I enjoyed the movie. I thought the action was good and the Luke/Rey scenes were some of the best scenes.
Despite liking the Luke/Rey scenes, I was surprised by how he was portrayed in the movie. He's usually depicted as never giving up and always hoping for the best, so seeing him giving up and going into hiding as punishment was odd but it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the movie.
I really enjoyed Luke's confrontation with the First Order on Crait. The scene with him shrugging off all that cannon fire was great.
I do have to question what the point of Captain Phasma was? Despite being heavily promoted in the first movie, she did very little. Then they promoted her more for this movie, even giving her a comic series and a novel, yet she had an even smaller role in this movie and dies at the end. Everything she did in both movies could have been done by random Stormtroopers, which is why I question the point of the character.
