Well, I'm stoked and honoured.

Thanks to everyone who nominated or voted for Lisa the Legend or myself, I can't say how much I appreciate it. I'm really pleased that Lisa received the Best Character in a Leading Role award; I've always struggled with characterisation, so this is really nice to get. Best Chapter for Behind the Glass is the other one I'm really proud of - those who read Lisa the Legend know that it took almost all of last year and a huge amount of perseverence to get that epic chapter completed, and I'm glad it was deemed a worthy instalment by the readers. Thanks again to everyone!

Congrats to everyone who won awards - especially Saffire Persian for scooping up Best Writer once again and Andrew for taking out Biggest Drama King for possibly the fourth year in a row! (I can't back that up, but it seems possible ...)

Now, shifting into mod-mode: From a vote-counting point of view, this was a really good awards year. We had a really spread result and a lot of members picked up awards - not to mention a fairly impressive voter turnout. So, thanks to everyone who participated in the awards by turning in ballots, nominating or suggesting, because it made this year's Silver Pencil's one of the strongest awards we've had.

Because if I won that for ripping off Mewtwo, slapping a Dark-type on and giving him a murderous gaze and then a couple of years later making up an explanation to make him seem a bit less dumb, those who voted for me need to be shot.

Heh, it was the second most probably deserved one I was nominated for (it does take dedication to struggle on with writing and rewriting the same fic for four and a half years), but I'm very content to lose to Chris 2.0, because man, he is dedicated. Um... how did I win Best Reviewer? Good lord, the world is so high on various drugs and generally sleep-deprived these days. I mean, I suppose I think something of my reviewing skills...
