Due to numerous butt-kickings I have recieved at the hands of Duelests 10 years younger than me (I'm 18 and into Yu-Gi-Oh.. is that so wrong?) I think my deck is in need of reconstruction yet again. So instead of listing it and having ppl tell me cards I need but don't have (and will probably never have) I'll post my complete list as well.

I'm much too lazy to read through the whole long list, but I do have a few fixes for your deck. Keep in mind that you only should have 1-2 (single) tribute monsters in your deck (and no dual-tribs), depending on the decktype. Which brings me to my second piece of advice. Differentiate. Don't put Ha Des and Summoned Skull into a non-fiend deck. Do put good dragon-based cards into a dragon deck. Three: don't rely on flips. Veryvery bad to rely on flips in this environment.

-1x Magician of Faith
-1x Man-Eater Bug
-1x Sangan
-1x Mystical Elf
-1x Summoned Skull
-1x Ha Des

+2x Newdoria
+1x Witch of the Black Forest
+1x Tyrant Dragon (or: +2x Sapphire Dragon*)
+1x Jinzo
----------------------------------------------
-1x Malevolent Nuzzler
-1x Super Rejuvenation
-1x A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon
-2x Dragon's Gunfire
-2x Stamping Destruction

+1x Pot of Greed
+1x Raigeki
+1x United We Stand
+1x Harpie's Fairy Duster
+2x Mystical Space Typhoon
+1x Nobleman of Crossout
-----------------------------------------------
-1x Burst Breath
-1x The Dragon's Bead
-1x DNA Surgery
-1x Magic Jammer
-1x Seven Tools

+1x Dragon's Rage
+1x Mirror Force
+1x Waboku
+2x Magic Drain
+1x Ring of Destruction
+1x Magic Cylinder
-----------------------------------------------
Quite a few fixes there, mostly staples. After looking at your list, you've got some good underrated cards there, including Troop Dragon and.. YATA?! Why you're making a dragon deck I dunno, but to each his own. You could also make a somwehat formidable Fiend Deck, with those Opticlops's and Ha Des's.

*Sapphire Dragon - Super rare in Magician's Force. Level 4, 1900/1600, Wind/Dragon. Gemini Dragon woot.

Well here you go.... I'm 19 and just started playing Yu Gi Oh and already winning ppl who hav 3 to 5 years experience already... (Note: I'm 2 months experience... )

10 Monsters
1 Exiled Forces
1 Magician of Faith
3 Harpie Brothers
1 Gearfried the Iron Knight
1 Yata
1 Sangan
1 Witch of Black Forest
1 Summon Skull

You need to get:
1 Jinzo
1 Exquisitely Virus
1 Sinister Serpent
1 Summon Skull
1 Fiber Jar/Pod

That would make a total of 15 monsters for you....

9 Magic
1 Pot of Greed
1 Monster Reborn
1 Dark Hole
1 Card Destruction
1 Change of Heart
1 Scapegoat
1 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Graceful Charity
1 Mage Power

You will need also:
1 Harpie's Magic Feather Duster
1 Heavy Storm
1 Rageki
1 Snatch Steal
1 Swords of Revealing Lights
2 Nobleman of Crossout
2 Mystic Space Typhoon

That would make 18 magics for you...

2 Trap
1 Waboku
1 Bottomless Trap Hole

You will need:
1 Imperial Order
1 Magic Cylinder
1 Torrential Tribute
1 Call of the Haunted
1 Ring of Destruction
1 Mirror Force

Hmm a total of 8 Traps for you...

A Deck of total 41 cards for you... I'm just making use most of the cards that you hav and you will find the deck better to use... And of course the efficiency of the deck will be better!

I appreciate it really... but I want to try and keep a theme going with this deck. mainly Dragons. I'm working on getting some Cards I know I need.

I know that your main deck theme is Dragon but I strongly advise you not to play them... First they are hard to come... Secondly even if they really come out, they will be either trap hole or bottomless pit...

I played the deck b4. And even if I play, my flute and Lord D doesn't always come out at the same time... Besides remember hand discard cards always ruin your day....

1.Who uses Trap Hole?
2.Bottomless Pit is a problem for ANY Deck, not JUST dragons...
3.I've played a WORKING Dragon deck before. I know how they work.

Thanks TMM... honestly you are the last person I expected support for a Dragon deck from.... *blinks*

I wouldn't recommend any dragons except for Chaos Emperor Dragon...

I'm not saying dragon decks are useless... I'm just saying that they are not tournament playable -_-"

There's plenty of good dragons. BEWD's probably the best 2 sacrifice monster because he's absurdly easy to summon. I have never seen a decent deck that wastes their time with a trap hole since PSV came out in english, and bottomless trap hole is rarely used. Anyway, Dragon Decks can be pretty deadly, there's some good dragons out there that are used in many non-dragon decks as well, like Spear Dragon and some people will use Sapphire Dragon when MGF comes out.

Darkyouth: 2 SS's and a Jinzo? That's a majorly slow deck right there. 3 tribute monsters= no, especially ones that don't have any support cards. And Harpies Brother+Gearfried the Iron Knight? I could've sworn there where some better cards called Gemini Elf and Skilled Black Magician/Sapphire Dragon/Magic Warrior Breaker, or even Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer. Besides, since when did anybody use Gearfried?

Chrisodeo

For once I agree with DTZ. Except on one matter. [Edit: two. Barrel Dragon is t3h best 2-tribute mon. BarralDragon > WiteDragon w00t.] Gearfried, in addition to being a 1800/1600, is immune to Snatch Steal. In an environment where creature theft is rampant (Creature Swap, Change of Heart, Snatch Steal), someone immune to such is crucial. If they have SSteal in their hand, who would you rather have guarding your LP, Gemini Elf or Gearfried?

As an aside, Heart of Clear Water or some pumping mechanism (Axe of Despair, United We Stand) is good for protecting those Lord of D's.

Also, I completely forgot about Spear Dragon. Yesh, replaces those La Jinns and Harpie's Bro's quite nicely. Finally, don't just add Yata in a deck at random. It needs a deck of its own, I hate it when people hear a card is uber so they throw it anywhere. Just don't.

Mew Master
4th October 2003, 09:02 AM
I agree, Yata is a good card in it's own deck. On the Yu-GI-Oh Virtual Desktop I put my current Deck on there and got beat by a Yata Deck.

But the only thing Heart of Clear Water would protect my Lord of D from Traps, Magic, and Effect Monsters whose effects designate a target. I'm still trying to get United we Stand and an Axe of Dispair.

Eh hee.. ^_^U

Even upto now I'm also playing 3 tributes... Most of the time, the last tribute monster would either be Monster Reborn or Premature. So there is nothing to be slow abt...

Besides I did in my earlier post mentioned that I will be using most of the cards that he had right? -_-" Yea if he had the $, I would be recommending lots of BETTER cards...

I still doubt a 2 Summoned Skull/1 Jinzo deck would work, just too slow. You rarely see anybody running more than 2 tribs max, a Jinzo and Parsath, if that (The only deck that runs more is a Zombie, x2 Dezard, x2 Noseferatu Lich. My friend tried to use one, and it was so slow he never even got out a Dezard) As you can probably tell, I hate tribute monsters. I haven't played any for at least 6-8 months, unless you count Death Guardius and the Chaos Messengers, which aren't really trib monsters as they're special summons.

I was thinking about taking out Disappear. It may be with the LOD Series and have a Dragon... but not really that useful. And I also went over my Monster:Magic/Trap guideline! >.<

Some new cards I like, Dark Snake Syndrome and Different Dimension Capsule.

I actually got to a draw with another Duelist because of DSS, and Differnet Dimension Capsule is cool if I get it before my opponent can get an anti-magic card out. Usually I'm lucky if I have an Lord of D a Flute, and the Capsule, I play capsule and get Tyrant or one of my Blue-Eyes and then get ready. But that's just one of the stratigies I could use it for... Also buying many Yu-Gi-Oh Cards in a value pack doesn't hurt neither... *shrugs*

Well... is this an improvement?

Yata? Yata-Garasu? Yata is not a Staple card, at least not in my deck. There's no way I could use it.

Witch, I understand cause of my Lord of D and Summoned Skull, but I don't understand Yata.

DarkTemplarZ
5th October 2003, 09:33 PM
You have way too many trib monsters in ur deck, even for a dragon deck. I can understand the Blue Eyes and Tyrant Dragon but Labyrinth Wall and Summoned Skull? o.O Hell no.

Yata's supposidly a staple in all offensive decks but I wouldn't bother with it here. Forget Yata, no Cyber Jar or Fiber Jar? That's not a great idea. Fiber Jar is a must, it'll give you at least one free shot at ur opponent's LP. Cave Dragon is worthless, it'll never get to attack on the first turn if u manage to summon it. Replace it and Dragon Dwelling in a Cave for either Gray Wing or Spear Dragon or both. I'd also throw in another Lord of Dragons and Flute, drop the gunfire for a card destruction perhaps. Another penguin soldier or 2 wouldn't hurt either. As for your traps, dump them all except for Dragon's Rage and Waboku. Another Waboku and Rage would be great, and if u could get ur hands on one of the 5 staple traps (Ring, Call of the Haunted, Mirror Force, Cylinder, Imperial Order), put it in too.

Pick a theme. I'm assuming you're going for a Dragon deck right? =D

If you want a dragon deck check the Kaiba deck topic, tell me if you like the look of that deck and it can be easily edited to form a pure Dragon rather then an XYZ/Kaiba deck ^_^
