View Full Version : Were my opponent's Pokemon hacked?

Below is a (poor quality) video of a tournament battle.

Nothing seemed odd (my opponent did use 3 legendaries but I'm used to that by now), until I tried to upload the battle video. Then I got the following message: "There appears to be a problem with the pokemon in the battle video."

I searched the web and found that this message comes out when one or more of the Pokemon in the video have been hacked. I know mine are legal, since I caught them and trained them myself (well, caught 2, befriended the other on the Dream World). So, was there an error or were my opponent's Pokemon hacked? And if they were hacked, how were they allowed into the tournament?

Any thoughts?

Zekrom and White Kyurem? Hax :/

1) Was this a Ninty tournament, or a Tourney among friends?

2) The person you're playing against-I find it highly unlikely he traded for Zekrom or Reshiram. Be easier to hax a Kyurem hybrid so as to have all three legendaries. Not saying its not possible.

Gabi, this seemed hacked to me. (I finally finished playing through Pokemon Black!)

It was a Nintendo tournament, so it's weird that his hacked Pokemon were allowed in the first place. I've reported the issue to Nintendo and they said they'll look into it.

Thanks, DL, and congrats, Magmar!

Btw Gabi, that was great strategy! I was really impressed with how you utilized Golduck and Ninetales strategically. I agree that it's kind of cheap to use so many legendary Pokemon in one battle. But still, I didn't realize that a Ninetales could take a Fusion Bolt attack so well.

I'm one of those battlers that keeps the same Pokemon throughout the game and is too lazy to EV train, lol. So my team is umm... Samurott, Purrloin, Stoutland, Simi(fire one), Munna's evolution (can't remember what it's called), and whatever the electric horse Pokemon is that you get early on in the game. I distributed their moves kind of nicely, though, so I cover almost every Pokemon type except for Rock, I believe, in my team. So like, Samurott has Scald, Dig, Revenge, and umm... a Bug-type move. He's le tank. Simisear(? I nickname them so I have no idea LOL) has Dark, Fire, Fighting, and Ghost-type moves. You get the idea.

Thanks, Magmar! Ninetales is one of my favorite Pokemon because it's not only cute, but also really versatile. It has good Speed, Special Attack and Special Defense, and Will-o-Wisp makes up for the rather poor Defense. Plus, it has some great moves, and can make good use of either ability (Flash Fire of Drought).
