Silver Cave

Can you only get to the silver cave after you've beaten the game? I just beat the Champion (HAHA Suicine owned him) and i really would like a tyrannitar.... but they're only in the sliver cave. Can I get there soon?

To get access to Mt. Silver, you need to have beaten the Elite 4 and Lance, and you also need the 8 Kanto Gym Badges. After you get the 8 Kanto Gym Badges, go back to Pallet Town and talk to Professor Oak, and he will open up the path to Mt. Silver. To get to Mt. Silver, go to Viridian City, and leave Viridian by it's west exit. (Route 22) Make your way to the Reception Gate, once inside, go to the left, and the guard should let you through to Mt. Silver. :)

Also, in the Crystal version, you can get a Larvitar from the Celadon City Game Corner for 8888 Game coins.
