Get it? REEse... REEf... REEd... yeah. All the Gym Leaders either have a pun in their name relating to their type specialty, or their name means something relating to their type specialty.

It's like that with the main characters as well, but not really 'type specialty'. For instance, 'Ronan' is Welsh (I believe) for 'Little Seal'. =P His first Pokemon is a water type, but he won't specialize in them. (And if you didn't notice, Geoff contains 'Geo', relating to the Earth. But it's also my real first name. =P)
