TGIF normally stands for Thank God/Goodness It's Friday.

I mentioned TGIF earlier today at the foundation place I go to on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and one person mentioned TGIF standing for "thank goodness I'm female"...it's funny how an abbreviation can stand for so many different things.
