a Magic Marker is merely something used by Super Black Magic Paladin I believe. Basically, it's a Counter. Much like Scapegoat or Slime tokens, or a Token on Swords of Revealing Light. It just sits on SBMP and adds 300 attack and allows you to stop a magic card(I believe)
