Today I was watching Jimmy Neutron on YTV and a message poped up saying: Pokemon season finale Friday at 4pm! You know what this means? We'll get to Casey and Elekid on Friday and Master Quest will be over!

Wow, Master Quest was one of the shortest seasons. But at least we have Advance to look forward to.

Wait, will they call the Silver Convention eppies Pokemon Advance?

Team Rocket's Lugia

I think, maybe they'll start a new season like Silver Convention or something! Or maybe they can just start AG, and do what MQ did with the whirl cup.

I never understood 'Master Quest'. I just wish 4Kids would stay consistent and just refer to it as 'Johto'. It's so confusing as every event, whether it be minor or major, has it's own name.

Actually, we'll also find out this week if Ice Cave is banned. If it isn't, it airs this week, out of order. But if it is, you don't end on "Kasey and Elekid", but you end on "Try Your Best, Larvitar"

Zak is right. I hope The Ice Cave doesn't get banned. A Jynx hypnotising Brock to fall in love with her isn't that bad.

Also, I hope to God they won't make a seperate title for The Silver Convention episodes, the whole thing is about 12 episodes long.

Wow, Master Quest went by fast... Johto League Champions seemed to last forever... Well, can't wait till AG starts here! ^^

JLC and MQ seemed to go fast cause there were not a lot of episodes shown in them, making 150-200 episodes into 3 different shows is kinda hard.

Australia will get up to the Ice Cave episode by Friday, if Cheez TV does not air it, YTV does not air it and Kids WB! does not air it. It will be a lost episode for sure.

Master Quest was not the shortest series of Pokemon since all series of Pokemon have 52 episodes each.

Series 6 of Pokemon will have final 13 episodes of Master Quest and the first 39 episodes of Advance Generation

The episode of Pokémon: Master Quest known in Japan as The Ice Cave is not being shown on top American children's network, Kids WB.

The reason behind the banning is because Brock NEARLY kisses a Jynx, while hypnotised. Nothing like this has happened since the first season, so it will come as a shock to fans.

Luckily, no landmark events happen in the episode, which should have aired on the 31st of May. Kids WB is showung the next episode in it's place, Beauty is Skin Deep. It is rumored the episode may be aired later in the year, possibly summer.

Does that answer any questions?

If They DO Ban The Ice Cave Episode, Then It Will Be Ironic That Brock Was Allowed To Be In Love With A Illusion A Ninetales Made And Was Under A Trance.

What?? The episode's banned/postponed because Brock almost kisses a Jynx??? That, is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my life. It's a kiss for cryin' out loud! A shock... I'm so tired of hearing about how kids can't handle things. There's more kissing on Hey Arnold! than there is on Pokemon.

It's probably going back to the fact that jynx "looks like a black woman who sells herself (hookewr)...". It might give the kiddie the impression that kerb-crawling is okay....... *Yet another over-dramatisation on the american part.........*

No offense to the good folks over there... but you do have a tendance to put you're morals at such a high standard.............. Your just so easily offended....

4Kids should just look around. Some kids sneak into their parents room and watch pornography for crying out loud! Brock nearly kissing a Jynx is not gonna make kids go out and do bad stuff!

Wait! The Ice Cave episode is the episode where Brock meets up with that ancestor of his? Kid's WB pisses me off yet again. (You don't want to know what they did to piss me off the first time. You'll just think I'm crazy.) I would march and protest against Kid's WB but I'd need dozens of fans who share my opinion, a chainsaw, a stereo system, and a copy of the DK64 soundtrack so I can torture them by making them listen to the DK Rap on a repeated loop. (And every darn Nintendo fan who's played said game knows how horrid the DK Rap can be right?) And I sure don't have any chainsaw. (For getting past the guards)

There is no episode where Brock meets up with an ancestor. The 200 year old Ninetales episode had a guy that looked a lot like Brock who lived 200 years ago but there were no indications that they were related.

The Ice Cave episode is entirely different, and I'm quite certain it was NOT banned because Brock fell in love with a Jynx. The fact is Jynx has a bad reputation because she supposedly exemplifies a negative stereotype toward African American women (big lips, wide hips). This is so bad in fact that Nintendo recolored Jynx's face in the games to help avoid criticism.

While Jynx has appeared in past episode perhaps 4Kids decided it wasn't worth the risk of showing it again.

And yes, Master Quest was not any shorter than Johto Champions or other past seasons were. Perhaps it only seemed shorter because the episodes as a whole were of a higher quality than in past seasons.

Bad news. The Ice Cave episode didn't show in Australia either. So, I guess it's the fourth banned episode.

First of all, Canada doesn't show "Ice Cave" episode. Second, U.S.A. won't. Now, Austrailia doesn't show that episode. I guess it is up to England to show that episode. If not, I want this to be shown in any minor countries that speaks English.

Uh, if it hasn't been dubbed (which is seeming very likely) then no one can show it. Sorry to disappoint, Clockenstein.

Now that I think about it, KidsWB might have altogether banned any episode with Jynx in it because it supposedly is a stereotype of black women. When they aired the Road to Indigo saga back in January of last year (2002), Holiday Hi-Jynx was skipped. Snow Way out was shown however. And I also recall that Cartoon Network never showed the episode either, but also did show Snow Way Out. Might be another episode that is banned, one that aired and was released on tape, but will never be showed on TV again...

if it's like the Indigo league("Indigio League Challenge" I believe. They hyped it HUGE...they showed profiles of the trainers competing the week before, they replayed the episodes every day after, and they had the WBs other shows stars pop in the introduce the the trainers...surprisingly they pronounced the names right. I think the kid from 7th Heaven was the one to announce Mandy: "Mandys Pokemon(pronounced right o_o) are Exeggutor(pronouned right), and Seadra..." and then he goes on to explain who Ash currently has that would be a good choice(mentioned Krabby and Squirtle) I believe. They might do the same with the silver convention.

They do, TMM.

We do see the profiles of the Pokemon before hand, as well as the trainers, so expect the best!

That's great. I mean, as much as I'd like to sit and listen to talking socks belch out their name inbetween commercials I think I'd enjoy this a little bit more. Call me crazy.

No I meant during the episode, Ash during the episode checks out the trainer info, not during the commercial.

Sorry for getting ur hopes high. :(

Yes, they do. Still, do all the seasons have the same amount of eppys? Cause the Indigo season had VERY few fillers, with really only one loong filler section, between Fushcia City and Cinnibar Island. But, the Johto Journeys had about ten episode between each gym battle! God that lasted too long...

Man, I can't believe this. I'm sorry, but the way everyone censors crap makes me sick. If it has something different in it (like Jynx) they think that they're trying to do something or whatever and cancel it or whatever.
Also, if they won't show that because of Jynx, then why do they show the DBZ episodes with Mr. Popo? Isn't that supposedly discrimination too? (Don't get me wrong DBZ fans, I -love- DBZ. o_o) *sighs*
I hope I haven't made anyone mad or whatever, I needed to rant on the censorship. ^__^;

Oh, what were the other episodes that were banned? I can't remember what they were, so if someone can tell me the titles, please do!

The difference is that Johto was not one season but several.

Don't worry guys. I've seen twenty-eight of the Hoenn episodes, and they're as refreshing as Kanto. We have different settings: cities, rivers, forests, forests, etc. No more generic forest and mountain area like EVERY DAMN JOHTO EPISODE. :o

The storylines are as refreshing, and there are like, zero or two fillers, depending on what you consider a filler. I'd seriously say that there are zero fillers.

Well, cause the dubbers think that a Jynx almost kissing Brock is evil and satanic, and also that a Jynx that resembles an African American woman is racial.

In Japan, they don't care. Jynx is not supposed to be a stereotype.

Well here are the reasons these were banned outside Japan (and in Japan as well in one case). The Jynx one was already explained.

Beauty and the Beach - halfway banned
Banned due to James getting a little "too" girly in his crossdressing. i.e he wears fake, very large, ummm... you can probably guess, and enters the swimsuit/Pokemon talent contest with Jessie. He also squeezes them in front of a traumatized Misty (who proceeds to weep as he says she won't have them for another five years or something like that).

It ended up being shown as a special here in the US but the aforementioned scene was edited out.

The Legend of Dratini - banned in US and other countries
This is the episode where Ash captured all his Tauros. It was banned due to the warden being far too gun-happy. That is he shoots at the twerps, Team Rocket and holds a gun to Ash's head (all just threats of course). It was deemed too violent for the group they aimed Pokemon at here.

Electric Soldier Porygon - banned everywhere (in Japan as well)
The episode that made Pokemon infamous by an explosion of blinking light at the end of the episode that sent around six hundred Japanese kids to hospitals with epilectic (sp?) seizures. Has since then been banned world wide despite the fact that the problem with the lights was easily fixed.

Hanada Tattsu
19th June 2003, 04:34 PM
Yeah, and the Japanese Government has kept it in a top-secret location, so that the United States and no other country can ever dub it. It sent 500 children to hospitals in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, as well as in other major Japanese cities.
