View Full Version : [X/Y] Post-game things to do?

I finally beat Pokemon X and have checked out Kiloude City. It didn't impress me much (The Battle Tower/Subway/whatever places typically don't interest me.).

What else is there to do in post-E4 Pokemon X/Y? I remember there's a blocked cave in the Terminus mineshaft and I'm guessing the Lost Hotel and Chamber of Emptiness have stuff I haven't seen yet... Is there anything else to find/discover?

There's Friend safari, the battle maison, battling online/trading and I think that's it other than iv breeding. Oh and shiny hunting in the safari.

^You forgot about the Pokemon Radar as well.

So if you're a friendless shut-in hermit like me, there's nothing to do.

Thanks.

Poke Radar is a bit fun. It is easier to use this time especially with the false patches.

Actually, there's a few things to do post-game even if you don't have masses of friends to use with the Friend Safari. Not only are there all of the Battle [insert building here], but if you go to the Battle Maison in Kiloude City and do at least ONE battle and quit, your rival will appear near the pond at the highest point in town. After battling, she will give you Absolite and will tell you that Prof. Sycamore can upgrade your Mega Ring. You can battle your rival here once per day, but you can also head to Anistar to the sundial to find Sycamore, who will do the upgrade, allowing you to scour Kalos for more Mega Stones, but they will only respond and appear to the Mega Ring between 8 and 9pm, when the sundial is active. They're all over the place, including in towns, dungeons, and given by people.

You can also go to Terminus cave and fight/catch Zygarde, the 3rd legendary in this region (waits with baited breath for Pokemon Z, based around Zygarde), as well as completing the Pokedex. Completing the Kalos Dex will net you an Egg Charm, which lets Eggs spawn sooner at the Day Care and completing the National Dex nets you the Shiny Charm, which increases the chance of hatching/finding wild Shiny Pokemon!

That's a bit more what I was looking for. Thank you.

Of course! I am here to serve! It's been a while since I've been on the forums, but just because I've been gone doesn't mean I can neglect to share my own knowledge!

You can try EV training for fun, and Wonder Trade away the ones that don't fit the bill. You can then just Wonder Trade lots and accrue lots of Pokedex entries in foreign languages... along with a crapton of Bidoofs and various Stage 0 bug Pokemon.

*Seriously, I've been Wonder Trading away atheist, insufficient Porygon all morning and I've gotten more Bidoofs than all others combined, and probably about 80% either Bidoof or female Wobbuffet. Sent away the Porygon, just got a Scatterbug or whatever, sent it away, got Caterpie. Sent Caterpie, got female Wobbuffet. Sent female Wobbuffet, got a Japanese female Wobbuffet. Sent her away, got ANOTHER Japanese female Wobbuffet.
