I might want my starter here(Mudkip-Numakuroo-Raguraji) in my team. But I don't want the same types in my team(Samehadaa,Kyogre). But I also want the mascot/representative of the Sapphire version(Kyogre). What should I do?

You should have either started with Torchic or gotten Groudon (Through Ruby). Alot of help, huh??

I'm fond of the water starters and I really don't like trading........

uuummmmm....
Then just add it to your team. If you like it so much then don't hold back. Part of battling is having fun.

I have until March 17 to think about my team.I wonder which is the best starter(Mudkip,Torchic,Treecko)........

It all depends. Grass has super good speed and spec. att. but sucky-o.k. other stats, water has super good attack and good other stats, fire has super good attack and spec. att. but sucky to o.k. other attack. It all depends on what position you want your starter to have. The fire starter becomes a fire/fighting, and the water starter becomes a water/ground (good dual type). If you let the water starter evolve fully you get earthqauke and this one of a kind attack called muddy stream with surfs power but bad accuracy (it lowers opponents accuracy though). If you let it stay then it learns hydro pump. (otherwise it won't learn hydro pump) The fire starter learns a fighting move that can hit flying (attack) pokemon and also learns that high critical hit fire move blaze kick. Both with 85 base damage. The grass guy learns a 70 base damage high critical hit attack called leaf blade but it doesn't learn solar beam naturally. It is all up to you.

P.S. If you want a sweeper (high attacker) take the fire and then wait for the fire gym leader. She will give you a 140 base damage fire move tm but it lowers your special attack ALOT.

P.P.S. If I told you info you already know then I am sorry.

I guess I'll have to choose the Grass or Fire starter.....

Why don't you try giving machamp scream punch over cross chop? From what I've read on this website, the move has 100%(99.6%) accuracy and has a base power of150(225 with STAB) and also has 20-32 pp.

correct me if I wrong.. but isn't scream punch a two turn move.. and if the opponent hits u in the first turn while u're powering up scream punch, u can't use it.

Actually, I learned that its a one turn move the hard way (Friggin' Kekking!). The charge is at the beginning of the turn, and the attack is at the end. If only I attacked with Achii instead of using build-up...

Ash_300

So when you use the move you always go first but all you do is charge, and then after your opponent attacks you attack with the move to finish off the turn right?

That's how it worked on me...

There's no such thing as a 99.6% accuarcy move, that ended after Gold/Silver came out.

Good luck breeding...You do know that Danbaru's line is genderless, right?
