This has been Mod Approved by Lawrence_III_Fanatic and again by Lady Vulpix, also Pidgeot and Bronze_Umbreon who helped get everything straight. Also, we’ve been inducted as the first official Capture Center, that’s the same as an Adoption Center only you Capture the Pokemon.

Pokemon Avengers: The Race Against Extinction V-20.0!!!
Created By: Quicksilver62160

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

Introductions: Welcome to Avenger’s Mansion, home of the Pokemon Avengers! This is our main base, located in New York City near Central Park; from here we branch across the World to fight the extinction of Pokemon. Thanks to the original members we have been able to advance our technology, create new bases, and recruit more Avengers allowing us to better track patterns in Pokemon locations. We were originally created to prevent the Poachers from reeking havoc upon the pokemon world, but since earlier developments the poachers have joined the Avenger team to save the pokemon… and to take on a much greater evil. His name is Mortiegama, the death brining king, leader of the Shadow Stalkers. His minions are extremely powerful spirits, stronger and faster than any enemy we’ve faced before. They alone have dealt such a horrific blow to the pokemon world that sadly, all first and second level evolutions have been driven to extinction, along with the Dratini family, and the legendary pokemon. Now we can only find Basic Pokemon in the field, with few First Evolution Pokemon whom have narrowly escape the Shadow Stalker’s grasp.

This is where you come in, I've hired you to go out there and capture Pokemon! You must travel to the different Continents, and zones to search for the Pokemon species there! You will be given ample equipment and supplies to get you through the various worlds. Mortiegama and his minions are constantly attacking Avengers however, so be on your guard, and prepare to run if you come across any of them. Your modes of transport are set, the world is open for you to travel… good luck, my new Avenger.

Rules:

1) Posting is like the Original Game
Pokemon Found/Continent/Area#/Equipment Left/Action

Lets say I have 1 Pokeball left, and am in North America, Region 1 fighting an Ampharos and I feed it, I'd type this:

Raichu/North America/1/1-0/Feed

Equipment: 5-5, Five Pokeballs, 5 Special Balls (Fast Ball, Lure Ball, Heavy Ball, Hyper Ball, and Master Ball), every time you use either, change the number

NEW: Radio and Cell Phone! Every now and again, I’ll post a helpful tip, play a song to lure out a Pokemon, or give you vital information for your Adopted Pokemon. And once per week you are allowed to PM me with a question about where to find Pokemon, what’s the most common, or anything you need help with.

2) In light of some misunderstandings, I will clear up the attack action misconseption. The attack comes from you, not your adopted or your other captured Pokemon (if you have one). The only attacks that can be used are status effect attacks, such as stun spore, sleep powder, confuse ray, poison powder and supersonic. No "normal" moves are allowed (I.E. water gun or tail whip). Also, you can use traps, food, rocks and attacks whenever you come in contact with a Pokemon. You don't need anything special to be able to use these options.

3) Pokemon will be on differing levels. You can advance levels by training them in different places, they come with the first moves in the Pokedex to that level. You will now have a chance to encounter 3 Pokemon at a time. You can ONLY find BASIC Pokemon, the only First Evolution available will be- Kadabra and Gyarados

Basic Pokemon- Level 5 (Mr. Mime, Scyther)
First Evolutions- Level 10 (Gyarados, Kadabra)

4) Do not hint or ask for Pokemon, that is not allowed, also, you CAN’T capture Dragonite Family or any Legendaries in this game. You CAN buy an Eon Key at Pokemon Avengers: Temple Of Knowledge (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=283006#post283006) which will allow you passage to a special island where you can pinpoint one pokemon and go directly to it.

5) These ARE adopted Pokemon so you may only capture 15 Pokemon between here and Crystal Caves, so choose wisely. If you run out of Pokeballs, then you can get a fresh supply a day later.

6) If you get an of the new Pokedolls from Pokemon Avengers: Temple Of Knowledge (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=283006#post283006) you can now bring them here and use them to aid in capturing Pokemon. You may also mix Pokeblocks there to increase the likelihood of capturing a Pokemon.

7) You can only run five times before you run out of runs and lose a Pokeball. Your five count of runs renews itself though, everytime you go after a Pokemon or you switch areas.

8) In order to access Atlantis, the Moon, or the Abandoned Space Station you must have a Continental Key attuned to that area. You may also win various other keys that have hidden powers. Though you will not know what they do, when you are in the right area they will activate and unlock hidden mysteries of an ancient power left to preserve the Earth. You can win these at the Pokemon Avengers: Temple Of Knowledge (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=283006#post283006).

9) Ancient Glyphs are powerful items that will unlock secret mysteries as you travel through the Avenger worlds. Match the element type or physical type with an area most common and you will soon find something you had never expected.

10) Items can not be exchanged between Pokemon Avengers and Crystal Caves unless otherwise specified (ie: TMs, Juices can be used).

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

Warning- Atlantis is slowly sinking, we’ve only lost one area, but we are unsure if we will be able to save the others. Enjoy this lost continent while it still exists. Also, thanks to our teams of scientists, we’ve discovered areas with Pokemon on the moon. The moon is completely unlocked, explore its mysteries by getting a Moon Continental Key or grab a new Abandoned Space Center Key to explore there. Keys are found at ]Pokemon Avengers: Temple Of Knowledge (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?postid=283006#post283006).

<*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*><*>

Air Pidgeot- Our Flying Transport, jump aboard our massive Pidgeot, and he'll fly you to any Continent with a tremendous flap of your wings.

Teleporting Alakazam- Our Psychic Transport, call for Alakazam to get out of a perilous jam, he'll instantly Teleport you to any other Continent and region

Extremespeed Arcanine- The fastest way to travel, jump on the back of our Arcanine, and he'll run you across the Water or Land faster then you can blink.

Dugtrio Underground Railroad- Our Train Transport. Hop on these Dugtrio, and find a new meaning to Underground Railroad, as you are warped to any Continent in a second.

Lapras Liner- Our Water Transport. Jump aboard this Cruise Ship to travel in style and fashion to any of the Continent, this is the only way to travel.

Hyper Stellar Grifor- A test transport, faster then ExtremeSpeed Arcanine on the ground, and faster then Air Pidgeot in the air. When he moves time nearly stands still.

Tyranitar Ground Service- Much like ExtremeSpeed Arcanine but not as fast, Tyranitar can move over the ground quickly if the need be.

Deep Sea Swampert- Get out onto the water and dive beneath the waves for an ocean floor cruise on Deep Sea Swampert.

Altaria Cloud Dancers- For a more relaxing ride, trying passing through the sky via clouds on Altaria Cloud Dancers.

When you want to move to a new Continent, you'll type:
Continent/Area #/Transport Mode

Lets say you go to North America Eastern Woods by Extremespeed Arcanine, type:

North America/1/Extremespeed Arcanine.

Important Information:

When you capture a Pokemon, they count towards your Capture Pokemon limit and like Adopted Pokemon, you must raise them, take care of them, and buy items for them. If you want to raise your Captured Pokemon levels, get items for them to use in battle, TMs to give them special attacks, or to gain more Capture Center Pts, go to The Capture/Adoption Center Rules (http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=14548), you'll find everything you need there.

S_P- Aiming an ice beam at the Eevee, you shoot it and watch as it connects and instantly freezes her up. Lobbing another Pokeball, she goes in this time but it's not enough because after a few shakes, she comes right back out, quickly defrosting:

Remember people, you can be customers at Pokemon Avengers and CCCC at the same time but you can only catch 15 Pokemon between both of them so keep count of how many Pokemon you've caught. It's not our jobs to keep count

S_P- Whistling for a Pidgeot, you wait a few minutes before you hear screeching from above. Looking up, you see a Pidgeot divebombing you but before you can move away, he slows down and lands right next to you. A bit perturbed, you still get on and ask her to take you to The Pyramids in Africa. Trilling, she complies and rising up in the air, you swiftly head north to a much warmer continent. At first, the ride is much colder due to the frezzing wind chill you're passing through but once you pass the equator, things become much warmer until you land next to one of the Egyptian pyramids, feeling brutal in a jacket and pants. Immediately peeling the clothes off, you feel much better and head towards the nearest pyramid, which is a bit smaller than normal but it looks important as an Onix, Larvitar and Sandshrew guard the entrance:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can try to get pass the guards and into the pyramid or go to another pyramid

Sneasel- Look above at my gold notice

In the NY Base, you climb onto one of the Arcanines to head towards the Shadow Graveyard in Australia. Flying forward, you start to head cross-country but you know the US well enough to know the scenery of each state. As soon as you get to California, you speed pass the cars on the backed up highways and soon see the Pacific. Heading towards the ocean, you think you're going to sink but Arcanine is able to run on the water and you head southwest to your destination. An easier travel than going across the US, the only problem you have with the water is all the mist constantly spraying you but the ride is short and smooth and you come quickly to the island continent/country of Australia. Heading inland, the ride to the graveyard is even shorter and soon enough, you come to the entrance. Already shaking from the ominous presence surrounding it, you hop off it Arcanine and head towards the graves. As soon as you come towards one of them, a Houndour, Sneasel and Carvanha appear out of nowhere to just look at you:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can explore the graveyard some more

LN- Skitty is right. You can also use trap moves like meanlook, fire spin, whirlpool, wrap and bind. And also please edit your posts next time instead of making new posts so we can cut down on the spam

Getting a bit closer to the Charmander, he starts to back away but he has no chance to escape as you use sleep powder on him to send him into dreamland:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

Pikachu- In the sense that there were only 2 people playing recently? I suppose you're right but PA has always had its ups and downs

Walking out of the cave, you head outside and call for the Pidgeot. Soon enough, one comes down and you hop on as soon as he lands. Getting up into the air, you grip Pidgeot tightly as you tell him to take you to the Ancient Ruins. Going straight across Asia and then into Europe, the trip is quite quick and you feel much better as you land outside of the temple in a warmer country. Going inside, it doesn't take long for you to spot some Pokemon as you see an Aipom and Togepi bouncing on top of a sleeping Snorlax's stomach:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can barely push around Snorlax to get into other corridors

The_Missing_Link
29th September 2003, 03:45 PM
S_P- Pointing to an obscure direction in the distance to distract the guards, it apparently works as they look in the direction, trying to see what you're pointing at. Running past them, you make your way inside without any confrontation. The inside is quite dark but with torches lit around, you can see it's decorated with many pictures of Egyptian life and their culture. Taking out one of the torches, you hold it out in front of you and start to move forward but unexpectedly, a Rhyhorn, Cubone and Baltoy show up in front of you:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

There are 3 passages you can take

Sneasel- Using a meanlook, you successfully trap her while the other 2 Pokemon run/hop away:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

LN- Edging a bit closer, you take out a Pokeball and throw it at Charmander. Getting sucked in, the ball rocks back and forth a few times but it's not enough to capture him as he pops out, already waking up from his nap:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

Cody- Hey man, nice to see you back. Where have you been? Quick's been busy with school and work so I'm the only one working right now. I haven't talked to him in weeks though so I might have to take care of this for a while

Coming back to PA for another round of Pokemon capturing, you hop on to Altaria's back (or the cloud, per say) and float up to head towards the Icebergs. With the Pidgeot and any other means of air transportation, it's all about speed. With the Altaria though, it's more comfort than anything. While traveling at a relatively fast pace, you're still able to enjoy the view from above without watching it whiz by you in a flash. The trip is longer, but it was well worth it as you show up in Antarctica double the time it takes for the Pidgeot to take you there, which isn't very long at all. Hopping off, you feel all nice and toasty in your warm clothes. Still able to travel easily without feeling bunched up, you start to cross a few icebergs when you spot a Mudkip, Goldeen and Wooper playing water tag:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can continue to hop icebergs or go into the water

As of yet I'm trying to be pretty specific in my searching, seeing as how the end is drawing closer. And I think I'll avoid these guys and jump into the water and try to find what I'm looking for.

BTW: I had quit for a while, now I'm back so, I guess I'll just see if I can get back into the playing of this game.

LN- Using a stun spore on the half asleep Charmander, you successfully paralyze but this makes him mad:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

Sneasel- Quite eager, aren't we?

Not wanting to waste any time, you hurl a master ball at the Sneasel. Zipping inside, she tries to fight the strength of the ball but honestly, who can fight the master ball? With that said, she gives up and lets the light fade out. Congrats, you caught a Sneasel!

Sneasel at Level 5 (female)
Base Stats and Attacks to Level 5
Breeded Move of Choice
No TM
Holding: 1 CCP
Personality: Naive
Trait: Inner Focus - Prevents flinching

What will you do now?

Cody- What do you mean 'the end is drawing closer'?

Stripping off your heavier clothing, you attach a breathing device to your mouth to help you breathe and jump into the water to explore. The water is bitter cold but you're able to handle it. It appears you can find Pokemon easier down here as you immediately spot a Feebas, Wailmer and Spheal little ways off:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can continue to explore underwater or go back onto the icebergs

S_P- It really doesn't. I've gained 1000+ posts since I first joined PA. Beat that ;)

Going into the second passage, you find it just as dark and ominous as the central hall. Only the torch is saving you from running out of the pyramid altogether. After a few minutes down the straight corridor, it feels like someone is following you. Turning around, you find your suspicions to be correct as a Trapinch, Mudkip and Gligar are closely trailing you for no reason:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

The only things you really can do is continue down the corridor or go past the Pokemon into one of the other passages

Pikachu- Sorry, I thought you were in Asia before :P

Using a thunderwave immediately, you strike the other 2 Pokemon and send them rolling off of the Snorlax. Lifting his head, the Snorlax wonders what's going on when you spray him with a sleep powder. Drifting off to sleep, it gives you a perfect chance to use a blizzard, but it manages to freeze only 3/4 of him since Snorlax is a large Pokemon:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

Cody- heh, I don't think we'll get to the big battle for a while, as long as Quick's away

Moving away from them, you start to swim a bit deeper although the lighting is much poorer as you go down. You think nothing of it however and swim more swiftly. Starting to feel the cold a bit more, you continue to swim, thinking you'll find something. A minute later, you start to feel woozy and lightheaded. Stopping where you are, you start to panic as you're completely surrounded by black. Looking up, you can barely see the light from above. Starting to pass out, you're suddenly pushed from behind by 3 heads. Soaring upwards, you quickly surface and wildly look around to see who helped you. It turns out to be a concerned Chinchou, Squirtle and Carvanha who saved you from imminent danger:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can dive back down or go back onto the icebergs

S_P- Still, not a big accomplishment. After the post counters were visibly taken away, there has been spamming on the boards by people who wanted to up their post count

Taking out a piece of food, you throw it to the Trapinch who quickly accepts the offer and immediately goes for it:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

Sneasel- Successful in capturing Sneasel, you pocket the ball and continue on through the graveyard. Continuing to examine the ancient gravestones, you find that the whole graveyard is dedicated to Pokemon. Although in such a dismal environment, you think it's kind of sweet to have a personal burial ground for Pokemon. Minutes later, you feel yourself being latched onto. Looking down, you see a Larvitar trying to swipe at your pants leg, an Eevee gripping your leg with its claws and a Murkrow ready to headbutt you down:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

All you can really do is fight them and get away

Pikachu- Stun sporing the mostly frozen Snorlax, you then freeze the rest of him up with an ice beam. Throwing your last ball, which happens to be a heavy ball, you watch as it smacks against the ice but sucks Snorlax in anyway. Praying that it'll work, you don't even need to as the heavy ball is designed to hold Pokemon like Snorlax in. So it's no surprise when after a few shakes, the light goes out. Congrats, you caught a Snorlax!

Sneasel- Walking away, you continue around the area, starting to get bored. You know that the graveyard isn't a hazardous place so you find the nearest tree to lay against. Closing your eyes, you doze off a bit. What seemed like hours later which in reality was only a few minutes, you hear an ear-piercing scream. Immediately waking up, you glare at a cackling Sableye with an Absol and Cacnea behind him:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can continue to explore the area

Nala- *releases Pokemon*

Getting on an Arcanine, you head towards the Mountain Top in South America. Knowing the travel pace of Arcanine well enough, you relax as Arcanine runs south and across many terrains before coming to the woods of SA and then the mountain base. Running upwards, it doesn't take long before you get to the top and hop off. Instantly, you see some Pokemon such as a Torchic, Cyndaquil and Charmander:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can head in any direction

Going back to iceberg hopping, you leap across a couple of them, slipping on the way. Getting tired of it, you go more slowly, watching where you leap. Heading across one of them, you slip backwards and fly headfirst into the water. Coming up sputtering, you hear snickers and look to your left to see a Mantine, Clampearl and Horsea try to not laugh at you:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can get back up on the ice or stay in the water

S_P- Continuing down the passage, you soon spot more pictures on the walls and torches as well. Up ahead, you see a fork in the passage and choose to go left. Walking down, it looks the same as the main passage but you soon come upon a dead end. Pushing against it to see if it leads elsewhere, you're a bit surprised when the wall rumbles and pushes sideways quite easily. Opening into a brand new room, you look to see a tomb in the middle. Built from pure gold stone, you think that the king must be lying in there. The curiousity getting better of you, you lay the torch on the ground and starting to lift the top of it. Creaking like the wall, it opens up quite easily, which makes you kind of suspicious but you're intent on finding out what's in the tomb. Pulling it up all the way, you suddenly get a heart attack as a Phanpy pops out and scares the living crap out of you while a Geodude and Nincada come out from behind a pillar, laughing and crying at the same time:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can either go out into the right passage or go out to the main hall and go into either the first or third passage

Heading up the mountain and by the lava flow, the temperature starts to rise but it's still cool enough for you to bear it. S_P- Walking out of the pyramid, the massive Grifor is already waiting for you. Larger than 3 football fields, the dragon bends its head down so you can climb on. Sliding down its head and neck, you grab on tightly as a bright light surrounds you. Feeling like you're ripping through time and space, you instantly find yourself in the Mountain Tops of South America. Since he can't land, the Grifor lowers his head down again for you to slide off. Rather close to the ground anyway, you slide down onto the ground and get up. Scanning around, you already find some luck as you see a Ponyta, Growlithe and Cyndaquil look up in amazement at the Grifor flying away:

TL- Getting onto the Pidgeot in the NY Base, you fly off towards the Mountain Region in Africa. Soaring across the sky, you find the breeze to be quite refreshing as you quickly cross the Atlantic Ocean and then into the heart of Africa. Heading downwards in the southwestern region, Pidgeot starts to go into a steep dive but you know that he would never put you in danger so as you cling on for dear life, he pulls up just in time and lands quite smoothly on the rocky base. Getting off, you start to walk around when you see a Cubone, Phanpy and Mudkip starting to scale the mountain:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can either climb the mountain or explore the base some more

LN- Approaching the Charmander a bit more, you lob another Pokeball at him. Going inside, he starts to rock around but it seems status attacks aren't enough to do him in as he comes out a minute later, yawning and starting to get mad as well:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

LN- Since he's already paralyzed, you can't make him paralyzed again but he is waking up so you use another sleep powder to put him under. This time, you change it up a bit and use a toxic. Splashing against his body and seeping into his bloodstream, it's only time before he starts to blanch horribly:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

TL- Walking around the circumfrence of the mountain, you really don't see much of anything except for the mountain and other mountains in the distance, littered with boulders. As you turn another corner though, you see an entrance to a cave. Gladly escaping the blandness, you walk in and immediately turn on your flashlight. Scanning the area, you see nothing but feel the cold that didn't exist outside. Feeling refreshed, you walk for a bit until you come to a fork. Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

S_P- Immediately sending out an ice beam, it slams into Cyndaquil and freezes him up completely but within a few minutes, red starts to show through from within and the ice starts to quickly melt from his flame:

C04621- Climbing onto the fluffy back of an Altaria, you swiftly take off from the NY Base to the Mountain Regions in Europe. C04621- Opting to explore the base, you travel around the circumfrence of it, not finding much of anything. Tired of just walking around now, you start to climb the tricky mountain. With few crevices in it, it's hard travel but you know that the mountain has many levels for resting, almost making it look like it was man made. After another half hour, you doggedly scramble onto the first level and sit down to rest but soon see a Pidgey, Swablu and Tropius fly nearby you:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

All you can do is to continue climbing the mountain

LN- Throwing your last Pokeball, you watch it slap against Charmander and suck him in. After the long, frustrating process of whittling down his health, you hope it's worth it. And after a couple of minutes, it appears to be true as the ball finally stops and releases it's familiar [i]ping![/b] Congrats, you caught a Charmander!

LN- Getting on the Arcanine, you fly down the mountainside, through the forests and onto the ocean to head northeast towards the Scottish Haunted Castles. Causing huge waves to roll over, you get soaked in the process but the water is a much needed refreshment. Soon enough, you see land and then get onto the flat terrain before going over many hills before arriving at the castle. Eager, you jump off and head through the opens doors before seeing 3 ghost Pokemon instantly: a Duskull, Misdreavus and Shuppet:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

You can start climbing the stairs or go through one of the many doors

Sneasel- Starting to get frustrated, you use an ice beam to freeze her up before she awakes and then throw another Pokeball. Rushing inside, it takes a couple shakes before she comes back out, defrosting. It seems you need to do one more thing before you can secure yourself another Pokemon:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Use Pokedoll/Get Closer/Throw Pokeblock

C04621- Ignoring them, you start to climb once more, up to the second level. It's just as hard as the first level, but you start to get the hang of it and it's easier to find more footholes. Gaining ground a lot faster, you make it up to the second level in no time and to your surprise, find a cave opening. Even more surprising is finding a Gyarados, Skitty and Natu all sleeping together:

Clamboring upwards onto the next level, you really don't see much of anything except a spectacular view on the other side. Moving over to the edge to look at the scenery, you start to hear something crack and look around to see what it is but don't see anything. Shrugging, you turn your head back around to continue looking but you hear the crack again and look down to see the rock crumbling beneath you. Trying to move backwards, you start to fall and scream but something grabs ahold of you before you get yourself seriously hurt. You look up to see a Bagon trying to pull you back onto ground, with a Zubat and Surskit right behind them. Helping them out, you grab onto the nearest part of the ledge and use that to push yourself back onto land. After doing so, you smile gratefully for their help:

Sneasel- Using ice beam once again, you freeze her up and then use sleep powder, but it doesn't work since she's frozen and can't breathe in the dust. Throwing another Pokeball, she goes in and starts to rock around a lot. Frustrated by last time, you close your eyes and pray that she stays inside this time. C04621- This will be your 4th run, btw. If you run away again, you will lose a Pokeball

Sick of climbing upwards again, it's the only way to go so you succomb to it and go up once more. Luckily, the top isn't too far away and you climb a bit faster to get to it. 10 minutes later, you reach the top but is disappointed to find nothing. However, another cave opening stares at you right in the face waiting for you to enter. Since you have nothing better to do, you go into it and click on your flashlight as a set of stone stairs greets you. You find it odd that man made stairs could be found inside a mountain but you decide to not dwell on it further and start to head down. After a few minutes, you start to get dizzy from the continuing spiral stairs but still go onward. 5 minutes later, their ground starts to even out and the stairs end, leading into a straight tunnel. Luckily, light is shining through at the end and you run towards the exit. Excited as to where it may lead, you run into the light and find yourself coming out of the base of the mountain you climb. Pissed off, you start to curse the mountain when you see an Aerodactyl and Scyther flying above you and a Chansey waddling towards you:

LN- Please make sure what exact Pokemon you're looking for before suddenly heading off in different directions --;

Leaving the Misdreavus alone, you walk out of the house and whistle for the Arcanine. In minutes, he arrives and takes off again with you on his back, heading for Death Valley. Grasping your filled canteen tightly, you head across the ocean and to North America. Arriving rather quickly, you start to run across the country, experiencing many different scenery changes. However, you've seen it before and don't take much notice since it's going by at a fast rate anyway. After 10 minutes, you arrive in California and fast approach the Valley. Coming onto it, you see a vast valley of sand dunes and get off of Arcanine's back. Before you have to search though, you look to your left and see an Electrike, Mareep and Plusle head into the valley as well:

Although not having much of a say in the scenery, you don't mind the bland area but do mind the extreme heat. Already sweating, you take your first swig of the water and after lowering your canteen, you see a Magnemite, Pichu and Eevee appear out of nowhere and start to walk towards you:

You give up on the munching Chansey and try your luck someplace else. Calling upon an Altaria, you soon hear soft but loud chirping and look up to see her slowly land beside you. Climbing onto her back, you rise into the sky and sail east towards Asia and the Frozen Tundra. With her sweet songs, Altaria lulls you to sleep and you enjoy your peaceful ride until you're nudged onto the ground. Yawning, you look around the snow-ridden area and don't see a sign of your charge. It doesn't bother you however and you start to explore. As expected, you find it barren and boring. Rocking a few times, you hope it's enough to get him but he's a toughie and breaks up, yawning and cringing with a headache:

You try another confuse ray but Chikorita's eyes aren't fully open to receive the attack. Also using another sleep powder, it puts him right to sleep. Then a poison powder sprinkles down and poisons him. This time, you use a hyper ball and cross your fingers after launching it. Sucked in again, Chikorita tries to get out, indicated by the severe wobbling, but it's just too strong for him and the light soon goes out. Congrats, you caught a Chikorita!

Teleporting Alakazam/South America/2

The_Missing_Link
6th June 2004, 09:37 PM
Taking a free Alakazam's hand, you teleport to the center of the rainforest in South America. Although it has greatly disintegrated over the years, there is still large amounts left to house many species of animals. Trekking off on your own, you push past bushes and limbs while watching out for dangerous animals or Pokemon. After a few minutes of traveling, you come upon a river, with an Oddish, Tropius and Bulbasaur drinking out of it:

You can travel upstream, downstream or across the river

Remember, you can only go after one of them. Also, how do you remember your ball count? You could've gone back to 5-5 if you wanted to

You edge closer to the still-drinking Pokemon, unaware of your presence:

I didn't know if we were allowed to go back to the 5-5. I thought you had to by the Pokeballs and food and stuff, so I thought that would be cheating. So instead of giving myself the max, I put myself somewhere in the middle.

Anyways...

*sighs* I thought you've been here before but I guess you haven't

You don't use Pokemon here, you do the attacking. It consists of throwing the normal food and rocks but you can also use traps, such as fire spin, whirlpool, wrap, spider web or other attacks like that. Actual attacking consists of status-type effects only, such as thunderwave, spore, poison powder, sing, etc.

Try again

Using a thunderwave, you hit Bulbasaur on target and watch her stiffen up. Now fearful, she truly has no place to go and is forced to listen to your singing. So wonderful that it is that she immediately falls asleep, snoring peacefully. As for the stun spore, well, what's the point?:

With Bulbasaur in her Pokeball, you telepathically call for Alakazam and a female one pops up next to you. Grabbing your hand, she immediately whisks you off to the Moon Mines. Before you can scream, you arrive in a domed area. Breathing a sigh of relief, you walk off around the area, which is made up of large hills and burrowed holes. Right off the bat, you spot a Gligar in the air and a Sandshrew and Anorith off to your left, talking:

Coming ever closer, the rumbling becomes more constant and instead of being fearful, curiosity springs up and takes hold of you. Coming to the edge, you peer down but back away quickly enough to see an Onix come out, with a Rhyhorn and Kabuto quickly behind him:

Throwing stun spore over the unsuspecting Onix, he tries to shake it off but it covers him like a snow drift and soon stiffens up in paralysis. While he's trapped, you release a widespread red beam that completely envelopes him. Dazed and confused, he strikes himself on the head with his tail and falls to the ground, even more out of it. Why you question yourself for attempting to use stun spore again, no one knows but you skip past it in embarrassment and use spore again, putting him to sleep. Winding up a ball, you toss it and watch as he goes in. Hoping he's easier to catch than Bulbasaur, you watch as it slowly rocks back and forth but it appears you haven't done enough as he comes out, waking up but still paralyzed:

Dumbfounded, all you manage to do is slide to the ground and walk into the castle, unable to say much of anything. As soon as you enter though, you see a Gastly, Duskull and Sableye milling around:

Sheik- You throw some sleep powder over Gastly, which promptly puts him to sleep. You then attack with an ice beam, which slowly freezes him up and then use thunderwave, hypnosis, poison powder and confuse ray in succession, which all fail due to him being frozen. Launching a heavy ball, you watch him go in and come right back out since Gastly virtually weighs nothing:

Feed/Throw Rock/Run/Throw Ball/Attack/Chase/Trap/Get Closer

shazza- Hopping onto an Arcanine, you head north to the Frozen Tundra to find some psychic Pokemon. Bundled up, you sweat in the New York heat but minutes later, you shake in the Canadian cold. Sort of sliding off, you ungracefully land in the snow and struggle to pull yourself up. Once you do, you peer around through your goggles to see absolutely nothing. Trudging ahead in no particular direction, a freak blizzard comes in on you and blinds you for a few moments. After it clears up though, you look around and suddenly see a Ralts, Slowpoke and Chimecho coming towards you:

You proceed to barrage him with more attacks, hitting him with flamethrower, toxic and then ice beam respectively. He wakes up after being hit by flamethrower but can't do anything and is forced to succomb to the next two attacks. Taking out a Pokeball, you throw it at the the large block of ice containing Growlithe and watch as it rocks slowly back and forth and then pop back open.
