Out of curiousity, Do your parents or relatives play video games?

My mom plays ONLY Tetris once in a while.

But I do have an uncle who loved to play first-person shooters. (In fact, he sometimes hang around in arcades and I often saw him playing.) I also have an aunt who liked to play puzzle games and sometimes fighting games too.

EDIT: Forgot to mention that my brother plays mostly fighters, especially the Tekken and Street Fighter games.

My dad plays a lot of games on his PC. One of his favourite games is Max Payne. He's been very keen on Warcraft 3 recently. At the moment, he's playing Commanche 4.

I also have an uncle who plays PS2 games. He bought it for my 6 year old twin cousins, but he ends up playing it most of the time. He uses cheats sometimes because he gets impatient. lol I think his favourite is Medal of Honour. I completed Crash Bandicoot 4 for him. Me and my brothers did a lot of levels for him.

Yeah. I have an uncle who plays a lot of FPS games and flight simulators, since he's a pilot and stuff. My grandfather likes playing flight simulators as well since he used to be a pilot. Then I have a couple of cousins who play PS2 games or RTS/FPS games on the PC. Finally there's my little brother who plays whatever I play or at least likes to watch me play. Oh, and my dad plays Vigiliante with me for the PSX every once in a while.

Neither my mother or father play video games; they're busy with their own life, and basically don't know the meaning of fun. I guess they're maybe a little old for it. I remember a few years ago my mother used to play a few games, but just when there was absolutely nothing to do

My relatives... well I never got to know them well enough to be able to comment -_o I know my niece's play video games a lot, mainly the Zelda series

My dad is a gameaholic. He plays games more than I do on the weekend. My brother and my dad got each other MoH: Spearhead for Christmas. My dad went to work and installed it. While my brother installed it a home. They immediately started playing 1-on-1 online battles. Ugh. 3 hours straight. :o Then my brother got GTA3 for the computer before VC came out. It was laggy on our computer, so my dad installed it on his compiter at work. My brother goes their every weekend. Just to play GTA. Now my dad is getting in to it. Although he never told my mom... ;o. I tried to get my dad into SSB:M. But he said it wasn't good because there's no shooting. My family is violent. As for my mom, solitare is the only game on the computer she plays.

When the NES was still going strong and Roxette were telling us to "Join the Joyride", back in those ancient days my parents used to play video games with me.

Golf, Tetris, Super Mario Bros. Mega Man, Castlevania, Lee Trevino's Fighting Golf, Blades of Steel - and many other games for the 'ole NES. They were both extremely good in the old Golf, my father had a 20 below Par there once, I never even got close to that.

Later in the days of SNES my mother kept on playing now and then, especially Dr. Mario. She was a pro at that, almost as good as me (and back then that meant something). She was also quite good in Tetris but at level 9 things started to get too fast for her.

My mom will only play tetris once in a while. My dad probably played some NES games but I was too young to remember. I do remember playing baseball for NES with him though and we also played some baseball game for N64.

My sister and I used to play Mario Bros. 3 a lot and we also played Mario Kart 64, as well as a bunch of NES games.

My stayed over my house and beat Luigi's Mansion and he played some of Wind Waker with me. The rest of my cousins are just steriotipical(sp) casual gamers.

My parents tend to be very anti-violence, so there's probably no hope of them getting hooked on my PS2 games, which are all by Square. I tried to get my mom hooked on Pokémon once, but.... meh.

My dad and cousin (who's nearer to my dad's age than mine) both like FPSes like Quake and Blood, and they both like sports(Mario Golf, Madden NFL, Tony Hawk Pro Skater, NHL hitz) but they take over the machine, so I can't play!

My brother & I are the only people who play a lot of video games in my family. I think some of my cousins play video games, but only play a few and only own one or two systems, they're not obsessed with them like I am. Heh. My dad played Pacman when I was little and we would go to arcades. He's actually good at it. Me? I suck at Pacman. =P I think my mom used to play Duck Hunt too. These are the only video games they've played, so they don't realize that games can actually have elaborate stories.

My dad used to play WWF Attitude on the Playstation and my mum's too worried to get a seisure from video games. My sister used to be a gamer but I took over, now she can't play video games 4 s*** :p. I don't know what games he's into, that's if he's still into them.

My parents use to play video games a lot, but they're usually too busy now. My dad was even the person introduced to me video games.

In 1990 the NES had been around a while. The Sega Genesis was out, and Super NES was on it's way. My dad decided to get me an NES, because they were only $100, and they came with the game Super Mario Bros, which was one of his favorites. After I mastered Mario and Duck Hunt, he bought me Zelda and Metroid. Eventually he bought me a bunch of other games, too. I remember he and I would spend hours playing through Mario and Mario 3 without using any warps. After NES he quit playing console games. Now he plays games on Yahoo. My mom would play Tetris, Super Mario Bros, Yoshi, and Dr. Mario. She still plays Tetris a lot on the computer. My brother use to be a hardcore gamer like I am, but now he thinks he's too cool to play games. My sister plays games occasionaly, but usually it's just Donkey Kong Country or a Mario game. My cousins are usually too busy to play games, because of college or work, but at their parents house they have an N64 and a PS2. My uncle(not the father of those cousin's) has a Sega Genesis in his van, but I don't think anyone plays it ever, because all of his kids are completely grown up.

Three brothers: all play games to varying degrees. Basically, they're not big on games requiring "thinking".

My parents play no games whatsoever, with one exception. My mom is addicted to Animal Crossing, for the GameCube.

My brother (four years my elder) and father got me into video games when I was three. Mostly my brother and I just play Dance Dance Revolution together now, but I play everything else too. My father has a SNES at his house, and we have just about every other popular system here. My mother is addicted to Animal Crossing. My grandma always played Baldur's Gate. o_O;;
