square, circle, triangle, & heart icons?

on your pokemon's status screen, these icons can be switched on or off via PC. what do these do?

They're called Maakingu, or Markings. Basically they just let you mark your pokemon. It doesn't affect the pokemon in ANY way as far as I know, but you can, lets say put a heart on all the pokemon who was the 1st team that defeated the e4, and then you'll... remember. O_o;

... Or a square on all the ones who won't go out partying with you. Lol

Hmm, maybe it's a reminder for setting up teams for specific types of battles (i.e. my Prime Cup team is marked with Circles), or a reminder for contest stats (i.e. all my "Cute" Pokémon are marked with Hearts). In any case, it doesn't make up for the absence of the cell phone, or the radio for that matter. :mad:
