How many new pokemon are in these games?

At least 100. That is the minimum "official" new Pokemon released needed to complete a region's Pokedex. The event Pokemon will obviously make it more than that bur there is ALWAYS at least 100 new Pokemon ib each generation.

There has always been a minimum of 100 new pokemon with each generation, so you can expect at least 100 new ones. Less than that would be surprising.

That's more than gen 5. I hope these games get sold well when they come to their respective regions.
