This idea came to me while I was playing my sapphire game. I noticed how huge the ocean is from Lilycove to Pacifidlog in this large area is also of course Sootopolis and Mossdeep City. Now the last 2 badges are out in that ocean, so how is Ash going to get there? Right Know Ash was taken to Dewford and will be taken to Slateport by Mr. Briney however I don't think the captain will take Ash and friends across this next ocean.

So I thought this might be a repeat of the orange islands and Ash and co. will be ferried by some pokemon. Right now Ash's only water is corphish who isn't big enough for the job of carrying 3 people on it's back. However this might be a hint that corphish will evolve, still I don't think Crawdaunt is big enough. But I don't think Ash will get a second water type instead I have a few theories:

*Brock's mudkip evolves all the way into a Swampert
*Ash's Corphish evolves all the way into a Crawdaunt
*May could either get a feebas or a spheal if either evolved all the way they would be big enough to ride on.

Know I don't think Swampert, Crawdaunt, or Walrein are big enough to carry 3 people on there backs. What could happen is all 3 do evolve to there final level then each one of their trainers could ride there own pokemon. However that's alot of evolving and pokemon has never been big on evolving to the 3rd level.

But my other theory is if May did catch a Feebas and then Evolve it into a Milotic , it appears big enough to carry 3 on it's back. this seems more realistic compared to the other theory, and would make alot of people happy. (or they could use Masato as a raft:D , however im sure he would be long gone by then)

Those are my theories feel free to rip them apart or make your own. Just post some opinions.

Wailord would also most certainly get the job done too.

Or Lapras either returns, or they take a ferry like they did for almost all the other times they traveled across the ocean.....

I forgot to mention that if these theories do happen in some sort of way it could mean the return of the magikarp sub for team rocket or maybe a feebas sub?

I don't see them taking a ferry it's along way's between each city, this would be a perfect opportunity to have "fillers" Ash and friends could meet the hunter or meet various water pokemon or go to the cave where all those spheal are (and maybe catch one?). And although there are no islands (besides the cities with gyms) along this ocean the writers could throw some in there to show off more pokemon. and they might show off "dive" the gang can explore the various deep parts of the ocean. It just seems there is to much to do, it is perfect "filler" material. I just don't see a ferry doing all this for Ash and co.

You forgot about Brock's Lotad. =P Lombre's dish would be big enough for Masato (eh.. the little kid) to sit on... if he stays with the group (he's still with them, right? I never hear about him in these episode summaries...). Brock (or Haruka) could probably sit down on lombre's lilypad thing. So that would take care of one person. =P

The fact that Brock is going to specialise in water pokemon probably means that, if they are going to travel across the oceans on pokemon, there'll be plenty that can carry them. There'll be even more water-types to carry the heroes if the dreams of a lot of people come true (not including me) and Misty returns.

As for Team Rocket's means of transport... they always have their magikarp/gyarados submarine.

When they do cross the water maybe team rocket will have a new one. Maybe a feebas or how ever you spell it because its like magikarp.

The easiest way for the Powers That Be to handle this would be like this: Have Ash's Lapras (and her pod) turn up just in time to carry her old Trainer across the waves. The Lapras family then remain in the area until it is time for Ash to return. Lapras might possibly join Ash's default team for the duration, but I doubt it.

I agree. Lapras should return temporarily if not permanently, because it's already grown and matured, and it would be a great Pokemon for Ash. He could use it from Lillycove to Pacifidlog and then officialy catch it.

your right i did forget lotad! oh well

i agree it would be the easiest thing to do, to have lapras return but that's no fun. And IF it did come back and then to have it join Ash's team.... i don't know, i really hope they don't do that, i don't have anything against lapras, I just rather an AG pokemon take them.

I doubt that lapras will return to Ash's team, given that it's now the leader of its pod.

Well, if Lapras is a no-no, then I think May or Brock getting a Feebas and evolving it sounds best. But a Milotic seems too slender.

I think Brock will catch a Wailord because it just fit perfectly!

It is big enough to hold 5 or 6 people.

Misty catching a Wailord could also be a possibility, ofcourse if she returns.

I like the idea of either Misty coming back, or using Masato as a raft! :D

No, seriously, I think that the writers/producers/Pokegods probably know what they're going to do, and knowing them, it's probably something lame like taking a ferry or something. Maybe it'll be something unique like the blimp they took to Valencia.

... Wailord is big enough to carry at least 100 people. I don't think anyone will get it because it's just way too huge.

Lapras coming back seems pretty probable (even though it'd seem pretty near impossible that Lapras comes back RIGHT when they need it if this was real life). But I don't want it to come back. Maybe they'll come across a pod of some OTHER (new) water pokemon. For all we know, a bunch of Sealeo come along, and the group uses 4 of them as slaves to get them across the ocean. =P

I agree with RyuukoAremi wailord is just to huge, besides the ocean there would be no place for brock to use it, he couldn't and wouldn't use it.

But the idea of wailord got me thinking what they might do is make friends with a wailord who could take them around, without anyone officially catching it. Of course this is just a recycling of the lapras storyline from orange islands but recycling ideas is apart of pokemon.

And Misty Coming back? I know many people want this but even Tracy stayed for all of the orange islands saga, but poor May is already getting the heave-ho from the show, I see her staying around.

*imagines a new running gag with Brock accidentally letting Wailord out and crushing the floor*

Ah, I wish.

Feebas for Haruka sounds most likely. Haruka said she wanted to focus on contests rather than battling, and Feebas is the most well-known Pokemon to evolve based on beauty. Whether or not that could ferry them is a different story.

I think they'll make a new friend for the ocean trips. If they're following the Team Magma/Team Aqua storylines, they might find a way to follow them to Sootopolis via a sub or something.

Besides, what about the Sea Captain? I'm sure he's making all kinds of boats.

Heh, maybe they can buy a boat or something from Lillycove and use it? Brock could drive it, and there could be a cabin there, kinda like Jaws.

Maybe the kid from the Secret base episode with Nincada (i think thats his name, i mix that family up) can return with a water type like Wailord? Or, just like before, i guess Birch can show up. WHY he researched Wingull is beyond me...

LOL, plot reasons. The writers had to have Prof. Birch be there for some reason, so they made up a reason. Hey, at least we see Birch more than Ivy or Elm...

Well, what if Misty came back with a Kingdra and May ends up with a Milotic. Then when they're on their way to Mossdeep City(from Lilycove),both Misty and May ask Ash who is he riding with?:D

Ash freaks out,and decides to ride with Brock and his Swampert instead.Which Brock isn't too comfortable with.XD Brock:"Oi,Oi.Do you have to sit so close?" -_-; lol

Pretty funny stuff if you ask me.:D

XD! Well, Birch was studying Wingull, and he joined Ash and co. for two episodes, or so I've heard.
