DIGIMON
Infinity Sequence
On April 4th, 1997 – Infinity Sequence, a fledgling company trying to break out onto the video game market, released its first and sadly, only title.
Entitled Digital Monsters and called ‘Digimon’ for short, it was an online only game that had players raising, and battling their virtual pets against others across the world and boldly, Infinity Sequence boasted that they were using future-gen servers that would ultimate eliminate wait times and dreaded lag. While initially the game was praised, various problems plagued Infinity Sequence that lead to subsequent failure of the Digital Monster universe and eventually, the company.
For reasons that experts could not determine, the servers that Infinity Sequence had put in place suffered multiple crashes- while at the beginning they functioned better than anything available on the market place, it seemed that somewhere internally, the servers themselves were flawed. If players were able to get online, the world they were playing seemed to glitch, often throwing the player’s monster into the dark abyss of what many came to call the ‘glitch world’.
As people stopped playing, Digital Monsters faded out of the lime light and eventually, the once popular Digimon were forgotten.
Fast forward to June 24th of 2010 and Infinity Sequence re-emerges on the market under the new name of Dream World Corporation. Their next title is much more mainstream, releasing a first person shooter they call Patriotscape – its widely popular and easily undoes the damage that Digital Monsters did. As the game grows in popularity however, Dream World ends up using the old, flawed Infinity Sequence servers to a point – helping with processing power but never actually fully activating the servers.
Two years later, Dream World’s servers are hacked, and while the protective measures the company has quickly lock-down and expel the hackers – random bits of a virus that was in the middle of transferring are fragmented and lost, absorbed into the dormant servers and processed.

The woman stared out over the fields with a distinct scowl on her face. The sun had risen, giving light to the land, the golden rays bounced off of the gently flowing river that cut a swath through the gentle hillside. A forest was off to the south, the leaves on the trees just beginning to change colour – a simulated fall time.
“Charming…” She spoke through a mouth filled with razor teeth. “No sign of the door.”
Ladydevimon had been travelling for year, exploring every nook and cranny of the blasted digital world with the false hope of finding a particular glitch.
When the virus had been absorbed into the servers nearly three years ago, everyone had felt a slight shift in their coding. They had become more aware then what should’ve been possible. In particular, every single creature residing in the abandoned digital realm became distinctly aware that there was another world – eerily close by, one that had long forgotten about them.
The real world and in it – their creators.
The virus had been corrupted when some sort of protection had initialized and stopped the attack. The coding had becoming fragmented, appearing in the sky as great pieces of what resembled a crumbling, alien ship. But when the shards had landed, they had vanished – blinking in and out of existence before in a spectacular fashion; they had exploded into millions of lights and disappeared.
But there were rumours that there was a remnant of the virus that was stuck between existence and absorption into the base coding.
And that’s what she was looking for.
She stood out against the backdrop – digimon like her, they often stayed in the darkest recesses of the digital world. Though her overall form was human in nature, most of her body was wrapped in tight, black leather accompanied by thick, silvery chains. Her exposed flesh had the radiance of a corpse – a pale, dead grey with faint blue veins under her skin. One arm was abnormally long and gangly, with her leather wrapped fingers turning into oversized, red claws.
She flexed that hand as she began down the small incline, using her keen senses to try and pinpoint the anomaly.
The lady was pleasantly surprised when her sharp, red eyes picked up a subtle distortion on the edge of the forest. She smiled, instantly dispelling her scowl as she picked up her pace – hurrying until her senses were tingling, lighting her nerves on fire as she stood mere feet away from her goal.
Ladydevimon extended her normal arm, and held her palm towards the distortion. There was a flicker of red energy before it grew into an unstable orb, wavering in the cool air around it. A second later, she released the pent up strike, watching it fly from her to the distortion, and with a loud pop it smashed into an unseen object.
The hit seemed to stabilize the treasure, revealing its form to be nothing more than a broken pillar, with strange geometric designs all over it. It had glyphs the creature couldn’t fathom, written in a language she didn’t recognize. It gave no clue to its origins – in fact all it did, was loom over her while giving off a distinct hum.
“So, this is the portal…” She murmured, reaching out tentatively with her normal hand. She could feel her coding begin to buzz with a strange energy, something she had never felt before. “It wasn’t enough that you abandoned us,” she grimaced, eyes narrowing. “You sent something to try and destroy us.”
She glanced over her shoulder, watching as another anomaly tore open the green grass behind her – exposing a far darker world beyond. A moment later, yellow and red eyes looked towards her, numerous growls and groans emanating from the shadows.
“Well…” She growled, “Now, it’s time to return the favour.”

Here have an RPG.
Hey, Listen! This RPG requires players to be two characters. You initially sign up as a Digimon Tamer and you PM me your digimon sign up. Please do not tell anyone the digimon you’re playing. Before the RPG starts, everyone will be randomly assigned a digimon. :3 No made up digimon please.
Hey, Look! This RPG takes place in a fictional city based in Japan called Chinatsu; it’s a thriving metropolis and is renowned as one of the cleanest, prettiest cities in the world. It will focus on a group of students at the Takahara Academy, a private school whose uniforms look similar to those worn by the characters in Final Fantasy Type-0. If you needed a reference.

Name: Ryou Saito
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Ryou is a mischievous, cunning trouble maker. Though the majority of his time he spends alone, the few friends he has would say he is sarcastic, with the capability of being crude and/or blunt. Ryou has an attractive charisma about him though, that often puts him in leadership roles he doesn’t always necessarily want. His patience is thin, especially with idiots and whiners – and that’s often when his sharp wit rears its ugly head. He’s smart enough to be one of the top ranked students in the school, however – he instead loafs around in class, only ever doing well enough to pass. Otherwise, he’s usually doodling in his classes, skipping them all together, or being sent to the principal’s office because he’s being rude again. Although he’s quite capable of being kind, he usually isn’t. He’ll stand up for the little guy, only to shit on him later for being such a push over.
Ryou has a good heart, but it’s buried under a parade of issues.
Appearance: Relatively tall, Ryou has a lean build on him and a faint tan (if you were to see him without a shirt on, he may look a tad underweight). His hair is a dark-grey to black and cut shaggy with odd crimson coloured irises instead of the norm. He wears four silver rings on his left hand (pinky, ring, middle and thumb), and on his right three (pointer, middle, pinky). Outside school, he’s usually seen in a black or white muscle/tank top with a grey leather vest with slightly large hood overtop with white fur on the sleeves. Pants wise, it’s always jeans for Ryou, and they’re usually some shade of blue.
History: Ryou’s family has moved twice, finally settling in Chinatsu after a few years. He lives on the poor side of town, and hides the fact that the only reason he’s going to such a prestigious academy is due to his estranged father (who works overseas) is paying the tuition. Ryou had a poor relationship with his mother, who has become something of an alcoholic in recent years. Again, Ryou often hides this by refusing to have people visit his home. It also directly reflects his attitude and behavior, having been expelled from two previous schools due to getting into very bloody fights with other students. On request from his young sister Ai, who’s barely seven – Ryou is attempting not to get into any more physical confrontations.
Relationship(s): Well, this is awkward.
Other: Merp.

Name: Toko Misuto
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Personality: Toko is that popular, peppy girl everyone wants to be friends with. Though initially a bit withdrawn, Toko has a reputation of being kind-hearted and a loyal friend. Not a lot bothers her, and she has a good sense of humour. Never wanting to displease anybody, she often hides her worries and insecurities – replacing them with a smile. When her hidden frustrations hit their breaking point, Toko will often rant to one of her close friends.
Appearance: Toko is of average height, and has long brown hair often tied up a fun, funky ponytail. Her eyes are a dazzling blue, and her physical appearance is a beautiful mix of Eastern Asian and Caucasian. She has long bangs that have an attractive wave to them, and often she leaves half of her long locks down to frame her face. For wardrobe outside of school, Toko has taken the popular route of jean shorts, and a graphic babydoll tee, along with often bright, oversized sweaters.
History: Toko’s mother is from Vancouver, Canada. Initially born in Canada, Toko’s family moved to Chinatsu, Japan when she was ten. She has worked very hard to adapt to her new environment, but she often feels like an outsider due to her looks and heritage. She’s very proud of both countries in her heritage, and is happy that during summer break her family often flies back to Canada to visit her grandparents. Toko’s parents are quite wealthy but are often busy – Toko has taken on more responsibility since her parents have trusted her and don’t micromanage her life.
Relationship(s): Srsly, need friends. xD
