View Full Version : "Biologically Pokémon"

The Pet Keeper
21st October 2003, 04:51 PM
I will post my "biologically correct" pokémon here. I'm really happy that you like thouse pictures, the first time i posted one i got yelled at and was told that "Pokémon look nothing like that!" and such.
Many of the pictures here might look "boring" becuse I'm rather doing a illustration than a "artpiece". So there will be many plain backround and poses straight from the side to show the creature.
---

Here's a old picture i made for a friend, a heracross. I belive that this heracross is a male after looking at the hairy antenas (many male insects has this to easier pick up the smell of females).

Many more incomming :)
I ended the first part of my art-studies this spring (but i'm changing track now, i'm studies to become a biologist :)) as a last prodject, we could choose to do a free prodject. I asked my teacher if i could make some pokémon pictures for grown-ups. She liked the idea alot so i choosed some of the cute pokémon and changed them. My teacher like them alot =)
I've used a quite thick ink pen on thouse and very bright colors, something that I don't do very often anylonger

Keckleon is very much reptile so it was not much to work with (this is also why i don't enjoy to draw pokémon like eevee this way, they already look alot like real animals)
I like this picture and pokémon

I <3 your art. I like how it looks, I love the pikachu... Alot of the pokemon you drew look like they could be in the wild with the other animals, I like how the Heracross seems shy, until you see its menacing battle ax like horn, which kinda gives it the "dont mess with me 8) " attitude.

I think the only minor problems I see is that when you do the exposed skin on the rodents, it should be more brown-grey and not so bright pink. Other than that... I think my favorites are the Gengar and Heracross. Gengar reminds me of this movie about these little hairy guys with huge teeth that ate people (of course). I think it was called "Critters" or something. One part from that movie that stuck in my mind was this one scene where all the critters formed a giant ball and started rolling around, and they ran over a guy, devouring him as they rolled over, and left behind a red skeleton.

Oh yeah, I also like the Doduo. The official one looks too much like its head and legs are sprouting out of the body. Exeggutor would be interesting, I've been fascinated with it recently.

So yeah, just make exposed skin darker and duller, and I think the drawings would look more "real". :wave:

Oooh freaky!! :o That's how I exactly pictured Pikachu. The other ones looked great too, especially the Kecleon and the Azumarill. I knew the Wooper would be based on the axolotl because of the gills on the sides of the heads. I agree that the Doduo is more emu or ostrich-based and it made me imagine how Dodrio would turn out. The Mudkip looks amphibian-like and not fish-like.

It's a break from the cutesy-wutesy look we were used to. I can't wait to see more. They're freaky, but I like it. :D

I'm digging it. I like the detail and pokemon like Gengar have thhat dark twisted feel to it. Go with that, it makes the ned product look excellent.

This is the best stuff I've seen in some time.

I LOVE this one. Axolotls have always been one of my favorite animals, I love how they remain a larva (even though it's possible for them to strangely "mature" in captivity) I could have gotten one once but I didn't have any money with me at the time...

I like how it looks eyeless, like a cave salamander.

Great pics, Really good idea and it looks really refreshing and odd and cool all at the same time. ^_^ Very interesting... I found Gengar the coolest, somehow I think it's the cutest too. Really! Isn't it so cute with that evil smile thing....

EDIT: SIlly edit function won't let me see previous posts. Anyway, whoever it was who said rodents dont have pink skin, some do. :) (http://www.bio-serv.com/images/catalog/rodent/mouse.jpg)

I didn't say rodents don't have pink skin as in never. I just said that it made the pic look too bright for a wild creature. I have rats and mice and one of the rats is hairless and pink :D.

The Pet Keeper
22nd October 2003, 04:10 PM
I really happy that you likes the pictures! ^_^

well, the skin color of a mamal often depends on what furry color the animal has. if you shave a wild brown rat, it's skin will be gray-brownish just like the tail. if the animal is white (like the mice on the picture) the skin is usally pink.
Since the lower part of azumarills body is white i choosed to give it pink skin (i made the paws pink aswell to avoid the picture to become color-confusing). But pikachu should have a tan-yellowish skin color just as you said Iveechan
But the pictures i yet has posted in this topic is mostly just "pokémon for adults" and not bioloically. For example, gengar has no real neck or jaws and heracross horn should be placed upon the middle segment, not the head.
I can also add that i think the scanner messed up the color on some of the pictures and made them much brighter. But i was to lazy to re-scan them :rolleyes:

And for today, a sableye! This picture is BW and i has not desided if to color it yet, i like BW with ink alot. I think sableyes are beutifule little creatures becuse of thier creepyness :)

Also a altaria. it's very budgie-ish (it's becuse i named my lv.100 altaria Emil after my little budgie) and it's also BW with timid ink shading just like sableye. I might color this one too but... nah :/

Wow, now that Sableye really looks like Gollum!

Oh yes, and I love all your other works too, but I think I liked the black and white ones better. Mostly because, with pen and ink, you see more clearly what this picture is about, and not what it's made of, and I find that when I'm trying to make something look realistic it's actually better not to color it. (With me, however, you have to add in the fact that whenever I color something in, I risk totally skrewing it up :P )

Anywaym keep up the good work...etc etc.

:o I agree that Sableye does look like a big-eared Gollum, but freakier. That Altaria one looked good too although it does look like a flying ostrich.

BTW I know how it feels when you're not in the mood to color. I've felt the same way when I inked my pics.

Aah! yay, I just love your style of art!! I can't beleive you actually got yelled at for it before.. O.o; Those people are really boring and need to be more open to different things. -_-; Anyway, I actually find your pictures adorable - probobly because of the fact they look so much like real animals, which I love. Honestly, I'm positive that's exactly how they'd all look if they were real. ^_^ I aodre the Pikachu, oh, and the Heracross!! I'll have to show that one to my nephew.. a huge insect fan, he is. ^^; Seriously... and all the detail you put into them.. it's simply amazing. Keep it up! Wow... your art is cool. Very different from the anime style I'm used to seeing regarding Pokémon art. It would be kinda creepy to run across them in the games or the real world, though.

I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I like the sableye, I don't think it looks like a Gollum.. I think it looks more like a ..hunched over alien? :) The altaria is cool, but you forgot the cool cloudy..mist thing? That'd look cool if it was done right..and im sure you could do it :) Although probably that'd be added during colouring.

3. Do not conform to the style I believe fits the world of pokemon.

4. Are pornagraphic.

Wigglytuff!
jigglypuff was one of the first pokémon i saw and.. ih, it scared me! ^_^;
the huge, blue, staring eyes... :o
but i've overcome that, they are quite cute after all. but then i made this picture and now i think i'm scared of them again...

wigglys are usually night-active pokémon, that's why they have such large eyes (in my mind that is...), the wigglytuff on this pictures is awake in the day or got a flash in the face so the pupils has shrinked to dots

Shiftry :)
i tought i had screwed the entire picture all the time while i made it, but in the end it turned out very well =)
first i was displeased with the shading ink style, but it looked okay when i was done. Then i changed my mind when i started to color it and wanted it BW, but it was too late. But the color looked good to, i like the picture (and the pokémon speices) alot. Shiftry are one of my favorites :)

I belive that shiftry's only show off their big theeth when they are angered, so i closed the mouth on the shiftry on this picture. Being unable to close the mounth when living in symbioses with plants is a bad idea, it will only turn into loss of body fluids that the plants need to grow. I think the leafs on shiftry and nuzleaf are plants that has the routs grown into the skin of the shiftry. seedot lives hidden inside a seed that it has eaten out that seedot then uses as amour (that's how they can "dangle from from branshes" like the pokédex sais... seeds that has not yet fallen to the ground)(there's land animals that can't close their mouth thought, for example, some rodents.)
i'm sort of freaky i know... ^_^;

[Adult Warning!]
(it's the rules, i dunt want to get banned :o)
The warning is not for blood or gore this time, but nudity. yes, you can see the private parts on the shiftry, she happend to get that pose and when i came to the part between the legs i just couldn't leave that area blank. But this is not a porn picture or anything, just nude-ness, so only if you just can't stand the tought of pokémon with sexualorgans, don't look

27th October 2003, 05:07 PM
Yay, more pet keeper stuffs!!!

The Mewtwo is so cute, but the brain cord... thing... looks like the tube on a washing machine. Eh, I'm weird.

I LOVE that Wigglytuff. I kinda made a theory that jigglypuff and clefairy were once the same species, but Clefairy evolved to be cave dwellers while jiggly evolves for a more outdoor lifestyle (Darwinism, woo). Think about it... they're both pink, pixie-like normal types, both sing, both evolve with a moon stone, and both have a disturbing baby form. Those eyes are awesome, leave it to you to make an otherwise cutesy cute creature into something creepy. Reminds me of an aye-aye or a bushbaby.

I like Shiftry too, I really should draw it more. I think it's cool looking. Of course Pokemon have sexual organs, they need to reproduce somehow ;). I mean, Kadabra looks like it has a sheath. Anyway... yes, b/w may have been better because of all the detail, but it's a neat picture nontheless. We don't get many Shiftry pics here. And it's a female ^_^. I like drawing Shiftry with large, sharp canines.

*I posted an Electabuzz with breasts, but put hanging fur where the 'gina would be... I'm sneaky ^_^;*

Oh yeah, you should draw a Jynx or a mr. Mime... many people dislike them, but I like them, and I think seeing a creepy/realistic interpretation of them would be awesome.

Yikes! :o Those are good pics! You even made Wigglytuff a lot more freakier than the cute official artwork. I see what you mean when you said that the big eyes made you think of that species as a night creature.

As for Shiftry, now here's something we don't see everyday. I don't want to get into the details, but I had to say you're so bold at drawing those erm... things. :o It's good to see some Pokémon like Shiftry get drawn. We don't see much of them 'round here.

Well, I think I'll comment on all of those and offer a bit of constructive criticism. ^^;

- Heracross: What can I say.. appropriately anthro-dung-beetly, but I think the eyes should have been yellow (as in the actual pokemon), just to break the 'monotony' in color. I've seen insects with differently colored eyes than their body, so.

- Gengar: Good grief, it's a rabbit-saur... O_O Gengar is apparantly consisted mostly of ephmera (as a ghost) and so I never really imagined it looking like an actual animal. I love that evil grin translated to sharp teeth, though. ^^

- Pikachu: Hn, sorta like a cross between a Rabbit and a Kangaroo Mouse. Hmm. OK. I'm not a big fan of Pikachu, but this one's interesting.

- Wooper: Oh yeah. Wooper is DEFINITETLY an Axlotl. A cutesyfied one, but one nontheless. I do like pictures that bring back the wild side to some of the overcutsified beasts. ^_^

- Kecleon: It's a Kakuresaurus. O_o I dunno. The eyes are kinda odd... And it looks kinda distraught over something. ^^;

- Azumarill: I hate that line with a passion, but... Yeah, Azumarill is less bad when it looks rabbity enough. Although considering that line's tail is that line's natural floater, replacing it with a fur tuft seems a bit, I dunno, out of place. Although I wouldn't mind Azumarill to drown. ;P

- Mudkip: Fwoggie! xD Mudkip isn't exactly an amphibian - I think he's partially based on a Mudskipper and partially on amphibians. And as you said, you didn't know what the gills looked like, so i'll let that flaw pass. You actually made it look kinda cute, in an amphibious kinda way. ^^

- Doduo: Yup, Doduo IS supposed to be an Emu/Ostrich with two heads, heh. I think the beaks should be a tad bit thinner, but that's me.

- Sableye: That Sableye is interesting. *Gollum* I like Sableye, but I sorta think of it as more gremlin-looking and less alien-looking. ^^; and having small spikes on their elbows. and claws. ^^; But it's your interpertation, not mine, so. That mouth is a tad bit too small though. that thing eats minerals, so it needs a way to cut them out somehow (unless if it phases into rocks).

- Altaria: That thing looks more like an Ostrich than a budgie. WAY too long legs. I still think Altaria should by no means look like an Ostrich, but... Eh.

- Mewtwo... Well, It's an interesting interpertation (Looks half-feline-half-equine to me - although Mewtwo is based on Mew, a Kangaroo Rat), but I have a comment regarding that tube. The tube on Mewtwo's head is supposed to start at the base of its neck and attach to the base of its skull (said tube connecting to top or middle of head is a common mistake in mewtwo pics, but still) and in this pic, it's WAY too large in diameter - it kinda looks like it was cut off an electric appliance and screwed into his head.... ^^;

My theory is that the tube contains mostly nerve cells, and is used in a way as a conductor for the excess neural energy so the Mewtwo won't fry its own brain. ;P

- Wigglytuff: Good grief, this thing has got the tiniest pupils i've EVER seen. And look! Elvis Hair! xD I agree on one thing - IT SCARES THE HELL OUT OF ME. I'll never look at that balloon animal the same way ever again.

- The Shiftry so far is my favorite in this particular thread... The face is superb and I LOVE those claws. And the Hooves are... interesting. o_O I always thought Seedot was something living inside an acorn - although Seedot has a suction cup of sorts on its head, allowing it to attach itself to surfaces and drain stuff from them, according to one of its Pokedex entries. But what the hades.

Overall: Quite original interpertations of Pokemon you have there, and the artwork looks quite professional. Reminds me of the official artwork in Deadlock: Planetary Conquest, only with more cracks on the skulls... xD

Dragonfree

Hmmm... some of them are a bit... eh, disgusting, but they're all extremely well drawn. It's noteable how some pokémon just basically are more realistic in the animé form than others - the Pikachu is barely recognizeable for a Pikachu (I personally think you made the hind legs too big compared to the front legs), while the Shiftry hasn't been changed much between the official look and this one. The Wigglytuff looks a lot scarier than Gengar to me... :o

Jynx n' Smoochum
meh... i think jynx is breast-feeding her baby smoochum or something :/
and i defently have to train more at doing hair...
I usually see jynx like a banshee or something, but the one on the picture looks like a fairy without wings. it's sort of a pretty picture IMO
The legs and feet are pretty big, but jynxes has large feet(?).
the feet should been blue too, but i made them purple like the rest of the body.
but i couldn't make nose holes look good in the face so i didn't do any at all. and that annoyes me, mostly creatures with spine has some sort of nose

well, ones could not expect mush else when it comes to a biologally jynx... ^_^;

Yay, at least one of you liked the mewtwo picture.. ^_^; and no, i dunno what it has in the head *thinks*
it's a synthetic spine! to be able to control all the brain activity, it goes lot of info to the nerves in the spine, and the fake spine inside the tube is a help to not overload the natural spine. Now that was cheeeesy.

Iveechan, we should do a "real pokédex" together :)

I can barely iat until you get a scanner Wild Female Machoke, i like your pictures alot =)

Fossil Kabutops, you can post your picture here if you want, but i think you will get more comments if you make a new topic

Vaporeon
all went well with this picture. coloring it was sort of boring becuse of the varity of colors. but once again, boooring pose, but it's more easier for the viewer to see the creatures like i imaged them.
vaporeon is pretty cubby to keep the heat, and he has the classical under-water camoflage, dark back and bright belly

[Adult]
I know, I know... ^_^;
you can see his pe_nis (the doctor word shouldn't be censourd IMO), looks like it would on a dog. the testicles are inside the body thouth, so the cold water won't damage the sperm.

(you gotta tell me if i'm too much, as i said before i'm studies to become a biologist and i don't find this sort of things... discroupting at all)

Remember that if you don't want to see pokémon this way, don't click!

Isn't the Abra family wearing some sort of psuedo-armor? I figure that if they are that intelligent they would be civilized enough to wear clothing. And you could argue the Ralts family is wearing clothes (even though it looks liek a grass-type).

The Vaporeon wasn't too bad, but I was expecting more of a sea-lion/otter sort of deal.

I think the best stuff so far has been the bugs or the ghosts (gengar was awesomeness).

You have NO idea... how happy I am to finally see a Jynx picture like this. Really, I am, even though I draw kinda risqué drawings myself, I would never post a jynx like that. And I just recently pm'd WFM saying that a nekkid Jynx would get bashed. Good for you! I love anthro Pokemon.

Yeah, her feet do seem oddly big. Oh, and that Pinsir is neato, even though the look of bugs doesn't really appeal to me in general. The Vaporeon's sheath isn't too mature, I mean, they sell plastic dog figures with sheaths and I have a male dog myself.

Ooh, a "real" Pokedex? Sounds good ^_^

*Drowzee line is nekkid... I don't feel that just because they are intelligent, that's why Pokemon are shown wearing clothes. Humans are intelligent, but not every culture wears clothes that cover all. To me, psychic anthro Pokemon have about the same intelligence as anthro fighting, very high. The covering-all clothes in our society stemmed more from status and modesty. Pokemon are wild creatures and don't always have to be modest about their bodies. I think it became a tradition among trainers to clothe the more human-like Pokemon*

WHOA!! :o Now I see everything! I really thought there would be nasty remarks when you draw Jynx in the buff after I discussed this with Iveechan. I really like how you portrayed her as a mother of some sorts (as many female Pokémon should be.) The only thing that bugged me about the pic is the big feet. It looks very awkward.

I too draw risqué pics myself. (Although you can see everything, I managed to put them in a VERY tasteful way.) Pics like this usually make me blush, especially when it comes to displaying them. Now that there's some, I lost my fear. *pictures American Beauty-type pose*

As for Vaporeon, I see why people were not used to seeing something like this. I also owned a male dog and I don't see it as offensive. Chubby, yes. I kinda pictured Vaporeon as having a layer of blubber like seals and walruses.

More pictures! cool, but to me the Vaporeon looks a bit like the mudkip picture, the same style was used I think? Acutally I don't know what im talking about, I havn't looked at the mudkip one in a while!!

I like the pinsir, very nice take on it :) Jynx looks cooler now, I wish they never gave her silly armour, haha.

I think it stems more from not freezing to death.

... let's say it's a forest jynx so she don't need clothes to stay warm... heh ^_^;
maybe ice pokémon like to be cold? no, that don't really make sence :/ :no:

i was prepared for flaming, but i already got many people on my side, yay! :)

Oh, I totally agree with you Iveechan that all the anthro-pokémon has high intelegence, that would also be an extra reason for calling them anthro pokémon (i think other pokémon is quite smart too, but the anthros is like humans). Anthro pokémon are my favorite too, i just wish that they'd put shiftry in that group too, it really look like one too IMO, nuzleaf also look like a anthro.
(Iveechan, If you are intreasted about that pokédex idea, maybe you could PM me? it could be fun :))

I don't think gardevoir is wearing a dress at all, it think it's something else... (muwhaha... I'll post that one soon :) don't worry, it won't be adult rated)

once again, thanks for commenting! =)

I just love the way they all looks so real, the way you draw them they look like something out of Dungeons and Dragons, so cool!

Oh yes, and I always thought of Jynx as being a Valkyrie, what whith that bra she wears. :rolleyes:

That Pinsir pwns.

Oh yes, I always thought of Vaporeon as being a little sleeker, more seal like and less, well, lumpy. But it's nice all the same!

:wave:

Well Raz, I mostly disagreed with your "more civilized" comment. That comment of mine wasn't well organized 'cause i was in a hurry.

Anyway...

Sure, I'll pm after I eat and stuff. Oh yeah, scales on the Vaporeon was interesting, like others I imagined it to have short, sleek seal fur. I also forgot to mention that the texture look on Shiftry and Pinsir are awesome, you really should consider going into illustration of some kind.

Yes, because of course an Ice-type pokemon like Jynx really needs clothing. Makes perfect sense.

Especially if it lives with it's trainer in the freezing cold regions of Cinnabar island. Then it really needs clothing.

I could go on about protection from the enviroment and that I was referring to humans when I replied to Iveechan, but you seem to have a bad habit of not reading my posts lately.

Ooo, new pics.

The Jynx is excellent. She looks like she hasn't got a care in the world (and doesn't have to wear lipstick and a stupid padded dress... XD). Wearing clothes first developed as protection from environment, granted, but from serving a biological need it evolved into a 'social' rule, out of various reasons. With that much hair on her head, Jynx can use her hair as a natural 'cloak' to keep herself warm. However, as the 'official' pokemon were created by a human, I believe they thought that just because certain pokemon are humanlike, they apply to human laws, and thus Jynx must wear a silly outfit.

Pinsir... I like the way you draw insectoid beasts. One small comment - granted, Pinsir DOES look roach-like, but it really is a stag beetle. So says its dex entry. Interesting interpertation but ya kinda got the wrong animal. ^^;

Vaporeon... Eh. Apparantly this world splits to two groups - ones who think vaporeon should look more graceful and catlike, and streamlined (in a way, like a Dolphin or certain types of seals), and those who think Vap is fat to insulate it from cold water (like certain OTHER species of seals. :p). I belong to group #1. But it's an interesting interpertation, albeit a bulky one. Oh, And those fins are EXCELLENT.

Lol, I don't want this to turn into a big deal. I just said some stuff... weirdly. And now I'm semi-awake. I wonder if Mr. Mime has clothes or if those are markings on its body? Mime reminds me of a mammalian treefrog, like those things on its fingers would be suctions.

O.o again......the Jynx is perfect......yes, naked....I love realistic things, I could say ONLY realistic, so I dont really like Nintendo Jynx, but yours is much cooler.

The Vaporeon: Never seen a cooler pic of Vaporeon than this.
But I think the eye could be other than blue.

Pinsir: wow, looks like the bugs from movies, you know those overgrown carnivore bugs and insects that ll eat you alive....very cool.

I LOVE YOUR ART!!

The Pet Keeper

well, i made vaporeon look more like a fish becuse it has fish fins behind the ears where the gills normaly should be on a fish, the backfin looks alot like a fish fin aswell. No mamal(can't spell) has more then 2 pair of limbs, but vaporeon has 6 pair. The fins on the head would normal represent the front legs of a land-spine animal, wich makes my idea strange, and evolution normally don't go backwards, and that makes my idea even more strange. but it has alot to do with my taste, i like creatures without spine a lot. not that fish don't have spines, but they are closer mamals.
if i was to do another vaporean (wich i probally won't becuse it was sooo boring coloring it ^_^; ... i could make a sketch tought) i could try a mamal edition, but then it would miss all the head fins(possibly i keep the head fin as a solid fin), backfin would be solid, legs more like solid fins (no paws), small dot eyes (mamal eyes don't work very well in water), maybe no furry. but i'm afraid that would move "my" vaporeon a little too far way from what original.

I don't know what a "stag beetle" is in english (I'm from Sweden), could someone please post a link or picture of one? please? :)
i also missed/didn't remember that part in the pokédex, but with thouse horns?/jaws? (i guess jaw) it's defently not a roach. i only took insperation from roaches when i made the pinsir :) but there's one intreasting thing pinsir is missing just like roaches, the cover-wings and under-wings (only a few speices of roaches is missing them i might add, forexample, the ones that like to hide in kitchens has wings), i think that's why pinsir reminds me alot of a roach. i'll stop bugging you now... sorry, i just couldn't resist, that kind of word jokes is just so annoying XD

That creature would be a stag beetle. ^_^ apparantly there's at least 50 sub-species of stag beetles, that's just the first one i found.

meh, just a picture i been having in my computor for awhile. nothing special (abra char, that's why he has thouse stripes and black ears). I just post it if someone would like to see it.
I sometimes don't color pictures that was planned to be colored or color pictures that was planned to be BW, but this picture was planned to be BW and inked, wich it also is :)
the original is only about 2x1 inch, that's why it maybe appear a little bit messy.

wow, Jynx is so cool, she looks way better than the original, i can picture her wearing a bikini sorta bra with a skirt perhaps made of dried reddish brown palm leaves, or sumpin like that!

i do like vaporeon, but i did expect a more streamlined body, but i think this interpretation look absolutely wicked too!

i think it would be an excellent idea for urself and Iveechan too teamup to do a whole pokedex! id definitely be eager to see it!

i thought Pinsir looked quite cool, but i think it needs to go more on the stag beetle design!

All of those pictures are excellent! The Pinsir really grabbed my attention. Hey, I was just wondering , I already threw this idea at Iveechan and she (Iveechan is a girl right? I'm so sorry if I'm mistaken) seemed to like it. Do you think you'd be able to fit in the time or would want to try doing Marowak and/or Sandslash. I don't want to make you feel too busy so it's just a suggestion. Once again, great artwork!

Hello Again!

Tough i still see your art as a bit ackwards, i cannot deny that they´re wonderful jobs :)

I had never seen before such realistic aproach to the world of Pokémon. I tried myself drawing Pokeys with lots of details, but never too oriented to real-life creatures.

I just Love what you did with Vaporeon (I´m still wondering why the original has so many "extra" fins), specially the body structure ^^. BTW, about Vapy, how is the position of his (don´t remenber how to say it in english :P) "tail"? Vertical Fish-like or Horizontal-Whale like?

Also, Wiggly, Pinsir and Heracross are awesome ^^

As always, wicked pics!!! I especially like Pikachu, Azumarill and Mewtwo. The Jynx one is so cute! I have an urge to draw a realistic Raichu now (I have a thing for drawing rodents since I have 22 guinea pigs lol)
It's a neat idea to do realistic Pokémon.

Still not a HUGE fan, but I just wanna say I like your non-mammal artwork better. The mammals seem to look skinless(even in nature veins don't show all that much) and some are a bit...odd...(I think Azumarrils dex data says it's rubbery...I KNOW Wigglytuffs says it is).

Anyway, what about a charizard? Reptiles seem to be your strong point, so why not show us some reptilian power?
