TPM has been a HUGE factor in guiding me to this point, bigger than most here realize. When I first got here, I was a nervous 16-year-old kid with a story about a paralyzed Gary Stu and hopes that readers would be kinder to it than I was being. Among the pairs of eyes that were drawn to it were those of my fiancée. We didn't come into contact until some time after TPM went down, but she eventually e-mailed me to say that she had enjoyed Against All Odds thoroughly while it had been posted here, and wanted to know where she could find more. She wasn't my first fan, but she certainly became my biggest.
TPM is an undeniable link in what has become a shared story for us. It's what helped to bring us together, across 1300 miles of distance and through 8 years of joy, despair, laughter, tumult, and everything in between. And now we're ready to commit our lives to each other.
