."

Following Nurse Joy was a small egg Pokemon named Chansey; it followed her around wherever she went.

"Now, you look fine. I see no reason why you can't just dress up and leave", said Nurse Joy, but as soon as Tracey got up, he realized he couldn't walk and fell back down on the bed.

"Oh dear, I'll call your mother. Would you give me her number?", said Joy, but Tracey didn't want to worry them so he told her not to call.

The day passed. It seemed that Tracey had spent the night at the Pokemon Center, but he had come that morning after battling Misty. He felt bad for the loss, but he didn't realize why he made a big deal about it.

Suddenly it happened again. The white room turned black. The noises coming out the window from Lassen Island's Main Street turned into cries. Tracey looked around and saw himself standing up.

He heard cries around him. He heard the Legendary Trio behind him, and he took off and ran. He heard cries next to him, around him, all around him. Suddenly, he saw his estate in Valencia. He ran in, it seemed like he was flying. He saw Danny at the front door, his parents behind him. Suddenly, they both disappeared, and he crashed through the window.

Tracey in reality had crashed in the computer of the Pokemon Center. He had in reality gotten out of the bed and ran through the Pokemon Center.

As he fell, he screamed, and cried, and cried, until no voice was heard. He and the broken computer lay in front of an astonished Nurse Joy who carried Tracey to his bed.

Tracey was bleeding everywhere.

"WE CAN'T GET A HEARTBEAT!", said Joy, as she and Chansey tried CPR on the corpse of Tracey Sketchit. Chansey tried using its Heal Bell attack, but Tracey didn't move.

Tracey was dead. Or to his knowledge. If Heal Bell didn't work, then nothing would. That was until something crashed through the window.

"AAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!", said Nurse Joy. A mummified creature came out from the rubble. (This character is going to be the person who wins the contest.

"What are you doing here? GET OUT, OR I'LL CALL OFFICER JENNY!", said Nurse Joy, screaming as she hid behind Chansey. Tracey was still dead.

The creature didn't speak. It took out a gun from somewhere, anywhere, it didn't matter, and shot Joy, once in the head, and twice in the heart. She then shot Chansey's egg twice, and its heart three times.

She was about to shoot Tracey, but saw his Badge Case on the table, and didn't. She got out some kind of a powder from inside her mummy bandage, and poured it on Tracey, then with a clap of her fingers, Tracey returned to infront of his boat, with all his Pokemon and Badge Case. He was returned and recalled to normal.

He turned around and saw that the Pokemon Center was a bunch of rubble, and that people were screaming that Nurse Joy and Chansey were dead; but he seemed to have no knowledge of this. The last thing he remembered was battling Misty; and how her Poliwag beat Voltorb.

He didn't care. As far as he was concerned, he beat May, who seemed stronger than Misty, so it didn't matter.

Leaving his forgotten seizures behind him, Tracey got on his ship, and headed off twenty miles from Lassen Island to Mikan Island.

NIce chapter! The description was nice, and I felt like I could see the chapter playing out in my head as I read. Good job, that's exactly what you want!

Only two mistakes that I saw: You changed the attack that Poliwag copied from Thundershock to Thunderbolt and back! Also, how could Tracey have been dreaming about Misty in history class if he only just met her? Am I missing something there?

Once again, nice work! If it continues this way, I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being a hit! (At least for a trainer fic) Keep it up!

Chapter 10: Team Rocket and Lawrence

As Tracey continued his journey to Mikan Island where he would win his second Coral Eye Badge, Jessie, James, and Meowth, our evil Team Rocket trio, continued in their Feebas sub to Electric Island, where their boss had established a new hideout.

"Jessie, have you ever realized that we have positvely no Pokemon?", said James with a confused look on his face.

"Well, ya got me!", said Meowth, in his raspy and ugly voice.

"No one asked you! Besides the only move you now is Growl, and it is useless in battle!", said Jessie.

"Oh well, you two keep on peddling, I'm gonna go fix myself a Vanilla Pina Colada.", said Meowth, as he got out from the peddling machine and went to fix himself an alcoholic beverage.

"Oh, do whatever you want, you alcoholic cat!", said James, as he continued thinking about what Pokemon would suit them.

Suddenly, Jessie saw their map and calculated that they should be directly by Electric Island now.

They got out of the sub, Meowth with his pina colada, and all ready to head out to land.

Jessie and James and Meowth looked around for a Rocket Grunt to signify that the hideout was near. Suddenly, they both saw two bug type Pokemon that seemed to be staring directly at them.

"Oh, those are Wurmple!", said James, as he saw the cute bug type.

"Exactly the Pokemon Team Rocket is looking for!", said Jessie.

"I want mine to evolve into the evil and strong Dustox!", said James, as he got a Pokeball ready.

"I want mine to evolve into the beautiful and beautiful Beautifly!", said Jessie, as she thought of Beautifly.

"We'll have to weaken them before we catch them!", said James.

"But we don't have any Pokemon, except for this useless cat, but it doesn't know any attacks.", said Jessie, as Meowth continued to drink its Pina Colada.

"Oh well, we've got to try our luck!", said Jessie, as she and James threw their Pokeballs. Jessie's got the left, more femanine Wurmple, and James' hit the right, more masculine Wurmple. They moved once, twice, and finally three times; and then pinged.

"All right! We both caught Wurmple!", said Jessie, as she took her Pokeball and put it on her waste, and James did the same.

"Heh, now you two can actually battle!", said Meowth, in his usual raspy tone of voice.

With two new Pokemon, Jessie, James, and Meowth continued to the hideout, there they saw a Rocket Grunt waiting outside.

"Welcome, Rocket elites.", said the Grunt.

"Welcome, Grunt", said Jessie, as the grunt seemed annoyed.

"The Boss Giovanni left for Viridian City on the mainland, it seems that he had some interesting business to attend to.", said the Grunt.

"Where is Lawrence?", asked Jessie.

"He's downstairs", said the Grunt, as he used his shovel to dig a tunnel entrance. Jessie, James, and Meowth, who finished his Pina Colada, climbed down through the entrance, as the Grunt did the same.

The underground secret base was small. It was lavish. There was a blue couch with a coffee table in front of it. There was a television, and it looked a lot like Tracey's cabin.

On the couch sat a fat, stocky man, with greenish, blond hair, smoking a cigar.

"Lawrence, how awful to see you!", said Jessie, as she held her hand out, and Lawrence kissed it.

"Hello, Madam Jessie, how awfully tempting!", said Lawrence.

James, annoyed, didn't even greet Lawrence.

"Well, Jess, it seems that we meet again here. I must give my sincere apologies for losing track of Moltres; my overhead fortress is huge, but for so me reason it is not immune to fire attacks. I have to spend another million to rebuild it.", said Lawrence.

"Why don't you go and catch some Pokemon in order to battle the bird, smartass.", said James.

Jessie looked at James, and Lawrence chuckled.

"Fool. Don't you know that the legendary birds can't be battled with regular Pokemon?", said Lawrence, as James ate his words.

"Anyway, where were we? Yes, um, I talked to Abagail this morning. She says that she tried to put a Voltorb to guard the Zapdos on this very island, but when a kid caught the Voltorb, the Zapdos escaped.", said Lawrence.

"WHAT?", screamed Jessie. "Why did that old coot put a Voltorb in front of the electric bird!"

"Wait, we know a kid who has a Voltorb!", said James, as Jessie also remembered.

"Hmm, so he's the ones that caught the Voltorb that Abby put; hmm. I see. Abagail is busy, she is the gym leader of Tangelo, she doesn't have time to find rare electric types.", said Lawrence.

"Where is Articuno? Is it just flying around?", asked James.

Lawrence ignored him, but when Jessie asked the same question, he answered "He was last sighted heading for Mikan Island. There was a wierd mummy creature flying on him."

"Well, we'd better scram, the birds have to be caught and tamed", said James, as he got out and helped Jessie. The Grunt dug the hole again and remained inside with Lawrence, while Jessie, James, and Meowth, and their new Wurmple, headed out to the Feebas Sub, and started to follow Tracey to Mikan Island.

Chapter 11: The Mikan Island Gym

Tracey Sketchit, now all healed and back to normal, was heading for Mikan Island. He realized that he was about 10 miles north of it, so he decided to get ready. It was early in the morning, so he got Horsea's and Voltorb's Poke and Dive Balls and healed them. Then, he took his badge case and got out of the railing.

Soon, he was in the boat parking for Mikan Island. He got out, and saw bustling life on the small island community. It, like Valencia Island, had a pretty large shopping center, and smack dab in the middle was the Mikan Island Pokemon Gym.

The gym looked more deserted than an area for battling. It was a grass gym, all ingrown with trees and shrubs. Tracey entered it. The gym was dark, and a short kid with glasses was standing on the grass arena.

"How may I help you?", asked the boy.

"Um, I want to challenge the gym leader for my second Orange League gym badge!", said Tracey, with a clenched fist.

"Very well, let's get this show on the road then!", said the boy.

"You mean to tell me that you're the Pokemon Gym Leader for Mikan Island?", said Tracey, in an astonished voice.

"No, he's not, and he doesn't even have any Pokemon!", said a more developed individual.

"Huh?", said a confused Tracey.

"I am the Orange Island Mikan Gym Leader, Joey Wheeler, and I train dual type water and grass Pokemon.", said Joey, who had blond hair.

"Well, then who's this kid?", asked Tracey.

"This is my little brother, Masato, and he's very annoying", said Joey, as Masato rolled his eyes and stood at the side of the arena.

"All right, this is gonna be a 1 on 1 battle, no time limit! Let's get this show on the road! Go, Lombre!", said Joey, as he threw a Net Ball onto the arena, and a very wierd Pokemon came out onto the grass field.

"What the heck is that ugly thing?", said Tracey, as he got his Dive Ball ready, and sent Horsea out.

Horsea looked rather cute compared to the rather ugly Lomtre.

"Beauty is only skin deep;", said Joey, "Lombre, start off with your Astonish!"

Lombre's eyes grew red, and Horsea felt himself go black, and suddenly saw scary images around him, he got scared and confused, and kept flinching.

"AH! Horsea, you okay, buddy?", asked Tracey, as Horsea kept attacking himself.

"Astonish usually makes the foe flinch and confused! Well, let's use an Absorb, Lombre! Since Horsea is Part Water, Grass attacks like this should be super affective!", said Joey, as both Lombre's and Horsea's bodies grew green. Lombre seemed to be sucking Horsea's energy out.

Horsea grew very weak, as Lombre took even more energy in and looked larger than ever. This is when Tracey noticed the various shrubs around the area. Suddenly, Lombre started glowing white. It became much taller, it's color changed from green to yellow, and it looked like a huge pineapple.

"Hehe, Lombre just evolved into Ludicolo!", said Joey, as Masato gasped.

Tracey and Horsea realized they were in for it. But just like with Relicanth at the Tangelo Gym, size did matter, and he knew how to literally make Ludicolo trip up.

"Ludicolo can now use more advanced grass and water attacks! Start off with a Sunny Day!", said Joey, as the room grew bright. Horsea couldn't see straight, but neither could Ludicolo, so it lost accuracy.

"Horsea, use your SmokeScreen!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired ink from its snout. It hit Ludicolo straight on, and it fell. The sun grew bright. Tracey thought, but before he could think of a strategy, Ludicolo was up.

"Start of with a Solarbeam!", said Joey, as the sun was absorbed into Ludicolo, and it fired a green beam, directly at Horsea. Horsea took the beam straight on, but it wasn't done yet, just very weak.

Suddenly, Horsea's snout grew blue. Masato, Joey, and Ludicolo looked closely. A huge blue twister came out of it. The massive flying attack took Ludicolo by surprise. It took the pineapple in it, turning it around, and finally throwing it into the shrubs.

"Wow, Horsea learned Twister!", said Tracey.

"Now, use your Water Gun!", said Tracey, and Horsea's Water Gun pushed Ludicolo the the wall, and it fainted.

"OH! MY PRECIOUS LUDICOLO! Return!", said Joey, as he recalled his newly evolved Pokemon into its Dive Ball.

"That was great, Horsea!", said Tracey, as he hugged Tracey.

"That was a great match yourself", said Masato, as Joey spoke. "I think you are totally deserving of this badge, take the Coral Eye Badge, as a prize."

As Tracey recalled Horsea, he cheered "I got the Coral Eye Badge!". He put the badge in the Orange League Badge Case, in the second spot, next to the Navy Crimson Badge which he one in Tangelo Island.

As he bid farwell to Masato and Joey, he headed back to the Valencia. He healed Horsea and Voltorb in the PokeBall healer and put his Orange Badge case, with two badges back. He checked the map and it said that the next badge island was in Navel Island, and that he needed to pass Fire Island before getting there.

Fire Island was about 30 miles south, and Navel was likewise 30 miles south.

And so, Tracey headed for Fire Island and finally his ultimate goal, Navel Island.

Chapter 12: Fire Island

Tracey Sketchit woke up. He tossed and turned in bed, but realized that for the last night he did not have the dream that was bothering him. He took his Orange League Badge Case out and looked. He had two badges and two spaces full. The Navy Crimson Badge from Tangelo Island and the Coral Eye Badge at the Mikan Island Gym.
He took Horsea's Dive Ball and Voltorb's Poke Ball and released them out. He hadn't done this for quite a while, he was becoming anti-social kind of like Misty's Poliwag who defeated him on Lassen Island.
Horsea and Voltorb came out of their Pokeballs and looked around. They really had grown a whole lot since Tracey first got them.

Tracey took Horsea and Voltorb and looked outside at the sea. Horsea loved the sea, so he hopped off of Tracey and sat on the railing. Voltorb remained in Tracey's grip. It looked at the sky and wondered where its boss Zapdos was. But it was happy with Tracey.
Suddenly, Tracey sighted that he was very close to an island. He stopped the motor and parked in the deserted Boat Parking. It seemed like this was and used to be a town.
Tracey got up. A sign read "Fire Island". He saw a lot of burned buildings, ash forests, and streets that at least used to exist. Tracey was surprised.
"Sad, isn't it?", said a man with a heavy Southern accent behind Tracey.
"Mr. Wallingrum! From Danbun Island!", said Tracey as he shook Ned's hand. Voltorb and Horsea tried looking around for Cyndaquil, as they had become quite good friends. They saw a Pokemon that looked like Cyndaquil, but bigger and meaner.

"Well, Horsea and Voltorb look good!", said Wallingrum.

"Yeah, they won me two badges!", said Tracey while holding the badge case up. Ned admired the badges, while Horsea and Voltorb looked at the Pokemon.

"Hor Hor Horsea?", asked Horsea to Tracey.

"What, what happened to Cyndaquil?", asked Tracey.

"Oh, this here is Quilava. My Cyndaquil evolved after battling some wild steel Pokemon on the next island after Navel Island. They have many a wild steel Pokemon.", said Ned, as Quilava looked on.

Horsea and Voltorb started talking to Quilava, and they discussed current events.

Mr. Wallingrum and Tracey took a walk, looking around at the sounds and sights of what once was Fire Island.

"What happened here? Why would people want to desert such a nice island?", asked Tracey.

"They all moved to Cinnabar Island in Kanto.", said Ned, with a scurmished look on his face, as Quilava, Horsea, and Voltorb kept on talking.

"Oh yeah, this was the work of the legendary bird Moltres.", said Ned. "One day, for some wierd reason, Moltres didn't want life here. He burned everything, killing many people. This was about three days after the attack on your house, Tracey."

Tracey froze. It seemed like the legendary birds went on a topsy turvy run while killing people.

Suddenly, he bumped into a red-orange Pokemon. "Char Char!", it said smiling.

"Hey, that's a wild Charmander! I would catch it!", said Ned.

"A Charmander? Heh, this is my chance!", said Tracey, while getting a Luxury Ball out.

"Okay, go battle it Voltorb!", said Tracey, as Voltorb stopped talking to Quilava and Horsea and went to battle the lizard Pokemon.

Charmander used an Ember attack, as red flames emptied from its mouth.

"Voltorb, use Sonicboom!", said Tracey, as Voltorb's eyes grew yellow, and it sent out a yellow sonicboom, CHarmander got caught in it, and it was tossed onto the ground hard.

"Now, Voltorb, use Tackle!", said Tracey, but just as Voltorb got close enough to Charmander, it got Scratched in the face.

"Voltorb, use another Sonicboom!", said Tracey, as Voltorb used the same attack that it used before. This time, Charmander was about to faint. Its tail seemed weak. Tracey was about to throw the Luxury Ball, but threw the green Friend Ball instead.

Charmander was pulled inside. The Friend Ball shook once, twice, and three times, and then pinged. Tracey caught Charmander!

The weary Voltorb came back to talk to Quilava and Horsea.

Tracey looked at the Friend Ball and released his new Charmander.

"Hi, Charmander! This is Voltorb and Horsea!", said Tracey, as Charmander walked over to Horsea, Voltorb, and Quilava and started a nice conversation.

"Heh, Pokemon are so cool!", said Tracey.

Suddenly, a net covered Horsea, Voltorb, and Quilava.

"My QUILAVA!", said Ned.

"Horsea, Voltorb, what's going on?", screamed Tracey, as Charmander sat looking around.

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light", said Jessie.
"I'm James, she's Jessie, and this is Meowth!", said James.
"Meowth that's right!", said Meowth in a raspy voice, drinking a pina colada.

"What do you nitwits want with our Pokemon?", said Tracey, with a clenched fist.

"You're the ones who staged my robbery on Danbun Island, didn't you? The Swinub and Mankey who drank your pets Pina Colada almost died!", said Mr. Wallingrum.

"Shut up Grandpa, now twerp, give us your Charmander or we'll electrify this Horsea and throw this Voltorb in the ocean with Quilava!", said Jessie.

"We might as well make it a battle then!", said Tracey.

"Fine, Go Wurmple!", said Jessie.

"Go, Wurmple!", said James.

The two twin Wurmple sat on the ground next to each other, in battle mode.

"I have no choice but to use Charmander; GO!", said Tracey, as Charmander jumped into battle mode, ready to take on the Wurmple.

"Charmander, start off with Scratch!", said Tracey, as Charmander scratched Jessie's Wurmple on the face. Wurmple took back, and collapsed onto James' Wurmple, giving him collateral damage.

"Oh Wurmple, give it your Poison Sting!", said James, as Wurmple fired a Poison Sting attack at Charmander. Charmander held his stomach in pain, it had been poisoned.

"Perfect, now we'll just reel the prey in! Wurmple! String Shot!", said Jessie.

"Yes, Wurmple, you likewise use String Shot!", said James.

Meowth was cheering on.

The two Wurmple fired a String Shot, which hit Charmander, but it was faster. It hit an Ember straight on, setting the string on fire, and eventually hitting Team Rocket and Meowth.

Ned had cut the ned during the battle, and Quilava, Horsea, and Voltorb soon escaped.

"Team Rocket's Blasting Off Again!", said they, as Jessie, James, Meowth, and their Wurmple blasted off again.

"Thanks, Charmander! If Not For you, none of this would happened!", said Tracey, as he recalled Horsea in its Dive Ball, Voltorb in its Poke Ball, and Charmander in its Friend Ball.

As they reached Fire Island's shore again, Tracey waved to Ned and Quilava, as they went to do more exploring. Tracey went in the ship. He healed his Pokemon, then put the Pokeballs on the stand. He know had three Pokemon; Horsea and the Dive Ball, Voltorb and the PokeBall, and Charmander and the FriendBall.

He sailed on towards the third gym, Navel Island.

Chapter 13: Navel Island Cable Cars

Tracey Sketchit was on his boat, sailing on to Navel Island. He saw that the weather was starting to get colder since he parted from Fire Island, and since he loved the cold, he seemed to be in good spirits.
Soon, he sighted Navel Island. It looked like a very cool island, but it was not very populated like Tangelo or Mikan Island, just good enough to have a few stores and a Pokemon Gym where Tracey would win his third Orange Island Gym Badge.
He moored his boat in the Navel Boat Parking, and it just then dawned on him that Navel's main sight to see was Mt. Navel, a huge snow-capped mountain.
"So this is why the weather got so cold after we left Fire Island", said Tracey, as he admired the tall snow capped peak.
He walked through town, scrumigging with Voltorb's Poke Ball, Horsea's Dive Ball and Charmander's new Friend Ball.
He walked inside the Pokemon Center. Nurse Joy was behind the desk, healing a trainer's Pokemon. Surprisingly, she was wearing black.

"Hi, Nurse Joy. Why are you wearing black?", asked Tracey.

Nurse Joy, between sobs, answered, "My sister on Lassen Island was killed by this mysterious person, so all us Joys are mourning her death."

"Do you by chance know where the Navel Island Gym is?", asked Tracey.

"At the foot Mt. Navel, there is a cable car. Board the cable car, and it will take you up to the peak, where the Navel Island Gym, which trains ice Pokemon, awaits.", said Joy.

As Tracey was walking towards Mt. Navel, he was wondering what Pokemon he should use against the ice types. Horsea was a no-go, a water and dragon type wouldn't fare well against ice types. Voltorb could work, but its electric attacks wouldn't be super effective. Charmander would be a perfect choice, as fire moves are super-effective against ice moves, but he did just catch Charmander, and he wasn't sure if it would listen to thim properly.

Tracey walked to the foot of Mt. Navel. He saw a cable car entrance, which would take him up to the snow-capped peak of Mt. Navel, where he could go the gym and have a shot at the badge.

As he entered the cable-car, he noticed it was empty, except for a middle-aged woman with red hair and a middle-aged man with blue hair. Just as the cable-car began the 30 mile journey to get to the top of the high peak, the woman started undressing.

Tracey became very embaressed as the man started to as well. Suddenly, he saw their Team Rocket uniforms under. It was Team Rocket!

"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light!", said Jessie.

"I'm James, she's Jessie, and this is Meowth!", said James.

"Meowth, that's right!", said Meowth, fixing himself a Pina Colada.

"Team Rocket, what do you want?", said Tracey.

"First of all twerp, you have no alternative but to let us have your Pokemon, because of the fact that this cable car is automatic, there is no captain. We are the only ones aboard thie calamity.", said James.

"And, your point is?", asked Tracey.

Jessie held up a gun. "Once we reach the peak of this cold mountain, we can simply get off, do some unlatching of this cable car, and push it off onto Navel Island!", said Jessie.

"And then, you will be a goner!", said Tracey.

Jessie went into the un-manned cockpit, and turned the speed from Medium to Extra Fast. The cable car started going up at full speed.

"Now, we will make you pay for what humiliation you've put us through!", said Jessie, as the cable car zoomed.

"Wurmple!", said Jessie.

"Wurmple!", said James.

Tracey figured he'd give Charmander some experience, if he lives to get through the Navel Gym, it would go him good.

"Charmander, I choose you!", said Tracey.

Charmander came out of its Friend Ball, jumping around and dancing. Tracey realized that Charmander was very hyper.

"Wurmple, start of with your Poison Sting", said Jessie and James at the same time, as Meowth drank his Pina Colada.

"Charmander, use Ember!", said Tracey, as Charmander fired a moderate fire attack, and Wurmple's poison stings came down.

Then, Charmander's Ember hit the Wurmple's and they burned down. As the cable car, now on fast, came to a stop, it was a survival of the fittest as to who would get out of the car fastest.

Tracey and Charmander jumped out, as they grinned at a scared Jessie and James, and pushed the cable car on extra fast downhill.

As Tracey recalled Charmander, who looked like he had quite a bit more experience, he headed off for the Navel Island Gym nearby.

Chapter 14: Icy Battles

Tracey walked on through the snow-capped grounds of Navel Island. He looked all around, but could not find the gym anywhere. He kicked the snow out of his path and just stood there. He saw all of Navel Island, which wasn't a big sight, below him, but at the same time he likewise saw almost all of the ocean.

"Dude, are you like looking for something?", said a young man behind Tracey.

"Yes, I was wondering if you know where the Navel Island Gym is?", asked Tracey.

"Well, it's right here, on this very spot, cause I'm the gym leader, Danny!", said Danny.

Tracey realized that this guy had the same name as his late brother, but he knew they were not the same person.

"Um, you mean that this snowcapped peak is the gym?", asked Tracey in a very deep and surprised vocie.

"Yup, this is it, and this gym trains ice Pokemon!", said Danny.

Tracey looked at the guy. He was pretty short and stocky, but muscular at the same time. He had brown hair, and hazel eyes, and pretty dark skin.

Tracey and Danny took their spots on the so-called "arena" and Danny said in his deep voice, "This will be a 2 on 2 Pocket Monster Battle, no time limit!", said Danny.

"Fine, I choose you Voltorb", said Tracey, as he threw the Pokeball and out came Voltorb, rolling around the ice and also a bit cold.

"Heh, this should be harder for you than anything ever before! My Ice types have an advantage on this cool ground!", said Danny. "Go! Snorunt!", said he, as he threw a Dive Ball on the ice.

"What is that thing?", said Tracey, as he looked at Snorunt. It looked like a hat, but it was sure ugly too.

"Voltorb, start off with a Thundershock!", said Tracey, as Voltorb used an electric attack and it hit Snorunt. Snorunt was shaken, but not down.

"Heh, Snorunt, start off with your Aurora Beam!", said Danny, as Snorunt's inner self grew aqua blue, and it fired a beam at Voltorb.

"Voltorb, Rollout!", said Tracey, as Voltorb started rolling towards Snorunt, at the same time avoiding the Aurora Beam as it was deflecting on its hard body.

"AH! Uh, Snorunt, use Take Down!", said Dannie, as Snorunt starting racing towards Voltorb.

"Voltorb, continue your Rollout!", said Tracey, as Voltorb continued rolling towards the evasive Snorunt.

Both Pokemon collided. They recieved major damage. Each was on its last breath, the collision was hard.

"Snorunt, use Aurora Beam!", said Danny, as Snorunt's inner self grew aqua blue again, and it fired a beam at Voltorb.

"Use your Thunderbolt!", said Tracey, as Voltorb fired a much more better and stronger electric attack at Snorunt. The attacks collided, and an explosion occured. Snorunt fell to one side, and likewise did Voltorb. Both Pokemon fainted.

"Good job, Voltorb, you tried your best.", said Tracey, as he recalled Voltorb in its PokeBall. He was disgusted at the way Danny treated his Pokemon.

"You weakling! Return!", said Danny, as he recalled Snorunt in its Dive Ball.

"This Pokemon is much more stronger than that piece of junk! Go, Sealeo!", said Danny, as he threw another Dive Ball out, this time holding a water/ice type Sealeo.

"Heh, my final Pokemon will be stronger than yours, Danny! Go, Charmander!", said Tracey, as he released Charmander from its ever so familiar Friend Ball.

Charmander kept dancing around, but when it saw Sealeo, it got mature and ready for battle.

"Since Sealeo is also an ice type, it will be weak to my Charmander's brilliant fire attacks!", said Tracey.

"Is that so? Well dude, Sealeo here is also a water type, so your weak fire attacks won't even affect it! Sealeo, Water Gun!", said Danny.

"Come on now, Charmander, counter it with your Ember!", said Tracey, as Charmander used an Ember. The attacks collided, but the water easily prevailed above the fire, and both attacks hit Charmander. It hit the icy peak, and some snow fell over it.

"CHARMANDER!", screamed Tracey, while Sealeo and Danny laughed hysterically.

"That's the best you can do?", asked Danny, as he ordered Sealeo to use an Ice Beam.

"Heh, you haven't seen anything yet. Charmander, get up and use Ember on the attack!", said Tracey. Charmander got up from under the snow, and used Ember. The Ice Beam melted away, and the Ember hit Sealeo, doing pretty much good damage.

Suddenly, Danny got an evil look on his face. He looked around and saw that behind Tracey was a ledge, here he would test Tracey's kindness.

"Sealeo, just stand there, let's wait for our opponent to make his move.", said Danny.

"Heh, Charmander, go behind Sealeo, and use a Mega Punch!", said Tracey, as Charmander ran quickly behind Sealeo, and used a Mega Punch. However, Tracey didn't realize that the attack would be that strong, and it sent Sealeo over the ledge. It was hanging on to a stick that was hanging over the cliff. The ledge clearly wouldn't last long, however.

"Charmander, quick, help it, pull it up!", said Tracey, as Charmander extended its hand out to lift the Sealeo up.

"You know what to do Sealeo", said Danny, as Sealeo fired a Ice Beam directly at Charmander, who got frozen. It then jumped up in front of it.

"You evil man! Charmander was trying to help your fat seel!", said Tracey, as Danny chuckled. Suddenly, inside the chunk of ice, Charmander's tail flame grew larger, and larger. Soon, the ice melted. Out of Charmander's mouth came a huge fire weel of burning flames.

"Charmander learned Flame Wheel!", said Tracey, as the surging flames hit Sealeo, and it collided onto the groud, down and out.

"AH! Sealeo, Return!", said Danny as he recalled the Sealeo.

"Charmander, you did it!", said Tracey, as Charmander, victorious, became very happy.

"Well, dude, you prevailed. Here's your Sea Ruby Badge, your third badge for the Orange League. Just two more dude, and you're in the finals!", said Danny, as Tracey recalled Charmandr and placed his Sea Ruby badge in his badge case, he already had three spots full.

"Um, sir, how do we get down?", asked Tracey, since after his bout with Team Rocket, the cable car had broke.

"Well, if the cable car broke, then we'll just have to make a small car which can take us down," Danny.

"How?", asked Tracey.

"Our Pokemon!", said Danny, as he released Snorunt and Sealeo.

"My ice Pokemon can use Ice Beam and make the car, and your Charmander has nails, so it can carve it. By the way, we'll need a lot of Ice Beams from the Pokemon, maybe a half hour of work.", said Danny.

Tracey wished he could help, but Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmander didn't know any ice moves, but Charmander could carve the ice car.

And so they got to work.

Ah, finally I have found the time to read people's fan fics. (Finals really bog you down....) I really like your story Hanada! I really don't have any criticisms (sp?) so, I'll just say I like it! I do agree with Poke Ruler in some aspects though, because I think that maybe one of Tracey's pokemon should evolve, but hey, that's up to you!

Chapter 15: The Avalanche

Tracey and Danny were on top of Mt. Navel, getting ready to construct the car. Tracey had released Charmander so it could carve the car so they could get down through the steep hills of the mountain. Danny had also released his Sealeo and Snorunt so they could use their Ice attacks to make the car.

"Well, let's get this show on the road, I'm getting hungry! Sealeo, Snorunt, start off with your strongest Blizzard!", said Danny, as Tracey and Charmander looked on.

Snorunt and Sealeo fired the ice attacks out of their mouth, and something started to form. Soon, a big chunk of ice was formed.

"Heh, looks like we're done already!", said Tracey, as he got ready for Charmander to carve.

"You think that's enough? Sealeo, Snorunt, faster and stronger!", said Danny, and he suddenly felt something. From the small mountain snow-capped peak above them something was coming, and it was coming fast!

"HUH! AN AVALANCE! RUN!", said Danny, as he grabbed Snorunt and Sealeo.

He was running down the steep hill downhill as the snow was coming after both Tracey and Danny.

Tracey screamed and he grabbed the terrified Charmander and tried to go down, but he couldn't go fast enough. Sealeo and Snorunt were slipping out of Danny's hands, but held them as close as he could.

Tracey and Charmander were not so fortunate. Tracey kept tripping over small rocks as they ran towards Navel Island. They knew that it was going to be impossible to get down alive, but he knew that he could do it.

Suddenly, Tracey had a plan, and he called to Danny in front of him; "Why don't we go along the trail of the cable car? Then, we won't get lost!", said Tracey, screaming, as Charmander was quietly slipping out of Tracey's hand.

"IDIOT! What do you think! I've tamed this mountain, we can get through these snow-capped rocks!", screamed Danny.

Tracey saw snow-covered rocks camouflaushed all around him, no one could see this part of Mt. Navel from Navel Island. The avalance was still behind them. Danny, older than Tracey, started slowing down.

"QUICK! Take Sealeo and Snorunt! Hurry up!", said Danny, as he handed a terrified Sealeo and Snorunt to Tracey. Tracey, put Charmander on his back, Sealeo on his left shoulder, and he held Snorunt with his right hand.

He was going to go back and help Danny, but he knew he would lose his life. Heck, Danny tried to kill Charmander, but Tracey had a good heart, and he went back. Suddenly, Danny tripped over a rock and fell onto Tracey. They both fell, unable to move. Sealeo and Snorunt were wiped up as well, and Charmander was the only concious member around.

Sealeo and Snorunt soon got up as well, but they were still useless against the arriving avalance.

Suddenly, Charmander got up. His tail flame burned higher than ever, and his skin became redder than ever. His mouth grew open, and his teeth became more vibrant than ever. Flames grew in its mouth, and Charmander used the strongest fire attack in existence, Flame Blast. The fire attack hit the avalanche head on, and it just melted. Turning into water.

Now, it was Sealeo and Snorunt's turn. They, used their Ice Beam, and froze the water into snow once again. The once loud avalance, after Charmander, Sealeo, and Snorunt's work, now turned into what it was before, snow. Mt. Navel was peaceful again.

Soon, everything was back to normal at the Navel Island Pokemon Center.

"I want to thank you for the way you saved me.", said Danny.

"Don't thank me, sir, thank our Pokemon!", said Tracey, as he patted Charmander on the head, and Danny likewise patted Snorunt and Sealeo.

"Well, I'm happy to tell you all that the cable car has been fixed!", interuppted Nurse Joy.

"YAY! Now I can go back to my gym!", said Danny, as he recalled his Pokemon and went back to the Cable Car.

Soon, Tracey and Charmander left as well, and got on The Valencia.

Tracey realized that many of the food he had had spoiled, he had no fridge. So once he got to Trovita Island, the next island where his fourth gym badge would be, he would buy a fridge or something.

And so, he and Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmander headed for the next island, Trovita.

That was pretty good chapter kinda short though but none the less a very good chapter. I hope the next is more evil! ;)

Meh, it wasn't as good as some others. It was a little cut-to-the-chase, if you know what I mean. But anyway, it wasn't bad, but you should have developed a little bit more of the part where Tracey helps Danny. Also, where Charmander used Fire Blast (Since when was Sacred Fire not the strongest fire attack?) was a little unbelievable. A little pokemon couldn't stop an avalanche that was about to kill two people.

Anyway, this was definitely not your best chapter. But I'll keep reading, and hopefully the next chapter will be awesome.

Chapter 16: Steel Island and the Steelix

Tracey continued on to Trovita Island on The Valencia. It was morning, and the sun rose above the ship. Tracey was still in bed, and Horsea's Dive Ball, Voltorb's Poke Ball, and Charmander's Friend Ball were all on the Poke Ball holder.
Tracey woke up, and streched. He went in and took a shower and washed up. Soon, Tracey realized that he was starved. He took some mashed potatoes he got from Navel Island's PokeCenter, but it had spoiled. Tracey really needed a fridge.
He got out and deck, and sighted another island. He ran in and looked on his map. It seemed that Trovita Island was right around the corner, but first they need to pass through two more islands, and this was the first one, Steel Island.
Tracey released his Pokemon. Horsea hadn't been out for a while, so it opened its eyes and recognized Tracey and hopped on his shoulder.
Voltorb started rolling aboard deck, and Charmander hopped off by itself and looked at the sea.

Tracey soon slowed the motor down, and stopped it in the boat parking. He saw that the island was deserted, and covered by lush trees and shrubs, in addition to a lot of steel Pokemon. Tracey and his Pokemon started walking around on Steel Island,. Tracey saw a lot of rare Pokemon, like Aron and Mawile, but didn't want to catch them. Suddenly, Horsea saw a very dirty sign, bearly unreadable.

"What did you find; Horsea?", asked Tracey. Voltorb and Charmander came and looked too.

"Horsea, use your Water Gun to wash the dust off!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a Water Gun on the sign to make it clean again. Soon, it was readable. It said "BEWARE OF THE GIANT STEELIX".

"Giant Steelix? This should be a wonder to sketch.", said Tracey, as he took out his blue sketchbook and started walking around, looking for this so called giant Steelix.

Suddenly, he saw a huge cave at the end of the path. His curiosity got the best of him, and he and his Pokemon entered the cave. It was very dark, but Voltorb used its Flash Attack, and Charmander used its Tail to guide them through the tunnel. Horsea was a little scared, but Tracey comforted it.

Suddenly, they heard a roar. But this was a different kind of a roar. It wasn't like the roar of an Onix or a Rhyhorn, it sounded like the roar was accompinied by metal clanking.

Suddenly, Tracey screamed. It was a Steelix! But it was huge, and it looked shiny and rare. It looked freaky, and Tracey started sketching. He could send this to Professor Ivy, she could do some research on it.

"Oh my God, a giant, shiny Steelix!", gasped Tracey. He got a Heavy Ball ready. "Charmander, use your Flame Wheel!", said Tracey, as Charmander rolled into Steelix. The Pokemon, despite being weak to fire attacks, didn't feel the blast, but it was annoyed.

The Steelix glared at Tracey and his Pokemon, particularly Charmander. He took pity on Horsea and Voltorb, both scared to death, but he looked at Charmander, who didn't look scared at all.

Steelix, who looked old, started running after Tracey and his Pokemon.

"Not another chase.", said Tracey, who rolled his eyes, as they ran towards the exit. They lost Steelix at one point, and soon the exit seemed closer.

Just as they were about to exit, a giant rock blocked their way. Tracey could hear Steelix behind them, but now he also heard another voice:

"Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light, Surrender now or prepare to fight", said Jessie.

"I'm James, she's Jessie, and this is Meowth!", said James.

"Huh? Where's Meowth?", Tracey asked annoyed.

"Oh, we forgot. We gave him the Feebas Sub. He was going to go buy some pina colada from nearby Labusso Island, and he would meet us there.", said Jessie.

"Anyway, I don't have time for you people, there's a giant Steelix chasing us and we've got to get out of here fast!", said Tracey urgently.

"Oh, is that so? Well you can tell the Steelix that we need your Pokemon before we nab Steel--", but before James could finish, they saw the Steelix.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH", all three of the screamed, as the Steelix halted.

"Cool, we'll weaken it and then catch it! Go Wurmple!", said James, as both he and Jessie threw the Pokeballs containing Wurmple.

"You expect to beat this holy terror with two weak bug types?", asked Tracey sarcasitcally.

"Yes! Wurmple use Tackle!", said both Jessie and James, as the twin Wurmple ran as fast as they could towards the Steelix.

The Steelix was taken aback a little bit, but it used its own Tackle and hit the Wurmple back.

"Wurmples, use String Shot!", said Jessie, as the two Wurmple fired the strings at Steelix, who dodged them both easily.

Suddenly, Steelix started flinging its tail towards the two Wurmple.

"What move is that?", asked Jessie, blinking twice.

"Iron Tail, one of the most powerful steel moves", squinted Tracey, as Steelix was ready to kill the Wurmple. Suddenly, Jessie's Wurmple began to glow, as did James's.

Steelix stopped.

"What's happening?", asked Jessie, while James looked on horrified.

"Your Wurmple are, are, evolving!", said Tracey, as Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmander looked on.

Chapter 17: Catch of the Steelix

Tracey, Horsea, Voltorb, Charmander, Jessie, James, and the giant Steelix watched as Jessie's and James' Wurmples glowed white, and they grew in size. They became circular, and stopped glowing. They evolved!

"My Wurmple evolved into a beautiful Silcoon!", said Jessie, as she held up the white, circular bug type in her hand.

"And just look at my Wurmple! It is now a Cascoon!", said James, as he held up the purplish bug type in his arms.

Jessie and James started dancing, as Tracey rolled his eyes.

"People, we have a battle to finish!", said Tracey, as he glared at the giant Steelix.

"All right, Silcoon use Tackle!", said Jessie, but Silcoon just sat there. James did the same with Cascoon, but it ceased to move as well.

"Dunces! Silcoon and Cascoon can't move once they evolve from Wurmple!", said Tracey, as Jessie and James yelled at their Pokemon, "Why can't you two move!".

"They still can learn Harden," whispered Tracey, as the Steelix started to use another one of its special Iron Tail moves.

"Silcoon, Cascoon, Harden!", said Jessie and James, as the Silcoon and Cascoon hardened their shells. As Steelix thrust his tail on the cacoon Pokemon, despite being hardened, they hit the wall.

"Even though they evolved, they're still weak...", said Jessie, as she and James recalled their new Silcoon and Cascoon in their PokeBalls.

"We've gotta beat this thing, and I know how.", said Tracey. He remembered his battle in the Tangelo Island Gym against Abagail and her Relicanth. Relicanth was huge, and Horsea was small.

"Go, Horsea!" commanded Tracey, as Horsea reluctantly hopped off of Tracey's shoulder and got ready to battle Steelix.

"Horsea, Smoke Screen!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired an ink attack at Steelix's face, but it moved out of the way. Then, it got ready for another Iron Tail.

"Horsea, stay there!", said Tracey, as the Iron Tail got ready to attack Horsea.

As the tail was about to hit, Tracey screamed for Horsea to leap out of the way, and Steelix's tail crashed the rock blocking the exit, leading them a way out.

Suddenly, before Tracey was getting a Heavy Ball ready to catch the Steelix and add it to his arsenal, when both he and Team Rocket heard a thud behind them.

Suddenly, entering the cave, was a person dressed in a mummy. He held a revolver in his left hand, and something that looked like a stringshot in his right.

Tracey gasped. He recognized this person as the one who killed Nurse Joy of Lassen Island.

"Give me that Steelix", said the mummy, in a deep, robotic voice.

"Dude, what a bad outfit!", said Jessie.

"Plus, this Steelix is ours for the taking!", said James.

"FOOLS!", said the mummy, and a kind of white beam came from the string shot, and Team Rocket, Silcoon, and Cascoon dissapeared.

Tracey scared to death, stared at the red eyes of the mummy creature.

"Step Aside, Boy", said the mummy, and Tracey stepped aside.

"You are mine, Steelix", said the mummy, as he threw a dark black ball at Steelix. The huge Pokemon was sucked in, and without even shaking was returned.

"What ball is that?", said Tracey, as Charmander looked on.

"It is a Dark Ball, you could never understand its true power", said the mummy, as he attached the Dark Ball to its waste, and teleported outside. Horsea was freaked out as was Voltorb, so Tracey recalled them.

Charmander, braver than the rest, stayed out of its ball. One the way back, Charmander beat some wild Mawile and Aron, even a tough Lairon. Its Flame Wheel attack was real good, it was almost perfected.

Soon, Tracey got back on The Valencia. He got on deck, locked the cabind door, and closed the drapes. It wasn't that late yet, about eight or nine o'clock.

He let his Pokemon out of their Balls inside the cabin. Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmander watched television. It was the Pokemon television show, and it was the episode where Ash's Charmander evolved into Charmeleon to defeat a bunch of Exeggcutor. Charmander watched with wonder as Ash's Charmander evolved.

Tracey sat on his bed, reading a Pokemon Romance Novel that his mother Andrea wrote. He was going to call them once he recieved four badges at Tangelo Island.

Suddenly, he heard noises around his ship. He saw Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres again. They were following his ship. Tracey didn't panic, he put the book away, and just looked out the window, sketching in awe and agony.

Suddenly, as he finished drawing Moltres and Zapdos, he saw that on Articuno was a mummy man! The one who caught the Steelix this afternoon! He looked inside the cabin, and seemed to be looking for something.

Tracey sketched away anyway, Professor Ivy would love his collection so far; the three pictures of all of the legendary birds, and also the giant Steelix he found on Steel Island.

And so, as the birds left, Tracey recalled Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmander, and put their Dive Balls, Poke Balls, and Friend Balls on the Pokeball Holder. He then got in bed and slept.

He saw the dream again. Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno were running after him, and Dannie was calling his voice. But, the dream ended again.

Chapter 18: Charmander and the Mirror Man

Tracey Sketchit was still heading for Trovita Island on his ship christened The Valencia. He had already passed Steel Island, and knew that there was one island left blocking him from Trovita and his fourth gym battle, Labusso Island.

He finally saw Laubsso in the distance. This meant that he was almost fifty miles north of Trovita.

He moored his boat in the Boat Parking, which was pretty crowded. He took his Pokemon and healed them, and put Horsea's Dive Ball, Voltorb's Poke Ball, and Charmander's Friend Ball on his belt, and headed off for Labusso Island.

Labusso Island was pretty small, but it was also big. There were a lot of people on the streets, some musicians were playing jazz, and there were Pokemon battles going on in the main square. Tracey watched the battle, it was an Ursaring VS a Donphan.

"Donphan, use Submission!", said the younger trainer, as Donphan started rolling towards the large Ursaring.

It hit Ursaring straight on, who collided almost on its trainer.

"Ursaring, get up and use your Mirror Move!", said the older trainer, and Ursaring popped up and used Submission on Donphan, fainting it.

"Amazing...", said Tracey, as he started sketching it.

The younger trainer recalled Donphan and ran to the Pokemon Center.

"Anyone else want to challenge me and my mirrored Ursaring?", asked the older man. "If you defeat us, we will teach your best Pokemon the Mirror Move skill!", said the man, as people started walking away.

Tracey gasped, this must have been the person Misty battled who taught her Poliwag Mirror Move.

"Um, sir, I'd like to try battling you.", said Tracey, as he got out from the sidelines onto the main arena.

"And who might you be?", asked the man.

"I'm Tracey Skechit, from Valencia Island, and I already have three badges!", said Tracey, holding up his Orange League Badgecase, as the man admired his three badges he won.

"Interesting, Interesting. I'm the Mirror Man, and if you defeat me, I'll teach your strongest Pokemon the Mirror Move skill.", said the Mirror Man.

"Go, Ursaring!", said the Mirror Man, as he threw a Heavy Ball onto the arena, revealing an Ursaring. It flexed its muscles and growled.

Tracey thought. His choices were narrow. Horsea was small. It was also not very experienced, and it didn't have a wide variety of attacks. Voltorb was the same, plus, Ursaring was also a fighting type, and it would beat Voltorb easily. Charmander was his only choice. It was strong and experienced, and knew a wide variety of attacks. He maximixed the Friend Ball.

"Go, Charmander!", said Tracey, as he threw the Friend Ball onto the arena.

"Charmander, get this show on the road! Start off with a Flame Wheel, aim for its ring!", said Tracey, as Charmander, who looked ready for battle, started going around in a wheel, with flames embedded around it.

Ursaring was hit in the ring, and fell. It was already weak after one hit from Charmander.

"Ursaring, Rest!", said the Mirror Man, as Ursaring fell asleep.

Tracey knew this move. Ursaring would fall asleep and heal its wounds. Ursaring, still asleep, looked fresh and clean.

"Heh, it may be strong again, but it's asleep! Charmander use Double Kick!", said Tracey as Charmander ran over to Ursaring, kicked it twice, and tried to wake it up.

"Heh, Ursaring, Snore!", said the Mirror Man.

"What?", said a surprised Tracey.

Ursaring's ring grew white, and noises came out from it, seizing Charmander, and weakening him.

Then, Ursaring woke up.

"Heh, now you will pay the ultimate price! Ursaring, Mirror Move!", said the Mirror Man, while Ursaring repeated the Double Kick, kicking Charmander once in the stomach and once in the jaw. The Pokemon was thrown on the ground.

"Charmander? You Okay!", screamed Tracey, as red blood was oozing out of its nose.

"Now, the end will come for Charmander! Use Hyper Beam!", said the Mirror Man, as Ursaring's ring grew white again, and an immense beam collided onto Charmander, sending it flying. Charmander looked hurt. But it looked ready. The Pokemon would just not give up.

"This match is over! Ursaring, another Hyper Beam!", said the Mirror Man, as Ursaring's ring grew white again, but suddenly, Charmander got up.

"Char Char", said Charmander, as it glowed white. Both Tracey and the Mirror Man looked on, as well as the crowd that had gathered.

It grew in size, and it's tail became bigger. It grew two small horns on its head. Charmander evolved into Charmeleon!

Charmeleon was more muscular than Charmander ever was. It was bright red in color, and its tail flame burned. Its jaw, once bloody, was now straight, and its jaws were scary. It was ready to battle Ursaring.

"Oh, dear.", said the Mirror Man.

"Mirror Man, Charmeleon can learn a few electric attacks as well as some fighting ones!", said Tracey.

"Charmeleon, use a real Double Kick!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon ran up to Ursaring and kicked it twice in the ring. The Pokemon was confused.

"Ursaring, use a Hyper Beam!", said the Mirror Man, as Ursaring fired a Hyper Beam from its ring.

"Charmeleon, fire a Flamethrower!", said Tracey, as the two attacks collided. Charmeleon's flame attack hit Ursaring in the ring, as well as taking the Hyper Beam through it. Ursaring fainted.

"We did it Charmeleon!", said Tracey, as he hugged his new Charmeleon.

As the Mirror Man recalled Ursaring, he congratulated Tracey.

"Well, I'll teach Charmeleon Mirror Move now.", said the Mirror Man, and he put a cloth on Charmeleon's head. He said some kind of spell, and took the cloth off.

"There, Charmeleon has now used Mirror Move", said the Mirror Man, and he went off, not even saying bye to his opponent.

Tracey recalled his new Charmeleon in its new Friend Ball, and headed off for his ship.

As he entered the cabin, he sent out Charmeleon, Horsea and Voltorb.

Horsea and Voltorb seemed a bit surprised at their new friend Charmeleon, but they seemed to like him. Soon, nightfall fell. Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon watched Pokemon on television again.

Tracey suddenly had to go into the bathroom. As he was washing his hands, he saw that one of the drawers was missing. There was a handle there. He opened the drawer, and saw that it was a mini-fridge!

Now he didn't have to buy a fridge at Trovita anymore! He put some sodas inside the mini-fridge, as well as some other foods.

Soon, nightfall fell. He recalled Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon and put the Dive Ball, the Poke Ball, and the Friend Ball on the Pokeball Holder.

He headed off to Trovita Island, while sleeping. He saw the dream again, but he forgot all about it soon.

Chapter 19: Valencia Island

As Tracey continued towards Trovita Island on his ship, The Valencia, with his three Pokemon, Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon, life on Valencia Island, his home passed by quite quickly and usual.
It was a cloudy day, and Andrea Sketchit and Drew were at their estate, both working on books. Drew was in his office, working on a book about the Pokemon Renaissance, and about the many works of art that had taken place.
Andrea was in her office next door, which was on the third floor of the estate, overlooking the ocean, working on a Pokemon Romance Novel. She hoped this was her best one, but she thought it wasn't as good as some of her other ones. Miltank was next to her, drinking some milk, thinking of Smeargle. Smeargle was likewise next door in Drew's office, drawing on Drew's canvas.

Next door in Prof. Ivy's estate, life was much more relaxed. Professor Ivy was on her third floor laboratory, reading a book on Water Pokemon. Wailmer was next to her, trying to look up her skirt. Finally, Ivy noticed.

"Wailmer, please stop that!", said Ivy, as Wailmer blushed.

Suddenly, she got a phone call. She picked up the Wailmer shaped phone, and answered, "Hello?".

"Is this Professor Ivy's laboratory?", said a man with a British accent.

"Yes, this is Professor Ivy, how may I help you?", asked Ivy, surprised at the call.

"Lady, we're gonna come for you soon. I assure you. Now, tell us where we can find the legendary ice type, Articuno", said the man, whose British accent turned gruff by the minute.

"I don't know anything about Articuno, and even if I did, why would I tell any of you?", asked Ivy, feeling uncomfortable.

"That's it girl, you passed the line. We know exactly where you live. If you hang up, we'll call back, and tell you to write a will for yourself, as we're gonna come and kill ya! Now, where is Articuno?", screamed the man, whose British accent turned gruff.

Ivy sweatdropped. Wailmer looked at her face, feeling that his trainer was scared. It comforted her. Ivy put the phone down. She suddenly felt the phone ring again. Once, twice, three times. Ivy realized that she was as good as dead.

She picked up the phone, traumatized.

"Yes?", she asked, in a feverish sort of voice, as Wailmer looked up at his trainer.

"Hello? Professor Alicia Ivy?", asked a man, with a French accent.

"Yes?", asked Ivy. It seemed that was the only word she could say at this time; her death threat had still not left her head.

"I am Mr. Theodore Bartholomew, of the Lillycove Art Museum in Lillycove City, in Hoenn.", said the man.

Ivy sighed a sigh of relief. It wasn't that evil man, she knew Mr. Bartholomew.

"Hello, Mr. Bartholomew, who may I help you?", asked Ivy.

"Well, we know that your neighbor is Drew Sketchit, a world-famous Pokemon art historian.", said Bartholomew.

"Yes, we are very good friends.", said Professor Ivy, as Wailmer went up her skirt.

"STOP THAT, you pervert!", said Ivy, recalling Wailmer.

"Pardon me?", asked Bartholomew, surprised.

"Oh no, I was talking to myself.", said Ivy, sweatdropping.

"Yes, anyway, I hear he has a Smeargle. I would like it if he could get a temporary job at the Museum, as a curator of sorts.", said Mr. Bartholomew.

"Well, I will ask him!", said Professor Ivy, as she put the phone down, and ran down three flights of glass stairs, and across the field to the Sketchit estate.

She rang the doorbell, and Andrea came to the door, with Miltank behind her.

"Hi, Alicia!", said Andrea, as Miltank nodded.

"Hi, Andrea! How are things?", said Ivy, as Drew and Smeargle ran down the glass stairs. Miltank looked at Smeargle, blushing.

"How about we have the Pokemon play in the backyard while we talk?", asked Drew, as Smeargle, Miltank, and Wailmer went outside in the yard to play. As the Pokemon played, Ivy, Andrea, and Drew sat at the kitchen table, eating some pie and tea that Andrea made.

"I just got a call from Mr. Bartholomew of the Lillycove Art Museum, and he was asking about you, Drew.", said Alicia, as she took a bite of the vanilla creme pie.

"Oh? Isn't that museum world famous?", asked Andrea.

"Yes, it's huge. It has ancient art pieces. Anyway, what was he inquiring, Alicia?", asked Drew.

"He wanted to know if you wanted to be a curator of the museum?", said Ivy.

Andrea and Alicia both looked at Drew, awaiting an answer.

"Um, a curator? All the way in Hoenn?", asked Drew.

"Yes, I heard it would pay millions.", said Alicia.

"Well, Lillycove Island is thousands of miles away. I couldn't leave Miltank and Andrea here alone.", said Drew.

"Dannie is dead, and Tracey is on his quest.", said Andrea.

"I'll call him back and tell him you'll think about it.", said Alicia.

"I got a death threat this afternoon, a man inquired to where Articuno was.", said Alicia, thinking as she sipped her tea.

"What? We have to get Officer Jenny!", said Alicia as Drew handed her the phone and she prepared to call "9-1-1".

"No, I don't want to get the police involved in this. Just let it go, it was probably a prank call anyway.", said Ivy, even though she was scared inside.

So, as Miltank, Smeargle, and Wailmer played outside, and Drew, Alicia, and Andrea talked inside, humdrum life on Valencia Island continued.

Chapter 20: Rocket Science

As Tracey headed on to Trovita Island, Electric Island's Team Rocket hideout was still in its prime. Lawrence the III sat in the underground hideout, watching television. His fortress was in the sky above the island, when he sighted a legendary bird, he would just press a button in the hideout, and the fortress would be there. Lawrence sat in the hideout, watching a show.
He flipped the channel, and saw an adult movie. He put the remote down and started watching, with a smirk on his face. Suddenly, he heard the Rocket Grunt starting to dig the dirt so he could get into the fortress, and he soon finished. He entered the lavish room and saw the show. He started to grin.

"Nice, isn't it?", said Lawrence.

Suddenly, Jessie, James, and Meowth came in the room as well. Meowth was drinking a Caramel Pina Colada, and was in a conversation with Jessie and James.

"So, youse two Wurmple evolved into Silcoon and Cascoon?", said Meowth, in his usual raspy tone.

"Yes.", said Jessie.

"But all they can do is defend themselves, they can't even battle.", said James.

Meowth nodded.

Suddenly, as Jessie entered the room, Lawrence the III switched the television off, and grinned at Jessie.

"Good afternoon, Jessie", said Lawrence, standing off, and kissing Jessie's extended hand.

"Hello, Lawrence. How wonderful to see you!", said Jessie, admiring Lawrence's well fit body. The Grunt, who was pretty muscular started showing off his muscles, but Jessie still admired Lawrence.

James and Meowth looked like they were going to puke.

"Well, if it isn't the two goldiggers!", said Lawrence, pointing to James and Meowth.

"What did he call us two, Jimmy?", said Meowth, looking at James in his gruff voice.

Ignoring them, Lawrence said to Jessie, "Well, I made a death threat to Professor Alicia Ivy of Valencia today. She should be telling me where Articuno is."

James and Meowth stared at Lawrence.

"Listen, you street cats, leave us alone in here, I want to speak to Jessie.", said Lawrence, shooing the Rocket Grunt, James, and Meowth out of the secret base. He sat next to Jessie on the couch.

"Well, Jessie, it has come to my attention that we are both single.", said Lawrence.

"Well, yes.", said Jessie, taking Lawrence's hand into hers. Lawrence meanwhile got a small blue box out from his pocket. He opened it, revealing a goregeous red ruby ring.

"Jessie, will you marry me?", he asked. Jessie's face sweatdropped. She looked once at the ring and once at Lawrence. It appeared that she was quite skeptical about taking such a step.

Suddenly, she heard James and the Grunt scream for Jessie and Lawrence come out.

"I think they might have spotted something.", said Lawrence, as he threw the ring and pressed the button. As he and Jessie got out, the fortress, which Lawrence had rebuilt came towards them. It was huge, yellow in color. It appeared that there was a space for three legendary Pokemon there, as well as a space at the top which was Lawrence's office.

"What seems to be the problem?", asked Lawrence as Jessie looked on.

"We have spotted the legendary Pokemon bird Zapdos.", said James, as Meowth nodded.

Lawrence ignored them.

"We have spotted the legendary Pokemon bird, Zapdos!", said the Rocket Grunt, as Lawrence's face lighted up. Sure enough, Zapdos was flying around the fortress. The lightning bird was immense, and Lawrence wanted to catch it.

As the fortress neared Electric Island, Lawrence jumped on.

"Lawrence, knock em dead!", said Jessie, as Lawrence nodded. He sat at the wheel, directing the fortress to Zapdos.

Zapdos looked to his left, and saw Lawrence. It kept firing Thunder attacks to the fortress, but the steel fortress was immune. Lawrence fired steel orbs to conceal the Pokemon, and even though Zapdos kept dodging it, he couldn't go on forever.

"Zapdos, Team Rocket wants to rule the world! Electric Island, now that you're gone, is going to be ours, as well as your siblings, Articuno and Moltres!", said Lawrence, as he threw the last orbs at Zapdos.

Zapdos was concealed, and thrown inside the fortress.

Lawrence the III sighed a sigh of relief, and lowered the fortress back down to Electric Island.

"I DID IT!", said Lawrence, as Jessie kissed him on the lips. The Rocket Grunt congratulated him, and James and Meowth just stood there, looking at Lawrence kiss Jessie.

In the fortress, Zapdos, stuck in the orb, cryed out. Its electric attacks were useless.

"Now, Jessie, will you marry me?", asked Lawerence, as James and Meowth, horrified, looked on.

Jessie looked once at Lawrence, and once at James. Once at Lawrence, and once at James. Who? Who?

Chapter 21: The Psychic Battle

Tracey was heading in The Valencia to the next island, Trovita. He saw the island in the skyline, and was excited that he would be getting ready to enter the Orange League in a short while. Tracey went in his cabin, he got a battle of Lapras water from the fridge and drank up. Then, he sent out his Pokemon out on deck as he saw the island get closer.
Horsea sat on the railing and looked at the sea, its red eyes looking brightly. Voltorb was rolling around on deck, and Charmeleon was by Tracey.

Soon, they reached Trovita Island. Trovita was pretty small, not smaller than Navel Island, but pretty small. There was a couple of stores, and a town square, but the gym was nowhere to be found. After looking around, Tracey gave up. It was wierd, there was no sight of a gym anywhere. Tracey went into the Pokemon Center. He saw Nurse Joy there, and instead of a Chansey, she had a Kirlia.

"Excuse me, Nurse Joy, but where is the Trovita Island Gym?", asked Tracey.

"The Trovita Gym? It's not in the town, dearest. It's up in the Trovita Desert, north of here. There's no more sea for a while, it's just clear land.", said Joy.

Tracey thought. If he was gonna be walking, then what would happen to his ship.

"You can leave your ship here, and my Kirlia will teleport it to you once you're by the sea again.", said Joy.

"How do you know what I was thinking?", asked Tracey.

"Kirlia and I can communicate telepathically.", said Joy, and Tracey nodded.

So, he took some stuff from the ship as well as a sleeping bag, and headed off into the Desert. The desert was sunny, and long. He saw a few Trapinch and Vibrava there, but it was nothing he couldn't handle. He gave his Pokemon some experience, and head off.

He couldn't find the gym anywhere, until he saw a man working out in the desert. He had brown hair, blue eyes, and was topless. He had a lot of arm muscles, a six pack, and calves. He was lifting heavy weights. He had a Kadabra to his left and a Exeggcutor to his right.

"And who might you be?", asked the man.

"I'm Tracey, from Valencia Island, and I'm looking for the gym leader of Trovita Island.", said Tracey.

"Well, you found him! I'm Rudy, the gym leader here!", said Rudy, as Tracey shook his muscular hand.

"Well, where's the gym. Follow me, concentrate your mind on mine.", said Rudy, and suddenly, Tracey felt himself turn white, he was now in another place, a cool room.

"Where am I?", asked Tracey.

"I used my psychic powers to teleport you back to the gym.", said Rudy.

"Now, let's have a two on two battle, no time limit! Go Kadabra!", said Rudy, as he sent his Kadabra out. It flexed its muscles.

"Go, Horsea!", said Tracey, as he threw the Dive Ball onto the arena.

Horsea came out, intimidated by the opponent.

"Kadabra, use your Psybeam!", said Rudy, with a clenched first, as Kadabra fired a purple beam at Horsea.

"Horsea, use Agility!", said Tracey, as the small seahorse sped along the arena, untouched.

"Now, Horsea, use Water Gun!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired an icy cool blast at Kadabra.

"Kadabra, Teleport!", said Rudy, as Kadabra teleported from the arena, untouched.


Secret Code: Tattsu

"This doesn't work, we're just evading each other. Horsea, use Twister!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a Twister at Kadabra. Kadabra was caught in it, and thrown to the floor.

"Kadabra, use Psychic!", said Rudy, as Kadabra fired a purple blast which hit Horsea head on.

"Horsea, use Dragon Rage!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a red beam from its snout, hitting Kadabra. The psi Pokemon instantly fainted.

"Return, Kadabra.", said Rudy, recalling the psi Pokemon. "Go, Exeggcutor!", said he, as a coconut headed Pokemon came out.

"I'm not dumb, Rudy, Horsea won't stand a chance against this thing.", said Tracey, as he recalled Horsea in its Dive Ball.

"Go, Charmeleon!", said Tracey, as he threw the Friend Ball into the arena.

Charmeleon came out, flexing its muscles.

"Exeggutor, start off with Razor Leaf!", said Rudy, as Exeggutor conjured some leaves and sent them flying towards Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, hit it with your Ember!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon used its moderate fire attack burning the leaves.

"Exeggutor, don't back down!", said Rudy.

"Charmeleon, Flame Wheel!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon started rolling towards Exeggutor.

"Ha! Use Your Vine Whip!", said Rudy, as the coconut started using vine attacks on the lizard, however, its vines were soon burned.

Charmeleon hit Exeggutor, throwing it to the other side of the arena, it was burned.

"Exeggutor, use Psywave!", said Rudy, as Exeggutor's eyes grew red, and it fired small psychic beams.

"Charmeleon, use Mirror Move!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon grew white and used a Psywave as well.

Eventually, Charmeleon's Psywave hit Exeggutor, weakening it to the point of fainting.

"Now, finish this, use another Flame Wheel!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon prepared to hit it.

"Quick, use Solarbeam!", said Rudy, as Exeggutor took sunlight in.

"Oh no, if Rudy uses this attack, then we're done for.", said Tracey, hoping that Charmeleon would be quicker.

The Solarbeam was about to fire, but Charmeleon was quicker. It hit Exeggutor, knocking it out. The Pokemon fainted, and Rudy recalled it in its Heavy Ball.

"Well, Tracey you beat me. Here's your Orange Apple badge,", said Rudy, as he gave Tracey the red and orange badge. It was his fourth badge! He put it in his Orange League Badge Case, there were four spaces filled, just one more!

He recalled Charmeleon, and Rudy told him that the next gym was in Qamkuoad Island. And so, he headed off through the Trovita Desert, and when he got to sea again, he would call Nurse Joy and her Kirlia would teleport The Valencia over.

Chapter 22: Sheu

Tracey was still in the Trovita Desert. It was dusk, and it was very, very cold. Tracey put on a jacket and started walking faster. He couldn't wait to get out of the desert, but then again he was ready for adventure. He battled a few Cacnea and Cacturne for psychic in the anime too.

experience, but they were the only Pokemon in the Trovita Desert. It was a full moon that night, and Tracey got out his Orange League Badge Case. He saw that only one more space was needed. His Orange Apple Badge glistened in the moon-light.

Suddenly, he heard wings flapping above him. He looked up expecting a Noctowl, but it was a huge bird Pokemon. It was Articuno, the legendary bird. Tracey gasped, the magestic bird was beautiful. He suddenly started sketching it in his sketchbook, it was much closer to him than ever before. Suddenly, the bird landed.

Tracey screamed, he thought Articuno was going to kill him like he had killed Dannie, Meganium, Venusaur, and Sceptile, but it just landed and waited. And off of Articuno's back emerged the mummy creature. Tracey gasped, but the mummy creature started taking off his "costume".

Soon, the costume was on the ground and a boy, about nineteen to twenty years old emerged. He was muscular, you could tell he worked out a lot, with weights, and so on. He had black hair, black eyes, and his hair was spiked. He was wearing a blue top and blue pants.

"Who, who are you?", stuttered Tracey, almost falling face forward. His hand was on Charmeleon's Friend Ball for protection.

"I am Sheu.", said Sheu, his musculed arm waving at Tracey.

"What do you want here? You killed Nurse Joy on Lassen Island!", said Tracey.

"Yes, but I likewise saved your life. I sacrificed Joy for you. Joy died, and you came back to life. Your life is worth to this world much more than Joy's.", said Sheu.

Tracey was silent. Suddenly, behind Articuno came Cacnea and Caturne. The two cactus Pokemon glared at Sheu and Articuno. The Cacturne was about to use Needle Arm on Articuno, when Sheu got a Heavy Ball and a Net Ball out.

"How dare you touch the bird of the sea? Go, Steelix, and Scyther!", said Sheu, as the giant Steelix on Steel Island emerged, growling. A strong, muscular Scyther emerged too.

"Steelix, Iron Tail! Scyther, Wing Attack!", said Sheu, as Steelix's huge tail crashed on Cacnea, and Scyther's huge wing blew Cacturne away.

"Now that those two are done, we can continue.", said Sheu, as Tracey, amazed looked at the way Scyther and Steelix were trained. Excellently.

"How can I trust you, Sheu? Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres killed my brother!", said Tracey.

"But they weren't responsible for his death, Tracey.", said Sheu.

"What do you mean? Of course they were!", said Tracey.

"But no. They were possessed under a mysterious force that I cannot tell you about.", said Sheu, as Steelix and Scyther nodded. Sheu recalled his Pokemon, and sat on Articuno.

"Tracey, Team Rocket has captured Zapdos. It is part of them. Now, only Articuno and Moltres are left. We cannot let them take the birds or they will wreck havock across the world.", said Sheu, as Tracey looked on.

"Team Rocket has Zapdos...", said Tracey.

"Oh well, we will get him back. Now, pet Articuno. It is very gentle.", said Sheu.

Tracey petted Articuno. The giant bird nodded, it liked Tracey, and Tracey realized that the birds really were gentle, at least Articuno was.

"Does Articuno belong to you, Sheu?", asked Tracey.

"Oh no, Articuno is just traveling with me for protection. I have mysterious powers, Tracey. When it is safe again, Articuno will leave me, and I will become a trainer who competes for badges, like you.", said Sheu.

"Now, where are you headed?", said Sheu.

"Me? Well, I'm going to Quamkoud Island, to get my last badge.", said Tracey.

"Well, hop on then! We'll take you to the end of the desert. There's a Pokemon center there. You can get your boat back.", said Sheu.

"Who did you know about-", but Sheu ignored him and motioned for him to hop on.

Tracey was a bit hesetant, but he grapped onto Sheu's fit torso and they headed off, on Articuno to the end of the desert. Articuno was fast. It went up and down gracefully, and beautifully.

Soon, in a matter of minutes, Tracey was at the end of the Trovita Desert.

"Thank you, Sheu, I hope we meet again.", said Tracey, as Sheu shook his hand.

"Likewise, Tracey.", said he, as he sat onto Articuno's back and they headed off.

Tracey entered the Pokemon center. He had done many sketches of Articuno, as well as some sketches of Moltres and Zapdos that Sheu had done. His parents and Prof. Ivy would love these.

He went to the video phone, and called Nurse Joy on Trovita Island. Kirlia teleported The Valencia over, and soon, it was sitting on the dock.

Tracey sat in his ship, and entered the cabin. It was the same. He saw that there was one island between the Desert and Qamkoud Island, and that was Aveda Island.

Tracey, in his ship once more, set off for Aveda Island, about twenty miles south of The Trovita Desert.

Chapter 23: Moltres

Jessie looked once at James, and once at Lawrence.

"Lawrence, I guess I've never really thought of marriage before. Please give me a few weeks, I'll think about it, okay dear?", said Lawrence. He smiled, but then he saw Jessie blushing at James.

He threw the ring down in desperation.

"All right, you insignificant ****! Take the poor scrawny homeless man! I can give you the world, I can give you mansions in the most beautiful places! But no! You'd rather go live with that poorman!", said Lawrence, his face getting red.

"Lawrence, I never said that!", said Jessie.

"Damn you! You lier! YOU LIER!", said Lawrence, punching Jessie in the jaw, as she fell on the floor. He took out a revolver from his pocket, and aimed it at Jessie. She looked sad. Blood was dripping from her jaw, and she couldn't move.

Meowth and James looked on. James' eyes got red, and he knew he had to do something.

Just as Lawrence was about to shoot, "Cascoon String Shot!", said James. Cascoon came out from its Pokeball and used its strings and took the gun from Lawrence's hand. The bullet shot up from the gun and hit the Rocket Grunt. He fell on the ground, blood dripping from his heart. Within minutes, he was dead.

"Justin! The poor person!", said Lawrence, as James and Meowth helped Jessie up.

"YOU KILLED HIM! NOW YOU WILL ALL PAY!", said Lawrence, said he, as he picked the gun up and started shooting at Jessie, James, Meowth, and Cascoon.

"RUN!", said James, as they all ran toward the ocean. The Feebas Sub was parked outside, and Lawrence was still shooting. A bullet almost killed Cascoon, but Cascoon used a Harden Attack just in time.

They all went inside the Feebas Sub, and zoomed off towards Aveda Island, not knowing what the heck to expect.

Jessie and James sat on the couch, both panting. Meowth was making a Pina Colada and sitting on the armchair, while Cascoon and Silcoon were on the couch facing Jessie and James.

The sub zoomed off into the distance, while Lawrence remained on Electric Island. He threw the Rocket Grunt's lifeless body into the ocean, and slammed his fist into a tree, alerting two Electrike. The Electrike were babies, and they were at Lawrence's feet, they liked him.

"BE GONE! I have no time for little electric babies.", said Lawrence.

The Electrike wouldn't leave, they had taken a fancy to Lawrence! Lawrence shot the Electrike.

"Stupid wild Pokemon.", said Lawrence, kicking the two lifeless Pokemon into the ocean.

Suddenly, he heard a caw above him.

"What now, a Pidgey?", asked Lawrence sarcastically, but when he looked up he saw the exact opposite of Pidgey; Moltres.

"MOLTRES!?", screamed Lawrence, quickly pressing the button that would summon the giant flying machine.

Moltres flew in the air, it's flaming wings making it seem very becoming.

The fortress flew in from the air, and Lawrence entered it. He went up to the manuevering room, and starting aming Dark Orbs at Moltres. The black orbs started hitting the Moltres, who saw the fortress. Lawrence had lost this bird once, he wasn't gonna lose it again.

Below the fortress, in which Lawrence the III had nicknamed the Bastille, sat Zapdos. It looked up in vain. It wanted to get out.

Moltres used a Flamethrower Attack, and while the attack surrounded the fortress, Lawrence chuckled.

"You greenhorn! I've made this fortress fireproof!", said Lawrence, as Moltres' energy was lost.

Three more orbs, and Moltres was captured, and thrown in the Bastille.

Moltres dropped through, and was in the cage next to Zapdos. Now, Team Rocket had Zapdos and Moltres, there was just one more bird left.

"Now, my dear Articuno, we will come for you!", said Lawrence, landing the fortress and heading for Aveda Island, which is where Jessie, James, and Tracey were heading too. A showdown? Of course...

Just a quick note, everyone, this chapter is gonna seem a bit boring, but it does have some background info on Dannie's past, so please bear with me. Chapters 25 and 26 you will all love, I assure you guys.


Chapter 24: The Late Dannie Sketchit

It was a bright sunny day in Valencia Island. The great shopping mall, the Ventian, was brimming with tropical music. There was a battle going on in the square. Drew and Andrea Sketchit sat by the fountain, eating some salmon. Smeargle was sitting by Miltank, Miltank blushing at the sight of Smeargle.

"Wow, look at that battle, it looks pretty heated up.", said Andrea, while finishing her salmon.

"I don't know who that trainer is, but isn't the old man Ned Wallingrum? That great Pokemon watcher?", asked Drew.

"Yes, it is!", said Andrea.

"All right Heracross, start off with your Horn Attack!", said a rookie trainer, with a green cap on backwards. He was scranwy, nothing but skin and bones. He had a brown shirt and blue long pants.

Heracross started aiming its horn attacks toward the opponent.

Ned Wallingrum stood. His safari clothes were ironed, and his fist was clenched. His pal Quilava stood in front of him, looking at Heracross. Heracross aimed its horn straight for Quilava, but Ned had a strategy.

"Quilava, jump onto its back!", said Ned, quickly.

Quilava jumped onto Heracross' back, and aimed a Fire Spin straight at Heracross. The bug was caught in the flames, as Quilava jumped off, and it fainted.

The boy recalled his Heracross and ran off.

"Good job, Quilava!", said Ned, petting Quilava on the back, and is embraced its trainer.

"Pardon me sir, but are you Ned Wallingrum, the Pokemon watcher?", asked Drew.

"Yes, and are you Drew Sketchit, the Pokemon art historian?", said Ned, as Quilava walked over to Smeargle and Miltank and started talking to them.

"Of course! Nice to meet you!", said Drew shaking hands with Ned, Andrea introduced herself and shook Ned's hand.

"I've met your boy, he is a very good boy.", said Ned, as he and Drew and Andrea entered their estate.

"Oh yes, Tracey is a very good boy.", said Andrea.

"Tracey is a God-send, he's such a responsible boy, we would never have sent him on a journey if he was irresponsible.", said Drew.

"Well, so far he has four badges, and last time he called me, he had Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon. I think he's en-route to Aveda Island now.", said Ned.

Quilava, Smeargle, and Miltank were playing outside.

"Did you have another boy? Tracey always talks about him.", said Ned.

Andrea ran up to a room upstairs and bought a picture of the four of them.

"This is our family five years ago. That's me, Drew, Smeargle and Miltank. And that's Tracey. The boy to his left is Dannie Sketchit.", said Andrea, as Drew looked.

"Was he a good boy?", asked Ned, curious.

"Dannie was a very good boy. I remember how he started his journey. He started in the Indigo League. He recieved a Bulbasaur from Prof. Oak and lost the league. He just trained his Bulbasaur however, he never caught anything else.", said Drew.

"By the time he registered for the Hoenn League, he had a Venusaur. After he lost the Hoenn and Johto League, he had Venusaur, Sceptile, and Meganium.", said Andrea.

"Oh, he didn't seem like a very good trainer.", said Ned, coughing.

"Oh, but he was, Mr. Wallingrum! He was a very good trainer, he loved his Pokemon so very much. He would always talk to them in a nice way, and he even gave his little brother Tracey a blue sketchbook, which he has with him now.", said Andrea.

"What was his attitude towards Tracey?", asked Ned.

"Oh, the two were never apart. Wherever Dannie went, Tracey went. The two always cooperated. The reason Tracey doesn't even need a Pokedex on his journey is because he already knows everything about them from what Dannie has taught him.", said Andrea.

"Now, back to training. A year passed. Dannie trained Venusaur, Meganium, and Sceptile to perfection. He registered in the Orange League, and he won the league! Then, he went to the ultimate league, the Aloe Vera Islands. He won with flying colors, and only by catching his three Pokemon.", said Drew, as Andrea again got two things from a room upstairs.

"These are the trophies that Dannie won, the Aloe Vera Trophy and the Orange League Trophy.", said Andrea.

"So far, our son Dannie is the only person to win the Aloe Vera League.", said Drew.

Andrea broke out in tears. Drew comforted her, as Mr. Wallingrum also got teary-eyed.

"Oh well, no use crying. We still have Tracey.", said Andrea, smiling a fake grin.

They stayed for a while there. The trio looked at an album of the Sketchit children, and soon Ned was at the door, as Andrea and Drew bid him farewell.

"When you see Tracey again, tell him to call us, okay?", pleaded Drew and Andrea, Smeargle and Miltank at their side, Quilava was at Ned's side.

"Of course, he should be at Aveda Island by now. I'm going there to study some Pokemon, so if I make it there fast, I should be there at the same time he gets there!", said Ned.

The sun set on Valencia Island, and Drew and Andrea waved goodbye to Ned.

Chapter 25: Aveda Island

It was noon as Tracey sped on to Aveda Island on his boat, The Valencia. His Pokemon were out of their Balls. Horsea was out of his Dive Ball, out on the railing, looking out to sea. Voltorb was rolling out on deck, smiling as he rolled out on the wooden plank. Charmeleon was flexing his muscles near Tracey.
Tracey was sitting on a big white chair out on deck. He was for once out of his cabin, on deck. On deck there were two chairs, and in between them was a small glass table, with an umbrella over it to shade them from the sun or rain. Tracey was sitting on the right chair, sketching.
Soon, he saw Aveda Island, and got excited.

"All right, everyone, Aveda Island is here! We're back on land!", said Tracey, as Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon got very excited that they were finally back on land.

Soon, they parked in the boat parking. Tracey moored his boat and got out of the boat with his Pokemon by his side. Horsea and Voltorb were on his shoulders, and Charmeleon was by his side.

Aveda Island was small, but it was densely wooded, kind of like Danbun Island or Electric Island. Suddenly, as Tracey walked he heard two girls arguing. Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon looked on too. As Tracey squinted, he saw that it was May and Misty, his old rivals.

"I still say that Danny was hotter than Joey! Danny has no muscles, Joey is so hot!", said May, wearing her usual red outfit. At her side was her starter, Azurill. It was bouncing up and down happily. Walking beside her was her Combusken, it looked much harder to beat, her Torchic had obviously evolved into this Combusken. Walking next to Combusken was a small yellow sheep with a bell chained to his neck, it was a Mareep. May must have caught this somewhere, it was kind of cute.

"Both Danny and Joey are gym leaders, and they're both ugly.", said Misty, and she was wearing her regular outfit too. Her Poliwag walked beside her, it looked much stronger as well. Sunkern was on her shoulder, it looked stronger too. She also caught a cute baby Pichu, it walked near Misty, she seemed to fancy it a lot. Pichu was much cuter than May's Mareep.

"Hi May, Hi Misty!", said Tracey, as he and his Pokemon ran towards them.

"Hi Tracey!", said May, as she and her Pokemon ran.

"Hello, Tracey.", said Misty, blushing.

"Wow, look at your Pokemon, Trace; Horsea and Voltorb look cool, and you have a Charmeleon that must have evolved from a Charmander! How cool!", said May, as Misty kept quiet.

"I have four badges.", said Tracey, showing off his badge collection.

"Well, so do we!", said Misty, as she and May showed off their Orange League Badge Cases.

"Tracey! Tracey!", called a Southern Voice from behind them. May and Misty turned back, as Tracey's face showed a grin.

"Hi Mr. Wallingrum!", said Tracey, as Ned Wallingrum ran towards Tracey. He wore his regular Safari clothes, as well as sunglasses. His faithful Quilava ran by his side.

Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon ran to Quilava and started talking, and soon Sunkern, Pichu, Mareep, Azurill, and Combusken joined the group. Poliwag stayed with Misty.

"Mr. Wallingrum, these are some friends of mine, May and Misty. May and Misty, this is Mr. Ned Wallingrum, he's a Pokemon watcher.", said Tracey.

"How do you do.", said May, Misty and Ned together.

"Tracey, I'm studying some wild Pokemon here, but your parents said to call them, they miss you.", said Ned.

"Okay, I'll call them when I get en route to Qamkouad Island. Thanks, Ned!", said Tracey. Suddenly, he heard a caw above him. It was Articuno! And flying with him was Sheu!

"Sheu! Hi!", said Tracey.

"Tracey! It's Articuno! Quick, on the boat!", said Ned, as May and Misty screamed like a pair of valley girls.

"No, no, it's okay! Sheu is a friend of mine!", said Tracey, as he petted the bird Articuno and shook Sheu's hand.

"Hi Sheu! This is Mr. Ned Wallingrum, a Pokemon Watcher, and some friends of mine, May and Misty. This is Sheu, a good friend of mine. And Articuno is gentle.", said Tracey, as they all shook hands.

"Tracey, bad news. Team Rocket now has both Zapdos and Moltres!!", said Sheu, as Tracey gasped.

Meanwhile...

Jessie, James, and Meowth sat in the Feebas Sub.

"That was close, Lawrence almost killed me!", said Jessie, crying.

"Don't cry dearest, we won't see that thing again.", said James, comforting her.

Meowth sat drinking his own Pina Colada.

Silcoon and Cascoon looked sick, they didn't look too good.

"What's wrong, Silcoon?", said Jessie, worried about her Silcoon. Suddenly, Silcoon glowed white. It grew wings and an antenna. It stopped glowing, and became a Beautifly! It was colorful, and beautiful. Jessie forgot about her injuries and cried in joy!

"BEAUTIFLY! YOU'RE SO BEAUTIFUL!", said Jessie, as Beautifly fluttered across the room and rested on Jessie's shoulder.

James' Cascoon soon did the same. It glowed white and grew wings. It grew two small horns on its head, and stopped glowing. It was a Dustox! It was colored dark colors. James squealed in joy too.

"LOOK AT DUSTOX! IT'S SO STRONG AND NICE AND GREAT!", said James, as Dustox flew across the room and rested on James' shoulder.

"Now, youse two can battle! Dustox and Beautifly can learn a lot of moves!", said Meowth, sipping up the rest of his Pina Colada, and the sub sped on towards Aveda Island.

Meanwhile...

Tracey and Sheu talked a while. Sheu told Ned, May, and Misty about the wrongdoings of Team Rocket and about Articuno. Suddenly, there was a voice behind Tracey and the group.

"Where you talking about us? Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light!", said Jessie.

"I'm James, she's Jessie, and this is Meowth!", said James.

"Meowth, that's right!", said Meowth, drinking his Colada.

"Not you nitwits again!", said Tracey.

"What do you ninkimpoops want here!?", said Ned.

"You must be the evil Team Rocket! Give back Moltres and Zapdos!", said Sheu.

"What a hair style!", said May and Misty together, laughing.

"Fine, laugh! My Silcoon evolved into Beautifly!", said Jessie, as Beautifly flutterered. Tracey looked on, eyes wide. "And I have a Dustox!", said James, as Dustox flew near him.

Tracey looked even more scared.

"If you want Zapdos and Moltres, you have to go through me first.", said a voice behind them. As they looked back, Lawrence stood on top of his massive fortress, the cries of Zapdos and Moltres behind heard from The Bastille.

"Lawrence!", said Jessie.

"Now, we will get Articuno, and then Jessie, you will be mine!", said Lawrence, laughing an evil laugh.

Anyway, it was a good chapter. Team Rocket's Pokemon evolved, so now they're at least a bit of a challenge for Tracey.

Chapter 26: Aveda Island II

Lawrence the III stood on top of his massive fortress, grinning an evil grin. Ned stood back with May and Misty, and Sheu and Tracey stood in front of Articuno. Jessie and James stood too, with Beautifly, Dustox, and Meowth drinking a Pina Colada in front of them.

"You evil man, how can you disturb the Legendary Birds! You will cause chaos throughout the world if you do this!", said Sheu.

"Oh will I, then we will just try it out!", said Lawrence laughing, and released three orbs at Articuno.

"Tracey, out of the way!", said Sheu, as he jumped up on Articuno's back. The first orb came flying up at them, but Articuno dodged it. The second orb was similarly dodged, but Articuno kept panting, it was out of breath.

The third orb was soon flying towards them. Articuno slowed down as the orb neared them.

"Articuno, save yourself, go.", said Sheu.

"Cuunoo..." purred Articuno, pushing Sheu off to save him.

"AAAHHHHHHHHHH", screamed Sheu, as he was going to thump against the ground.

"Sheu!!", screamed Tracey, but Misty was faster.

"Poliwag Safeguard!", said Misty, as Poliwag's whirls started spinning, and it covered a veil over its head, saving Sheu.

Without even thaking Misty, Sheu screamed to Articuno, "WATCH OUT!".

"Articuno, I've gone too far to stop now! Your end has come!", said Lawrence, throwing his final orb, and catching the Articuno. The bird was thrown in the bastille, locked up.

"Well well well, what have we here! Little brats who can't mind their own business.", said Lawrence, aiming a gun particularly at Sheu.

Sheu stepped forward. "The three birds don't belong to me, or you. They don't belong to anyone. And you can never train them, you old fat gay pig!", said Sheu.

Jessie and James looked on, as Lawrence's grin turned into a red fury of terror.

"I am a gay pig? You will be a pig soon when you reincarnate!", said Lawrence, as he fired a bullet.

"SHEU!", said Tracey, as he tacked Sheu to the ground, narrowly saving him from the bullet.

"Now, I have all three of the birds!", said Lawrence, laughing.

"Horsea, Twister, Voltorb, Thunderbolt, Charmeleon Flame Blast! On the Bastille!", said Tracey, as the Pokemon fired the attacks.

"Azurill, Bubblebeam! Combusken, Flame Blast! Mareep, Thunderbolt!", said May, as the Pokemon fired their signature attacks.

The Bastille seemed to be getting weakened.

"Poliwag, Psychic! Sunkern, Giga Drain! Pichu, Thunderbolt!", said Misty, as her strong Pokemon weakened the Bastille.

"Beautifly, Dustox, Silver Wind!", said Jessie and James, as their new bug Pokemon fired an intense silver wind, almost blasting the fortress.

"Quilava, use Flamethrower!", said Ned, while Sheu got two Heavy Balls ready.

"As for the finishing touches! Sneasel, my strongest! And Tyranitar! USE HYPER BEAM!", said Sheu, as his Sneasel emerged from their Balls.

The well trained black Sneasel sat by its trainer. It was shiny, and its claws were sharp. Tyranitar looked well trained as well, and very muscular.

They fired the attack, and the Bastille blasted. Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos flew out unharmed.

"THAT'S IT! YOU ARE MINE NO MATTER WHAT!", screamed Lawrence, but suddenly, the remainder of the fortress blew up in flames. Soon, ashes were left after Horsea, Azurill, and Poliwag fired the water attacks. Lawrence the III was killed.

"Lawrence is gone...", said Jessie, as James comforted her.

It was sunset on Aveda Island. May and Misty had already headed off for Qamkouad Island, they wanted to win the badge. Team Rocket had also headed off in their Feebas Sub, so Ned, Sheu, and Tracey were left.

"So, Sheu, what are you gonna do now?", said Tracey, petting Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres.

"I'm gonna go to the Aloe Vera Islands, and collect badges.", said Sheu.

"Bye, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres. You three are now free to go wherever you'd like.", said Sheu, as he petted them. The now gentle birds embraced Sheu. Soon, they all flew off, free again, towards the sunset.

Sheu sighed, and shook hands with Tracey.

"By the way, if you want to know my Pokemon, I have Sneasel, Scyther, Steelix, Tyranitar, Metagross, and Dragonite.", said Sheu.

"COOL!", said Tracey, as Ned looked on.

"GO SCYTHER!", said Sheu, as he got on Scyther and they flew towards Qamkouad Island.

"Well, Tracey, Qamkouad Island is about twenty miles south of here. The gym isn't a pushover.", said Ned, as Tracey waved goodbye. He and Quilava got on their ship, and Tracey got on his.

He sped off towards Qamkouad Island.

Anyway, wheefun! Unfortunately, I have dropped Rose. Too much of a tough storyline to handle. I have the ideas, but getting it onto the page...erm...lets just say no.

Anyway, I might start another fic later. Who knows? Meh.

I loved this chapter. Kind of like the dramatic climax to a movie when everything is all coming together and the eerie music plays. Dun, dun dun ddaa ddaa dun da dad ad daaaa! You know that music, right? Yeah. Awesome!

Maybe Tracey and Sheu will battle in the Aloe Verda league? Charizard vs. Tyranitar, Kingdra vs. Dragonite, lol. Fun fun fun!

Chapter 27: The Last Battle

Tracey was on his boat, The Valencia, heading for Qamkouad Island. Inside, he had Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon out of their balls, and was on the video phone with his parents on Valencia Island.
Drew, Andrea, Proffesor Ivy, Wailmer, Smeargle, and Miltank were on the other line.
"Well, guys, I gotta go, Qamkouad Island is right around the corner, I'll see you guys later.", said Tracey.
"I love you dear, good luck!", said Andrea, as they both hung up at the same time.

Tracey recalled his Pokemon and exited the cabin. He saw Qamkouad Island in front of him, and it smelled of fresh flowers and lush gardens. He parked in the Boat Parking which was full, and got out of the ship.
Qamkouad Island was pretty populated. Gardens and flowers filled the city, pollen was in the air, and many flowers that no one would ever dream of were situated in the area. Tracey took a puff off the sweet air and smiled, he hadn't smelled this many flowers ever!

Tracey soon found the gym. It wasn't a building like the Tangelo or Mikan Island gyms, it was more of an outdoor garden, situated outside like the Navel and Trovita gyms. It was a lush garden, many flowers and dandelions included. A beautiful young lady stood in the middle of the grassy arena.

"How can I help ya?", said the girl in a kind voice.

"Oh, I'm Tracey Sketchit, and I'm lookin' for a gym battle...", said Tracey, as the girl eyed him.

"Well, I'm Laura, and I'm the final gym leader of the Orange Islands, you're gonna have some trouble with me.", said Laura.

Tracey got on one side of the arena, and Laura on the opposite side. Laura announced that it was a three on three battle.

"Go, Jumpluff!", said Laura, as she through a Premier Ball out, and a small violet Pokemon came out, with a cotton ball on its head.

Tracey thought. He had an idea. Fire types were great against grass types, so he threw his Friend Ball out, and Charmeleon came out, flexing its muscles.

"Jumpluff, start off with Razor Leaf!", said Laura, as Jumpluff fired some green leaves at Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, use your Ember!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon fired an Ember attack at Jumpluff's leaves, and the leaves were burnt; they fell on the ground.

"Jumpluff, Leech Seed! This attack takes away some of Charmeleon's energy every single turn, even if Jumpluff faints.", said Laura.

Charmeleon was hit by the seeds, and some of its energy went to Jumpluff.

"Now, use Mega Drain, followed by Solarbeam!", screamed Laura, as Jumpluff's cotton glowed green, and it took in some of Charmeleon's energy. It looked huge now compared to Charmeleon. Then, it started taking in more energy from the sun.

"Charmeleon, Flame Wheel!", screamed Tracey, as Charmeleon formed a red wheel and hit Jumpluff, knocking it out.

"Jumpluff, return.", said Laura, recalling her special Jumpluff, and getting a Luxury Ball out, throwing it out. It took the shape of a Bellosom.

"Charmeleon, stay out for this. This should be easy!", said Tracey, grinning from ear to ear.

"Bellossom, show off! Use Petal Dance!", said Laura, as Bellossom started doing a Hawian like dance for Charmeleon; who blushed.

"Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon set Bellossom on fire; as it ran around and around in flames.

"Ha Ha Ha; Looks like Bellossom's really too hot to handle!", said Tracey.

"Don't be funny, Bellossom, shake it up and use Solarbeam!", said Laura, as Bellossom jumped up in the air and started getting ready to fire the massive grass attack.

"Charmeleon, use up a lot of your energy, use FLAME BLAST!", said Tracey, but Laura stopped him.

"Leech Seed is still in effect! Bellossom just absorbed the Flame Blast!", said Laura, as Bellossom fired the ultra Solarbeam, hitting Charmeleon, which was now very weak.

"Now, use Vine Whip!", said Laura, as Bellossom fired two whips at Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, grab on!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon grabbed onto Bellossom's vine. "Bellossom, try to shake it off!", said Laura, but soon Charmeleon fired a Fire Blast at Bellossom's vine, which went through the vine and burned Bellossom to a crisp.

"Great job Charmeleon!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon flexed its muscles. It had gained so much experience in this battle alone.

"Bellossom return. This Pokemon I am about to use will be much stronger than you have ever seen. I summon Sceptile!", said Laura, getting out a Friend Ball, and sending Sceptile out. It flexed its muscles and growled.

"My late brother Dannie had a Sceptile, I know all about its attacks.", said Tracey.

"Well, my Sceptile knows grass, dark, and psychic attacks.", said Laura.

"Charmeleon, start off with Flamethrower!", said Tracey, as the tired Charmeleon fired yet another flame attack, but Sceptile jumped out of the way.

"Sceptile, use Faint Attack!", said Laura, as Sceptile dissapeared. Charmeleon looked around, and was hit by Sceptile from behind.

Sceptile stood right in front of Charmeleon, as its energy was sucked in by Leech Seed, Tracey ordered it to use Flamethrower, as Sceptile was in front of it.

"Sceptile, Leaf Blade!", said Laura, as Sceptile jumped above Charmeleon, and cut it with its sharp leaf blades. Charmeleon was sucked by Leech Seed once again, its energy running out.

"Sceptile, use Solarbeam!", screamed Laura, as Sceptile started taking in energy from the sun.

As Charmeleon lay down, it saw a massive bird above them. Soon, Sceptile, Laura, and Tracey saw it as well. It was red, and gold, and it was shiny. It was a fire type, though not Moltres. Tracey had read about this legendary bird; it was Ho-Oh.

Laura gasped, as Ho-Oh grew red, soon Charmeleon was soon wrapped in the same aura. Ho-Oh seemed to be transporting energy to Charmeleon, but Ho-Oh soon flew off.

Charmeleon then fired a massive fire attack, Sceptile tried to dodge, but it was getting hit constantly by the attack known as Sacred Fire. Soon, Sceptile fell, fainted.

"I.. I.. DID IT! I GOT ALL FIVE ORANGE BADGES! HO-OH HELPED US CHARMELEON! HE HELPED US!", screamed Tracey, giving Charmeleon a high-five.

"You defeated me, Tracey. Here you go, the fifth and final badge, the Garden badge.", said Laura, as she recalled Sceptile, and gave Tracey the green circle badge. Tracey put it in his Orange League badge case in the final space, he had all five Orange League badges!

He soon left Qamkouad Island. Laura told him that the Orange League competition known as The Orange League met on Pummelo Island, and that Pummelo was thirty miles south. Tracey headed off, ready to challenge the Orange League.

Yah, now Tracy has all his badges, and Charmeleon learneed Sacred Fire. The only real disapointment was that Tracy only used one Pokemon, when he could have used 3, but I guess that's okay, since Charmeleon wouldn't have learned Sacred Fire if not for that fact... oh well. Good chapter. I can't wait for the Orange League Tournament.

Chapter 28: The Trainer of the Night

After getting five badges in the Orange Islands, Tracey is nearing Pummelo Island, where he will try to win the Orange Cup. As he sailed in his boat, he saw the skyline of Pummelo Island. Soon, Horsea came out, and jumped onto the railing. It looked much more experienced than Voltorb. Soon Voltorb started rolling around on deck in joy, and Charmeleon came out as well, and started talking to Voltorb.
Soon, Tracey parked his boat in the Boat Parking of Pummelo Island. It was very populated, and Tracey finally found a parking. He and his Pokemon started walking on Pummelo Island. It was very populated, well, the Orange League did meet here after all, so it was kind of gonna be more crowded than any island he'd ever seen before.
Tracey wanted to know where he coudl register for the Orange League Preliminary Match, so he went up to a boy dressed in all black.

"Um, excuse me, can you tell me where to register for the league?", asked Tracey, enthusiastically.

"I am the trainer of the night! Do not be scared, it is still light!", said this guy, and went into a karate stance. Tracey sweatdropped.

As he walked away from the wierd individual, he heard two voices behind him, that he recognized. It was May and Misty, his two rivals from Valencia Island.

"I still say Joey's hotter.", said May. She had on her regular red clothing, and next to her walked a Marill. Her starter Azurill had finally evolved! Marill was very happy, and loved its new feet. Combusken was walking next to her, looking more stronger than ever. Mareep looked fluffy, and its bell was ringing as it walked.

"No, Danny is. That guy was the hottest of the hot.", said Misty. She was wearing her singature clothing, and looked more vibrant than ever. Her Poliwag had evolved! It was now a Poliwhirl, and it looked very strong. It was very muscular as well. Sunkern was happy in Misty's arms, as was Pichu, who looked happy.

Tracey ran over to them. "Hi May, hi Misty!", said Tracey, the Pokemon got acquainted. Poliwhirl was not anti-social any more, it shook hands with all the Pokemon. Horsea was very happy, it laughed while talking to Mareep and Pichu.

"So, I hope we battle each other during this little fiasco!", said May, as Misty, blushing at the sight of Tracey, nodded.

"TRACEY! TRACEY!", said voices behind the trio.

Andrea, Drew, and Professor Ivy ran towards them, Smeargle, Miltank, and Wailmer were behind them.

Tracey hugged his parents and shook hands with Professor Ivy.

"I'm so proud of you my dear! You got your badges, just like Danny!", said Andrea, hugging Tracey more.

"Good luck son!", said the overly quiet Drew.

"Tracey, I'm also proud of you. All of you!", said Alicia Ivy, not forgetting May and Misty.

Soon, a voice calling them was heard from behind. It was Ned! Tracey grinned and ran over to Ned, shaking his hand. Andrea, Alicia, and Drew also noticed, and May and Misty remembered him from their bout on Aveda Island. Ned looked older, as did Quilava, who was smiling.

"Congratulations, Tracey!", said Ned, smiling, and shaking hands with Tracey.

"Thanks, Mr. Wallingrum, I'll need it!", said Tracey, smiling.

Soon, after May and Misty had registed, Tracey went up to Nurse Joy and Chansey.

"Name, please?", said Joy, as Tracey answered. She entered it in the computer and also checked Tracey's Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmeleon. She then gave him a card and told him that his next match would be at 8:00 PM, and if he won the prelimiaries, he would be able to contine on in the league.

"Um, Nurse Joy, who is my opponent gonna be?", asked Tracey, excited about his match.

"It's gonna be a boy named Dustin. By the way, the matches are 1 on 1", answered Joy, and gave Tracey the key to his room at the Pummelo Hotel.

Tracey walked a bit on Pummelo Island. His match was tonight, so he entered his room, 8C. He had quite the lavish room. Upon entering, there was a bathroom on his right, and continuing on was a small living area, two couches and an armchair, with a tv and a computer in the room. In the bedroom, there was a video phone and a radio, and also a bed with a television. There was also a map of the Orange Islands and likewise a Pokeball holder.

Tracey watched TV for a bit until 8:00 PM, and he went to the Colisseum, where he was ready to battle in the league prelimiaries. He realized that if he lost, he would be out of the league, but if he won, he could proceed.

"Welcome to the Orange League Preliminaries! Today, May and Misty both won their matches, let's see who will win, Tracey, or Dustin! Tracey walked into the arena, waving at fans, he looked and saw his parents and rivals up in the arena. May and Misty had both won, he hoped he would win too. Suddenly, he looked at his opponent... Dustin must be the "Trainer of the Night" that Tracey saw earlier today!

"Well, if it isn't the little kid! Or should I say the fatso!", said Dustin, in his black clothing.

"Cut it out, inchworm.", said Tracey.

After the bickering, the referee called for the battle to begin. Tracey's hardest experience was about to start.

Chapter 29: The Trainer of the Night II

Tracey stood in the arena in front of his opponent, Dustin. The preliminary match was about to begin, whoever one would be able to proceed in the tournament. Drew, Andrea, Alicia, May, Misty, and Ned sat in the stands, rooting Tracey on.
Dustin, or the trainer of the night, stood in his black clothing. His brow was sweaty, but he wouldn't show Tracey that he was afraid of not being victorious. Nonetheless, he got a Poke-ball from his waist and hurled it to the arena.

"Go, Houndour!", said Dustin, throwing the Pokeball out. A pretty big dog Pokemon came out, snarling. Its coat was very clean, and it looked trained.

Tracey sighed a sigh of relief. Houndour was a dark/fire type Pokemon, so using Voltorb or Charmeleon would not be neccessary. He would use his starter, Horsea. It may be his weakest, but he had faith in it.

"Go, Horsea!", said Tracey, throwing out the familiar Dive Ball. Horsea came out, smiling. Its red eyes made Houndour blush.

"Houndour, start off with your Flamethrower!", said Dustin, as Houndour fired a moderate fire attack right at Horsea.

"Horsea, we've worked on this so much! Use Water Gun!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a water attack from its snout, washing out the flames completely.

"Horsea, fire another Water Gun!", commanded Tracey, but Dustin was quicker. "Use Faint Attack!", said Dustin, as Houndour quickly evaded the attack and teleported behind Horsea. Horsea tried looking around, but Houndour hit Horsea from behind, and Horsea hit the wall.

"Horsea, you okay?", asked Tracey. He could tell that Horsea was hurt, but nothing it couldn't handle.

"We won this! Houndour, use Flame Blast!", said Dustin, as Houndour fired a huge fire attack from its mouth.

"Horsea, you use your Dragon Rage!", said Tracey, as Horsea fired a red beam from its snout. The attacks collided, and the Fire Blast hit Horsea. It was charred.

"Heh, just because Horsea's water doesn't mean it can't be charred!", laughed Dustin, as Tracey growled.

"Horsea, Water Pulse!", ordered Tracey, as Horsea glowed blue. It fired a huge water attack from its snout, htting Houndour. It was weak.

Suddenly, night fell. The moon was gorgeous, it was a full moon tonight. Horsea and Tracey were distracted, and Dustin and Houndour looked at each other.

"HOUNDOUR, MOONLIGHT!", screamed Dustin, as Horsea waited for the attack. Houndour seemed to be storing energy from the moon. Then, its mouth opened, and it fired a white fire attack, which hit Horsea. The Pokemon was thrown on the ground, almost unable to battle.

"Could this be the end?", asked May.

"I hope you beat em.", murmured Misty, with her fingers crossed.

"Horsea, are you okay?", asked Tracey, as Horsea struggled to get up.

"We won this, Houndour, MOONLIGHT!", screamed Dustin, as Houndour started storing energy again.

Suddenly, Horsea got up. It said its name and started glowing white. It started getting a bit bigger in size and stopped glowing. It was still blue in color, but instead of red eyes, it had narrower black eyes. It now had spikes along its head, and its small fins were now sharp. It seemed kind, and smiled.

"Sea Sea", it said.

"My Horsea just evolved into SEADRA!", said Tracey, happily! He hugged Seadra, who really seemed to like Tracey even more than it used to be when it was a Horsea.

Dustin and Houndour looked scared.

"Wow, Horsea evolved!", said Misty, as the rest of the crowd looked on.

"Houndour, Moonlight!", said Dustin, but it was too late.

"Seadra, Dragon Beam!", said Tracey, as Seadra's snout grew white. It fired small colorful beams at Houndour, and the Pokemon fell.

"DUSTIN AND HOUNDOUR LOST! TRACEY AND SEADRA ARE THE WINNER!", cried the announcer, as Tracey jumped up and down in joy. Dustin recalled Houndour and started crying and running off the arena.

"Seadra, we did it!", said Tracey, embracing Seadra. Almost without warning, Voltorb and Charmeleon came out of their balls. Voltorb and Charmeleon were surprised with Seadra, but they soon started talking like nothing had changed. Despite its appearence, Seadra was very nice.

"Tracey, you rocked!", said Andrea, Drew, and Alicia, as Ned shook his hand. May congratulated him, and Misty blushing, just said "Congrats.".

Now, Jessie, James, Meowth, who was drinking a Pina-Colada, and also Beautifly and Dustox were disguised as hot-dog sellers.

"The twerp seems to be doing great.", said Jessie.

Now, as Tracey left the arena, he, May, and Misty had all won the prelimiaries. The next match, was for the semi-finals.

Chapter 30: May Versus Misty

Tracey sat in his room. He had won his preliminary match yesterday, and next up were the semi-finals. It was already dusk, and the sun was setting behind the hills. Pummelo Island was partying, it was a Saturday night, but Tracey was in his room. He had taken a few trips to the Boat Parking today and took some books out from his ship, and he was finishing Ned's book up.
As the sun set, Tracey finished the book and opened the French doors and came out to the balcony, which was facing Pummelo's main square. It was a pity he would only be in this room for a few more days, but he was happy he had his own ship, so he should be lucky for that.
Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon were watching Pokemon inside. Despite Seadra's mean appearence, he seemed the nicest of the lot. But Charmeleon was still the strongest.

Tracey looked down at Pummelo's main square. He saw a restaurant, and he saw a table where May, Andrea, Alicia, Drew, and Ned were eating dinner. Misty was not with them. He told his Pokemon that he would be right back, and he went to look for Misty.
She and May shared a room, which was right next to Tracey's. He knocked the door twice, and checked to see if it was locked. It was unlocked, so he entered it. Misty was no where in the living room, and then he went into the bedroom, where there were two beds. Tracey knocked twice, and then entered. Misty was standing naked right by her bed! Tracey's cheeks turned red and he closed the door right after Misty screamed.
Tracey ran into the living room, more humiliated than ever. Soon, Misty came out of the bedroom, her skin red. She was wearing her usual clothing, and blushing at the same time. "Tracey Sketchit, How Dare...", but before Misty could finish, Andrea and the rest of the group entered the room, and Misty finished it by joking "How Dare you win", to cover it up.

"Tracey, do you know something? My Smeargle learned Teleport! It can teleport things and even us!", said Drew, as Smeargle teleported the phone from the table to the bed and back.

Tracey nodded a sigh of relief.

"Well, we're gonna go to a cocktail bar,", said Prof. Ivy, as she, Andrea, Drew, and Ned left to go to a bar, leaving only May and Misty and a very embaressed Tracey.

"You guys look like flustered, what was going on in here?", said May, who was wearing her usual clothing.

"Oh May, stop being so provokative! Nothing was going on!", said Misty as Tracey nodded.

"Anyway, I was going to go down there and check our opponents for tommorow's semi-finals, care to join me?", asked Misty, as she, May, and a relieved Tracey headed down. On the way, he recalled his Pokemon and headed down to the lobby of the hotel, which is where you could check your opponents for the matches.

Nurse Joy and Chansey were at the desk, and Tracey asked to see his opponent.

"Well, Kurt is your oppoenent for the semi-finals. His info is available on the internet.", said Joy, as a picture of an Austrian child appeared next to Tracey's.

"Like, what about me?", asked May, as Joy entered another code in. She then gasped.

"May... your opponent... is MISTY!", cried Joy, as May and Misty both looked at each other, eyes enlarged. May's cheery picture appeared next to Misty's cheery one.

Tracey laughed, but May and Misty were almost about to cry.

Misty hugged May and said, "Let this not jepordize our friendship!", as May nodded.


The Next Day

The arena was a grass and water field, the land was grass, and the other part was water. Tracey, Ned, Alicia, Drew, and Andrea were in the stands as May faced Misty.

"HERE IT IS! MAY VERSUS MISTY IN THE SEMI-FINAL MATCH! THIS WILL BE A TWO-ON-TWO MATCH, WHOEVER FINISHES THIS GOES ON TO THE FINALS!", said the announcer, as May and Misty faced each other, both smiling.

"LET THE MATCH BEGIN!", cried the announcer...

Chapter 31: May Versus Misty II

"Go, Pichu!", cried Misty, as she stepped up and threw a Pink Love Ball onto the grassy arena. The ball opened and a small yellow Pokemon came out, a Pichu. It smiled a little and danced around, even attempting to swim in the water which was in the middle of the arena.

"Misty, I'll show you that size does matter! Go, Combusken!", said May, as she threw a Love Ball out onto the arena. A tough looking Combusken came out, flexing its muscles and intimidating Pichu.

"Damn It, I thought she would use Marill or Mareep!", said Misty, stomping her foot down on the grass.

"Pichu, start off with your Thundershock!", cried Misty, as Pichu fired an electric attack from its pink cheeks. The attack hit Combusken. The fire Pokemon was hurt just a little bit but jumped up to get away from the attack. It hardly was hurt. Both Misty and Pichu were surprised.

"Heh, now Combusken, use a Stomp!", said May, as the huge Combusken started stomping its foot all over the arena, trying to get Pichu. Pichu, fast but immature, tried running away from Combusken's foot, but soon its tail was caught under Combusken's foot, and Pichu started crying.

"Oh, Pichu, please don't cry...", said Misty, as Combusken and May looked on, having mercy for the small baby Pokemon.

"Combusken, use Flamethrower!", said May, as Combusken fired a huge fire attack, hitting Pichu and burning it to a crisp. Pichu even then started crying again.

"Now, use a Slash!", said May, as Combusken scratched Pichu's face, as blood came gushing out.

"Pichu, return! You did a great job!", said Misty, as the wailing Pichu was called back to its Love Ball.

"Great job Combusken!", said May, hugging her strongest Pokemon.

"Misty's not gonna make it...", said Tracey, as Ned nodded.

"This is my strongest Pokemon, May, you're not gonna make it! GO POLIWHIRL!", said Misty, as she threw a Dive Ball onto the arena. Poliwhirl came out, flexing its muscles. The now social Pokemon stood in front of Combusken.

"Poliwhirl, start off with your Hypnosis!", said Misty, as Poliwhirl's whirls started turning the opposite way, and Combusken's eyes started closing, and it soon fell asleep. The crowd were surprised as Combusken fell asleep on the ground.

"Now, Poliwhirl, use Water Pulse!", said Misty, as Poliwhirl's stomach glowed aqua and a bunch of water bubbles came gushing out fast, hitting Combusken and making the fire chicken faint.

"COMBUSKEN! Return... you did great...", said May, as she recalled her strongest Pokemon in her Love Ball.

"Now, this is one of my strongest Pokemon! Go, Marill!", said May, as she threw a Dive Ball out. Marill came out, running around and around, and flexing its "muscles". But all that shown was flab.

"Marill, start off by using your Iron Tail!", said May, as Marill's blue balloon tail turned gray and it hit Poliwhirl in the whirl, dealing minor damage.

"Poliwhirl, use your Hypnosis!", said Misty, as Poliwhirl's whirls again started turning round and round.

"That trick's not gonna work this time! Close your Eyes!", said May, as Marill covered its eyes and the hypnosis proved ineffective.

"Use Body Slam!", said Misty, as Poliwhirl went back and hit Marill, sending it back and tackling it with its whole body, Marill and Poliwhirl were now equally hurt.

"Poliwhirl, use Take Down!", said Misty, as Poliwhirl ran as fast as it could with as much force as May commanded Marill to use Rollout.

Marill started rolling toward Poliwhirl, both Pokemon were thrown back.

"Marill, let's finish this match! Use Rain Dance!", said May, as a small raincloud appeared above Poliwhirl and Marill, and the arena was now raining.

"May, you've just killed yourself. Rain Dance makes the Thunder attack 100% accurate and effective, so with that said; POLIWHIRL! THUNDER!", screamed Misty, as Poliwhirl's whirls grew yellow, and lightning struck Marill. The Pokemon immediately fainted. The raincloud went away, and the announcer cried, "MARILL HAS FAINTED! MAY HAS LOST, AND MISTY HAS WON THE SEMI-FINALS!"

"Great job, Marill!", muttered May, and recalled her starter in the Dive Ball.

Misty cheered and recalled Poliwhirl in its Dive Ball, and walked over to May.

"May, you almost beat me! Congrats...", said Misty.

"Thanks Misty, congrats!", said May feeling better now.

Tracey, Ned, Alicia, Drew, and Prof. Ivy all congratulated Misty, who would now move on to the finals. Of all the people competing in the league, only two would go on to the finals in the next stage. Who would it be? Find out in the next match.

Chapter 32: Tracey Versus Omar

Mature Rating: PG-13

It was night-time. Pummelo Island lay quite, many of the people asleep. The Pummelo Hotel was quiet, but a light showed in Tracey's room. It was three o'clock in the morning, but Tracey couldn't sleep. He lay in bed, watching television, and looking at the ceiling.
Seadra was asleep in front of the television, next to Voltorb and Charmeleon. Tracey couldn't sleep, he wondered if he would make it to the finals, he wondered if he would win the Orange League trophy. He knew he wouldn't though, he couldn't imagine it.
He heard a light tap on the door. He got out of bed and wondered who would be knocking at this late hour. He opened the door and found Misty standing there. She had a light blue nightgown on.

"Misty,", yawned Tracey, "what are you doing here at this time of night?"

"Can't sleep," she said, "can I come in?", she asked in an embaressed tone of voice.

"Um, sure.", said Tracey, motioning for her to enter. She went in, turned on the light, and saw Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon sleeping on the floor.

"Well, mine should come out too.", chuckled Misty, as she released her Pokemon out, they were all asleep. Mareep, Sunkern, and Poliwhirl were all snoring.

Tracey grinned, and saw Misty blushing at him.

"That was a great match you did.", said Tracey, as Misty was pleased.

"Oh, thanks!", said Misty, speechless for words, "Do you think you'll win?",

"No, I'm not a good trainer.", said Tracey, staring at Voltorb.

"Yes you are.", corrected Misty. "You are one of the best trainers I have met in my life, and as far as I am concerned, you're one of the cutest as well.", said she.

Tracey, sitting on the bed with Misty next to him, blushed heavily. Misty leaned over, facing Tracey directly. Their eyes closed, and they leaned in, engaging in a deep, long, kiss. They both tried to break away, but they couldn't. It was too hard to, they knew they weren't ready, but they couldn't hold back.

"OH, I LOVE YOU TRACEY!", screamed Misty, and started unbuttoning Tracey's shirt, as Tracey backed away and told Misty to stop.

Misty went back in surprise.

"Misty," said Tracey, as he unbottoned his shirt back, "Did you mean what you just said?", said Tracey.

"YES YOU BASTARD!", said Misty, as she took a gun and shot Tracey twice in the heart.

"NOOOOOOOOOOO", screamed Tracey, but his cries were drowned by laughs.

Tracey woke up. His forehead was sweating, and it was morning. He looked around, the door was locked. It was all a dream. Misty was never there, and he sighed a sigh of relief. He woke up and showered.

His match was at nine o'clock, and he wondered if he would win.

At nine, he made his way toward the arena. The arena was jam-packed, since this was already the semi-final match. He went in the locker room, and saw his opponent.

He was overweight, and did not even look at Tracey.

"THIS IS THE SEMI-FINAL MATCH! TRACEY VERSUS OMAR! IT WILL BE TWO-ON TWO, AND WHOEVER WINS WILL GO ON TO THE FINALS! LET THE MATCH BEGIN!", said the announcer.

Tracey faced Omar on the dirt field. Omar grinned, and sent out a Lure Ball. "Go, Corsola!", said he, as a pinkish coral Pokemon came out smiling.

"Go, Voltorb!", said Tracey, as he threw the Pokeball out, sending out Voltorb. It looked excited to be in its first league match.

"Voltorb, use Thunderbolt!", said Tracey, as Voltorb fired an electric attack.

"Corsola, use Ancient Power!", said Omar, in a British accent, and Corsola's eyes glew brown. It fired two huge rocks from it, and it collided in the thunderbolt...

Chapter 33: Tracey versus Omar II

Voltorb's strong Thunderbolt crashed into Corsola's Ancient Power. The rock pushed against the electric attack for a bit, until Voltorb's Thunderbolt completely overpowered the Ancient Power. The rocks crashed into small pieces and fell to the ground.

Corsola and Omar both gasped.

"How the **** can that ******* Voltorb crash Corsola's ***** ******* Ancient Power Attack?", screamed Omar, as Corsola too started cussing in its own language.

Both Tracey and Voltorb started laughing, but Tracey remembered the dream. He was glad it was fake. Drew, Andrea, Ned, May and Misty and even Prof. Ivy started laughing when hearing Omar cuss his Corsola out.

May's Marill was out of its ball, on May's lap, and Misty's Pichu was out too. Marill and Pichu played together, while their masters watched the semi-final match.

"Oh, ****it, Corsola use Take Down!", said Omar, as Corsola grew white and came speeding up to Voltorb.

"Voltorb, Defense Curl!", screamed Tracey, as Voltorb started rolling around in place, deflecting Corsola off.

"Omar, your Corsola seems weak. I would recall it.", said Tracey, he didn't wanna hurt Omar's Corsola.

"Oh, **** you, I'm the trainer here! Corsola, Fissure!", said Omar, as Corsola buried itself underground and started shaking the ground. Tracey started shaking, but saw that Voltorb was really getting beat up. He then had a strategy.

"Voltorb, use Dig!", said he, as Voltorb started buried itself inside the ground.

"What the **** is he doing?", said Omar, as he told Corsola to fight on.

"Voltorb, Explosion!", said Tracey, as a huge blast came from underground, knocking both Tracey and Omar off the ground. Misty's Pichu started to cry, but May's Marill comforted it.

"What the **** is your ******* problem, *****?", said Omar, angirly, flipping Tracey.

"Would you please stop cussing?", said Tracey, as Officer Jenny said something to Omar, and then left the arena.

"All right, now I will ask like an Englishman.", said Omar, trying hard not to cuss. When the smoke cleared, Tracey and Omar saw both Voltorb and Corsola fainted. Voltorb had sacrificed itself to defeat Corsola.

"Return you **... uh Return Corsola!", said Omar, grinning a mischeavous smile.

"Great job Voltorb! You did great!", said Tracey, recalling Voltorb in its Pokeball. The semi-final match was already over. Tracey knew that if he won this, he would battle someone in the finals.

Dannie had warned him that during the Orange League, a lot of matches ended in draws. When a draw occured, both players were disqualified. This happened in Indigo, Johto, Hoenn, and even the Aloe Vera League. Therefore, a lot of people were disqualified. Tracey decided to not let that happen again.

"Go, Octillery!" screamed Omar, throwing out a Lure Ball onto the arena. Suddenly, the dirt shifted and a watery arena came up, replacing the durt.

"What was that about?" asked Tracey sarcastically.

"Octillery's special ability: Adaption: It changes the arena based on its type.", said Omar, laughing.

Tracey's choices were narrow. Voltorb would be a great Pokemon for this match, but it fainted. Charmeleon in water would be suicide, so he figured he'd use his new Seadra and test it out.

"Go, Seadra!", said Tracey, as he threw his Dive Ball, and out came Seadra, swimming around in the water.

"Octillery, start off with your Octazooka!", said Omar, as Octillery fired small balls of water at Seadra.

"Seadra, Dive underwater!", said Tracey, as Seadra dove underwater, missing the attack completely.

As Octillery was looking for Seadra above water, it's tentacles were still below water.

"Seadra, use Sharp Swim!", said Tracey, as Seadra's spikes glew. He then pushed his spikes into Octillery's tentacles, paralyzing him and hurthing him badly.

"Octillery! Don't let him mess with ya! Use Psybeam under water!", said Omar, as Octillery dived underwater and glew purple.

"Seadra, use Smokescreen underwater!", commanded Tracey, as Seadra fired a smokescreen underwater, making the Psybeam miss completely. Seadra was hidden underwater. Octillery came up.

"You can't stay down there forever! Octillery, use Ice Beam! Freeze the water!", commanded Omar, as Octillery fired an ice attack freezing the water. There was a patch of black ice all over the arena.

"SEADRA!", screamed Tracey, and Seadra's snout appeared under the ice.

"USE DRAGON RAGE!", screamed Tracey happily, as Omar cussed under his breath.

The whole ice melted, and Seadra was back up.

"Now, use Dragon Rage again!", screamed Tracey, as a red beam came out of Seadra's snout, it hit Octillery, engulfing it, and throwing it in the air, and into the water. It was very weak.

"Now, show it a real Ice Beam!", screamed Tracey, as Seadra fired ice from its snout. It coverede the water once again, and Octillery fainted underwater.

"Octillery return...", cursed Omar, and recalled Octillery.

"WE DID IT SEADRA! WE DID IT!", yelled Tracey, hugging his Seadra happily.

"THIS IS A MIRACLE! TRACEY AND MISTY ARE THE ONLY TRAINERS AS USUAL TO GO ON TO THE FINALS! WHOEVER WINS BETWEEN THEM WILL WIN THE ORANGE CUP!", said the announcer.

Tracey looked up at Misty who in turn looked down at him. She was smiling, as was he, but they both had to be careful to not ruin their friendship...

Chapter 34: The Final Battle: Tracey Versus Misty

A congregation had formed inside the temporary flat of Tracey Sketchit. Tracey was getting ready for his final match, where he would be battling Misty, to decide the outcome of The Orange League. Of course, Tracey was wearing a black tuxedo and a bow-tie, not his regular clothes. His mother Andrea and Proffesor Ivy insisted that he wear it. Now, his mother, Proffesor Ivy, and May were getting Tracey ready.
Drew and Ned watched as poor Tracey was having colone sprayed on him from three different people.
The Pokemon were out. Seadra talked with Voltorb and May's Marill, while Charmeleon talked and hung around with May's Combusken and Ned's Quilava. Andrea's Miltank talked with Ivy's Wailmer and Drew's Smeargle. May's Mareep was left out, but it soon got into a conversation with Smeargle, Wailmer, and Miltank.

"Now, a little more colone here and some more...", continued Andea, as she sprayed many different kinds of colone over her son. It was still morning, and the match was gonna start in fifteen minutes.

"Oh, enough! I look like I'm gonna go to a prom!", angirly said Tracey, and went into the bathroom and came out in his regular clothes, with a hint of colone coming from his neck.

"Tracey! You ruined it!", said May, but then something else came to her mind, "Where's Misty?"

"Oh, she's in her flat nextdoor," said Ned.


Jessie and James

At the arena at which the final match was going to take place, Jessie and James stood disguised as hot dog sellers. Meowth was drinking a Pina Colada, as people started filling in the seats. Jessie stood with a fake uniform on, as did James. Meowth finished his Pina Colada and threw it on the ground. Beautifly was out, fluttering next to Jessie, and Dustox was also out, flapping its wings next to James.

"That twerp has come far! Once he wins, we'll steal his trophy and his Pokemon!", declared Jessie.

"Yes, and that means his Pokemon will be in top shape! We'll sell that pesky Seadra and Voltorb and give the strongest Charmeleon to the boss!", said James.

"I have something to say too.", said Meowth.

"What?", asked Jessie and James together.

"Get me another Pina Colada."


Misty

Misty sat on her bed, wearing her usual outfit. She was hard in thought, Poliwhirl out with Sunkern and Pichu. Sunkern and Pichu were eagerly conversing, but Poliwhirl just sat there.

"I will win."


The Arena

It was noon. The arena was full. Team Rocket were there, selling souveniers, while Andrea, Drew, Prof. Ivy, Ned, and May were in the stands cheering on.

"THIS IS IT! THE FINAL MATCH OF THE ORANGE ISLAND LEAGUE! TRACEY AND MISTY! WHOEVER WINS THIS GETS THE TROPHY! AND HERE THEY ARE! TRACEY SKETCHIT AND MISTY WATERFLOWER!", announced the announcer, as Tracey came out onto the ice arena. He looked around at his fans and looked in front of him, at Misty, who also came out and smiled at Tracey.

"IT WILL BE A THREE ON THREE, LET THE MATCH BEGIN!", cried the announcer, as Tracey and Misty both got two Pokeballs ready.

"Go, Pichu!", said Misty, as she threw the Love Ball out, and out came Pichu, dancing around, and smiling.

"I'll fight electric with electric! Hit it, Voltorb!", said Tracey, as he threw the Pokeball out containing Voltorb. Voltorb came out rolling around on the icy arena.

"Voltorb, use Thundershock!", said Tracey, as Voltorb conjured up some yellow electricity and aimed it toward Pichu.

"Pichu, use your own Thundershock!", said Misty, as Pichu's pink cheeks conjured up electricity and it too fired it.

Chapter 35: The Final Battle: Tracey Versus Misty II

The two electric attacks collided in the middle of the arena. There was an explosion. Smoke covered the arena, so that nobody, not even Tracey or Misty could see their Pokemon. Voltorb and Pichu started coughing, and the smoke would not clear.

High up in the stands, Jessie and James looked down at the smoke.

"Do you think we should help the twerp?" asked James to Jessie, who nodded.

"Beautifly, Dustox, go use your Whirlwind!", said Jessie and James, as Beautifly and Dustox, who where both at Team Rocket's sides, fluttered down and blew the smoke away. Then, they both went back to Jessie and James.

"Who did those Pokemon belong to?", asked a bewildered Tracey, but his mind shifted to his match.

"Voltorb, use Rollout!", said Tracey, as Voltorb started rolling towards Pichu.

"Pichu, use Headbutt!", said Misty, as Pichu started running toward Voltorb with its had raised, and slammed it into Voltorb's hard body. It started getting dizzy, and Voltorb's Rollout hit Pichu head on, and it slammed into the arena wall. Pichu was still alive and well.

"Voltorb, start off with Sonicboom!", said Tracey, but quickly, Misty ordered it to use Attract.

The female Pichu's eyes glew pink, and Voltorb, who was getting ready to attack, spotted Pichu. It started blushing, and then started hysterically laughing, as if it was mad.

"Voltorb, what is wrong with you?", asked a bewildered Tracey, as Voltorb continued laughing.

"Voltorb is in love with Pichu! Now, Pichu, use your Sweet Kiss!", said Misty, as Pichu ran up to Voltorb and kissed it. Voltorb grew even more red and thus fell asleep.

"Misty is creaming Tracey!", whispered Andrea to Drew high up in the arena.

"Now, Pichu, finish it with your Thunderpunch!", commanded Misty, as Pichu's small fist grew yellow, and it slammed it into Voltorb, and the sleeping Pokemon in love went flying in the air, and eventually collided into the wall, fainted.

"VOLTORB HAS FAINTED! TRACEY HAS LOST A POKEMON!", said the announcer, as Tracey recalled Voltorb into its Pokeball, congratulating it on its duitful victory. Misty was hugging Pichu, congratulating it.

Tracey got a Dive Ball ready.

"Hit it, Seadra!", said he, as Seadra came out of the Dive Ball, looking around at the packed arena.

"This is funny! Pichu, use another Thunderpunch!", said Misty, as Pichu's fist again glowed, and it went towards Seadra.

"Seadra, use Ice Beam!", said Tracey, as Seadra's snout grew white and it fired a cube of ice at the advancing Pichu. Pichu was caught in the ice, and froze. It then fainted.

"Great job, Pichu! Return! GO, Sunkern!", cried Misty, as she recalled the frozen Pichu and threw out a Friend Ball containing her Sunkern. It looked strong and tough to beat.

"Sunkern, use your Razor Leaf!", said Misty, as Sunkern fired two small leaves from its leaf, and Tracey said, "Seadra, freeze this with Blizzard! Turn the match around!"

Seadra's eyes glew white. The sun went behind the clouds. A few snowflakes came from the sky, and this soon turned into a terrible snowstorm. Snow was everywhere, and Sunkern shivered. It recieved a lot of damage.

"Oh yeah? Well, look how we turn this match around! Use Sunny Day!", commanded Misty, as Sunkern's leaves made the snow melt, and a hot, melting sun come out.

"Sunny Day allows one-turn Solarbeams! SUNKERN, SOLARBEAM! FULL POWER!", said Misty, as Sunkern's leaves glew white.

"Heh, you have to wait two turns!", said Tracey, but Sunkern's leaves fired a huge sunny beam at Seadra, who was expecting the attack to take two turns. It took the damage head on, and collided onto the wall of the arena, and immediatly fainted.

"TRACEY HAS LOST ANOTHER POKEMON! HE HAS ONE LEFT!", said the announcer.

"Great job, Seadra...", said Tracey, and recalled the fainted Seadra. Misty was congratulating her Sunkern.

"Tracey, when Sunny Day is in affect, Solarbeam only takes one turn!", said Misty, petting her Sunkern.

Tracey was done for. He only had one more Pokemon left, but this one was his strongest. His hand went to his belt, and he took out his Friend Ball. He had faith in this Pokemon, he would win that Orange Cup.

"GO, CHARMELEON!", screamed Tracey, and Charmeleon came out, flexing its muscles. Misty gasped.

"Sunkern, fire Solarbeam!", cried Misty, as Sunkern again fired a one turn Solarbem, the beam edging near Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!", commanded Tracey swiftly, and Charmeleon fired a red fire attack from its mouth. It collided with the beam. Both attacks were strong, but the Flamethrower eventually overpowered the Solarbeam and sent both attacks at Sunkern. Sunkern was hit head on, and burned.

"Sunkern!", cried Misty.

Sunkern struggled to stand, and it finally fainted.

"SUNKERN HAS FAINTED! BOTH TRAINERS HAVE ONE POKEMON LEFT!", cried the announcer.

"Tracey, you may have the upper hand, but my strongest Pokemon will win! GO, POLIWHIRL!", cried Misty, as she sent her Dive Ball out, and Poliwhirl came out, flexing its muscles, facing the equally strong Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!", said Tracey, as Charmeleon fired the ever-so familiar fire attack at Poliwhirl.

"Poliwhirl, use Water Gun!", said Misty, as Poliwhirl fired an icy cold blast at Charmeleon from its belly.

The attacks collided, but what will happen? Find out in the final round, Chapter 36!

Chapter 36: The Tsar

Every one of the Orange Islands had a Tsar, or an emperor, who governed over the island. Valencia Island, Tangelo Island, Mikan Island, Lassen Island, Labusso Island, Qamkouad Island, and Pummelo Island, all had tsars. The other islands, Electric Island, Aveda Island, Danbun Island, Steel Island, and Fire Island, were all almost inhabited. They had about one or two residents, so those islands were all ruled as colonies by Tangelo Island, whose tsar ruled over those islands.

While Tracey and Misty battled it out in Pummelo Island, breaking news was occuring back in Valencia Island. The tsar Alexander the III, who had been tsar for over 50 years, had passed away of a sudden heart attack. His young son, Tsarevitch Nicholas the II, and his Tsarina Alexandra Federovna became the new tsar of Valencia Island.

Now, with that said and done, here is a picture of Tsar Nicholas the II, who sat on the throne with his Tsarina Alexandra Federovna that day in 2003. Nicholas Romanov was the new Tsar of Valencia Island, and it would be that way for many years. He was the next tsar in line from the long line of Romanovs, who's dynasty had been since the 1500's.

The castle of Valencia, known as The Kremlin, was quiet. An old classic Valencia waltz was playing in the room of the new tsar, and he closed his eyes. The tsar had no Pokemon, and neither did the tsarina. They just sat in The Kremlin, and spent lazy days ruling Valencia.

A few hundred miles away, in Pummelo Island, the Pummelo Island tsar Tsar Christopher II and Tsarina Tatania Tanechka watched the league games, as Tracey batted Misty.

Okay, I know you finished that and you were like "What does this have to do with Pokemon?"

Well, the Tsar will play oh such an important role in this story, you won't even imagine. Just bear with me, Chapter 37-38 will sum of Orange, and a surprise is in store for all of you in Chapter 39, and the last chapter of this fanfic is Chapter 40.

Chapter 37: The Final Battle: Tracey Versus Misty III


The Tsar

Tsar and Tsarena Nicholas the II and Alexandra Fedorovna had five children. The oldest was Olga, who was 16. She had long, brown hair, and had about eight boyfriends. The second oldest was Maria, who was 15. She was quiet and sickly. The third eldest was Tatiana, who was happy-go-lucky. The fourth daugher was Anastasia, who was quiet as well. The youngest and final child was a boy, Tsarevitch Alexis. He was sickly. He was, however, next to the throne.


Pummelo Island

Charmeleon's Flamethrower and Poliwhirl's Water Gun collided. As thought, the water completely made the flames vanish. Charmeleon and Tracey gasped. This was going to be hard.

"Good job, Poliwhirl! Use Hypnosis!", screamed Misty, as Poliwhirl's whirls on its stomach started turning round and round.

"Charmeleon, close your eyes!", cried Tracey, but Charmeleon went up to Poliwhirl, its eyes wide. The eyes closed, and Charmeleon fell asleep.

"NO! Charmeleon, wake up!", cried Tracey, but Charmeleon was still asleep, even though it was still standing up.

"Now, use Doubleslap!", cried Misty, as Poliwhirl slapped Charmeleon hard, twice. Charmeleon then fell on its back, sleeping. The future looked grim for Tracey.

"He's getting his butt kicked.", whispered May to Ned, whose face looked shady.

Team Rocket were looking on. "Maybe we shouldn't take the twerps Pokemon, they're weak.", said Meowth, finishing up the Pina Colada that was being shared with Beautifly and Dustox.

"Heh, Misty. My Charmeleon's not that dumb. We have a lot of tricks up our sleeve! Charmeleon, use Snore!", cried Tracey, as Charmeleon started taking in breath. It then snored loudly at Poliwhirl, who got hurt quite a bit.

It toppled back, but was hardly hurt.

"What was that? Poliwhirl, use Lock On! Focus on Charmeleon's tail!", cried Misty, as Poliwhirl's eyes focused on Charmeleon's large tail flame.

"Now, Charmeleon, use Snore again!", said Tracey, but Charmeleon didn't hear well. It was, after all, in a deep sleep. Tracey was sweating. Tracey's former opponents looked on. Dustin was in his room, eating. Houndour was out, and as Dustin looked at the tv, he just smiled.

Omar was eating. Octillery and Corsola were both out, and Omar saw Tracey sweating.

"Sweat, you *****, your ******-******* fat *** got me out of the ******* tournament!", as Corsola and Octillery almost choked.

"Now, use Hydro Pump at its tail!", cried Misty, as Poliwhirl aimed directly and fired a Hydro Pump, a huge water blast, from its whirl. The attack hit Charmeleon's tail. Suddenly, steam rose from it.

Charmeleon woke up. It was in pain. It looked around.

"CHARMELEON! NOOOOOOO!", cried Tracey, as Charmeleon was about to collapse. More steam rose from its tail, but Charmeleon remembered. It remembered the moment where he met Tracey on Fire Island, the first time he saw his smiling face.

He remembered when he rescued the Tracey's old Horsea and Voltorb and Ned's Quilava from Team Rocket evil trap. It remembered saving Tracey from the avalanche, and also defeated the Mirror Man and evolving from a Charmander into a Charmeleon. He remembered defeating the gym leader at Qamkouad Island all by himse... wait... what was this about Mirror Move? Mirror Move!

Charmeleon, who's tail flame returned, much to the dismay of Misty and Poliwhirl, went running to Tracey. It whispered something in its ear, and Tracey grinned.

"We'll do it!", said Tracey.

"Now that Charmeleon's all washed up, I'll finish it! Use Thunder!", cried Misty, as Poliwhirl glowed yellow, and fired a huge thunder from its tummy. It hit Charmeleon, almost making it faint. But Charmeleon was strong.

"It didn't faint!", cried a terrified Misty.

Now, Tracey seeked revenge.

"A trainer I battled on the way here taught my Charmeleon a special move, Mirror Move. It repeats the move used last by the opponent on the opponent.", said Tracey grinning.

"That's exactly what I said to you on Lassen Island, when my Poliwag beat your Voltorb...", said Misty, as Tracey ordered Charmeleon to use Mirror Move.

Charmeleon's tail glew yellow, and it fired a huge attack on Poliwhirl, who was fried to a crisp, and paralyzed.

The crowd cheered.

"No...", said Misty.

"CHARMELEON, SACRED FIRE!", screamed Tracey, as Charmeleon glew red and fired a huge attack at Poliwhirl, fainting the Pokemon.

"TRACEY SKETCHIT HAS DEFEATED MISTY! TRACEY IS THE NEW CHAMPION OF THE ORANGE LEAGUE!", cried the announcer.

"Great job, Poliwhirl...", said Misty, recalliing Poliwhirl to its Dive Ball.

"YES WE DID! THANKS GUYS! THANKS!", yelled Tracey, as Charmeleon, Seadra, and Voltorb are danced around.

"YES! YES!", cried Drew and Andrea, both crying and hugging each other.

"Great job!", cried both Ned and Prof. Ivy, tears in their eyes.

"Like, wow!", said May, crying.

Jessie and James both looked at each other and decided to steal the Pokemon, as Meowth, Beautifly and Dustox laughed.

"HERE IS THE ORANGE CUP! TRACEY, YOU HAVE WON!", said the ref, as he handed Tracey a big trophy, colored blue, with a Pokeball on top. It was engraved with Tracey's name on it, and pictures of his Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon.

"Thank you!", said Tracey, crying. He took it up and waved it in the air.

"Congrats, Tracey.", said Misty, as she shook Tracey's hand.

"Thanks Misty, you did a great job...", said Tracey.

Now, winning the Orange League, Tracey returned to his flat at Pummelo, where he would pack and return home to Valencia, once and for all.

Chapter 38: The Return Trip Home

It was noon at Pummelo Island. The once full arena was clear, nobody was there. There were still popcorn on the floor, and even some un-eaten Caramel Apples. The once active battlefield was cleared, no Pokemon battling there.
In one of the apartment buildings, Tracey Sketchit was packing. Seadra was out of its Dive Ball, eagerly talking with Charmeleon, who was too out of its Friend Ball. They must have been talking about recent events. Voltorb was out of its Pokeball, but ever since Horsea had evolved, it had chosen to be by itself more than by Seadra or Charmeleon.
Tears formed in Tracey's eyes. He was finally going home. The Orange Cup caught the corner of his eye. He looked up to the top of the drawer and saw the Orange Cup, shining in all its glory. Tracey couldn't believe it, he was the new Champion! He grinned, and petted Seadra and Charmeleon on the head. Voltorb waddled over to Charmeleon and Seadra and within minutes they were talking just like before, when the three of them were still Horsea, Voltorb, and Charmander.

With two suitcases packed, Tracey took the Orange Cup and gave it to Charmeleon to hold. He then stole one more look at his suite and went to the lobby of the Pummelo Hotel. After checking out, he then saw his parents, May, and Misty. Ned was not with them.

"Good morning, everyone!", said Tracey.

"Hi, my little champion!", said Andrea, hugging Tracey and kissing him twice on each cheek. Her lipstick made imprints. May and Misty chuckled, and Tracey blushed.

Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon started talking again, but Tracey noticed that Ned and Quilava were not with them.

"Guys, where is Ned?", asked Tracey, looking around a bit trying to find his mentor.

"He went home early this morning. He went back to Danbun Island with Quilava.", said Prof. Ivy.

"Well, my Smeargle is gonna Teleport your mom, and Miss Ivy back to Valencia.", said Drew.

"Wanna join us?", asked May.

"No, I'll take my boat home.", said Tracey. Everyone except Ned and Tracey and also May and Misty had been teleported here by Smeargle.

Soon, Smeargle and Ivy, Andrea, and Drew were gone, teleported to Valencia by Smeargle.

"Well, we're gonna go home on our ship.", said May and Misty.

"Bye Trace!", said May, running out, her Marill by her side.

"Well, Misty, I'll be seeing you!", said Tracey.

Misty, with Pichu next to her, went up to Tracey.

"Y'know, you're a great guy.", she did what she had never done before, she quickly pecked him on the cheek. She was out of the hotel with Pichu faster than ever. Tracey blushed, and motioned for Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon to stop talking and come on.

He boarded The Valencia, and headed off for the long trip back to Valencia Island. Once on deck, Tracey put the Orange Cup trophy and his badge case on the bureau, and lay down on his bed. The boat was speeding quickly. Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon, best friends again, were all watching Pokemon. It was the episode where Ash won his final badge.

Tracey walked out on deck. He looked out at sea, and saw Qamkouad Island, the aroma of the flowers coming his way. He remembered his match there, where Charmeleon beat all three of Laura's strong grass Pokemon with some moderate attacks. He looked at the boat parking pass, and looked.

It was two o'clock when Tracey reached Navel Island. Seeing the snow-capped peak, Tracey remembered how Charmander had saved the avalanche all by himself.

By eight o'clock that night, Tracey had reached Tangelo Island. He saw the big islands, whose tsar had many colonies in the islands, and remembered how Horsea beat that huge Relicanth.

By two in the morning, Tracey reached Valencia Island. The Venetian was closed, and Tracey saw a newspaper. He read the headline TSAR ALEXANDER DEAD! TSAR NICHOLAS TAKES HIS PLACE! and gasped. He then read TRACEY SKETCHIT WINS LEAGUE! TO BE CONGRATULATED BY TSAR NICHOLAS ON MONDAY!

Tracey couldn't believe it! He would be congratulated by the tsar himself! One of the highest honors in all of Valencia Island! This was just perfect!

Tracey saw the estate of the Sketchit family and sleepily realized of how he would drag his boat all the way up there. Suddenly, Drew and Smeargle, both in night clothes came down.

"I saw you from the window waiting with your boat.", said Drew. Smeargle then teleported all three of them to the estate.

"Where's the boat?", asked Tracey, and Drew pointed to the garage, where Tracey's boat was parked.

His pokeballs were all out, and Drew said that his clothes and other belongings were all in their room in their currect place. Smeargle had teleported them there. Tracey liked Smeargle, it helped him with a lot of things.

"Son, welcome back!", said Drew, as he hugged Tracey.

Chapter 39: The Final Hour

Final Chapter

Tracey Sketchit was in his room. He was finally home. He was now going to be congratulated by Tsar Nicholas the II of Valencia Island, for winning The Orange Cup. Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon were all out of their Poke-Balls, talking to each other. Tracey's Orange Cup rested on his bureau, and he looked at it as he changed into his nicest tuxedo and brushed his hair.

Soon, Drew, Andrea, Proffesor Ivy, May, and Misty entered the room. Andrea walked over to Tracey and took his headband out of his hair.

"Mom, what do you think you're doing?" asked an annoyed Tracey as Andrea put the headband in Tracey's bureau.

Seadra and Voltorb chuckled, but Charmeleon felt sympathy for his master.

"Darling, you are going to meet the Tsar of Valencia Island, and I am not going to send you over there dressed like a peasant!", exclaimed Andrea.

"Andrea, don't be so hard on the poor guy!", said a Southern accent behind Drew. Everyone turned around, and they saw Ned Wallingrum, Quilava by his side!

Tracey smiled, as Andrea exclaimed, "Ned, what are you doing here?", as she walked over to Ned. Quilava ran over to Tracey's three Pokemon and they started a deep coversation.

"How could I miss this? Tracey is going to meet the Tsar of Valencia Island?", said Ned, as May and Misty and Drew and even Proffesor Ivy greeted him.

"Well, the tsar is going to meet us at 12:00 noon for tea, and it's already 11:30, so let's get going.", said Drew, as Tracey put some finishing touches on his hair and left the room.

Tracey was in front, Charmeleon walking by his side. Seadra and Voltorb were both on his shoulder. Drew and Andrea walked directly behind him. Misty and May walked behind them, and Ned and Prof. Ivy walked in the very back.

Behind a bush, Jessie, James, and Meowth spied on them.

"Looks like the victorious twerp is going to a party! A perfect time to get his Pokemon!", said Meowth, finishing his Pina Colada.

"Yes!", said Jessie, as they jumped out.

"Team Rocket Blast Off at the Speed of Light!", said Jessie.

"I'm James, She's Jessie, and this is Meowth!", said James.

"Meowth, that's right!", said Meowth.

"Not you three again!", said Tracey, as May and Misty groaned.

Drew, Andrea, and Alicia laughed, and Ned exclaimed, "You already know you're gonna lose, so move it!"

"Well, we know you're going to the tsar's place so we're gonna go in there and steal all his Faberge eggs...", began Jessie, but felt a strong hand on her shoulder. She looked up and saw a man with a uniform on. He was one of the tsar's guards.

They took Jessie, James, and Meowth, and threw them into the ocean, not far away.

"TEAM ROCKET'S BLASTING OFF AGAIN", they chanted, as Ned chuckled.

"Well, shall we proceed", said the guard, and the procession continued.

They entered the Kremlin. The whole palace, the palace of the tsar's, was made of marble. It smelled of newness as they entered, and saw the royal throne. Tsar Nicholas II was seated on the throne, and his wife Tsarena Alexandra Federovna was seated next to him. The four Grand Duchesses Olga, Maria, Tatania, and Anastasia were sitting next to their mother, and Tsarevitch Alexis was next to his father.

The servents and almost every citizen in Valencia was there in the hall, and Tsar Nicholas the II rose.

So did Alexandra and the children.

Tracey Sketchit, victorious stood in front of the new tsar.

Andrea stood behind Tracey. Tears formed in her eyes, and Miltank was out. It stood next to her master. Drew looked proudly upon his son. Smeargle was out, smiling.

Proffesor Ivy looked proud. Wailmer was out, looking under her skirt. It took up room, but nobody minded, the Kremlin room was huge. Ned was smiling, very proud of Tracey. Quilava was also happy.

May was laughing. She was happy. Marill was out, talking to itself. Combusken was quiet, next to its master. Mareep was also quiet, and started talking to Marill.

Misty was blushing. Her face was read. Poliwhirl stood next to Misty, anti-social as usual. Sunkern and Pichu both started talking fast.

Seadra, Voltorb, and Charmeleon, all best friends, were speaking as well. The Grand Duchesses, the Tsarevitch, the Tsarena, and the Tsar as well as the servents, did not have Pokemon.

"Tracey Sketchit. You are an excellent trainer. You have adressed love to your Pokemon, and that is why you have succeeded so. You have made many friends and enemies, faced many easy battles and unpassable challenges. You have seen chaos and order, joy, and pain, but alas, through it all, you have succeeded. Your prize is the majestic Orange Cup Trophy, and most of all, the trust and joy of your Pokemon. Your Pokemon love each other, but most of all they love you dearly. Tracey, as the tsar of Valencia Island, I bow to you.", said the tsar.

Then it happened. Tracey's friends, the whole congregation bowed. His parents, his rivals, even the Pokemon. Proffesor Ivy and Ned did as well. All of Valencia bowed. The servents. Even the tsarena, the tsarevitch, and the Grand Duchess. And the tsar bowed. The tsar of Valencia bowed to Tracey Sketchit, the boy who had seen death so much but who had likewise achieved so much.

Tracey cried tears of joy, and exclaimed loudly, "Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them!!!"


The End

Everyone, I loved writing these 39 chapters for you. They have given me so much to do over these past few weeks, but I loved doing them nonetheless. Writing these has been a privledge to me. The fun I've had doing these chapters has made me feel proud as a person, and I hope you have enjoyed them too. So ends this fanfic. No more new chapters, this fic is over.

However, a sequel will start very soon. Same characters, same plot, same story, same Pokemon, same setting. The fic should start tommorow. Meanwhile, mods close this topic and move it to the Completed Fic archive, please.
