Getting caught in an anime recommended by a friend

This happened to me with Hetalia in 2011 or so. I don't know if I had learnt about the anime without my two friends who were talking about it.

I also learnt about Kimetsu no Yaiba via DragoKnight.

Any stories like this?

A friend got me into Fairy Tale but then he stopped watching so I ended up having no to talk to about the show.

Fairy Tale is on my list to watch, but I have yet to start it. This is my usual problem, I don't have enough hours in my day.
