DIGIMON
Infinity Sequence

On April 4th, 1997 – Infinity Sequence, a fledgling company trying to break out onto the video game market, released its first and sadly, only title.

Entitled Digital Monsters and called ‘Digimon’ for short, it was an online only game that had players raising, and battling their virtual pets against others across the world and boldly, Infinity Sequence boasted that they were using future-gen servers that would ultimate eliminate wait times and dreaded lag. While initially the game was praised, various problems plagued Infinity Sequence that lead to subsequent failure of the Digital Monster universe and eventually, the company.

For reasons that experts could not determine, the servers that Infinity Sequence had put in place suffered multiple crashes- while at the beginning they functioned better than anything available on the market place, it seemed that somewhere internally, the servers themselves were flawed. If players were able to get online, the world they were playing seemed to glitch, often throwing the player’s monster into the dark abyss of what many came to call the ‘glitch world’.

As people stopped playing, Digital Monsters faded out of the lime light and eventually, the once popular Digimon were forgotten.

Fast forward to June 24th of 2010 and Infinity Sequence re-emerges on the market under the new name of Dream World Corporation. Their next title is much more mainstream, releasing a first person shooter they call Patriotscape – its widely popular and easily undoes the damage that Digital Monsters did. As the game grows in popularity however, Dream World ends up using the old, flawed Infinity Sequence servers to a point – helping with processing power but never actually fully activating the servers.

Two years later, Dream World’s servers are hacked, and while the protective measures the company has quickly lock-down and expel the hackers – random bits of a virus that was in the middle of transferring are fragmented and lost, absorbed into the dormant servers and processed.

The woman stared out over the fields with a distinct scowl on her face. The sun had risen, giving light to the land, the golden rays bounced off of the gently flowing river that cut a swath through the gentle hillside. A forest was off to the south, the leaves on the trees just beginning to change colour – a simulated fall time.

“Charming…” She spoke through a mouth filled with razor teeth. “No sign of the door.”

Ladydevimon had been travelling for year, exploring every nook and cranny of the blasted digital world with the false hope of finding a particular glitch.

When the virus had been absorbed into the servers nearly three years ago, everyone had felt a slight shift in their coding. They had become more aware then what should’ve been possible. In particular, every single creature residing in the abandoned digital realm became distinctly aware that there was another world – eerily close by, one that had long forgotten about them.

The real world and in it – their creators.

The virus had been corrupted when some sort of protection had initialized and stopped the attack. The coding had becoming fragmented, appearing in the sky as great pieces of what resembled a crumbling, alien ship. But when the shards had landed, they had vanished – blinking in and out of existence before in a spectacular fashion; they had exploded into millions of lights and disappeared.

But there were rumours that there was a remnant of the virus that was stuck between existence and absorption into the base coding.

And that’s what she was looking for.

She stood out against the backdrop – digimon like her, they often stayed in the darkest recesses of the digital world. Though her overall form was human in nature, most of her body was wrapped in tight, black leather accompanied by thick, silvery chains. Her exposed flesh had the radiance of a corpse – a pale, dead grey with faint blue veins under her skin. One arm was abnormally long and gangly, with her leather wrapped fingers turning into oversized, red claws.

She flexed that hand as she began down the small incline, using her keen senses to try and pinpoint the anomaly.

The lady was pleasantly surprised when her sharp, red eyes picked up a subtle distortion on the edge of the forest. She smiled, instantly dispelling her scowl as she picked up her pace – hurrying until her senses were tingling, lighting her nerves on fire as she stood mere feet away from her goal.

Ladydevimon extended her normal arm, and held her palm towards the distortion. There was a flicker of red energy before it grew into an unstable orb, wavering in the cool air around it. A second later, she released the pent up strike, watching it fly from her to the distortion, and with a loud pop it smashed into an unseen object.

The hit seemed to stabilize the treasure, revealing its form to be nothing more than a broken pillar, with strange geometric designs all over it. It had glyphs the creature couldn’t fathom, written in a language she didn’t recognize. It gave no clue to its origins – in fact all it did, was loom over her while giving off a distinct hum.

“So, this is the portal…” She murmured, reaching out tentatively with her normal hand. She could feel her coding begin to buzz with a strange energy, something she had never felt before. “It wasn’t enough that you abandoned us,” she grimaced, eyes narrowing. “You sent something to try and destroy us.”

She glanced over her shoulder, watching as another anomaly tore open the green grass behind her – exposing a far darker world beyond. A moment later, yellow and red eyes looked towards her, numerous growls and groans emanating from the shadows.

“Well…” She growled, “Now, it’s time to return the favour.”

Hezzo RPG.

I have a returned.

Here have an RPG.

Hey, Listen! This RPG requires players to be two characters. You initially sign up as a Digimon Tamer and you PM me your digimon sign up. Please do not tell anyone the digimon you’re playing. Before the RPG starts, everyone will be randomly assigned a digimon. :3 No made up digimon please.

Hey, Look! This RPG takes place in a fictional city based in Japan called Chinatsu; it’s a thriving metropolis and is renowned as one of the cleanest, prettiest cities in the world. It will focus on a group of students at the Takahara Academy, a private school whose uniforms look similar to those worn by the characters in Final Fantasy Type-0. If you needed a reference.

* Digimon must be Rookie level *
Name: (Agumon, Patamon, etc)
Personality:
Appearance:

TAMER SIGN UP
Name: Ryou Saito
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Ryou is a mischievous, cunning trouble maker. Though the majority of his time he spends alone, the few friends he has would say he is sarcastic, with the capability of being crude and/or blunt. Ryou has an attractive charisma about him though, that often puts him in leadership roles he doesn’t always necessarily want. His patience is thin, especially with idiots and whiners – and that’s often when his sharp wit rears its ugly head. He’s smart enough to be one of the top ranked students in the school, however – he instead loafs around in class, only ever doing well enough to pass. Otherwise, he’s usually doodling in his classes, skipping them all together, or being sent to the principal’s office because he’s being rude again. Although he’s quite capable of being kind, he usually isn’t. He’ll stand up for the little guy, only to shit on him later for being such a push over.
Ryou has a good heart, but it’s buried under a parade of issues.
Appearance: Relatively tall, Ryou has a lean build on him and a faint tan (if you were to see him without a shirt on, he may look a tad underweight). His hair is a dark-grey to black and cut shaggy with odd crimson coloured irises instead of the norm. He wears four silver rings on his left hand (pinky, ring, middle and thumb), and on his right three (pointer, middle, pinky). Outside school, he’s usually seen in a black or white muscle/tank top with a grey leather vest with slightly large hood overtop with white fur on the sleeves. Pants wise, it’s always jeans for Ryou, and they’re usually some shade of blue.
History: Ryou’s family has moved twice, finally settling in Chinatsu after a few years. He lives on the poor side of town, and hides the fact that the only reason he’s going to such a prestigious academy is due to his estranged father (who works overseas) is paying the tuition. Ryou had a poor relationship with his mother, who has become something of an alcoholic in recent years. Again, Ryou often hides this by refusing to have people visit his home. It also directly reflects his attitude and behavior, having been expelled from two previous schools due to getting into very bloody fights with other students. On request from his young sister Ai, who’s barely seven – Ryou is attempting not to get into any more physical confrontations.
Relationship(s): Well, this is awkward.
Other: Merp.

TAMER SIGN UP
Name: Toko Misuto
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Personality: Toko is that popular, peppy girl everyone wants to be friends with. Though initially a bit withdrawn, Toko has a reputation of being kind-hearted and a loyal friend. Not a lot bothers her, and she has a good sense of humour. Never wanting to displease anybody, she often hides her worries and insecurities – replacing them with a smile. When her hidden frustrations hit their breaking point, Toko will often rant to one of her close friends.
Appearance: Toko is of average height, and has long brown hair often tied up a fun, funky ponytail. Her eyes are a dazzling blue, and her physical appearance is a beautiful mix of Eastern Asian and Caucasian. She has long bangs that have an attractive wave to them, and often she leaves half of her long locks down to frame her face. For wardrobe outside of school, Toko has taken the popular route of jean shorts, and a graphic babydoll tee, along with often bright, oversized sweaters.
History: Toko’s mother is from Vancouver, Canada. Initially born in Canada, Toko’s family moved to Chinatsu, Japan when she was ten. She has worked very hard to adapt to her new environment, but she often feels like an outsider due to her looks and heritage. She’s very proud of both countries in her heritage, and is happy that during summer break her family often flies back to Canada to visit her grandparents. Toko’s parents are quite wealthy but are often busy – Toko has taken on more responsibility since her parents have trusted her and don’t micromanage her life.
Relationship(s): Srsly, need friends. xD
Other: Nope?

Consider me interested. I'll try to get a sign up done later today, but first, a question. In terms of digimon, would I be right in guessing it would have to be a rookie level digimon?

Name: Yurei Kintari
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: A life of loneliness and ridacule have left Yurei somewhat jaded about humanity. He tends to keep to himself, has little to no illusions about making friends, and tends to look on any act of kindness or friendliness with wary and skeptisism. Due to years of being mocked for his albinoism and name, Yurei has developed a rather sharp wit and a bit of a smartass attitude, able to pull out a quick comeback when needed. Despite the fact that they gave him a name which translates to 'ghost', he gets along pretty well with his parents, since they're the only people who ever seemed to support him in life. He's a rather intelligent and physically fit individual, though his reasons for maintaining this level is simply to give those who mock him the metephorical middle finger. Judging by his relationship with his parents, Yurei has the potential to be a really good friend. The issue is though, is that he's never had one. Deep down, there is that small part of him that still desires to be accepted, but at the moment it's being crushed under a cynical, resigned individual. He comes off as aloof and cold to others, staying away from large groups and often sitting back when someone else is in trouble. Why bother helping someone who will just turn around and mock you anyway?
Appearance: Yurei's most outstanding feature is his albinoism. His skin is deathly pale, his long hair is a snow white, and his irises are a pale red. This combination gives him the impression of a spook (which his name does not help). He stands at roughly 6'' with a slim, yet rather toned build. If one bothered to pay attention, one would notice he has rather handsome features, though his face seems perfect for the snarky smirk and cinical frown he always wears.

Clothing wise, outside of his uniform, He wears a black jacket, left open to reveal a white undershirt. His pants are grey and somewhat baggy, held up by a black leather belt. A second belt hangs loosely over his hips for whatever reason. He wears a pair of black sneakers to finish the attire.
History: Yurei's life has not been easy, even from the day he was born. Born as an albino, and poetically named Yurei (meaning ghost) by his parents (he doesn't hold this against them. He knows they meant well), Yurei has had to content with being mocked and ridiculed (or at the very least, stared oddly) by almost everyone he meets. People often joked about him being a ghost or an evil spirit, often blaming him when bad luck struck people, and on some cases throwing fake talismans at him (an incident where a shinto priest in training actually mistook him for a spirit did NOT help matters. As a result, he tends to avoid shinto shrines). Yurei has tried everything to fit in, even dying his own hair and wearing makeup to hide his condition. Nothing worked ("Oh look, the spirit's trying to be a person!"). Eventually, Yurei just gave up. Why should he bother fitting in with these jerks? He began keeping to himself, and most importantly, began studying and working out. He became determined to make himself better than those who mocked him, not to earn the admiration, but simply to rub their noses in it. Despite his rather spiteful reason, it worked, and Yurei ended up being accepted into Takahara Academy. Still finding no acceptance in the academy, Yurei still keeps to himself, always ready to throw a quick jab at someone, and still working to make himself better than everyone else. Because screw them!
Relationship(s):
Ryou: Yurei and Ryou are not on friendly terms. The two tend to keep away from one another and any interaction between the two tends to involve insults and barbs being thrown at eachother. Some people would say they were rivals. Yurei would disagree. "No, that would involve us respecting eachother."

Toko: Yurei is somewhat cynical about her. He's encountered such preppy people in the past who've turned out to be quite cruel. As a result, he tends to keep away from her. Nobody can be THAT sweet and bubbly without having a dark side.
Other: "The next person to say "Evil spirit be gone!" gets their head slammed into a locker."

I'll get the digimon sign up to you soon. I can edit the relationships if you need me to.

13th December 2013, 02:15 AM
Name: Rin Tsuchiya
Age: 16
Gender:Female
Personality: Rin is a very chatty girl who is quick to strike up a conversation with whoever she's with. She seems incapable of doing otherwise, being easily bored and prone to wandering off in different tangents in her train of loud thought. If you do manage to get her to stop talking to you, she'll just talk or sing to herself. If she says anything rude, she might realize it a few seconds after it's already out of her mouth. Not that she is intentionally rude or mean, she just has trouble keeping her thoughts to herself. And she's pretty eager to help anyone who's willing to put up with her, to the best of her ability and then some. She doesn't know how to give up. Be patient with her though, because it takes her a while for the gears in her head to turn. But if you get on her bad side, she'll switch to a quiet, almost demonic personality in an instant.
Appearance: At 5’10” she’s taller than most girls in her class (maybe all). Her black hair goes down her back in a braid, with a bow on the end that always matches what she’s wearing. Her eyes are a shocking gold with slitted pupils (special contacts). Strangely enough she likes wearing cute skirts since her sister tells her she has the legs for it. Her ears are pierced for her small gold stud earrings.
History: She started out as kind of a runt in her early age, being picked on by the other kids. This is when she was more normal. It got worse when she started her super-awkward puberty and shot up like a weed. It was so bad she decided to adopt a demonic look and personality to keep them away, not really knowing how to fight. Her parents tried to get her to stop completely. Her older sister, who went through a similar ordeal, convinced them to meet Rin halfway and got her to tone it down.
Relationship(s): Dunno yet
Other: She thinks creepy things are cool so she tries to make herself creepy to sway others.

I shall send a Digimon sign-up to you in a bit Sie. <<U

EDIT:

Name: Daiske Wamiyazen
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Daiske in a word, is distant. Due to pushing himself to impress his father and family, he's become withdrawn. He speaks bluntly, to the point, and often makes others mad when speaking the truth. He is very skilled in both academia and athletics, being the star player in Takahara's soccer team, and reaching top marks in every class. Despite his scholarly success, he doesn't show much pleasure in such. Hiding his inner frustration and turmoil with his family under a calmer facade. Deep under this, he wants to open up. He wants to let go of the obligations he feels he needs to accomplish. But family honor binds him to his current path. If someone or something could bring him out of the self-imposed cocoon he placed himself in, he would be a loyal friend. His calm demeanor can be brought down in situations he doesn't expect, or even in conversation. As such he can be made a bit more comical when his buttons are pushed. Daiske always seems to be prepared, though reluctant to help others because he thinks strength and success can only come from the individual's drive and ability.
Appearance: Thin, athletically toned with short darker hair. His suits are clean, pressed, and always in good condition. He wears black framed glasses around dark blue eyes.
History: Born on a wonderful spring morning, Daiske was an average healthy baby boy. He just happened to be the youngest of three. His father was the owner of a large computer company, and had made his fortune years before Daiske's birth. The eldest brother was being groomed to take over the company, and his older sister had been planning her own path. However the youngest of the three, there was nothing left for Daiske. His brother would get the company as the oldest, and his sister only had to worry about the families honor. There was nothing for him to inherit. No matter how hard he studied, or how well he did, there would be nothing for him.

Even such, he dived into his studies. Passionately striving to earn something from his father. Some recognition other than being another mouth to feed. His marks were high and he excelled in sports as well. As the years went on, he became more critical. The passion that he threw into his studies had dwindled to routine, and then to frustration. Frustrated that no matter how hard he tried, he could never impress his father. And yet, even if he wanted to, he couldn't stop. Somewhere in his mind, he still thinks he can impress his family and show his worthiness. Whether or not that's possible, remains to be seen.
Relationship(s): Daiske is distant, but he has been made to work with others. He treats everyone equally, and is very observant of character traits. When approached he'll often prefer to be alone, however he tolerates Rin Tsuchiya more than others. Even generating more than a few word sentences with the hyperactive goth.

Family:
Father: Kamchi Wamiyazen - stern, demanding, and the one who brought the family up. The relationship is strained and the two don't talk much, except in short exchanges.
Mother: Setsuna Wamiyazen - Caring, but also busy with helping their father manage the buisness and finances of the home. Good relationship.
Brother: Denisu Wamiyazen - Active, energetic, exact opposite of Daiske. He doens't deny that he will get the buisness because he was born first, but still worked hard for that honor. Treats Daiske as his younger brother, playfully goading him and getting on his nerves.
Sister: Ako Wamiyazen - Older than Daiske, she has a soft, gentle outlook and cares for her younger brother. Of all the family she is one he is able to open up to more.
Other: His family is rich, but he doesn't flaunt the success. He brings his own lunches to school, having made them himself. He is a believer in that you have to work for everything you get, mostly to do with his self-imposed path. He's considered one of the school's idols and his calm demeanor, intelligence, and athleticism has garnered him a lot of attention and deluded rivalries with others. His marks have been high, but not as high as his brother's.
