USAopoly announced at the recent 2014 American International Toy Fair that a new Pokemon themed edition of Monopoly has been planned to be released later this year in September. Interestingly enough, the game will be based on the Kanto region instead of the new Kalos region featured in Pokemon X and Y. The manufacturer's suggested retail price will be set around $45.00.

Didn't they already make one of these before? I seem to remember seeing a copy in a store when Pokemon first came out around 2000. It wasn't the board game with the round POG like discs because I distinctly remember seeing the board pictured on the box with a Jigglypuff on one of the spaces.

Funny, I was thinking the same thing. And Google says yes.

^I thought so. I remember wanting this game but at the time my family wasn't supportive of me playing video games or even liking Pokemon for some odd reason....

This won't make me understand or play Monopoly, sorry.

Last time I tried to play Monopoly I endangered my friendships because I wasn't able to find out how to win the game. I guess it's one of those games every player has to be serious about or else nobody enjoys playing it.
