I found two big goofs from the episode "The Pokemon Flame-athon":

A JAPANESE DUBBING ERROR!!! If you listen realy REALLY good when squirtle and Pikachu come up to Ash and Ponyta right after they were blasted down by Electrode's explosoin, they forgot to edit out squirtle's japanese voice!! pikachu speaks in english but then Squirtle says "Zeni,Zeni!", which Squirtle's japanese is Zenigame. Sounds like a serious dubbing error.

AND...

At the end when Dario was blaming Team Rocket for him losing the race, James had no "R" on his shirt.

Have you found any goofs?

Ash's gloves disappeared at least two times in the episode.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

16. Pokemon Shipwreck
When brock uses Geodude to battle, Geodude makes the boat rock back and forth. And yet, when he calls out Onix, nothing happens! What, does Geodude way 100 lbs. and Onix ways 0?

James was on stage when he inflated his body suit and the judges would have seen that.
Squirtle is rideing on Starmie, but Brock says it's Staryu.

Misty accidently calls Horsea a "he".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

25. Pokemon Scent-Sation!
Erika refuses to fight Ash, but in Showdown in Pewter City Brock says that a gym trainer must accept all challenges.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

27. Pokémon Fashion Flash
Why were Team Rocket chased out of town? If you think about it, they DIDN'T steal anyone's pokemon or money! Or even use false advertising! They EARNED every dollar they got!
When Misty asks a woman where everybody went, the woman replies - with a man's voice.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

28. The Punchy Pokémon
Just how many Machokes were there in the competition? Primeape, Hitmonlee, and Hitmonchan each defeat one. Also, no one ever untied the guy that J&J stole the Hitmonlee from. What happened to him and Hitmonlee, and why would Hitmonlee obey J&J?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

30. Dig Those Diglett!
During the scene Brock mentioned that the Diglett are planting the plants and Digtrio are making the holes, when it is the other way around.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

31. The Ninja Poké-Showdown
When Ash, Misty, and Brock had entered the Fuschia Gym, Misty was on Ash's left side while Brock was on his right. But when Misty falls through that secret door, she's on Ash's right, and Brock is on Ash's left. What happened here?
When Ash is battling Koga's sister's Venonat, he is using Bulbasaur. They both do pretty well against each other, but Bulbasaur defeats Venonat with Leech Seed. How did this happen if Bug Pokemon are good against Grass Pokemon? How was it defeated by a grass-type attack?
When Meowth rolls a Voltorb at Ash, Misty, Brock, Pikachu, Koga and Koga's sister, at first it rolls toward them, but then it appears to be rolling away from them, even though it is still moving towards them.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

32. The Flame Pokemon-athon!
At the end when everyone is laughing after Ash won the race, Ash and Misty are wearing socks and no shoes, but everyone else is wearing shoes. What the heck has happened here???
A JAPANESE DUBBING ERROR!!! If you listen realy REALY good when squirtle and Pikachu come up to Ash and Ponyta right after they were blasted down by Electrode's explosoin, they forgot to edit out squirtle's japanese voice!! pikachu speaks in english but then Squirtle says "Zeni,Zeni!",which Squirtle's japanese is Zenigame.Sounds like a serious dubbing error.
At the end when Dario was blaming Team Rocket for him losing the race, James had no "R" on his shirt.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

35. Ditto's Mysterious Mansion
When the good guys catch sight of the House of Imate, Ash's gloves have disappeared.
When Ditto transforms into Voltorb, Ditto's mouth is in the upper hemisphere at first. But then in a different shot, it's in the lower hemisphere. If I'm not mistaken.
How could Duplica have costumes of Ash and Misty when she never knew them before then?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

39. Showdown at Dark City
After the Kas and Yas Gyms stop fighting they reconstruct the town which appears to be taking a few days. But at the end of the episode, Team Rocket suddenly appear still there covered in paint and being attacked! Why would they have stayed in the same place(a few days, most likely) after the fight ended??!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

40. The March of the Exeggutor Squad
Melvin's Exeggcute evolved on their on, but Exeggcute only evolve when exposed to a leaf stone.
Reply: A sign leading into the forest warns of Exeggcute evelving into Exeggcutor. My guess is that leaf stones are buried in the ground.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

43. Attack Of The Prehistoric Pokemon
What was the point of taking out the lighter scene when you can see the lighter 5 seconds later?
Charizard is as big as a three-story building in this episode, but in every other episode he's in, he's the regular size.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

47. Who Gets to Keep Togepi?
When Team Rocket throw the eggs to distract Ash, they throw ALL the eggs at them, but later more eggs suddenly come leading up to the trail! And even if there were more eggs, how could the eggs have followed if Team Rocket apparenly got rid of the egg basket when they ran away? Sounds like someone just wants them to lose...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

51. The Ultimate Test
The instructor tells James that electric attacks don't work on rock pokemon. This is not true. Pikachu's attack didn't work because Graveler is also a ground pokemon.
In the scene where Jesse said, "It's an Arbok all curled up!" her eyes are green instead of blue!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

56. Volcanic Panic
There is no such attack as an Aerial Sufficiant attack.
The narrator said that last tme Ninetales used an Ember attack on Squirtle, but it used Fire Spin.
How could Ash have won the badge if he never defeated Blaine's Ninetales?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

57. Beach Blank-Out Blastoise
When Pikachu and Squirtle attack Blastoise to wake it up, why is it when Blastoise wakes up, he isn't affected by the electicity?
Squrtle takes out his glases like he has pockets! How can he do that if he dosn'nt have them?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

58. The Misty Mermaid
Here, Arbok beats four water pokemon at once UNDERWATER! But in "The Heartbreak Of Brock" Totodile beat Arbok with one water blast and in "Tunnel Vision" Poliwag beat Arbok easily. I don't get it?
James complains about his ballerina costume. Why doesn't he just wear the male costume Jesse has???
How could Ash's Pokedex work underwater? It should have maybe shorted out or maybe the Pokedex is waterproof.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

59. Clefairy Tales
When Ash goes to the Clefairy ship to save Pikachu, and Misty goes with him (awwwww, how cute!), Brock goes to get Officer Jenny. But how does he do this if the only way back up would be large structure of pipes? They had fallen through at least a few hundred feet of piping, so did Brock just climb out?
After Team Rocket do their motto and Meowth comes, Meowth's charm has no lines! And in the next scene it does!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

61. It's Mr. Mime Time
At the title screen, it says, "It's Mr. Mimie Time."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

62. Showdown at the Po-ké Corral
Corral has 2 L's instead of 1 in the title card.
How can Ash be amazed by Gary's Krabby if he saw it in "Mystery Of The Lighthouse"?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

63. The Evolution Solution
Okay, let me get this straight...[Professor] Westwood is supposed to be the creator of the Pokedex. Yet, he is totally unfamiliar with Togepi, and the pokedex IDENTIFIED Togepi. What????

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

64. The Pi-Kahuna
Some people tend to misspell "Puka" as "Pooka".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

66. Lights, Camera, Quack-tion!
Clevon Shieplunk says he was a winner of a Golden Growlithe award or something like that. But behind him, they show an ARCANINE, not a Growlithe!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

67. Go West Young Meowth
In the scene where Meowth is learing how to read and the weather changes in the window there is snow in the background. It doesn't snow in Hollywood.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

70. Bad to the Bone
Here James can recongnize Jesse when he can only see her eyes. Well, remember in "The Ultimate Test" where they were in disguise and James couldn't recognize Jesse? Her disguise was much better here, so why couldn't James recognize there in "The Ultimate Test"?
Pikachu defeats Marowak with an electric attack. But Ground-type pokemon are immune to electric attacks!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

74. The Fourth Round Rumble
when two officer jenny's see team rockets balloon one of them says "Arcanine flamethrower" but it was a growlthe but it sounded like a Arcanine ?!?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

77. Friends to the End
Jessie orders Weezing to attack Ash and Richie even though he is not her Pokemon!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feature Movie
Pokémon the First Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back
When Jessie, James and Meowth are watching the screen on Mewtwo's cloning machine, they state that one of the Pokémon shown in silhouette is Alakazam. It is actually Scyther.
Weezing is seen under water in this movie. How come it did not get weak?
With all of those trainers Mewtwo invited, don't you think they would have had many Jhoto pokemon?
Pidgeot is called Pidgeotto!
None of the trainers had any Johto Pokemon because, like in the show, Johto hadn't been mentioned at this point except for the introduction of Togepi and Ho-Oh.
At the beginning of the minny movie you see Psyduck running with the other pokemon then you see him with Squrtle,Bulbasaur,Togepi and Pikachu.
Mewtwo: Like all trainers, I also began with Bulbasaur, Squirtle and Charmander. Uh, HELLO!!! Earth to 4Kids!!! This is more proof that the people at 4Kids and Shogakukan have never played the game in their lives!!! A) Mewtwo isn't a trainer and B) You can only have ONE of those!! Also, why would M2 need to capture Ash's Charizard, Corey's Venusaur and the other guy's Blastoise? He already had those! PS. Don't fall for the "Mewtwo is an evil guy who wants to destroy stuff for fun" act. 4Kids changed the whole story just because M2 mentions God in the Japanese version.
In the scenes where Mewtwo was shaking his hand around, when he was sitting in the chair, his hand was pink!
I just what to know. Where did Pikachu's clone come from??? I thought Ash had saved Pikachu when it was in Mewtwo's ball? If Pikachu had never come out, how was the clone created?!?!
How could Pikachu beat a Golem with a single Thundershock? That's impossible!
The pirate guy picks up four PokéBalls and throws them. Two land, three Pokémon appear.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Special
Holiday Hi-Jynx
If the Jynx just wanted to fix Jessie's doll, why didn't she leave her a note?
When jessie is in the sub she trows out weezing. But weezing is james's pokemon.
When Team Rocket was making there escape, the sub was going backward!
How did the ice beam lapras used get inside the sub?
Why woud santa keep a picture of himself in his boot?
Caption Error: When ash told charmander to burn away the ropes, captions says"Charmander burn away there ropes".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Snow Way Out
When jessie, james, and meowth were in the igloo ( witch james called ugloo) jessie was wereing a white cooking dress. She is back into her normal cloths after thath.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 2

85. Pikachu Re-Volts
How does Ash not know what a Drowzee is if he saw one in "Hypno's Naptime"?
This episode marks the first time Tracy meets Butch and Cassidy. But for no reason at all, Tracy seems to already know them!
When Team Rocket work with Ash and co. Jesse says, "Just this once". But Team Rocket help them many more times. ("Pokemon The Movie 2000" "Forrest Gumps" etc.)
Why do Ash and co. expect Team Rocket to help them? Ash and Misty are amazed by Team Rocket acting good in Jhoto Champion eps. ("Wobbu-Palooza" "The Trouble With Snubble" etc.)
How come in this ep, Jesse doesn't want to be rewarded for doing something good, but she did in both "Here Comes The Squirtle Squad" and "The Trouble With Snubble"?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

88. Stage Fight!
How can Jessie tell Weezing to use smokescreen if that isn't her pokemon?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

89. Bye, Bye Psyduck
Ash thinks Psyduck is using a whirlpool, but Whirlpool isn't an attack until they go to Johto.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

93. Snack Attack
When Tracy suggests that a massage will put Snorlax to sleep he only has one finger on his left hand(holding his bag).

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

96. Tracey Gets Bugged
Misty says that Maril and Venonat aren't bug Pokemon. But Venonat is a bug Pokemon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

97. A Way Off Day Off!
Why was Bulbasaur afraid of Scyther? In "The Fourth Round Rumble" Bulbasaur beat a Scyther and that one was probably more powerful than Tracey's?
When James was saying how he and Victreebell made a great team, his nose was three times bigger than normal! And then it's normal again!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

98. The Mandarin Island Mismatch
"Prima" is not the character's real name. Her real name is Lorelei.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

100. Get Along Little, Pokemon
When Jessie and James are rubbing themselves to make static electrictiy they have no noses!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

101. The Mystery Menace
In the scene where the mayor is having a bath and the pipes explode making a big flood which has in the big waves Ash, Misty, Tracy, the 2 Bulbasaurs and a surfing Pikachu! When the tub was blasted out throught the door and the mayor was flying, he had a towel and when Big Bulbasaur threw him into the air and Ash's Bulbasaur and Pikachu beat up his SWAT Team he had on for a split second some underwear!
Before ash and tracey jumped into the water, ash's muck was still above water. He did not return muck to his pokeball.Yet, when ash opened his eyes, muck was seen in front of him.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

106. Pokemon Food Fight
If Snorlax Was Hungry, Why Did He Use An Attack Insted Of Going Straight To The Food?
When Ash Caught Krabby It Got Transported to prof.oaks lab because trainers are only allowed to have 7 pokemon. If Snorlax was past #7 How Come it Did not get transported?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

116. A Rivalry Revival
The moves that Gary's Eevee unleashes on Pikachu are not actual Eevee attacks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Feature Movie
Pokémon The Movie 2000: The Power of One
Melody calls Misty by her name before the two are ever introduced.
in the short "Pikachu's Rescue Adventure" that precedes the feature, a character is seen bouncing around and saying "Poliwrath." this character is a Poliwhirl.
When Ash and Maren are going to the first Island in her boat, watch carefully the scene when the rudder comes off. You notice it starts falling off before they hit the rock if you slow it down.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 3

118. The Double Trouble Header
If Casey just got her Chikorita, how could it defeat Pikachu if Chikorita is probably at level 5 or so and Pikachu is probably at level 80?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

139. The Superhero Secret
How did LaToya know Ash's name? He never introduced himself, so how does she know? Could it be that, like her namesake in The Jackson Family claims to be, she is psychic?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

144. Gettin' the Bug's Out
Ash continues to lie. Ash says he'll go back to Azalea after the Johto league, but he never returns. Likewise, the mystery of the GS Ball is left unsolved.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

145. A Farfetch'd Tale
Meowth said, "I can smell it with my nose!" Wait. Meowth doesn't have a nose!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

147. No Big Woop
Brock knew the name of the girl with the Wooper when she never introduced herself.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

150. The Fire-ing Squad
Why is Psyduck in the squad with Squirtle and Staryu? He can't even do water attacks!!
If Ash needed more water pokemon, why didn't he just trade one of his pokemon for Kingler back at Professor Oak's lab?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

151. Fowl Play
When Ash called Cyndaquil and Totodile out, he said Cyndaquil when he threw the lure ball and Totodile when he threw the regular pokeball. Totodile is supposed to be in the lure ball

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

155. The Fortune Hunters
If Cassidy's Raticate couldn't beat Victreebell or Wobuffet, how did it have the strength to Skull Bash both of them(and Meowth, Jesse and James) to blasting off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

157. The Psychic Sidekick
In this episode phychic Pok'emon have an advantage over ghost Pok'emon but in "Kadabra versus Haunter" ghosts have the advantage.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 4

165. Hassle in the Castle
When the Zubat used their Supersonic to see in that man's body and in those hidden tunnels, how was Docter Anna able to see all these things that the Zubat were able to see with her computers? She never said that her computer was hooked up to her Zubat, and even if her computer was hooked up how was she able to see what Brock's Zubat's saw in the tunnel with Supersonic?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

168. Hook, Line and Stinker
When Meowth is used as bait, he doesn't have any problem being in the water. I thought he hated water, like he said in "Pokemon Shipwreck". "I hate water! Especially wet water!".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

170. A Better Pill to Swallow
When Victreebell comes out he is completely unaffected by the Shuckle potion. (You can tell because he doesn't have "heart eyes" like Meowth and the Shuckles) How is that possible?
At the end, Team Rocket is surrounded by Beedrill and Ursaring who are still infatuated due to the chemical effects of the faramone, a chemical released when purple Shuckle juice is drinken pure. But before that, Old Man Shuckle had thrown his faramone-reversal powder on Team Rocket. Why are the Beedrill and Ursaring still attracted to Team Rocket if the faramone effects had been erased by Old Man Shuckle?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

173. Wobbu-Palooza!
Why are Ash and Misty so amazed of Team Rocket acting good if they acted good in "Pikachu Re-volts"?
If Team Rocket wanted to steal the food, why didn't they just take it when they saw the crowd?
Why did Team Rocket try to steal the food if they were extremly nice to Wobuffet Village during the whole episode?
Or in any other case, why were Team Rocket punished for taking the food? They need food, they saved the town, and there was plenty to spare, so they pretty much EARNED it!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

174. Imitation Confrontation
How do Team Rocket not know what Mirror Coat is if Jesse talked about it in "Power Play"?
What makes the Mirror Coat goof even wierder was that Meowth tried to use Fury Swipe on Mini-dit turned Wobuffet and failed. His Fury Swipe didn't work against Wobuffet in "Power Play" so why did Meowth think Fury Swipe would work now?
Jessie called mini-arbok a rock type pokemon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

175. The Trouble With Snubbull
Jesse is willing to get rewarded for going something good in this ep, but in "Pikachu Re-Volts" she didn't like the idea of getting a reward for doing something good. Wierd or what?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

176. Ariados Amigos!
Wait...when Wobuffet comes out during Team Rocket's magician act, Jesse tells Wobuffet to come back in, but if Jesse didn't plan on Wobuffet coming, why is Wobuffet dressed like a magician?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Video
Pokemon: Mewtwo Returns
This movie marks the first time the good guys meet Giovanni. But for no reason at all, the good guys seem to already know him!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 4
182. The Tower Inferno! (a.k.a. A Ghost of a Chance)
Why did Team Rocket try to steal Togepi, if in "The Battle of the Badge" they brought Togepi to the Boss and he didn't want it?
Response to above. The only reason Giovanni didn't want Togepi in TBOTB is because Jesse and James didn't know its powers. By this time, they've probably figured out Togepi's powers.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

186. The Light Fantastic
How can Venusaur use Solar Beam at night?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

187. Unbearable
When we first see Nurse Joy in this episode, the medical cross on her hat is Purple. Then, a few scenes later, it is Orange, and then Purple again later. In this whole episode Nurse Joy's hat cross kept on changing. In the end it was a different color too, but that may have been from the colorated lighting of the land as the sun was setting.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

188. Moving Pictures!
Ash says about Articuno, "I wonder if it's really real?" but he saw Articuno In Pokemon 2000.
In "UnBEARable", Team Rocket got that troublesome Teddiursa who's now an Ursaring! But they attack our heroes, they don't use Ursaring, where did he go anyway?
Ash's Pokedex says that a sun stone can turn a gloom into a vileplume. This is not true. A leaf stone turns a gloom into a vileplume. A sun stone turns a gloom into a bellosom.
In this episode we learn that as far back as fifty years ago, people had known about and were training Sunflora. If this is true then why isn't Sunflora one of the original Pokemon? Why is it, and Sunkern it's pre-evolved form, considered a new Pokemon? Why did Ash need his Pokedex upgraded to be able to learn about Sunkern and Sunflora? And if the only way to get a Sunflora is to evolve a Sunkern with a Sunstone, why are sunstones considered new things if people had been evolving their Sunkerns for over fifty years? Why, in the episode with the Eevee brothers in the first season, wasn't a sunstone one of the stones in their collection of rare and valuable evolutionary stones from around the world? And if sunstones had been in use for about half a century, why wasn't Bellossom one of the original Pokemon as well if it is evolved from a Gloom by a sunstone? And since Sunkern and Sunflora learn Sunny Day, why isn't it one of the original attacks if Sunfloras were being trained as far back as five decades ago?
In this episode snap's name is turned to todd.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

189. Spring Fever
When Team Rocket is battling for the Swinub, Jesse orders Arbok to use a Fang attack, but no such attack exists. Maybe she meant Hyper Fang or Super Fang?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

190. Freeze Frame
Everyone acts like they have never seen Articuno, but they did in Pokemon The Movie 2.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

193. The Wayward Wobbuffet
Jesse tells Weezing to use smokescreen, but WEEZING ISN'T HER POKEMON!!
After Totodile gets hit by Golem, Goniff calls Totodile "TOTODIDDLE"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

196. The Poké Spokesman
Jenny: Pokémon can't understand a word humans say. Oh, really? Then how do they follow orders in battle? How do they know whether or not their trainers are bad-mouthing them? THINK, 4KIDS, THINK!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

199. The Heartbreak of Brock
How did Misty recognize Jessie so easily? She's been in disguise with the same hairstyle as usual but Misty didn't recognize her. She recognized her but not James? He had the same hairstyle as usual. Wierd!
How was Totodile able to defeat Arbok with ONE water blast? Arbok is very strong against plain water types. Remember "The Misty Mermaid"?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

206. The Kecleon Caper
In "The Stun Spore Detour" Victreebell lost to Polliwhirl when it was Poliwag, but here he beats Polliwhirl! How did THAT happen?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

208. Got Miltank?
How come in this episode, Meowth's bruises stay for awhile but other times, (like whenever Meowth is hit by James and/or Jesse) when he gets huge lumps, he heals instantly?
When Victreebell first appears, its lip is brown, and then its pink as usual.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

210. Machoke, Machoke Man!
When Bayleef had defeated Poliwrath, the announcer said that Ash and Bayleef had won the match, but they had only defeated one of Chucks two Pokemon.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Season 5

212. The Whirlpool Affair (a.k.a. Around the Whirlpool)
When Wobbuffet said "Wobbufet",the captioning read "Bulbasaur".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

214. The Corsola Caper
when misty captures corsola, she uses a lure ball. but in a later episode, when she throws out the ball, it is shown as a regular pokeball.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

218. The Perfect Match
When Ash asked Brock if Misty's Corsola's Mirror Coat would work against a Hyper Beam attack, Brock told him that Mirror Coat only works against water-type moves. This is incorrect-Mirror Caot is the brother attack to Counter. Counter counteracts Physical attacks, while Mirror Coat counteracts Special attacks, like Water, Fire, Dragon, Grass, Psychic, Dark, Electric, and Ice attacks. Even though it works against Water attacks, it doesn't only work against Water.
Adding to the above goof, if Mirror Coat only works against Water type attacks, how was Corsola able to use Mirror Coat on Chinchou's Spark attack?
If the competition is called "The Whirl Cup" why is first prize a medal? Shouldn't it be a trophy since its called "The Whirl Cup"?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

219. Plant it Now...Diglett Later!
Jesse says she's 10 times older than that 120 year-old lady, which would make her 12. But in "The Ultimate Test" she said she was 17! And in "The Bug Stops Here" she wasn't allowed in a contest because she was over 16!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

221. The Mystery is History
Just curious. If Ash & Co. remembered Lugia's part in the second movie, how come they didn't remember Articuno's part in the second movie?
Like Tracy in "Pikachu Re-Volts", Richie seems to already know Butch and Cassidy.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

222. A Parent Trapped
Crobat is blue!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

223. A Promise is a Promise
How come Giovanni wasn't involved in this three-parter?!!
We never find out what happened to Butch and Cassidy after the Mama Lugia blasted them!
The Butch and cassidy thing. Incorrectly considered a goof. That stuff happens all the time. What happened to Jigglypuff after it was in the mountain in "Freeze Frame"? How did the real Meowth get back after the Exam-Man got him in "The Ultimate Test"? How did the PMC and Team Rocket get seperated in "Wish Upon A Star Shape"? "Pokemon" isn't really concerned with continuity for villians and some other characters.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

224. Throw In The Noctowl
I was just wondering.... HOW DID ASH CLIMB UP THE SIDE OF THE PLANE??? there was absolutely NOTHING to hold onto!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

227. Espeon, Not Included
When James is saying the moto his glove is only half there.
When Brock was hiding behind Ash and said "You know I can't do that.tell em Ash.",his mouth didn't move.Maybe something else happened in the japanese version?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

231. Hatching a Plan (aka Phanpy's Phantastic Arrival)
When Team Rocket is trying to steal Phanpy, and they get zapped, Phanpy is also shocked, but only accidentally. This shouldn't happen, because Phanpy is a PURE Ground-type Pokemon, a catagorization of which are immune to Electric attacks. This is only proven again later, when Team Rocket has stolen Phanpy and finds out that it is good against Electric types!! If so, why did Phanpy get shocked in the first place?
At the end Ash says something like, "Wow, Phanpy! Now that I've seen you battle Team Rocket, I can't wait to see you in a Gym battle!". Ash is forgetting that Phanpy is only a newborn, and it beat Team Rocket simply because Team Rocket isn't the most powerful group of Pokemon trainers around (as we all know). Ash is supposed to TRAIN his Pokemon before he can beat down gym leaders with his Pokemon.
Why do mammalian Pokémon hatch from eggs anyway?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

233. Just Waiting On A Friend
Brock said, he had a Ninetails of his own a while back. But Vulpix never evolved.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

234. A Tyrogue Full Of Trouble (aka Fit to Be Tyrogued!)
Dexter says Tryogue is the evolved form of Hitmonlee, Hitmontop and Hitmonchan when really it's the PRE-evolved form of those pokemon.
Dexter said how Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan were related to Tyrogue. Why didn't Dexter mention anything about Hitmontop?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

236. Talkin' 'Bout an Evolution
Ash is on his way to Mahogoney to earn his 7th badge. But the narrator says his FINAL badge and Ash says his SIXTH badge!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

237. The Rage of Innocence
Whatever happened to Prof. Sebastian?!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

244. Same Old Song and Dance
When team rocket stole the twin Iggybuff Jigglypuff was hidding behind brittany but later appears in the bag.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

245. Enlighten Up!
Brock says that he is from Flint City, when he is actually from Pewter City.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

248. Outrageous Fortunes (aka Outrageous Rewards)
When Poliwrath was fighting Bayleef, it was the ninth battle that day. (Delaney said the battle with Poliwhirl was the eighth) Yet later Brock said it was Poliwrath's eighth battle!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

256. Why? Wynaut!
Ash said he got the Glacier Badge from Falkner, then he says he got it from Pryce. Nice translating, 4Kids!
When Ash is naming all of his badges, I think he calls the Plain badge the Flame Badge.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

263. Here's Looking At You, Elekid
The Pokedex said that Elekid was the evolved form of Electabuzz, but Elekid is actually the pre-evolved form.
James' new Weepinbell evolved in a battle, without a Leaf Stone.

31. The Ninja Poké-Showdown

Bulbasaur was probably at a higher level
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
40. March of the Exeggutor Squad
Melvin's Exeggcute evolved on their on, but Exeggcute only evolve when exposed to a leaf stone.
Reply: A sign leading into the forest warns of Exeggcute evelving into Exeggcutor. My guess is that leaf stones are buried in the ground.

In the episode Whichever Way the Wind Blows, it is explained that the dust from an evolution stone is enough to evolve a Pokemon

51. The Ultimate Test
The instructor tells James that electric attacks don't work on rock pokemon. This is not true. Pikachu's attack didn't work because Graveler is also a ground pokemon.

Actually, Graveler is a Rock Pokemon and it is true that Electric Attacks don't work against Rock types.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
56. Volcanic Panic
There is no such attack as an Aerial Sufficiant attack.

This is just a fancy name for Seismic Toss attack.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
70. Bad to the Bone
Pikachu defeats Marowak with an electric attack. But Ground-type pokemon are immune to electric attacks!

Again, Pikachu was probably at a higher level that Otoshi's Marowak.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
85. Pikachu Re-Volts
How does Ash not know what a Drowzee is if he saw one in "Hypno's Naptime"?

Ash always forgets Pokemon names.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
97. A Way Off Day Off!
When James was saying how he and Victreebell made a great team, his nose was three times bigger than normal! And then it's normal again!

This was put in there on purpose. It was to make James seem like Pinocchio (he told a lie, and his nose grew big)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
106. Pokemon Food Fight
When Ash Caught Krabby It Got Transported to prof.oaks lab because trainers are only allowed to have 7 pokemon. If Snorlax was past #7 How Come it Did not get transported?

Ash had SIX Pokemon at this point. They were Pikachu, Snorlax, Lapras, Bulbasaur, Charizard, and Squirtle.

A lot of these aren't actually mistakes, they just need explaining. I remember one blooper:

In All that Glitters, Ash was remembering how his Pokemon helped him win his badges. He mentions Charizard, Pidgeotto, Pikachu and Scyther. Ash never owned a Scyther! Also, when Ash said Pidgeotto, it showed Falkner's Pidgeot!

And Chinpokomon is right, electric attacks are ineffective against ground types, not rock types. For example, the Aron/Lairon/Aggron family is rock/steel and electric attacks work against them. It may not be super effective, but it does work.

The Wayward Wobbuffet

When Ash sends out Totodile I saw him come out of a regular Pokeball even though Ash caught him with a Lure Ball. It's hard to notice, but I've seen this episode at least 1000 times.

For Ho-oh the Bells Toll

Ash said he met Suicune. This was before he saw the picture of it. Plus he never looked it up. So how did he know the Pokemon he saw in "Don't Touch That 'Dile" was Suicune? He could have heard legends about it or something, but then why didn't he know about Ho-oh until Morty told him about the legend especially with Ho-oh being more "legendary" than Suicune?

Hatching a Plan

How did Phanpy get hurt by Pikachu's electric attack but it wasn't affected by falling in the river? Phanpy is immune to electricity & weak against water.

Pokemon: The First Movie

When Ash was battling the other trainer, the trainer sent out Machamp twice.

Meowth calls Sandslash "Sandshrew".

The Mystery is History

Why did Ash & James recognize Lugia but Meowth didn't? He saw it just as much as the others did in the 2nd movie.

Here Comes the Squirtle Squad

If Ash didn't get the Super Potion, Pikachu would "be in a lot of trouble". They never say what kind of trouble, giving the impression that it's nothing serious, even though Pikachu looks like it's about to die. Apparently 4Kids is trying to shield the concept of death from little kids, but when Ash gets to the Pokemart, everyone in it points a gun at his head. What, the kids can deal with the idea of Ash dying but not Pikachu? And in a much later episode Prof. Birch clearly states that Pikachu could explode at any second. Not "be in a lot of trouble", but "explode" as in "die a horrible death" as in "Pikachu could die a horrible death any second". So it seems at that point the kids could deal with the idea of Pikachu dying an even more horrible death than it would in "Here Comes the Squirtle Squad"?

Again about the gun thing: They banned the first Dratini episode because one guy had a gun, but here a whole bunch of people have guns & the episode wasn't banned? Make up your mind, 4Kids!

In a lot of the recent Johto episodes when Misty sends out Corsola, it's inside a PokeBall instead of a Lure Ball. The writers probably forgot she captured it with a Lure Ball.

In Fighting Flyer with Fire, Ash says that his Pidgeot helped save a bunch of Pidgeot that were under attack from a Fearow. Actually, Ash's Pidgeot saved Pidgey and Pidgeotto, not Pidgeot!

In Viva Las Lapras, Misty sends out Poliwag, Goldeen and Staryu. However, if you count the PokeBalls that she threw, there are four of them. Yet she only sent out three Pokemon.

In The Joy of Pokemon, Nurse Joy says that she's helping a sick Cloyster and asks if Ash and Tracey want to see it. When they go underwater, you can clearly see the "Cloyster" is actually a Shellder!

Pikachu learns Iron Tail in the anime. Excuse me if I'm wrong, but isn't that just impossible?

In Island of the giant Pokémon, that Slowpoke says his name, then he sits up straight, and he says 'Slowbro'. And he has the alternate-evolved shellder on his tail when he says Slowbro. But he didn't get the white glowy thing.

And in some episodes (I believe one of them was when Ash was battling for his Soul Badge) James crossed his arms. But on his right hand the part below the left arm had a glove, but the part above the left arm was just bare-handed

Some people say in that in the dub Jiraudan is named Geralden, and some saw that he is named Lawrence.

9th June 2003, 11:17 AM
I know that when I was watching Pokemon 2000 on VHS with the Closed Captioning, it said "Gelarden" or something like that. They never actually mentioned his name in the movie.

Here are some more bloopers:

In Princess vs. Princess, when Misty is planning the Pokemon she will use, she says she'll use Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Vulpix and Starmie. However, when she's down to one Pokemon, she says "I refuse to lose, so Staryu, it's all up to you!" Boy, she changes her strategy fast.

This one isn't just a blooper, but an inconsistancy. In Primeape Goes Bananas, Primeape just grunts and doesn't say its name. In The Punchy Pokemon, however, it says its name. And in every episode after that, Primeape just grunts.

Another inconsistancy is with Victreebel's voice. In The Breeding Center Secret, Victreebel said its name. In every episode after that, it just screams.

In The Mandarin Island Miss Match, Prima's Slowbro battles a Machamp. When the Machamp gets hit, it says "Machop!"

well, if he's heard of him then why did he quote from the book? Hmm.

dude, don't you pay attention? takeshi LOVES quoting things from guidebooks whether or not he actually knows. it's so he'll appear to be cool and an intellectual in front of the ladies

actually he likes to impress satoshi too, remember when he told him that he knew everything about the cerulean city gym leader, but he couldnt tell him who 'he' was or what his 'special move' was? naturally he had no friggin idea or he would have said 'they' or 'she' and would have recognized kasumi.

of course that's probably a dub error. speaking of dub errors maybe we should just ignore those, dubbers are idiots. they even went back in some episodes and re-dubbed "todd" as "snap" for some bizarre reason... is he a rice-krispy elf?

EmpressMyuu
6th July 2003, 10:49 PM
Well, I think that Todd actually sounds better than Snap and they should leave him as Todd. I mean, who names their kid Snap? I think the actual name of the character on Pokémon Snap was named Todd anyway. It makes more sense.

And as for giving info about Cerulean City's Gym Leader, Brock used "he" as a general statement. If he used "she", it would narrow down the character choices (studies show that the chances of giving birth to a girl are slightly less), and Ash would finally narrow it down to the fact that the Cerulean City Gym Leader is a certain girl named Misty that travels with them.

Well, just because Meowth's a pokemon, doesn't mean he knows of every single other pokemon. He'd have to go out into the world and see them for himself to learn about them. And don't forget, he lived in the city for a long time before he joined TR, and even then I'm guessing they only travelled around Kanto.

Meh, I just have to say this since this is the thread for it. In Pokemon The First Movie, everyone considers Jessie, James, and Meowth's errors on naming Pokemon errors in dubbing, but think about it. These 3 aren't to bright, they could of just got the names wrong. A Scyther shadow does resemble an Alakazam, so they may of just gotten confused, as with Meowth and Sandshrew/slash.
