Almost anyone who has seen a Hylian Shield wonders at the fourth, separate triangle below the Triforce. Is it merely a fluke? Simple adornment, perhaps? Nobody can be sure...

The truth is, that the three Goddesses – Din, of wind and power, Nayru, of water and wisdom, and Farore, of nature and courage – had a brother: Yvynn (is pronounced EE-vin), God of darkness and chaos. The Triforce, commonly depicted as three triangles forming a larger one, with an upside-down gap in the middle, was once a whole triangle, with each section taking on the hue of its maker’s power (red for Din on top, blue for Nayru on the bottom-left, green for Farore on the bottom-right, black for Yvynn at the center). However, the tale of the universe’s creation was twisted through Hylian legend...

Once the siblings had departed, Yvynn, seeing the divine peace created by his sisters, aspired to desecrate the world with shadows. Nayru, discovering this, warned her sisters of their brother’s plot. Together, the Goddesses sealed away their brother in the underworld, disuniting Yvynn’s section of the Triforce. The Triforce of Chaos shattered as it descended onto Hyrule, its twelve shards scattering across the land.

~‘’~‘’~‘’~‘’~‘’~

It is currently mid-June, in the reign of Their Majesties King Zechial III and Queen Lanaden. One of the king’s advisors has stumbled upon an ancient scroll containing the legend in full, from the sibling’s descension to the scattering of the shards of the Triforce of Chaos. Scrawled across the bottom of the scroll are words in ancient Hylian. When translated by a linguist, it reads:

“Seeketh thee the Chaos Shards, and all thine desires shall be fulfilled.”

The king, intrigued, has posted a flier in every inn, pub, and restaurant in Hyli, Kakariko, and Kildon, proclaiming the following:

Warriors wanted!

All who be stout of heart and pure of mind are summoned to the palace within the week. Your quest shall be discussed on Thursday the next.

His Royal Highness, King Zechial Hyrule III

At the same time, a large, black bird has been seen carrying letters off to certain people...

A few things before the form... This takes place 1000 years after OoT. The bird is how the Darks receive word of the Shards of Chaos. The Lights and Rogues find out from the flier. The Shards have power similar to the Triforce, where, when they are all found, the heart of the one who touches the whole piece is reflected upon the world (i.e., if an evil dude touches it, they will rule the world or have it destroyed or whatever, or if a good guy touches it, then there will be world peace and blah, blah, blah). The good guys must try and find it before the bad guys, and the bad guys try to get it for their own designs. You can find a shard anywhere, but PM me first with a short mini-dungeon to go through before you find the shard. Nine are available for finding wherever, but three are not. One will be at the very top of Death Mountain, and has been found already by my character, Zander. Another is at the bottom of Lake Lana, a lake found in the middle of the Kokiri Forest, named for Queen Lanaden. The third of these is found in the center of a whirlpool of sand, at the edge of the Haunted Wasteland.

There are new towns, too. The town of Hyli was built upon the ruins of the old Castle Town shortly after Ganondorf was sealed away in the Sacred Realm. Kildon was built a few decades later just north of Lon Lon Ranch, and is mostly a town of merchants.

Form:

~Name: If it’s spelled weird, please provide a pronunciation.
~Age: 8+, can be however old. Variety, please, people.
~Gender: ...
~Race: Can be anything from OoT/MM/Maybe others, but ask first.
~Alignment: Light (good), Dark (evil), or Rogue (undecided)
~Looks: ...
~Personality: ...
~Wish: What would happen, were you to obtain the Triforce of Chaos? In other words... Why are you looking for the Shards?
~Powers/Abilities: This does NOT include magic; this would be like, I dunno, high speed, amazing power, etc. Don’t go overboard, ‘k?
~Magic: Just put general stuff, like that you’re a fire mage or whatever.
–Spells: Put what individual spells you can do.
~Weapons: Be realistic; make sure it can all fit on your character.
~Armor: This includes shields, vambraces, magic amulets and pendants, armor, etc.
~Allies: This is mostly who you travel with, but can include NPCs and just people you know.
~Rivals: Who do ya’ hate?
~History: This is NOT a required field, people.
~Other:

You may have three cards of whatever alignment.

~Name: Aleksander (prefers to be called Zander)
~Age: Unknown, but is in early 30's.
~Gender: M
~Race: Hylian
~Alignment: Dark
~Looks: Quite tall and thin, and wears all black. Black shirt under a black tunic, black pants, black Dodongo-skin boots, and a black cape. He also wears leather gauntlets that go halfway up his forearms and leave the backs of his hands bare. He has spiky red-blonde hair and piercing blue eyes, and a scar cuts down his right cheek. He wears a silver hoop earring in his left ear.
~Personality: Cold and heartless, and very good at getting what he wants. He often remains aloof, and can fake almost anything. He prefers to have minions do his work rather than get his hands dirty.
~Wish: To throw all of Hyrule into chaos, then rule it.
~Powers/Abilities: Very good at sleight-of-hand, and can be very persuasive. He can fly for some ways, but not very long distances. He can also see in the dark.
~Magic: Is a master at illusions and spectral (concealing, like with fog and stuff) magic. He also has dark magic, to some extent.
–Spells:
Conceal: He can magically veil himself/others from view. This can be dispelled via the Lens of Truth.
Guise: Can change the appearance of himself or others, voice included. Again, it can be dispelled with the Lens of Truth.
Fog: Creates a smokescreen of thick, black smoke.
Shadow: Can make a room or small area completely dark for some time.
Yami Ray: Fires a black-and-purple beam about the diameter of a quarter.
Darkness Nova: Creates a huge orb of dark energy, which is hurled at the opponent.
~Weapons: A broadsword with a dusk-black blade called Twilight, daggers in hilts at his waist and ankles, and a pair of Mithril chains kept in his pockets that grow spikes at his command.
~Armor: His gauntlets are enchanted to be harder than dragon scales, and he carries around a small obsidian pendant that wards off Light magic. If the pendant is even slightly cracked, or if it is stolen, the effect is negated.
~Allies: None. He's evil. Muhahaha!
~Rivals: Pretty much everybody who's not evil. Especially King Zechial. *grr*
~History: Zander was the advisor that discovered the legend of the Chaos Shards. Shortly afterwards, however, he was wrongly tried of bedding the Queen, and sentenced to death. While in the small, musty chamber, awaiting the executioner, he began to read a chant that gave to him stunning powers of illusion. The spell complete, he switched identities with the guard outside his door, escaping while the poor fool was the one to receive punishment. Zander now aspires to obtain the Chaos Shard and wreak revenge upon his former friend who had accused him of something he had not done.

He has sent out a bird to carry letters to all the Darks, summoning them to his citadel atop Death Mountain, where he found the first Chaos Shard.
~Other: Yo. Sup.

~Name: Serle
~Age: 368 (!!) (looks like a little kid)
~Gender: M
~Race: Deku
~Alignment: Rogue
~Looks: Identity is hidden by a long (to him, anyway o.O) dark green cloak. He resembles Deku Link, only the leaves that serve him as hair are red-brown, and his eyes glow bright green. Underneath the cloak, he wears naught but a loincloth XD
~Personality: Illusive, and it takes a lot to gain his trust. He is fast-talking, and uses it to his advantage. He's a big gambler, but often has trouble getting into the casinos because of his young appearance.
~Wish: To be un-cursed, and finally die after all those years... Yeah, pretty selfish, ain't he? XD
~Powers/Abilities: Well, obviously, he's immortal, if you haven't guessed (immortal as in he doesn't age; he CAN be killed!). He has the power to act really cute and get whatever he wants o.O
~Magic: He is a formidable earth mage, and can use a small amount of healing magic as well.
–Spells:
Quake: Creates an earthquake, duh.
Stone Slinger: Fires a volley of sharp, pointy rocks from his snout.
Impale: A spire of rock stabs from ground/floor/ceiling/walls/whatever.
Ragnarok: A giant stone sword appears, and at a gesture stabs the opponent.
Wall: Creates a stone wall or dome.
Heal: Can recover from minor injuries. Can be cast on others.
~Weapons: A pair of curved katanas with silver blades and stone hilts, a blowgun and poison darts, and a deck of cards that burst into flames when thrown. He also carries a pair of six-sided dice.
~Armor: He does that thing Deku Link does, where he crouches down and a wooden shield covers him.
~Allies: Is good friends with Heilaei (calls him Hei cuz his full name is too much of a mouthful)
~Rivals: Not really...
~History: He was once just an average Kokiri boy living in the forest that was his home, until one day he got lost in the Lost Woods. He stumbled upon to Boko Tree, archenemy of the Deku Tree. The ancient tree, outraged that a child of the forest had found his hollow, cursed Serle, making him live forever as a Deku boy.

Serle, devastated, left the forest. Unable to find anyone who would befriend a Deku for over three centuries, Serle had almost given up, until he met Hei on one of his travels.
~Other: Ooh...

~Name: Gonadon (or just Gona)
~Age: 9
~Gender: M
~Race: Gerudo
~Alignment: Light
~Looks: Short, even for a little kid, with messy red hair and very tanned skin. His eyes are a startling orange-red, and he has an orange gem planted into his forehead. He wears a plain, tattered tan tunic, white baggy pants, and sandals.
~Personality: Very shy, and prefers to let other people do the talking. He is a very brave kid, but not to the point of being reckless.
~Wish: To repent for his ancestor's sins, and bring peace and glory to Hyrule.
~Powers/Abilities: He is an expert thief and pickpocket, and can fly short distances.
~Magic: He is a powerful fire mage, astonishing for a boy his age.
–Spells:
Flame Flare: Creates a large fireball, accompanied by a bright flash.
Fire Wall: A wall of fire springs from the ground.
Fireball: Obvious.
Cinder: Burning rocks fall from the sky.
Volcan: Lave spurts up from the ground.
~Weapons: A shining silver-and-gold sword that seems much to large for the small boy, but is handled with great ease. He carries several daggers hidden about his person, and a pouch filled with smoke bombs hangs at his waist.
~Armor: A small silver-and-gold shield emblazoned with teh Gerudo star-and-moon symbol.
~Allies: Lukaro
~Rivals: No...
~History: He is the only living descendant of Ganondorf. He was raised in the desert by his mother, until, when he was eight, she died in a sandstorm. Having learned of his family's history by his dying mother, he set out to correct the wrongs of the past. On the way, he ran into Lukaro, and they decided to join forces.
~Other: La...

Here's the starters for both alignments.

Light/Rogue Starter:

A lone man, clothed in the robe of the king's advisors [Zander], looked through the shelves and shelves of books that lined the library walls. His hand rested upon a scroll, tucked idly between a pair of leather-bound books. Curious, he gently pulled out the ancient script, and at first glance it seemed completely unreadable. Squinting, he recognized the strange runes as Ancient Hylian. He took the scroll to a linguist, who deciphered it.

It told of a time before time, when the Goddesses were creating Hyrule. It told of a brother to Din, Nayru, and Farore: Yvynn, God of Chaos. It told of the Triforce of Chaos, how it shattered into a dozen Shards that were strewn across Hyrule. There was something scribbled across the bottom, something that was not part of the original manuscript. It read,

“Seeketh thee the Chaos Shards, and all thine desires shall be fulfilled.”

The advisor was intrigued. He took the scroll to the king, who ordered fliers put out, requesting adventurers who could find the Shards of Chaos.

Warriors wanted!

All who be stout of heart and pure of mind are summoned to the palace within the week. Your quest shall be discussed on Thursday the next.

His Royal Highness, King Zechial Hyrule III

Dark Starter:

A lone figure, garbed in black [Zander again XD] stood atop a peak of Death Mountain. In his hand he held something gold, something that seemed to glitter with darkness. Cold, blue eyes were cast over the land below.

“So it begins...” came a barely-audible whisper as the figure watched people from various races heading towards Hyli. A lone crow squawked nearby before landing on his shoulder. The figure whispered something to the bird before holding up a small stack of letters. He gave the crow orders to send one each to people called Gel, Dark Sol, Segiro, Ojiri Kahri, and Flare and Glacier. The letter read:

“To Whom It May Concern:

Go to the tavern at Hyli. The rewards will be great. The rest will be explained there. Show up, or you will die. I know where to find you.”

I’ll post for my cards later.

I added some spells to both my forms, since I hadn't before, and everyone else had. Also I saw DarkLink's sign up form for a Dark Zora who uses Ice and Dark magic. That's going to be fun. What with my Dark character having a great hatred of the Zoras, and also having Dark and Ice magic. >:D

Name: Kuakurai (Koo-Ah-Ko-Rai)
Age: 90 (which is relativly young)
Gender: Male
Species: Subrosian
Description: Like a Subrosian is generally seen (though not often by most) he wears a full length, body covering red robe, hooded to hide all but his flourescent red eyes. Beneath the gown, is the body of a Subrosian that has never been revelaed (and now come my creative liscense). His body is thin and reptilian with dark brown scaled skin. His eyes are large, also reptilian but glow with a brilliant white flouresence. His hands and feet have only 3 apendages, each are clawed, with a larger talon at the back of the wrist and ankle.
Personality: For a person who's species is practically unknown to the world he is very defenceive and shy. He worms his way out of things quickly and is good at avoiding the big issues. He is loyal and dedicated, but it takes alot of work to break through his outer shell of fear and paranoia
Dream: To return his people to their former home above ground (see History, which includes creative liscend backstory for the Subrosian Species :D)
Skills: Very resiliant to heat, sharp claws, keen sense of smell
Weapons: Aside from his sharp claws, a pair of short swords (about a foot in length, no more than that)
Armor: Doesn't need any. His skin is very tough and resiliant, having lived in a lava filled cavern for much of his life.
Magic: A few fire spells, nothing much, just to heat things, or create small fires.
Combustion - Creates a small flame in his hand
Radiate - Creates a glowing orb that radiates heat
History: Long ago, the Subrosian people lived above ground, in a vast city behind Death Mountain. They were a race looked upon with some fear because of the way they looked, and so faced many dangers when they left to sel goods, that they were forced to wear large gowns that hid their faces. When a violent volcanic eruption shook the mountain, the earth cracked and the Subrosian race sank into the depths of the world. They were considered all but destroyed, with only a few relics and artifacts remaining as any evidence they existed. The Subrosians were infact, perfectly safe, albiet a few cuts and brusies, but their city was now deep underground, in a volcanic cavern.

In time, the Subrosian race was all but forgotten about, apart from a few obscure references in Goron Literature. The race thrived below ground, maintaining their way of life, undeterred by outside influence. Further volcanic activity revealed small warp points that would push those who stepped into them, back up into the core of Death Mountain, where the outside world of Hyrule was accesible. Many Subrosians left to explore during a time, whereupon they never returned. Kuakurai was one of them. He traveled the land of Hyrule, etching out a meger life as a merchant dealing in goods to rouges and travelers. Living in fear of attacks from those scared of his appearence, he found the flier and decided (against his better judgement) that it would be a chance to return home.
Other: Kuakurai doesn't reveal that he's a Subrosian to anyone. He tells people he meets, that he is a Hylian, suffering from a disorder that mean exposure to light hurts his skin, hence the shadowy robe and the raspy voice.

Kuakurai (m) Subrosian Rouge

It's been three months now. Hiding beneath crates of food and drink in the basement of an Inn in the city of Kildon. In a place full of traveler's merchants, people who are different, unusual, some even scary, yet, it is I who is the outcast, even amongst these strangers. It's because I am of a species unheard of in this new Hyrule for many many years. I don't know exactly how long Subrosia has been hidden from Hyrule, but ten years before my birth, darkness raveged this land and many of my people left to help battle it. They never returned. I fear I know what happened to them. When I first arrived in this new land, I was refered to as a Lizalfos. I saw a few drawungs of these beasts, and noted their resemblance to my own species. In the darkness, I fear my people became monsters. That is one of the reasons, that I know etch out a megre life selling things to strangers and living in dirt.

Last night, I was out wandering the town. There was a alrge celebration. A fest I think, where most merchants had been invited to, after the return of one of the most well known. I, of course, was not invited. But the barren town now gave me a chance to stretch my legs, find a decent meal, and try to find some more things to buy and sell. A poster, recently stuck on a door caught my attention. I stopped to read it, carefully looking around to make sure no one was watching me.

Warriors wanted!

His Royal Highness, King Zechial Hyrule III

Quest? Against my better judgement, this sounds like a chance to get out of this rat infested hole and actually do something. Against my better judgement of course. MY better judgement would tell me to ingore it. Go back to the Inn, pull a blanket over my head and sit out the day until the next chance to have a good meal came along. But it seemed that night, my better judgement was not with me.

Another quick glance around, and I had torn the poster from the door, shoved it under my cloak and hurried back to the Inn. I quickly collected my belongings and headed out of the town. I passed an old man on my way. I knew him, he was the owner of one of the taverns. Fortunatly, he was one of the few who didn't know my true identity.
"You heading out of town Cloak?" He asked.

I had taken on the nickname 'Cloak'. I had to wear a red cloak to hide my features. I told people I was Hylian, and I had a skin disorder that made light burn my skin. Most of them bought it.
"Yes. I have.. business out of town." I hurried out as quick as I could.

~

That.. was last night. Tonight, I've found myself resting the night in the farmhouse of Lon Lon Ranch. And no, i'm not in the Guest house as most would be, I am hiding myself in one of the storage sheds. I had to break into it. It doesn't look like anyone come sinto it anymore. So it's a good place to sleep out the next few nights before I go to the palace.

Name: Segiro (Se-Gi-Ro)
Age: 100 (plus 500)
Gender: Male
Species: Ice Goron
Description: Take Durania as your base looks. Change colour composition to a deep brown, like volcanic rock. Body is scarred with battle wounds and cuts. Hair is wilder, longer and silver in colour. Down his back are spikes. Across both his arms are silvery blue coils, that stretch from his wrists to his shoulders. On his hands are Iron Gauntlets
Personality: Cold, would be ironic, but true. Years of living in a frozen stasis (see history) has made him even more bitter of others than he once was. Has no remorse for his actions, nor does he have and reason for most things he does. His very soul is plauged with darkness.
Dream: To subject Hyrule to the harshest of colds and freeze it forever.
Skills: Brute Strength, Can survive under water for up to 2 hours without a need to resurface
Weapons: Skull Hammer
Armor: The coils wrapped around his arms provide him with an armor.
Magic: A number of Ice Spells, and some Dark Spells
Veil - Creates a freezing cold air that can be controlled by thought
Freeze - Basic enough, it freezes things
Drain - Drains all the heat from something, freezing it. Not the same as Freeze
Various Dark spells I can't think of.
History: The only living decendant of an ancient and unknown race of Ice Gorons. Ice Gorons were once regular Gorons who lived deep beneath the Ice Caverns, drawing off what little heat from the earth they could. They evolved over time into Thick skinned Gorons who could resist cold temperatures and moisture.

Segiro, was imprisoned by the Ice Gorons in a block of Red Ice. He became a perfect living statue, frozen in time for his crimes. Killing, deception, worshiping the darkness. As the world grew hotter, and the Ice Gorons died out Segiro remained trapped in the unmelting Red Ice, until a freak occurance in nature caused an eruption of Blue Fire. The damage was done, and the Ice melted, Segiro was released.

Bracing himself for a new world he stepped out into Zora's Domain and at once began his reign of terror, killing Zora's who strayed to close to the forbidden Ice Caverns. With the best Zora Warriors after him, he was forced to retreat away and hide. He is know in a cave near Lake Hylia, near a fresh water stream that provides him with the coolness he requires. As a Mountain Goron would be at disease in the cold, he is hurt by the warm.

Segiro (m) Dark Ice Goron

“To Whom It May Concern:

Go to the tavern at Hyli. The rewards will be great. The rest will be explained there. Show up, or you will die. I know where to find you.”

I crushed the letter into my hand, before dropping it into the pool of water before me, whereupon it floated down various waterfalls and out into the Lake Hylia. This cave was so dark, damp and full of ice cold water, it was almost like home. Almost. The retched stench of the outdoors filled me with every breath I took. The water was so clean, so pure, having flowed straight from the Zora Domain. Such vile creatures the Zora were, living in the water as if it were theirs and their only. In time, they will know the Segiro, for it will be the last name they ever know.

This letter was unexpected. Being forced to live in this small cave at the edge of the lake was demeaning enough, without being threatend by wanna-be villians. I fear no one, I have experienced living death and no idle threats will move me to do anything I do not wish to. I wonder, were there others that this note was sent to? I know of no one in this aged world, they are all fresh, daring... small. Hmm. Perhaps there was one. What was his name? Sul? Not that it matters. I'd imagine he was dead by now.

The prospect of great rewards interest me greatly though. I wonder, what would be so great that a gathering of dark souls would be required?

I reached for my cloak and wrapped it around my head and body. There aren't many Goron's these days with long silver hair and dark rock bodies. Hylia is a fair distance away to walk, I'd have to endure the sun for some time. This god forsaken world will know the true feeling of the cold when I'm through with it. Then I won't ever have to cool myself to walk in the day. I wisped a Veil of cold air around me, holding it close to my body with magic, and stepped out of the cave. I began my walk to the new town.

Made some more details, nothing story altering.

~Name: Hielaie (High lee ay)
~Age: 19
~Gender: M
~Race: Zora
~Alignment: Rogue
~Looks: Has red hair, unusual for a Zora, and his arm fin/things are bright yellow. Wears a blue version of the kilt/thing Link wears when wearing the Zora mask. It's said that the pirates from MM got ahold of him when he was young, and used their dyes on him for sport, leaving him permanantly discolored. Basically, Zora Link with the above changes.
~Personality: A daredevil, and a great friend. Loves to swim,(Duh) and hates pirates.
~Wish: He wishes to eradicate the pirates that screwed up his DNA so much.
~Powers/Abilities: While at the pirate's fortress, they used him for experiments. He changes gender unexpectedly, but reverts back after a few days(He usually stays male for the same amount of time). He doesn't look too different in this form, just female, ie the obvious. He always keeps a shirt nearby because of this. Transforming is extremly painful, and his wretched screams can be heard for miles around.
~Magic: He has a small amount of control over water.
–Spells: He can create a creature out of water, but it falls apart fast.
~Weapons: a boomerang that works underwater AND in the air.
~Armor: He has bits of metal sewn into his clothes, but they're small, so as not to hinder his swimming.
~Allies: Serle is his good friend, and knows all about his problem. Hielaie has sworn him to secrecy, but their quest mates will find out quickly.
~Rivals: THE PIRATES!!!!
~History: Kidnapped by pirates and tested on for most of his life. He escaped about a year ago, shortly before he met Serle, who's shown him the ways of the world. He's a little naive, though. He's very attractive to Zora males in female form, which causes him trouble.
~Other: When in Female form, he's much more shy and outgoing.
---------------------------------------------------

Hei:

I looked at the flyer and sighed as I handed it to Serle. As he scanned it, I watched the steady traffic of the inn. No one seemed to want to get too close to the tye-dye Zora and the Deku kid. Of course, I knew that Serle was no child. He was cursed, and an excellent friend. Of course he was going to jump straight into this quest, and I'd follow. We made a good team, because I had very little knowledge of the world, and he needed defense. I had spent most of my life in captivity as a guinea pig fo the pirates of Great Bay. They had slaughtered my tribe, and found me huddled in a hut, a tiny child of 5. Their leader, Verli, had decided to spare me. They had kidnapped me, and used me for their amusement and research for many years. I had only recently escaped, and met Serle. He knew much of the world's secrets, having lived for 200 plus years. He finished scanning it and said "I think we should go for it. This may be the best use of your abilities." I knew what he meant. All I had been doing lately was getting into tavern brawls in my "secondary form", because some jock Zora wanted some fun. It would be safer in the castle anyways. "Alright, we'll go." I decided, as I packed up my pack. It was about time for an adventure in this world.
----------------------------
Sorry for the brevity, but I only have a little while. Naboo, I still need you to control Hei for a few days.

Hei:

As we got up to leave, somone stepped into the inn, and everything went quiet. Shuddering, I walked past him, and noticed two tiny red eyes peering at me from beneath the cloak. I felt hypnotised. Suddenly, I felt a cramp in my stomach. I knew what was coming next. I ran out of the inn and into the nearby woods, with Serle in hot pursuit. When the pain got too bad, I slumped onto the ground, moaning in pain. The first tremor struck. I screamed, as my cells reformed themselves, into new shapes. With each scream, my voice grew higher pitched. Serle sat nearby, knowing that there was nothing he could do. He had seen it many times, and had tried to help me the first time. I had nearly sliced him in half with my fin, and he knew better from then on. When it was over, I lay on the ground, gasping. Serle rummaged around in my pack and pulled out my shirt. I slipped it on, and sat up. In a few minutes, we were hiking towards the palace, which was a few days away. I thought 'I wasn't due for another few days... What happened? Did that cloaked guy do something?' Sighing, I focused myself on keeping watch for male Zoras. You could never be too careful.

I walked through the streets. I soon found a bar. It was a cold

night. I wanted a drink so I decided to go in. I soon came up to the bartender, "Gel, what can I do you for?" he asked. He was a

nice man, not many people would call me by my real name, not like they knew it, but my street name was "Viper". "I think I'll just have a deep blue." I said. A deep blue was a very strong drink,

tasted like green tea. He passed me the drink. I tore my clothes in a corner so nobody would see me. I hit my head against the wall. Soon I walked to the front. A sat on the ground by the door, quietly drinking. Some man dropped some rupees on the ground

so I could catch it. This was my latest scam. I noticed a paper tucked away in the corner. I picked it up . It said,
“To Whom It May Concern:

Go to the tavern at Hyli. The rewards will be great. The rest will be explained there. Show up, or you will die. I know where to find you.”

I noticed a crow squaking outside. I soon got up and started walking outside, I throughthe glass to the bartender. It landed right in his hand. "It's been good, Kylee" I said. I through him some rupees. I headed torwards my destination.

Dark Sol walked past a strange zora, he... emanated strange.. warped magical energy, He gazed at him, divining the meaning of these emanations. the zora hurried on. This world seemed kind of primitive, lacking the knowledge that had been commonplace during his time. he went into the inn, and saw a few others there who were obviously there for the same reason. a thug bumped into him and saw his hand, dessicated and weak looking. the thoughts going through the thug's mind were obvious, and he reached to grab Dark Sol's arm, which suddenly went up and smacked him across the face, slamming his head sideways. Dark Sol then proceeded to the area where the other people were and sat down nearby...

Name: High Priestess Lirade (LEE-raid)

Gender: A proper lady never reveals her age.

Race: Gerudo

Alignment: Rogue

Description: A tall, slender, fair-haired vixen, Lirade is strikingly beautiful. She has long, wavy, blonde hair; her eyes are always hidden behind her dark glasses, but one would rarely suspect that they are wrinkled with laugh-lines, or ever will be. She wears the white robes, complete with purple trim, that are significant of her role in the Tribe—the white dress, jacket, top, and canter (<-- what the pope and bishops wear, if that helps) that are the marks of the High Priestess. The canter itself bears the symbol of a dark Triforce, which she had sewn onto it to remind all who look upon it of the great force that was Yvynn. Also, Lirade holds with her always a simple scepter made of some metal—three rings of everlasting energy circle around its head. (Here (http://www.gaming-media.com/rpg/hack/images/08-19-02/art-helba.jpg)'s a pic that looks more-or-less like Lirade. It's basically a pic of Helba from .hack//, for those that haven't seen her.)

Personality: Lirade is a cryptic being if anything. It isn't often you'll find her professing her feelings about or towards others, so it is difficult to truly tell where her allegiances lie. You would be wise not to put it beyond her to help people; she can, and will, frequently. Beware, however: few can discern whether she's helping them... or they're helping her.

Wish: Few know. It is known to those that have met her that Lirade does seek the Triforce of Chaos, but few--if any--know why. It appears as though she has great knowledge of the thing, including how to unite the shards and make use of their full power, which would make her quite the ally... or quite the enemy.

Powers/Abilities: Though not physically strong, Lirade is more mentally--magically--capable than most people you'll find. She is remarkably agile, being trained as a Gerudo, but lacks their innate physical strength, replacing it with magical willpower instead.

Magic: Lirade is a master of the elements that surround her, and the manipulation of them.

~Gale of Eternity: The ability to manipulate the divine forces of wind and air. While the spell can be used for offensive purposes (ie: air blades, mini-tornadoes, etc), it can also be used for such purposes as deflecting projectiles (arrows, anyone?) or speeding up a target by having the wind bolster his/her movement.

~Unholy Hellfire: The ability to manipulate the divine--or not-so-divine--forces of flame, fire, and heat. The spell is generally used for offensive purposes (ie: fireballs, flame blasts) but can be used merely to manipulate the heat of a given area, either making it warmer or cooler.

~Deep Submerge: The ability to manipulate the serene forces of water that fill the earth. The spell can be used for offensive purposes (ie: water blasts, freezing the water into ice shards, etc.) but can also be used as a basic healing spell, by purifying the water and allowing it to seep into the target.

~World Shaking: The ability to manipulate the gracious bounty of the earth. While it can be used for creating earthquakes, rock spires and the like, this spell is also useful for "speaking" to nature--for example, talking to the trees in a forest to find out where someone is. If she chooses her conversations just right, no one can escape Lirade's notice for long.

~Telepathy: Perhaps this is how she seems to know everything there is to know. By focusing her energies on the target's actual mind, Lirade can read his or her thoughts and, if the mood strikes her, carry on a conversation with him/her. Only those with peak mental capacity, or those with a telepathic ability, can usually respond to her mind-speak, though.

Weapons: A simple scepter made of some metal. Three rings of energy orbit perpetually around the head; their origin is unknown ((OOC: Think of Helba's wand in the .hack// games, if that helps.))

Armour: Unless her robes count, none.

Allies: Awww, come on. She's rather unsociable. Who would be allied with her?

Rivals: Like I said, she doesn't profess her allegiances towards others--no one really knows.

History: She doesn't often speak of it. To be revealed through the plot, if someone is nosy enough to bug her about it.

Other: High Priestess of a Gerudo tribe, the same that birthed the mighty Ganondorf.

~~*~~*~~*~~*~~

High Priestess Lirade (F/Rogue) Gerudo
Lirade sits quietly in her home in the Gerudo Valley. Her thoughts are peaceful and serene, the usual meditation of a Gerudo High Priestess. There was a time when this ritual would be performed twice, even thrice daily... but alas, things have gotten much more hectic within the Tribe, and she barely has the time anymore.

"Bah... what is all this accursed commotion?"

She is referring, of course, to the incessent chattering that has suddenly erupted just outside her very window. Opening one eye, a throng of Gerudo are practically tearing at a piece of paper that has been tacked to the village bulletin board. More than a little annoyed, the High Priestess stands and moves towards the door. Quickly and furiously she casts it open, and then slams it. The crowd turns for a moment, and only a moment, before returning to the excitement.

"I can't believe the king actually sent a message here!" one voice cries aloud, piercing all the rest. It is enough to pique Lirade's interest.

"Stand aside!" she orders. Turning, the crowd realizes who she is and does as she says, creating a path for her to pass through. An uneasy silence follows; the village does rather look up to Lirade, but many of them are not exactly fond of her strictness. It is an uneasy respect, perhaps. From behind her dark glasses, Lirade's eyes scan the flier. It reads:

"Warriors wanted!

All who be stout of heart and pure of mind are summoned to the palace within the week. Your quest shall be discussed on Thursday the next.

His Royal Highness, King Zechial Hyrule III"

"Hmmm... interesting." In her recent meditations, Lirade has been having strange visions of the gods--not three of them, but four of them. Yvynn, the fourth of the Gods, has been entering her dreams. He is a central figure in Gerudon myth, but rarely is he spoken of anywhere else. Perhaps this "quest" from the king will have some connection to her dreams. "Most interesting."

"What is, Priestess?" a woman, dressed in servant clothing, inquires.

"Valynn, ready my steed."

"Your steed, Priestess? Might I ask why?"

"I leave for Hyrule tonight."

OoC: Everybody, I'd appreciate it if, at the top of your posts, along with your char's name that you would also put where you are. Thanks.

This post starts when Zander is in the prison cell. The Light starter is before this, and the Dark starter is after. Ok, here I go.

-~}Zander-Kakariko Prison{~-

A long figure huddled in the corner of the dingy cell, barely visible for the tattered brown prisoner's tunic he wore. The only thing to distinguish the man from a pile of rags was the mess of red-blonde hair that was visible.

The man's name was Aleksander, better known as Zander. Tucked half-under the folds of the over-large tunic he wore, he held a small, leather-bound book. He was chanting in a low voice, barely audible. A faint shadow was slowly creeping from his corner, finally covering the entire room. All at once, the darkness lifted.

Zander felt new power coursing through his veins. He was half-crazed by it. He stood, and strolled to the door as one might walk out to get the mail. H peered through the bars. The guard was drunk again, asleep and drooling all over the table. Zander raised his hand, and twitched his fingers. Shdow surrounded both him and the guard, and when it was gone, it seemed as though the two had switched places. However, they had merely changed appearances. Zander pulled the keys off his belt and, slipping his arm out through the bars, unlocked his cell. His appearance changed back to that of his own. He snapped his fingers, and disappeared. He left the prison, not wanting to remain and witness the guard, disguised as Zander, was beheaded.

As he walked, veiled by his new power, Zander brooded over what to do next. He knew much, now, about the Chaos Shards. It was said taht once they were gathered, they could grant a wish. He could use them to gain revenge against the king... But it would take much work, and Zander did not have taht kind of time. The king would have his pitiful adventurers gathered by then. He needed to find someone to work for him...

~._Serle*Forest_.~

As he walked, Serle thought. It must have been hard for his friend. At least his own curse didn't involve regular pain. It had been only for several nerve-wracking minutes while his flesh changed to wood, his hair to leaves... Serle shuddered, drawing his cloak about himself. Was it him, or was it suddenly getting cold? He glanced at Hei out of the corner of his eye, then looked back down at the ground. It would be harder to leave this world. now that he had a friend. He sighed lightly as a luff of wind stirred his cloak. He shoved those thoughts from his head, and concerned himself with what the king could possibly want with warriors.

OoC: I'll wait for M_c to post for Lukaro before I post for Gona.

Hei**forest:

As we walked along, I reminesced about the first time I had met Serle. I had been in a forset similar to this, and was being ganged up on by a group of Zora jocks. They had managed to get my fins stuck in the ground, but were having a hard time getting my feet away. At that point, Serle walked out from behind a tree. He had obviously been watching for some time, and could tell I was almost done for. "I suggest you leave her alone." He said to the Zoras. They sneered. "What're you gonna do about it, Deku twerp?" They all laughed. Serle shot some rocks out of his snout, right above their heads. They all ran, begging for mercy. He helped pull my fins out of the ground, and we intoduced ourselves. That night, Sele told me about his curse, and I reluctantly informed him of mine. He didn't believe it until I transformed the next day. From then on, we had been the closest of friends, needing each other's skills to survive. Since he had known my female form first, he was the least stiff when I was like that. Snapping out of my memories, I noticed a bush ahead moving, and then a cloaked form came out. It looked to be a Goron, but with odd colors. We stopped. "A Zora? I hate Zoras." The Goron said, and with that ran at me, pummeling me with his fists. I pulled out my boomerang and sliced him, but to no effect. He chuckled. "Zoras are pathetic. Your weak little weapons can not harm me!" He kicked me onto the ground. I lay there, winded, and suddenly I felt colder. My body, except for my head, had been frozen to the ground. He spit on me. "You will lie there, slowly starving, as is fitting for a Zora." He then continued walking. Sele burst out from behind a tree. "Let's work on getting you out of here." He said as he lit a fire nearby. He put a bowl full of soup by my head and said "Drink. You might die of hypothermia before starvation." Without a word, I began to slurp the soup. He smiled. "In all my life, I've never seen anyone who could eat as much as you." Seeing how he had lived 200+ years, this was quite the compliment. That night, as he slept nearby and I thawed, I thought about how little I really knew about this world. I hoped to live as long as possible so that Serle would have a friend for as long as possible. In a way, he was still a child, despite his great wisdom. I sighed, and drifted off into a cold sleep.

Segiro (m) Dark Ice Goron ~ Hyrule Market Place
I probably shouldn't have attacked that Zora the way I did. Not that it didn't deserve it, poullting the air with it's foul stench and spreading it's flith across the lands. But i shouldn't have revealed myself this early. None the less the damage was done. I admit I feel cranky. I've been walking through the blazing sun for hours, and I'm much to warm to be my usual happy self.

I approached the old castle walls of Hyrule City. It was beyond these gates that the meeting would take place. In the new city of Hyli. Apprently it's not that new, but for me, it is. I continued on. Hyrule Market place was quite empty at night, only wild dogs roamed the paths, and the occasional late nighter. No one stopped to ask where I was going, no one stopped to take notice. This was good.

The path to Hyli was still dry and brittle, it wasn't stoned over as was the city itself. Guay fluttered harmlessly around trees and the odd Skulltulla cralwed beneath a rock as I passed. I pushed through the gates that beckoned the entrance to Hyli. Once in, I gazed around for the tavern I was supposed to meet at.

There were two Taverns. One was full of people, drunk mostly, singing dancing, enjoying themselves. One was practically empty. Which one? I cast a locater spell, brining any recent dark magic activities to light. A brilliant flare was emitting from the empty tavern. I headed inside.

Still covered by my cloak, I took a drink of ice cold water from the bar and sat in the furthest dark corner, as far away from the lit fire as I could. The water was warm, stale. I touched it for a brief second, and it was instantly chilled. I kept my robe around me, and cast another Veil spell, surrounding me in chilled air, helpefully provided by the open window nearby. I awaited the arrival of others.

If other people are there, I apologise i didn't read through everyone's posts properly. Just see fit that Segiro didn't know who you are. I'd imagine when Zander appears he will intorduce everyone. Also Segiro is going to avoid randomly attacking anyone from now. Kuakurai post soon.

OoC: Yeah, Opaque, Erif's in. :yes: Except, Serle's not vulnerable to fire. While he is a Deku, the fact that he is an earth mage negates the natural weakness to fire. And, Zander's already in the tavern.

-~}Zander-Tavern{~-

Nobody saw Zander as he sat in a corner near the fire. If they had, he would have been surprised. The invisibility spell he had cast upon himself was very difficult to see through, even for a mage.

After escaping from the prison, Zander had headed for Hyli, where he had stashed some of his belongings when he had gotten wind of his punishment-to-be. Clothes, weapons, ruppees, all tucked neatly under the floorboards of a certain room in the inn. He had then gone to the tavern, and COncealed himself.

Zander looked on from the flickering shadows as a Goron entered the tavern. He chose to si far away from the fire, which was odd for a Goron.

"<So Segiro arrives... Good...>" Zander thought, then sat back to wait for the rest to arrive.

Flare & Glacier- Hyli
------------------------------------
The two brothers arrived at the tavern. They looked over at the two taverns.
"Which one is it?" Flare asked. Glacier then pointed to the empty one.
"I'm sensing some dark energy coming from that one." The two then walked in to see a strange goron like creature sitting at the bar. Glacier sat close to the goron while Flare sat closest to the fire. Glacier then looked over at the goron.
"What are you suppossed to be?" he asked.
"The name's Serigo,"

Ooh-ness, sounds nifty! Wouldn't mind if I joined, would you? ^_^

Name: Bramble Jiddit (Although his actual name is Barb Jiddit, see history...)
Age: 34, or the equivalent in Deku years.
Gender: Male
Race: Deku
Alignment: Light
Looks: Similar to Deku Link, but with a smaller mouth, and is a little taller than Dekus usually are. Has no cap, and hair is made up of a large tuft of grass (afro!!). Is an unusual pale brown hue. Wears a red band around his right arm. Like Deku Link, wears fingerless gloves.
Personality: 'Bramble' is bumbling and cowardly. He's nice, and has good intentions, but unfortunately is far too clumsy for things to work out for him. He's prone to trip, at which point he might start to cry. He's quite trusting, and prefers to make friends rather than engage in battle.
Wish: For anyone who's ever doubted themselves to be just a little braver.
Powers/Abilities: Whenever he cries, its ear-piercing, and can start to cause strong winds. Supposed to be a great archer, but unforunately, is not (again, see history)
Magic: None.
Spells: None.
Weapons: A fairy bow and a long knife.
Armor: Wears a thick blue padding that resembles a bullet-proof vest. Simply because he likes it.
Allies: None, right now.
Rivals: Dogs! Fears dogs, especially poodles.
History: 'Bramble' is actually the name of Barb's identical twin brother. Whereas Bramble is a skilled and respected Deku archer and fierce fighter, Barb never developed his brother's talents, and therefore grew up as the forgotten child. Of all his family, Bramble is the only one who treats Barb with any respect, and encourages him to be brave. (I'll be saying this in the first post, but...) the reason Barb sets off under Bramble's name, is due to an unfortunate accident. Not wanting to disappoint the family, Barb pretends that he's Bramble, and sets off in his name.
Other: Loves water, but isn't a very good swimmer.

'Bramble'~Deku~Outskirts of forest
"Wow, Bramble, you sure are bringing a lot of stuff..." I muttered in awe as I watched my brother pack his small bag. He had various potions and weaponry I had never seen before.
"Well, that's because this is the greatest quest I've ever embarked upon, Barb!" he said cheerily, "Father came upon a flier posted by the king, and he thought that this would be the perfect time to show the world just what the Jiddits are capable of!"
"When do you think you'll be coming back?" I said worriedly.
"...I might not come back, Barb." he sighed, "For some reason, I'm finding myself tired, even at this healthy age. I don't know how much more rough and tumble I can handle."
"Bu-bu-but..." I stammered, shocked, "Who would carry on your legacy?"
"Why, you, of course!" he said with a grin, "You have not yet been worn down by adventure, and I'm certain that soon you will find a reason to set off. Why, if you were to come with me on a journey one day, maybe I could last longer knowing my brother was fighting alongside me..."
I smiled weakly. Somehow I doubted that would be happening.
"Nonetheless, we can't find out just yet." He continued, "This is probably the biggest thing that's happened in my life, and I just wouldn't be performing at my peak if you were at any risk."
"But... isn't that coinciding what you just said?" I muttered, rolling my eyes.
Bramble put down his bag. "Barb, don't you see?" he said deeply, "This is a gathering of heroes, this is where the best are tested, this is a request from the king! He wouldn't just be fooling around, something is obviously of very deep concern."
I frowned, best as I could considering my awkward mouth, "Perhaps he's simply requesting another treasure-seeking crew."
"That was back in dad's days, Barb!" Bramble groaned, "And either way, that was direct invitation, they wouldn't just get any person claiming to be a hero for treasure hunting..."
"And they would for 'the biggest thing that's happened in your life'?" I snapped.

Bramble shook his head. "Maybe you don't get it now, but you will. Anyway, help me with a few of my weapons."
I passed along various bits and pieces, including an uncharacteristic morningstar that was hard to lift, until I came upon an unusual pipe.
I glanced at it, confused. It seemed like a strange sort of thing to take with you. Perhaps it was some sort of instrument?
Curiously, I blew in one end. To my horror, a needle shot out, and hit Bramble in the neck! His eyes widened, before he fell to the floor.
I gasped, dropped the pipe and ran to his side. He was snoring. I pulled the needle from his neck, and took a look at the green substance within.
Now I was certain...It was mom's homemade sleep syrum. It had enough power in it to knock a Goron out cold for a day. So on a Deku...

I looked around frantically. Mom, dad, everyone would be disappointed if Bramble hadn't fulfilled his duty! ...But now there was no way he could make it! I whimpered nervously, before having an idea I would no doubt regret.

...I would go in his place.

I lifted him onto his bed, and pulled off his red armband and fingerless gloves. I put them on, and reached for his bag. I strained to pick it up, and it was simply too much to put it on my back.
What would Bramble be most likely to bring? I thought to myself, and looked through the weapons.

The first thing I grabbed was a small knife, which had been a family heirloom, and one that was always taken to battle. I gulped, when my hands landed upon his prized weapon. ...His fairy bow.
He had struggled through many hardships to get one of his own, and he had been an amazing archer since getting it. Simply put, without the bow, it wouldn't be Bramble out there.
I nervously put it across my back, and grabbed the satchel, which only had three spare arrows.

I nodded weakly, and stepped outside, ready to defend my brother's good name.
"This one's for you Bramble..." I sighed, and started walking towards Hyrule.
"Hi, my name's Bramble." I kept repeating to myself. It's not really easy changing your name so abruptly.

I shuddered slightly as the forest that I called home became further with each step I took. ...This was going to be hard.

Thanks!
Erif-forest:

I burned the letter in my hands. Who dared to send ME a threatening note? It was outrageous. Still, I guess I could attend and size up whoever had sent this, and kill them when the time was right. Getting up, I started walking towards the nearby woods. I had nothing to take with me, just the clothes I wore. As I walked by an old bush, my fins ignited and I slashed it. It burst aflame, and fell to the ground. If I was lucky, it would burn the whole town. After a few hours of walking in the forest, it got dark. Frustrated, I lit my fins. I noticed a fire ahead. Time for some robbery. I lept out of the bushes, and was confronted by a small Deku child and a Zora frozen to the ground. Suddenly, I noticed how similar the Zora was to myself. Apart from her coloring, we were mirror images. I hesitated. The Deku child said "Leave us alone, we have nothing of value." My fins ignited once more. "Oh yeah? Why should I believe a heap of ash?" I lunged, but suddenly a gigantic sword appeared out of nowhere and stabbed my side. Cursing, I limped off, in the direction of Hyli, promising myself I would destroy that Deku and his mirror friend next time we met. I slashed a tree, setting it ablaze. Let them roast.

Hei-forest:

I was rattled. Why had that Zora looked like me, and why had she had fire powers? We Zoras hated fire. Was there some kind of Zoras I didn't know about? I had only been free for about a year, and by no means knew everything about this world. I struggled, and the ice finally gave way. I was free again.

The cloaked figure entered the tavern in hyli, and immediately sensed something. "There's some sort of magic going on here, I can't tell what it is or where it's coming from though..." Dark Sol muttered to himself.
Dark Sol then turned and saw a fairly... wicked looking group, one that included an oddly colored Goron. He walked over, and the two oddly dressed Hylians asked, "and who are you?" Dark Sol muttered a spell to prevent eavesdropping and said, "I am Dark Sol, the last survivor of an age long gone to dust." They gave him an odd look, but they calmed down after that. the goron looked almost... perplexed. "And who are YOU? Asked Dark Sol. "I am Flare" said one Hylian, "and I am Glacier" said the other. "I am Segiro" said the Goron.

~|>|Gonadon~Kakariko Inn|<|~

The Gerudo boy slowly read the flier in Kakariko inn.

"Should we go?" he asked his Goron companion. Lukaro considered it a moment before nodding. Gona grinned. Just the opportunity he had been waiting for. He went to a bench and sat down, pondering how to go about this. It was a long walk, for a boy his age, to go from Kakariko to Hyli. They would have to get supplies so they could camp along the way. And what if the king didn't let Gona do... Whatever it was, because he was just a boy. He sighed, leaning back against the back of the bench, swinging his little legs lazilly over the edge.

"<This is gonna be hard...>" he thought.

Gel [The road after the forest ]
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gel walked through the forest and soon saw a Deku boy and an
oddly colored Zora. "Could I-" "Leave us alone!!!" the Deku boy said, trying to get his companion out of his ice chamber. A person
ran off after putting out the fire. Gel walked out of the forest. He soon spotted a girl Zora. He thought she didn't notice him and she though he didn't notice her. They were both planning to rob
one another. Gel knew the basic prosedure for a pick. he watched as she slowed down her pace. They "Accidently" bumped into each other. They both knew what was about to take place. "I know what your doing." the zora called out. Shade
stopped walking away. No one had ever spotted him before. "Your pretty good." she said. "So are you. My name's Shade." "I usually don't give my name out to total strangers, and you tried to rob me." she said. He knew he wanted to be allies with her. He gazed at her, "Join me, on my quest."
Ooc: Eh, I'll post for Erif now.
---------------------------
Erif-Hyli Inn:
I limped through those woods for almost an hour, cursing that Deku kid. Who did he think he was?! After I finally cleared the woods, I saw the inn. Walking in, I noticed a table surronded by scrupulous looking characters. I hobbled over and sat down next to one in a black cloak, with evil red eyes. As I sat down, I winced. The cloaked one asked "What happened?" In a voice that wasn't really asking. "Some Deku munchkin made this sword appear out of nowhere and stabbed me. He and his Zora girlfriend are going to pay." The figure was silent. Then, "A female Zora and Deku child. Interesting..." He would say no more.
Kuakurai (m) Subrosian Rouge ~ Lon Lon Ranch to Hyrule Market
This Ranch was most uncomfortable. I'd slept in some nasty places before, but this was quite bad. Strange really, it looked very comfortable. I couldn't work out whether it was pain or something nagging in my head. I rolled over, and crawled out of the small shed. It was cloudy out, looked like a storm was coming. I couldn't tell if it was day or night. I pulled my robe tighter around me and started out again heading for Hyrule Market.
Will edit this later, i'm running low on ideas right now.
This is |)ark |_ink; I'm stuck in my bro's account.
~Name: Ojiri Kahri
~Age: 25
~Gender: Male
~Race: Zora
~Alignment: Dark
~Looks: Looks mostly like a typical Zora. His scales are smoky dark gray, though, and his eyes are black instead of dark blue. He wears a black tunic and boots, and dark gray shorts, both tight so as not to inhibit his swimming. The tips of his arm-and-ankle fins are dark blue.
~Personality: Very sarcastic, and often spends more time taunting his foes than fighting them. He is naive, and has a joy of killing things.
~Wish: To rule the world -- revenge for his past hardships.
~Powers/Abilities: He can stand incredibly cold temperatures, unlike most of his race. He can also create a weak electric barrier shield.
~Magic: Ice and dark magic.
–Spells:
Ice Shards: Fires ice shards from palms.
Shadow Spike: Fires a wraithlike spike of ice.
Darkness: Fires a black energy beam.
Congeal: Whatever Ojiri touches freezes.
~Weapons: Boomerang fins, master of Kung-Fu, and has a long, silver dagger with a fish engraved on the hilt.
~Armor: Electric barrier, and can enlarge fins much like Zora Link can.
~Allies: None right now.
~Rivals: Ditto.
~History: He has been shunned since he was a child for his appearance, until finally, when he was 17, he was blamed for stealing someone’s wallet. He was outcast from Zora’s Domain, and has been plotting his revenge from a cave near Zora’s River.
~Other: Um... What’s this for? *feels stupid*
--Ojiri-Cave Lair (near Zora's River)--
Ojiri read over the letter, which had been dropped outside his door by a crow. Although angered by the threatening aspect of the letter, the mention of great rewards perturbed him. Deciding to leave, he packed his few belongings in a ragged old backpack and prepared to set out.
**Later**
"UGH! Curse these annoying excuses for monsters!" Ojiri growled, cutting down yet another Poe with his dagger. Poes had an astonishing weakness to silver. He continued on his way to Hyli, keeping his arm-fins extended for defense issues. Finally, he saw the drawbridge off to his right. Sighing with relief and annoyance, he ran forward, his boots tapping against the wooden planks.
Arriving in the tavern that seemed emptier, he noticed a pretty Zora girl there. Blushing, Ojiri took a seat across the room from both her and that nasty fire.
Lukaro-Hylin Castle Gates
---------------------------
The two companions arrived at the castle gates. Lukaro pounded the door with his fists. A small hatch opened and a snobbish looking face popped out.
"What's with all the racket?" he growled.
"We're here for the job," Lukaro replied. The man looked over the two and then laughed.
"You must be joking! Rifraf like you aren't allowed in the castle. Now buzz off.
"RIFRAF!?!?!?!?" Lukaro roared, "WATCH WHO YOU'RE CALLING RIFRAF!!!!"
"You punks don't scare me now go away!" The hatch slammed in their faces.
"Let's go Lukaro," Gano said.
"Not so fast little guy!" the goron said, "We're getting inside the castle one way or another!"
Lirade (f) Gerudo ~ Hyrule Castle
It was a strangely long ride, despite the fact that it was one Lirade had taken many times before. Gerudo Valley and Hyrule Castle Town are not terribly far apart on horseback, but something had been weighing heavily on the High Priestess' mind--namely, the nature of King Hyrule's note, or more specifically, his quest. She has been having several disturbing dreams as of late, regarding the fourth God, Yvynn. Few know of this being, and most pass him off only as a myth, blindly believing that he could not have had a part in creating the world. Lirade and her followers, however, believed otherwise.
But it is a strange thing to think that Yvynn and King Zechial's quest might be connected. General Hylian religion focuses only on Farore, Din, and Nayru, the three Sister Goddesses that created the world. Yvynn does not even get an honorable mention, really. Gerudo religion, however, focuses on all four of the Gods, as well as the circumstances that brought about Yvynn's downfall.
And why, you ask, is this important? It is quite simple: any connection between Yvynn and King Zechial's quest must be an important one, for the king may well be breaking the very boundaries of his own religion if indeed there is a connection and the general public finds out about it. Or, maybe, Lirade is just being paranoid. An easy thing to be when you live like she does.
Swinging her leg over one side of her beautiful black stallion, the Priestess dismounts just inside the drawbridge.
"Just in time, ma'am," one of the guards states with a grin as she dismounts. He takes the reigns of her horse and pats the beast's muzzle gently, continuing, "The sun's going down. We're going to be closing the drawbridge soon. Don't want any of those zombies coming into the town."
"No, of course not," Lirade replies with a nod. It isn't a friendly nod, really; just one of acknowledgement, to show that she agrees with what he's saying. The guard looks plainly discouraged, as though he has been trying to get her undivided attention practically forever, all while Lirade seems to have a vacant, far-away look on her face.
He sighs, audibly, and speaks. "Where are ya headed, miss? The potion shop as usual?"
Lirade turns to him and looks at him down her nose. She shakes her head plainly. "No. I must go to the castle. I must speak with King Zechial."
The guard looks at the Priestess with an expression not of surprise, but of mild shock, as though he knows Lirade would be allowed within the castle, but never expects her to go there. When he finally comes to, he nods his head and flags her on. "Go right ahead, ma'am. I'll take care of old Moonshine here. You know where to find him in the morning."
Lirade nods her head slightly, barely even so much as vibrating it at all. Grasping her scepter tightly in her hand, she starts off through the Town Square and towards the castle.
~~*~~*~~*~~*~~
Upon reaching the Castle Road, and the gate blocking the way of all travelers, a usual guard stops her.
"Halt. Name, please, and purpose of visit."
"High Priestess Lirade Zuran of the Gerudo," she begins, staring at the guard blankly from beneath her dark, pointed glasses. "I'm here to see King Zechial on a matter of very important business."
The guard mutters something (it sounds something like "Everyone seems to be, today...") before sighing and nodding his head. He slams the butt of his spear on the firm earth below him and the gate begins to creak open, allowing Lirade to continue along Castle Road.
It isn't long before she reaches the actual castle gates themselves, and upon doing so, she believes she catches a glimpse of two figures not too far off, discussing something. Street urchins and beggars are not uncommon this close to the castle, sadly--they hang around often and beg the passerby for money or food, simply assuming that all visitors to the castle are painstakingly rich. Lirade prefers not to deal with such people, and as such, she chooses to ignore what she believes are the figures of Lukaro and Gonadon. Her hand reaches for the large brass knocker on the door, and she brings it down hard three times. The latch slides open.
"State your business," the pair of eyes seem to ask; the rest of the face is invisible behind the door.
"I am High Priestess Lirade Zuran of the Gerudo, and I must speak with King Zechial."
"Yeah," the face laughs, "don't we all?"
Lirade is visibly displeased with his sense of humour. "You will listen, and you will listen well. King Zechial himself posted this--" she takes a moment to rip the advertisement from her pocket, waving it in front of the guard's eyes, "--right outside my door in Gerudo Valley. It speaks of a quest, and if you are so dimwitted that you require me to spell it out for you, I am here to take him up on his offer. Or, at least, to entertain the idea."
The eyes stare blankly, perhaps a bit shocked, for a moment. They soon disappear and the sound of several locks being undone is heard. The great wooden doors swing open with a deafening moan, opening a passage several feet wide and several feet high--perfect for anyone of ANY stature to waltz right in, if a certain couple of adventurers take my meaning.
Lirade steps in and stares at the gatekeeper, a meek little man with a round belly and a short spear. She chuckles. "Pleasure doing business with you."
Ignoring his unhappy mutterings, the High Priestess follows the red carpet straight to the king's throne room. Time to find out what this is all about.
Blah, just a quick post. Nothing special.
'Bramble'~Deku~Near the township
*******************************
I gazed toward the sky, and began to pick up the pace. It was getting dark... and if night came... the environment would become considerably less friendly.
I broke a sweat, as I dashed quickly as my short legs could carry me.
"Gotta keep... keep running..." I panted, "For Bramble's sake... for mom's sake... For... for... Oh, for pete's sake!"
I fell to the ground, breathing heavily.
"This is taking too long!" I gasped, "I've got to take a break... Just a...short break..."
My eyelids flitted up and down, and I forced myself to stand back up. I continued to walk. ...slowly!
