Well I'm gonna engage you in pointless violence DRWS ^^ FUN!

Um... how about 2 vs 2 out at once? That'll be fun! Hell, lets make it the bouncy castle. Its a giant indestructable bouncy castle, one wall open for entering and exit, and around the bouncy castle is just normal but small amount of ground instead of water this time. And um... the ground is littered with abandoned 1) Showbags 2) food 3) Pointy objects 4) Carnie Corpses 5) Various other pieces of crap. And after the ground, there's the arena boundry, and hopefully we have a crowd.

*Little kids finish bouncing and run away*

Ok then, I'll choose first, you attack first.

DQ I week

Ref: Please ^^;

And for my battlers, I choose 1) Wheezing (male) OzWheez

2) Arbok (Female) OzBok

^^ This'll be interesting.

All right, we'll make this a mirror Poison match. Pneu'sis! Morgana! Charge forth!

Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis (Pneu'sis for short) is a Grimer, and Fata Morgana is a Gengar. They are male and female, respectively.

Morgana, pin the Weezing down on the face by hurtling the Arbok onto him with a Psychic toss... most of Weezing's attacks are sight-oriented, so we cripple him temporarily by doing so. Pneu'sis, fire your Zap Cannon at the two - if we're lucky, we'll manage to paralyze both with it, since carbon conducts electricity very well. If the Arbok escapes, at least the Weezing will likely be crippled - he has to wait for the Arbok to get off of him before he can begin to dodge.

Now, Pneu'sis, Body Slam the Arbok on its back as Morgana reels it in close with another Psychic... avoid looking directly into its eyes, though. That's a must. Morgana, keep the psionic stretching going with Weezing; Pneu'sis, you follow up with a Mega Punch.

Pneu'sis: Zap Cannon (Arbok\Weezing), Body Slam (Arbok), Mega Punch (Arbok)

Morgana: Psychic (Arbok, pin Weezing), Psychic (bring Arbok close and stretch at the same time), Psychic (Weezing)

Ok Arbok, first off, dive off the bouncy castle, and tunnel underground with Dig.

Wheezing, use a smokescreen so you can block their view and get out of that Psychic Grasp. Then I want you to fire some Psybeams if you see them Ok. But if the smokescreen starts to dissapate, do another one Ok.

Arbok, now I want you to stay underground before finally leaping back up and use a Beat Up/Bite or a Pursuit on the Ghost. Your choice.

Wheezing - Smokescreen - Psybeam /Smokescreen - Psybeam /Smokescreen

Arbok - Dig - Stay Underground - Attack with your choice of Dark Type Move.

:\ Good luck DRWS

Well DRWS seemed a bit confused by my attack for Arbok, so let me clarify.

1) Jump off the castle and into the ground using Dig.
2) Stay underground to avoid an attack
3) Jump out of the hole and use a dark attack (Beat Up/ Pursuit/ Bite on the Gengar)

So yeah. Hope that's clarified.

Battle:

A second Bouncy castle of divine proportions is dropped from the heavens to house a battle, nay a war, of unmatched devastation. For only a Bouncy Castle of such irrefutable durability and bounciness could house the conflict of such lethal warriors. For even a successfully spilling the opponent’s precious lifeblood is a risk, for every able-bodied gladiator’s blood is saturated with fatal toxins. The challenger, a bard of no small reputation releases his pair of warriors, a pairing lacking any historical or common connection. The cobra and the floating depth charge prepare to batter their similarly noxious opponents into the ever so rubbery castle. Facing the serpent and animated explosive is an equally toxic pair, a willowy cloud of animated gas and an equally unlikely animated puddle of sludge. The four warriors of pestilence face off within the castle, the animated orb and condensed gas cloud simply hovered over the obstacles while the large snake and pool of death simply slither or slide over the inconvenient road blocks, the reaction spawned as Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis slurps over a decaying corpse of a carnie attracts the audience with a morbid spectacle. The toxins quickly ravage the already weather damaged carcass, quickly eating away the molding flesh.
Inside the bouncy castle of doom death and dead carnies, the four gladiators prepares to meet out death and destruction a pone each for no other purpose than the enjoyment of their masters. The cobra coils, preparing to strike with the alacrity common in all cobras. Launching herself into the air, the cobra’s momentum will easily carry her clear of the castle’s edge, or would have if the extreme mental prowess possessed by Fanta Morgana. The billowing congealed cloud turns her serpentine opponent’s momentum around, allowing the momentum to carry the cobra directly into the floating purple depth charge. The two partners are sent careening through the air, the snake is unable to extricate herself from her opponent’s floating form. While the cobra’s attempt to burrow beneath the ground was hindered, the orb simply turns the wild spinning into an effective tool for spreading his cloud of smoke through out the rubbery castle, obscuring the view of the opaque blue walls. Pneu'sis is forced to release the electrical charge into the blinding cloud. The electrical orb arcs wildly through the air, but to the annoyance of it’s manufacturer, it fails to connect with either of the intended targets.

As the melee without a purpose continues to rage, the pool of sludge slurps across the rubbery folds of the arena, blindly seeking his target, the female serpent hidden within the fog. His gelatinous form moves toward his opponent’s general location, his entire body acting as an olfactory to locate his opponent’s rather unique sent. As the Oz pair successfully untangles themselves from one another, OzBok again attempts to slither out of the castle, an unimpressive feat to follow the flow of smoke out of the rubbery confines. Yet as she nears the lip of the castle, she is slammed to the ground as a pool of sludge named after a disease drives her head into the rubbery floor. The sound generated from OzBok’s head bouncing off the rolls of the floor is sufficient noise to allow the gas cloud to drag the cobra back into the castle with another application of telekinesis. However as force drags the serpent toward her opponent, her head is dragged along faster than her tail, stretching the snake out more effectively than the worst, or best depending on how you view the matter, medieval wrack. The Arbok hisses in pain as her body is stretched, she can feel her muscles elongate to the point of snapping. OzWeez correctly assumes that his obscuring cloud will last long enough for him to snap off a single ray of psionic energy before the concentration is low enough to allow for proper targeting. However he fails to see the logic in his trainers orders, Psybeam if he can visually locate either of his opponents but disrupt visual targeting if it because an option. Unwilling to risk his precious energy, the floating depth charge simply hovers above the rolls of the castle.

Simply awaiting the cloud to exit the castle, the floating purple sphere releases a second cloud of smoke, sufficiently obscuring visibility within the castle. Morgana releases her current target, dropping her scaled hide to the arena floor, to seek out her floating opponent. Unable to locate her opponent within the increasingly dense cloud, Morgana is force to concede after long moments searching out her opponent. Tracking the cobra’s form through the cloud by the bouncing on the rubbery platform, Pneu'sis prepares to slam into his opponent. Forming his head into spherical blob, he drives his form into her chest, knocking the breath from her lungs with a single blow. OzBok is cursing her inability to escape her opponents’ battering. She attempts to slither along the castle’s flooring to search out her opponent, but within the thick cloud of smoke, she is unable to locate her floating opponent.

I have no problem with you reffing, only with the huge 40% + Damage dealt to my Arbok in one round :\ That's an astonishing amount dealt don't you agree. That's the only prob I have.

But for Arbok, perhaps its time to use a Glare whenever you can get eye-contact with the opponants, but in the meantime, to shake things up, use an earthquake on the bouncy castle, hopefully you can send Grimer flying at least.

Then perhaps using a Pursuit on Gengar and finish off with Beating it up.

-Arbok = E-Quake - Pursuit/Glare - Beat Up/Glare

OzWheez, perhaps you should stick to some long range attacks, start off with perhaps Biding your time.

-Bide X 3.

40% I agree is a great deal, but it was struck with psychic twice, mega punch and body slam in that same round. The scale I use for damage apparently is a bit higher than what most people use.

A brief summery to save time: base damage is 5/10/15/20. Same type attack bonus shifts it to the next damage level, in the case of 20 it becomes 25. Weakness is 1.5 while resistance is .5.

Hmmm... looks like OzBok slithered out of your pinning, Pneu'sis. But it looks like we got the job done anyhow.

Morgana, split off a floating Substitute with minimal health, and see that it keeps in "eye contact" with OzBok all round. With any luck, OzBok will be spending her last two actions Glaring at the Substitute, as per OzAndy's substitutions.

Pneu'sis, try to hang on for the time being. The bulk of the Earthquake shockwave is going to be absorbed by the inflated rubber castle you're in, so you all you have to worry about is just being sent flying into the rubber walls of the castle (which probably isn't going to hurt too much anyway). Try to spread yourself out so that you can stick to the castle more easily.

Now, Pneu'sis, when OzBok Glares at Morgana's Substitute, she's going to have to stay still to maintain his eye contact, so target her with another Zap Cannon whenever she stays still long enough.

Morgana, you can help him by keeping OzBok still with your Psychic stretch grip. Afterwards, stare OzWheez down with your Hypnotizing.

Pneu'sis: spread out to reduce chance of being sent flying, Zap Cannon (OzBok, preferably when she's Glaring at something) x2

Morgana: Substitute (small), Psychic (OzBok), Hypnosis (OzWheez)

Battle:

Between the two pairs of lethal warriors, a willingness to beat the other into a bloody pulp for no other reason than to entertain their masters that defies all logic. Pneu'sis prepares for the coming seismic activity by spreading himself out over a single bulge in the Bouncy Castle of Dead Carnies! Yet the logic behind exposing more of his body to the vibrations that are expected to ravage the castle. A mere heartbeat after Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis finishes spreading himself out over the arena floor, OzBok induces an earthquake, the epicenter located directly below herself. The seismic wave rips through the invincible bouncy castle, the hovering ghost and depth charge are unscathed, while the same cannot be said for the distended sludge. The waves course through the unbreakable rubber, ravaging the Grimer’s body. While the castle is indestructible, being a ‘bouncy castle’ implies the ability to bounce when forces are exerted on it, the degree of bounce is directly proportional to the force applied. As such, the amount of force applied by let’s says an earthquake would cause the bouncy castle to transfer the energy in an extremely dangerous fashion. Add to the equation, the massive difference in resistance the bouncy castle would apply compared to having the waves transferred through the soil the damage dealt increases a great deal. Add to it the state of the unfortunate liquid pool having spread himself out across the bouncy castle exposing more of his body to the ravaging seismic waves. An echoing groan of anguish is torn from the Grimer’s body as he is put through an experience that can only be equated to a blender. As Fata Morgana is forced to helplessly watch her partner being torn apart, she forges a floating decoy to simply meet her opponent’s gaze. Focusing as little of her own precious life force into the doll to animate it as possible, the Gengar has forged a perfect duplicate of herself. OzWheez, overjoyed at the revenge had by his partner, simply summons a faint aura to duplicate any energy he is made to suffer. Yet to his annoyance, no offense is launched. The violence of shifting within the castle forced a much larger percentage of the smoke out of the cloud than had originally been expected, the four warriors can clearly locate each other through the gray tinted air.

Finding it difficult to appear menacing while so bruised and battered, combined with the glassy eyed look over her specter of an opponent rather disturbing, OzBok summons an aura of darkness to carrier her the two feet into the air to allow the cobra to strike her gaseous foe. As the negative energy crackles through the decoy cloud, the reeling Pneu'sis releases a polarized orb in an attempt to strike the cursed OzBok. The decoy crumbles under the assault. Unfortunately for the Grimer, the electrical charge arcs to the left, missing the Arbok by well over three feet, to connect harmlessly with the flooring of the castle. Still OzWheez maintains his barely discernable aura as he is ignored. As Fata curses her serpentine opponent, she crushes her opponent’s body with a cruel grasp. Releasing the grip heart beats later, OzBok visibly sags at the release of the grip. To the Oz pair’s annoyance, the smoke screen has completely exited the castle, what little was left exited through the netting at the top of the castle.

OzBok manages to force Fata Morgana to lock gazes with her, forcing the toxic ghost into a cowering state hindering muscle control. Fata Morgana is unable to break eye contact with her coiled opponent to force the floating explosive into unconsciousness. Pneu'sis again targets OzBok with a sphere of electrical annihilation. As the orb arcs wildly through the air, Pneu'sis can only hope to return the favor for the earlier shake down. To Pneu'sis’s ever lasting joy the orb connects with the slumbering snake’s body with a resounding crack as the current races through her body. As OzBok’s body spasms wildly in electrically spawned nervous reactions, as the current continues to course through her body, she wishes for the blissful numbness of unconsciousness. Again OzWheez attempts to maintain his barrier against nonexistent attacks, yet finds none are launched. At this point, the wheezing is unable to continue concentrating on the field.

Well OzBok, its time to use your Sig Move, as a how do we say... DESPERATION MOVE!

So finish off with CRIKEY! And if you can, jump off the castle and bury underground, its bound to help you out a bit. Hopefully seeing an idiot in action will distract the Gengar and Grimer long enough to make your get away.

OzBok- Arbok - Female
Sig Move - CRIKEY!
Description - OzBok lowers her head and rears back suddenly and remembers the time she was in the wild, caught by the Croc Hunter and injured and put on TV.
Suddenly the Croc Hunter - Steve Irwin and his wife Terri and a camera man jump out of seemingly no-where, but they were actually watching the entire time.
When they jump out one of three things happen to the opponent:
1) Steve Irwin jumps on the opponent and relentlessly wrestles it, causing fighting damage.
2)Terri pulls out an Electric Cattle Prod and deals electric damage and paralyses the area it hit.
3)Terri pulls out a gun loaded with poison darts and puts the opponent to sleep for 3-6 attacks.
Once that happens they hold onto the opponent for a turn and say catchprases like
Steve: Crikey! - What a Beauty! - Look at those deadly ect
Terri: Be careful steve! - I'll get a stick and poke it! ect
They also give a little spiel on the Pokemon and then leave, supposedly doing no damage to anyone.
The reason they do this to the opponent is because they want to put them on televison and so they get cash through various sources to try and save the world...
Misc -
-Arbok cannot attack the Pokemon the Croc Hunter is attacking during the attack.
-One Time use per Battle.
-Ref Chooses which of the three effects happen.

Arboks's Part: Accuracy - 95%. | Damage - 0% | Type - Normal

If 1): Accuracy - 80% | Damage - 20% | Type - Fighting

If 2): Accuracy - 80% | Damage - 15% | Effects: Area Paralysis if hit. | Type - Electric

If 3): Accuracy - 80% | Damage - 2% | Effects: 3-6 Attacks of sleep | Type: Poison (Affects Poison}

=CRIKEY! - Dig underground and hide

And Wheezing, shut up that screeching, which is BOUND to cause some kind of civil dispute because of noise pollution with a well aimed Psybeam. And then give one to Gengar, and finally, I want you to fire a Zap Cannon at either one. And I don't think you'll be attracted by a ghost :\ Cause come on, how will you do the deed ;) lol.. I'll shut up now.

=Psybeam X 2 and Zap Cannon.

Battle:

As this battle within the Bouncy castle of doom continues, the weakening serpent recalls how he was captured and forced to appear on TV. Just as the stroll down memory lane ends, Steve Irwin and his wife Terri and their camera man appears out of no where, apparently they had hidden behind the numerous corpses littering the area around the castle. As they enter the castle, Terri stumbles and falls mere steps into the rubbery construct. Both OzWheez and Fata Morgana prepare to bear the fruits of their concentration, an unmatched pair of psionic attacks. At the sight of his personal idol, Pneu'sis releases an ear splitting scream of joy, shattering the precious concentration, the effort of focusing their minds into lethal implements of destruction quickly becomes fruitless. Fata Morgana can only glare at her partner in annoyance as he wraps around Steve Irwin’s left leg. Panicking at the sudden shift from battle ready puddle of goo to a puddle of goo suddenly encompassing his foot, he shoots a single dart into the sludge like puddle’s form. The fast acting toxin quickly forces the Grimer into unconsciousness. The Gengar can only shutter and stare at the spectacle that her partner has become.

Even as Steve Irwin begins his line of accented background information on the deadly Grimer, OzBok dives from the confines of the rubbery castle and parts the earth before her. She burrows through the soil at an unearthly rate while her partner turns toward the stuttering Gengar. As the Gengar turns from her fallen partner to reanalyze the situation she is greeted with a sudden turn for the worse, which of the two she feels compromises her more she is unsure. Whether her faltering target disappearing from sight or her partner falling into a fitful slumber at his idol’s leg is the cause for the bulk of the sudden pangs of fear coursing up and down her spine. As the vaporous ghost attempts to locate her opponent by levitating out of the castle, abandoning her slumbering ally to locate her target. The only hint she can find is a largish hole in the soil, she concludes that her opponent has burrowed beneath the arena to avoid her. As Fata Morgana turns back to the castle, she hears the ending of Irwin’s monologue as a beam of scintillating colors strikes her from behind. The ray’s energy washes over the toxin rich warrior, leaving her mind and body ravaged under its potent force.

As Steve Irwin and his crew retreat from the castle, Steve stumbles over the hole left in OzBok’s wake, OzWheez summons an orb of polarized particles. As the orb arcs wildly through the air Fata attempts to avoid the orb by raising herself above it’s unpredictable course. Mere meters before the sphere reaches it’s target, it arcs directly into the rubbery construct, diffusing it’s charge harmlessly against it. Fata Morgana trembles at the near miss, had that connected it would likely have spelled her doom.

Yeah... go me :P

Wheezing - Male - OzWheez
Sig Move - Azura SARSDust
Description - Wheezing be a master of.. or rather an unfortunate individual who possesses the powers of a respiratory disorder. Wheezing harnesses a powder inside its body which is a lovely shade of off white and releases it through the many holes on its body. This dust when breathed in by anyone will lead to a mutation of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome.
After they breathe in the dust after 6 Actions or two rounds, it will get to action. The opponent will have a severe problem with its lungs as such, having a terrible difficulty to breathe as such as their lungs fill up with blood/bodily fluids. This can lead to them gasping for air, stopping what they are doing and screaming for help. After 6 Actions Azura Stardust Will turn up with the antidote in a large Acme spray guy in gas form and spray it all around the arena, instantaneously killing the SARS and making them all better from SARS symptoms.
However Azura can arrive before 6 actions if the Pokemon/Trainer sacrifices an action ringing her up to which she will arrive in 3 actions.
Misc-
- 1 Time Use Only.
- Affects Everyone/Thing But OzWheez.
- Ineffective on Pokemon that do not have respiratory functions - Ie. Gastly, Misdreavus.

While OzBok enters desperately focuses her mind and enters her trance the battle above her continues to rage. As Pneu'sis releases a single rumbling snore from within the confines of the castle, his partner floats back out of the castle and into the soil in an attempt to locate her target. Yet even the ghost needs to surface at some point, returning to the surface as her search proved fruitless the ghost breaches the surface to watch as a cloud of a white powder bursts free from every pore of his body. The powdery cloud quickly settles within the indestructible castle, the unfortunate slumbering Grimer is the only soul who inhales the noxious organisms. As the virus begins to reproduce in his acidic body, twinges of pain course through the sleeping puddle’s form.

The infected puddle once again releases a rumbling snore, dealing minimal damage to the floating OzWheez. Returning the favor, OzWheez releases a wave of scattered psionic energy to strike the Grimer. Fata Morgana prepares to act as a battery, willing to accept the psychic waves to turn the energy back on her opponent, yet she is unable to maneuver in front of the erratic waves. As the entranced cobra lounges within the ground, she mumbles within something about yet another shift in the plates. While the precursor to the quake is unheard the quake itself is painfully obvious to slowly waking puddle of sludge. Again the ground shifts, ravaging the puddle’s form and launching the powder back into the air. As Fata Morgana draws breath, she inhales the powder. The now painfully awake Grimer curses his opponent’s wandering mind.

As both of Don’t Run With Scizor’s warriors act as batteries, preparing to except the ravaging of the psychic waves and return the damage later. However the erratic waves only strike the vaporous ghost. Still within the ground, OzBok mumbles of an uncolored sphere surrounding her, an orb surrounds her momentarily, warding her from all damage that could have come. Fata Morgana releases the stored energy, cutting deeply into the depth charge’s psyche

Whoa, whoa, whoa...

- OzBok should have 35% health remaining, not 50% as you stated.

- Wouldn't the Earthquake cause the tunnel in which OzBok is hiding to collapse?

- Fata Morgana releases the stored energy, cutting deeply into the depth charge’s psyche Where's the damage, then?

- Something is definately wrong when Earthquakes start 3KOing Pneu'sis, especially when he's sitting on a bouncy castle that should be acting as a shock absorber.

- Since SARS, the hanta virus and the like damage by flooding the lungs with fluid, how do you expect it to affect a Pokémon who's composed of liquid sludge?

- Glare's ability to paralyze depends on fear. How does it continue to paralyze, especially since OzBok, who originally Glared in the first place, is now cowering asleep beneath the castle?

Andrew

Just a note on Glare: In that race episode where Ash rode a Rapidash, Arbok used glare on Squirtle and Pikachu who were at the time eating. They didn't seem particularly unparylzed until they snabbed 3rd place at the end of the race.

And about Grimer's breathing capacity, we really don't know what is inside it do we? It could have 5 hearts and 1 lung, or it could be just one large pile of goop. So yeah.

That's about it. :| And to think I was talking to Imp earlier about this very kind of thing lol.

The way I handle rest is a 20% boost for the first action, and 5% or 8% there after, 50% is correct by the way I handle rest.

Yes the tunnel collapsed, my apologizies for not mentioning it, Earthquake didn't damage the sleeping Arbok due to the lack of recoil it normally possess. I believe I explained by logic for the damage dealt by Earthquake. However it should have dealt less damage compared to the Earthquake from the prior round due to the distance between them.

The only pokemon, to my knowledge, that doesn't breath is the porygon line due the belief that it is the only pokemon who could survive in space. This includes the pokemon cited as examples in OzAndrew's signature move, the ghosts are alive, an assuption made repeatedly in the rules tower, then it would have to breath. If I am wrong, please allow me to correct it.

Poor syntax on my part, Fata Morgana suffered one Psywave, 5% base that became 7% with weakness. Bide dealt 7% psychic damage to OzWheez, which became 10% with weakness.

Glare causes a lasting chemical imbalance in the brain, a temporary phobia, it isn't a conscious fear of the opponent.

Allow me to add the SARs counter to the stats for the end of the round.

Thanks Cyrus, but I'll wait for DRWS for another 3 days, if he doesn't contact by then, the call is up to you. I'll try contact him on AIM or MSN. Thanks for reffin'

Meh... I have reservations about the castle not acting as some sort of shock absorber for the Earthquake.

Yes the tunnel collapsed, my apologizies for not mentioning it, Earthquake didn't damage the sleeping Arbok due to the lack of recoil it normally possess.

If he was buried, then mention it somehow. I don't see any mention of that, nor do I see OzBok taking any extra damage from being buried alive.

Pneu'sis, let's try to keep you alive as long as possible. You've seen two Earthquakes; use those as a template for Mimicking a seismic disturbance of your own. Unleash those same Earthquakes whenever you can, but Disable OzWheez if he goes after you. Endure this round the best you can.

Morgana, distract OzWheez! Swagger him into a rage as he futilely attempts to unleash his Frustration into your phased form, then Hypnotize him to sleep. Suck out his dreams if you successfully do so.

Pneu'sis: Earthquake (via Mimicking), Disable (if OzWheez attacks), or Endure (if OzWheez successfully attacks) as necessary

Morgana: Swagger (distract), Hypnosis (if angry and not asleep) or Dream Eater (if asleep) as necessary

Andrew
19th June 2003, 09:51 PM
Ozbok, continue to sleep away :)

OzWheezing, stop all those sight based attack with a smog, that should make it even harder to breathe :) Then I want you to screech as much as you can while moving around to lower their defence. If your cover looks like its going to fail, put up another smokescreen or smog.

Battle:

As the battle within and or under the Bouncy castle of dead carneys continues, Fata Morgana attempts to buy her faltering partner the necessary time to imitate the OzBok’s seismic assault. Cursing her depth charge opponent’s inability to land a solid blow against her. Yet the obscene gestures are unseen in the billowing cloud of smoke, while the verbal assault is sufficient to anger the floating explosive it fails to induce the blinding rage. But with all of the difficulties that his partner is experiencing, Pneu'sis manages to succeed in his desperate attempt to duplicate the seismic activity OzBok had wielded so effectively. The single wave rips through the arena, sending the castle into more convulsions, yet leaves the combatants within the castle unharmed. The same cannot be said for the poor serpent huddles within her collapsed tunnel. She is ravaged by the waves ripping through her form, a truly unenviable position.

Inside the billowing cloud, the humanoid ghost attempts to force her way into her adversary’s mind, yet is unable to make lock gazes with her opponent. Her puddle of sludge companion again attempts to duplicate the effects of his opponent’s most lethal assault, yet fails to properly duplicate the necessary actions, most likely due to the ear splitting wail that a banshee would be envious of. OzBok continues to slowly heal within her mineral cocoon.

Through the obscuring haze, Fata Morgana again attempts to force her hovering opponent to sleep, yet the eye contact required to perform the move is denied to her. A minor miracle occurs when Pneu'sis focuses through the mental haze generated by the wailing Wheezing to generate another seismic wave, driving the cobra to the brink of unconsciousness. Yet a fit of hacking coughs overwhelms the sludge, blood coalescing in his lungs.

Secondly - Bide does NOT deal back TYPED damage. It is always a NORMAL TYPE ATTACK and thus will respond with nothing but Normal damage.

Battle:

This battle continues as the combatants near the edge of endurance and or the limits of their stamina. Yet none of the combatants are willing to simply lie down and die. As the corporal ghost attempts to relax, a fit of hacking coughs erupts as he body attempts to expel the blood filling her lungs. The violent seizures are sufficient to send her into relatively mild convulsions. Pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanokoniosis is also suffering from the same disease. His natural breathing apparatus is filled with blood, both he and his partner are slowly drowning in their own blood and their bodies’s attempts to purge the blood from their lungs is almost worse than the pain induced by the disease itself. The mental focused required to duplicate the unfamiliar technique exists the puddle’s mind at the moment as his body convulses. The earthquake rips through the arena, finishing off the buried cobra. OzWheez succeeds at locating his target through the haze and adds a minor state of confusion to his current state while his blast rips through his liquid form. Unwilling to leave the unconscious combatant in an extremely compromising and probably lethal position, the referee sends a Steelix to burrow through the soil and drag the fallen serpent above ground to be recalled.

As the two coughing opponents convulse an the rubbery floor as the floating depth charge again levels a second radiant beam of psionic energy to strike the faltering Grimmer. The blow isn’t sufficient to force the Grimmer into unconsciousness, but just by a hair’s breath. The two ailing warriors are unable to produce any desired effects as the haze clears away. A third and final burst of psychic energy violently forces his target into unconsciousness as the coughing fit continues to ravage his form. Managing to force her way though the fit of coughing, Fata Morgana manages to burn the bulk of OzWheez’s energy.

A single order of "Take a break" or something similar, do nothing qualifies, will recover 10-15% energy. Repeated use in the same round reduces the effectiveness.

Andrew
29th June 2003, 06:24 PM
The OzAndy: Bah! That's not fair she should still lose some health!

Yeah, even though Curse failed, the health sacrifice should still come off of her health dude :( Otherwise the risk of making a curse is non-existant and not fair :\ That's why you should only ever use Curse when you're 2nd ;)

Besides, if someone fails a curse they can continually go "MAKE A CURSE TILL IT WORKS!" And that's not fair. Curse is a strong move and shouldn't be taken lightly. That's what the HP sacrifice is for.

Cyrus
29th June 2003, 06:35 PM
I agree that it is a potent move, but the forfeited HP can be reclaimed at any point in the sum of doubling their current HP. An order of "Curse until successful" would function. On further consideration I recognized that and redid the last round. My apologizies for the confusion.

Andrew

I'm still confused... So you're saying the health sacrificed you can get back at any time?!

Cyrus
29th June 2003, 07:39 PM
When curse is preformed, half of the pokemon's current HP is forfeited. At any time the curse can be lifted by the user to have his current HP doubled. (Ex. Ghost A is at100% and forfeits 50% (1/2 of current) to place the curse. 2 rounds later Ghost A is at 30% and breaks the curse, his HP doubles to 60.) While the curse is in effect, the user (Ex. Ghost A) cannot regenerate HP by any means.

Morgana, Psych Up OzWheez's not-so-enraged state even as he taunts you - try to maintain the telepathic link as long as possible - so that by the time he's done spamming insults the telepathic link will ensure you'll be just as full of emotion as he is, which, quite frankly, doesn't look like much at the moment.

Quickly phase through the indestructible rubber and find a big, empty air pocket to sit out the rest of the match - that shouldn't be too hard, considering this is an giant inflatable castle. You'll have plenty of air to breathe if you relax and conserve your strength.

Psych Up, phase into large air pocket within the castle, relax and conserve oxygen

Sigh... as much as I'd like to complain how just because a substance is indestructible, it does NOT mean that it can't be phased through (especially when there's no mention of it in the arena text), but since poor Morgana was unlucky enough to be burned anyway, it wouldn't matter since the burn would probably finish her off anyway.

Nice work, OzAndy, though I doubt you would've fared off so well if you hadn't had OzBok Rest early in the battle... Only Impereon seems to have beaten me without me handicapping myself or resorting to cheaper tactics:

- Dark Dragonite's Snubbull vs. Ascii, my Unown
- TMM's Charizard vs. Ascii
- Syberia, whose Porygon2 proceeded to conjure up a massive Substitute and Rest away the health loss in a shimo-style tag-team match
- And now, OzBok who Rested away and forced me to spend a few more rounds having to deal with her, while OzWheez got off scot-free and Pneu'sis went down a few rounds early because of a lucky Earthquake.

Is there no one who can defeat me without having to handicap myself or resorting to stuff like Rest?
