“GO ZANGOOSE!” yelled the young trainer. The pokeball landed in the battlefield, and with a loud crack, a Zangoose appeared, looking ready to pounce on any whom challenged it. A small girl on the other side of the arena timidly tossed a pokeball into the ring, and from it emerged a tiny Wismer.
“Wismer, do your best!”
“Zangoose! You got this!”
Zangoose gave a confident grin, and rushed towards the small Wismer. With claws extended and movements honed by practice, Zangoose cut into the Wismer, or at least tried to. As Zangoose pulled close to it, it opened its mouth and gave a loud roar, one that shook the ground. Zangoose had opted to stay away from the noise, and that was probably a good idea, as the consequences for getting close were dire.
“Try a ranged assault!”
Zangoose nodded and pulled back his claw, seemingly getting ready to throw something. The Wismer braced itself for what ever Zangoose was going to throw, and in the moment of hesitation, Zangoose dashed forward and delivered five harsh strokes of his claws. The Wismer gave out a tiny cry and slipped into unconsciousness. Now it was time for the second pokemon to come out. Another red and white orb was thrown towards the battlefield, and this time, a Skitty emerged.
“Zangoose don’t fall for her. You have a job to do!”
But it was far too late. Zangoose had fallen for her charms. There was only one option.
Andrew called Zangoose back into his ball, and sent out his Raichu. The orange mouse looked at the Skitty, and stuck out its fat pink tongue, taunting the Skitty. Skitty ignored this, and rammed into the large mouse. But as she tackled the Raichu, sparks etched from Raichu’s body to Skitty, and she didn’t look as limber as she had been.
“Finish this Raichu.” Said Andrew in a confident voice. In his first week at the academy, he had climbed up the ranks to a yellow rank trainer. All trainers start at a green rank, and climb their way up to gold rank. Yellow was one rank above green, and even though he had started late into the year, he managed to catch up to his class in ranking. Raichu calmly shot out a weak bolt of static, but it was enough to KO the Skitty.
It had been another easy match.

I'll be writing more soon, sorry about the length. The plot will become clearer, and everything will fall into place. Thanks again!
