Xian [Gotta love Pirate Mermen]
------------

I yawned a little, stepping out of one of the portals and into Loiria. It was morning on Phantasm, the skies misty here due to all of the rivers and bodies of water. The morning dew covered the grass that my ebon boots trotted through. I was walking through the city, towards the docks where my ship, Starlight Phantasy, was ported. I had ordered my crew to be here to get ready to set sail before the morning flow of traders and merchant ships pulled in.

However, once I reached the dock it was clearly noted that nill to none of my crew was here, and those who were, were sleeping on barrels with their petty AFK(Away from Keyboard) messages up. I sighed and nudged one of the crew men, trying to get him back to the ship with no avail.

"What lousy men I picked up..." I smiled. I couldn't really say anything negative towards my crew, they were like family.

A soft wind picked up my sea green hair and had it brush gently upon my white cotton shirt and flirt with leather bound hips. I suppose I'd have to wait for the rest of my men to show.

Sephial [The luffable Monkey]
---------

It was early morning when I bounded off the portal into Loiria. The air was fresh, most likely from all of the dew and sea water everywheres. It was a shame I never ate before I got here, and my dissapointed expression and grumbling stomach made my suffering visible. I flenched one of my ears and headed towards the dock where Starlight Phantasy was. It didn't take that long, since the portal was close by the docks anyways and much needed energy wasn't burned that would've made me even more hungry.

Instantly I cought wind of that soft fragrence of sea salt and the sight of soft green wavy hair. My heart jumped and I quickly ran over towards Xian and tackled him to the ground.

"Waaaaiiiii~!!! Xian-kun~!! You're here! See? Look! I'm here too!" I giggled in delight, clinging onto Xian's arm.

THWAP!

A blow was given to my head, knocking me down to the ground in a comedic pose as tears streamed down my eyes.

"Baka saru!! (You Stupid Monkey!!)" Xian glared, his hand clenched into a fist. "You shouldn't startle me like that!"

"Itaaaaaiii yoooooooo! (Owwww!)" I cried, rubbing my head and giving him a pouty expression. "You don't have to be so mean you Pervy Water Sprite!" this comment only seemed to give me another knock against the head from the annoyed yet collected Captain. I pouted again and my starving stomach interrupted us both with another loud growl.

"....You didn't eat again, did you?" Xian sighed, lifting me up from the ground and dusting me off. My brown fuzzy ears tilted back some, and I hung my head.

"Iie... harahetta... (No... I'm hungry...)" I whined quietly. Xian shook his head and started to write something upon a piece of paper. This perked my intrest and I popped up behind him, leering over his shoulder to see what he was doing.

"What're doing Xian-kun??" I questioned excitedly.

"About to take you out for breakfast." Xian stated calmly, placing the note on one of the barrels infront of the ship stating 'Taking Sephial To Get Food, Again. -Xian' I jumped up in the air, extending my arms up and cheered. I was going to get fed!! I loved food, who doesn't? It's so yummy and tasty!

"Ne ne, which place are we going to today Xian? Ohhh what about The Hook and Sink?? They make nummy pancakes and and fishcakes and waffles!" I bounced happily behind Xian as he walked towards my favorite eating place.

========
You can expect Sephial to always have a face like this "^___^!!" lol. He's very.. uh.. animated :P

Evandelle [The Quiet Maiden]
---------

Quietly I stepped out of the portal into Cannock. I had been called here by an individual who was saying that evil creatures from the Forest of Shadows was plaguing his home. I never had been into Cannock before, but I knew the monsters here were difficult, so I made sure to stock up on potions and herbs before hand incase I got in some sort of bad situation.

The City of Cannock was always known to be a rather shady part of PO, avoided by those who don't like looking for trouble. I looked over the e-mail to once again read over the address to this man's place as I wandered further into the city. I passed by a few shops and peered in the windows at some items that caught my eye, such as crystals and other gems. I found them to be pretty, especially crystals and gems carved into pretty shapes like flowers or animals. A warm smile sparkled on my lips as I turned away and slowly made it to the man's house, my ofuda and other banishing materials on hand in my invatory (sp?).

My feet lightly tapped against the stone stepping, making a little jingle noise due to the bells. Once I made it up to his door I gave a gentle knock and waited for a reply. Perhaps he wasn't online? However, he said he would be at this time...

Sorry for the short intro posts ^_^;;;; I'm in school right now. Anyone can be the man for Evandelle or I can just have him be an NPC.

UPDATE: the new eating place, The Hook and Sink will be added to Loiria. Be sure to look back at the information for updates on People and Places! I'll post on the thread when there is an update ^_^

Also, Character Sketches have been put up in the Sign Up Thread!

[Hourglass - Ex-Newbie]
-----------------
I stretched as I appeared in Pembroke, noticing it was emptier than usual, even if it was still packed with people from other timezones. I sighed, my breath lifting my antennae.

Getting here early has its advantages.

I walked towards the portal, and rubbed my eyes, still half-asleep. My wings flapped in response, and I smiled sleepily.

Quietly singing a song, and tapping my foot a few times, I was soon transported to Reeve, and the jolt finally woke me up.

I stood at the portal for a minute, a teenage boy with spiked blonde hair bumping into me. I blinked, and apologized quickly, while he muttered one.

A older-looking player (maybe in his late teens?) approached me, pulling his chocolate hair back into a ponytail. He smiled.

"You must be Hourglass, ne?" I nodded twice, and he motioned for me to follow him, and we started walking.

I wonder how he knew I was going to be here. Der...they're Fortune Tellers, silly.

"How long have you been playing, Hourglass?" He smiled again, and I giggled.
"A few months now." He raised an eyebrow, and nodded.
"Great. Well, the Guild House is just outside of the city. You shouldn't have any problem finding it. If you do, either look for me, or ask someone. Most people are friendly." I blinked, and he smiled again, but it was a more nervous one.

We were now on the less well kept roads, the city skyline cutting into the sunrise.
He stopped, and pointed to a building a little ways away.
"That's the Threads of Destiny. You'll need a password to get in." When he leant down, and whispered, I blushed a little.

~At the Guild~

"Ah, Ten, you've arrived." A young, really pretty woman was sitting there, and he nodded.
"Yes. This is Hourglass." I bowed, and she smiled. She seemed to produce a deck of cards from nowhere, and she handed them to me. I flipped through them, and grinned when I saw they were tarot cards, but their designs were based on PO character designs.

"Awh! They're adorable! Thank you!" I giggled, and Ten and the lady smiled.
"You're welcome, Hourglass." I beamed back.
"Oh, please, call me Hour." She nodded, and looked at Ten.
"Ten will show you around, and where we tell fortunes for a small pay. More people come here than you think." She winked, and I giggled.

Ten tugged on my shirt, and nodded his head towards a hallway that lead further into the Guild House.
--------------
Eheh, in case you didn't notice, the boy she bumps into at the portal was a little reference to Arkon. Hope that's okay, HbCharizard. ^-^;

[Seraphim - Hacker]
--------------------
I looked up, and smirked.

A young, teenage-looking girl was walking through the halls, looking nervous at all of the snow and ice around her.

I stared at her, and she looked up at me.
"Ah, excuse me? Where the hell am I?" I laughed, and she started to hop from one foot to another. I knew she was staring at my blindfold.
"You'd be in Frozen Rain, an ice and snow dungeon."
"Nani?! (What?!) I wanted to get to Fantalia." She sweatdropped, and I just lifted my head to the icy ceiling.
"You must of gotten lost. Just go back to the portal, and keep the word Fantalia always in you mind, alright? Think faeries." She nodded, her cat ears twitching.
"Thanks." I just nodded, and she walked off, soon vanishing.

"Tsk. Newbies." I muttered, and shrugged to no one.

I drew a sword, and walked off down the dark hallway, my wings flapping in the cold.
I heard a roar that shattered some of the icicles, and the ground beneath me slightly. I sheathed my sword. Not good enough.

"Damn, I didn't want to run into a Ice Oni." I browsed through my inventory, choosing one of my favorite staffs. I rolled my shoulders, my neck cracking.

Standing, waiting. I wish all of my time in Phantasm was like this.

Jing: Demon Thief (Rogue)

No sooner then when my feet touched the ground next to the portal in Malith they sprang back up again. The cool morning air rushed through my fully-open wings, and I inhaled it with pleasure. Just the thing to wake me up in the morning: a nice flight. There weren’t too many players on at this hour, and the few like me would probably either have just come on or be leaving soon from an adventure that had lasted way too long. Either way, I wasn’t in the mood for stealing.

The flight was nice. I saw a few people I knew, no one in particular. It was strange, I started noticing, even in a world where people knew that a character could fly they still didn’t look up that often. Or maybe it was the fact that my wings were silent and next to no one was on anyway.

I landed on top of a building, not bothering to check which one. Sighing, I lay back on it and relaxed; the early-morning cold seeping onto my wings and back. I had almost actually dozed off when a scuffle below me caught my attention. I noticed I was on top of the Swarthy Maiden, and some drunk was being kicked out. This was always good for a laugh.

Yeah, it was the usual deal. Some guy, looked like a human fighter, had gotten angry while drunk, started attacking randomly (and sloppily; I sweatdropped) at people, and was being ‘escorted’ out. I was about to go find something else more interesting when the familiar, beautiful sparkle of a gold item caught my eye. It had fallen out of the drunkard’s pocket, but there were too many people watching for me to swipe it. Dang. Note to self: tag that guy.

The fight was suddenly over. Someone has tossed cold water on the man, and he was now walking away stupidly. He took his coin, too. Oh, this looked like the beginnings of a good day.

I trailed the fighter from the roofs, stopping every so often to make sure no one spared more than a passing glance. From my experience, it was quite common for flyers to use the roofs if the roads were too crowded or they just felt like it. There was also a hidden advantage few outside of thievery knew: it was next to impossible to steal something off of someone on a rooftop paying half a cent of attention. At least it was in my case: I didn’t want to get found out.

I realized, cursing early morning drowsiness, that I had trailed the human to the edge of the city and I had almost ran out of roof. It was now or a very, very difficult time later. Making one final glance to check no one was looking, I sprung off the roof and, using the ground as a springboard, took a flying leap at behind the drunkard. This was one of the most fun ways to steal, and chances didn’t present themselves very often. Passing about half a foot behind him, I reached out in one fluid, practiced motion, grabbed the coin out of his pocket. Safely cleared of him, I spread my wings and took off upward. A passing glance backwards revealed the drunkard, staring off into space dumbly in the direction I had come from. That was almost too easy, but man was it fun!

Making a turn and landing on top of another roof, I inspected my prize. It looked to be of about medium value for my standards (meaning pretty expensive), I could probably get a good meal or four off of this.

Which reminded me, I hadn’t checked in with the leader of Klepto’s Paradise for a while. Something good might have finally turned up in the treasure snatching business...

OOC: Snow’s profile will be on the sign-up sheet shortly.

Imani

“Ah, another morning,” I said brightly as I entered Zeranth through the portal. The scent of various animals welcomed me. It was time to feed my beloved dragon. I checked my inventory and saw that I still had a Leg of Cattle. I started walking toward Noah’s Ark (the stall where Icarus is kept) when I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. Behind me was a Beast character, half Arctic Fox with blue eyes. She was about 4’10” and around ten years old, and looked very nervous. I put on a friendly smile and she calmed down a bit.

“Hi. You have big ears,” she said softly.

I was surprised by her comment. “Yeah, I guess they are pretty big. What’s your name?”

“My name’s Snow. What’s yours?”

“Imani’s my name. I haven’t seen you around here before; are you a Newbie?”

She blinked. “What’s a Newbie?”

I sighed. She didn’t even know the online terms. “Is this your first time in Phantasm?” I clarified.

“Yes. I’m a little lost, too.” She grabbed my tail and hugged it, like a little girl with a teddy bear.

Someone’s playing their role. “Well, with you being a Beast character, you’re in the right place. Why don’t you hang with me today? I’ll show you around some of Phantasm.” I pulled my tail out of her grasp and walked to Noah’s Ark with her following me.

“Where are you taking me?” Snow asked me curiously, once more holding onto my tail.

“We’re going to see my dragon.” We entered the stall, greeting the NPC that ran it. I saw my dragon curled up in the hay, his green scales glittering where the sun hit them. He opened his eyes and gave one of his happy growls, one that almost sounded like a purr. Snow peered in the pen and stretched a hand toward Icarus. I yanked her hand back before Icarus had a chance to bite it off.

“You really are a Newbie! You shouldn’t just go try to pet an animal that doesn’t belong to you!” I yelled at her.

She gave me an annoyed look. “Your dragon looks weird,” she said simply.

That was a shot through the heart. “Well, you act weird!” I retaliated.

Her look instantly changed. “Sorry.”

What’s with this girl? “Um, that’s okay?” There was a lack of a better response. “You’ll be in big trouble if you wander around with this personality. I almost forgot! What class are you?”

She held out something to me. It was my flute! “I want to be a thief.”

I took my flute from her hand. “You’re a pretty good thief. I don’t know much about thieving, but why don’t we go find you someone who does?”

She went back to holding my tail, squeezing it tighter than before. “I want to stay with you.”

“Okay, let’s try being a Ranger, okay?”

Arkon [The Lovable Player Killer Killer]
~~~
I sighed as I stepped out of the Portal into Reeve. Not many People were here at the time, considering it was early. I read over the E-mail that sent me here. It said that lot's of player killing has been happened here.
"Stupid Prank E-ma...." I didn't get to finish as I felt the butt of a sword on my head. I fell, and rolled as I barely dodged the sharp part of the sword.
"What the.." I said as I did a back flip to dodge a fire Attack.
"Hey, I heard you kill Player Kilers!" The One of the 5 guys said.
"What of it." I said.
"Well, Then, We'll Have to kill you! For good!" They Said.
' Kill me for good? ' I thought to myself. ' Hackers! They Probaly will kill me off for good! '
"Oh S***" I said as I ran, Something I haven't done for a while. They Chased me untill we got to the Fortune Teller Guild. I ran in and continued running, Different Fortune Tellers looking at me. I looked back, and it seemed that I have lost them, untill I ran into someone.
"Stupid..People.....Running into people..." I mumbled untill I saw who it was. It was the girl I ran into earlier.
"Uh...Hi?" I said.
Do you mind if I put an identity to that man Evandelle is going to meet?
Idimmu Marduk
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I walked swiftly through the dark, dirty streets of Cannock. I recieved e-mails regularly from my clandestine supplier of artifacts and special items, and I hated that we always met somewhere in this disgusting city. Well, I thought, at least it isn't Filece. My dull, black boots made a clop noise with every heavy-footed step I made as I turned down one of the few stone-paved alleyways. The city of Cannock was bad, but always interesting. Some smaller roads were dirt, and some were paved, while some main roads with nothing more than ruts in the mud, and all along them were unclean, dingy stone buildings with boarded windows--secret meeting places of the scum that feeds off of the people in the town. And yet, on the same roads, you can find reputable places of business, selling gems and jewelry. This time, my meeting place had an actual address--which was rare. This usually meant that he had little of value to offer me, and everyone knew that if a supplier in Cannock gives an address to meet, either someone is going to die, or they have little to offer. Perhaps this is what he had in mind, for though he made dealings often with my Guild, he was by no means a fool.

I passed the shops containing shining gems and glinting jewelry--making a mental note to check for obsidian stones to be used for rune stones and rings. As I neared the address, I could see someone was already there--and not my supplier. This was very unusual. It was a girl, perhaps not yet twenty--elven by the look of her. Her dark blue hair cascaded down her back and her priestess-like garb accented her beauty--or what would be beauty to most other races, for I found women of the Demon race to be more attractive than the Elves--Elves are too fragile--but that's a bias. I lightened my step, walking silently up behind her.

"What might an enchanting elf-girl be doing in this place, hm?" I asked as charmingly as possible--which was more charming than most Humans can be. She gasped and spun around quickly and gracefully. I couldn't help but grin. At seeing me, I saw her arms tense, as if ready to draw weapons, and her eyes glinted with fear and power. I squinted slightly and focused on her to sense her aura--one of silver, and aura of neither good nor evil--though predominately good, something I had only seen in a few players before--a Spiritualist. "I don't see many Spiritualists around here either," I said, my eyes flashing a bit. She swallowed hard--well, as hard as an elf is capable of swallowing. "What's your name dear? Oh, and please don't try to banish me, I've had enough people try that this week," I said with a bit of humor. I saw her hold back a faint smile.

"Evandelle," she said simply, but with an air of elegance that let her name roll off the tongue, as all Elven names do.

"I am Idimmu Marduk," I said softly, using an alteration of my commanding whisper to show respect and humbleness. I heard the click of a door lock and the heavy door was pulled open a crack.

"Ah! It's you Idimmu, and the young lady I sent for, excellent!" a voice called from inside, with an accent that was unmistakably Elvish. He opened the door the rest of the way.

"Why hello Kai. I wasn't aware you had any visitors today, or I may have tried to arrange another date," I said, being as friendly as possible.

Sorry if you don't like how I portrayed your character, I tried to stay as true to her personality as possible. I also hope you don't mind me putting a name to the man (Kai-Veleryan that is).

That was fine ^_^ I left it open for a reason hehe

Evandelle
-------

"What might an enchanting elf-girl be doing in this place, hm?" I heard a deep husky voice speak. Quickly I spun around, wided eyed from being startled and a gasp was pushed out from between my lips. I started to grow tense, reaching into my sleeves for those slips of paper that banished those of an evil aura, my ofuda.

"I don't see many Spiritualists around here either," the demon broke my silence. A subtle gulp was given as I stepped back a little from the man, my ofuda still within grasp hidden beneath my sleeves.

"What's your name dear? Oh, and please don't try to banish me, I've had enough people try that this week," His gentle humour caused another smile to dance upon bluish tiers (lips).

"Evandelle." I spoke in silkened tone.

"I am Idimmu Marduk," he responded in a humble, low husky voice. I closed my eyes in a happy smile before snapping them open to the sound of someone walking to the door and creeking it open.

"Ah! It's you Idimmu, and the young lady I sent for, excellent!" a voice called from inside, with an accent that was unmistakably Elvish. He opened the door the rest of the way.

"Why hello Kai. I wasn't aware you had any visitors today, or I may have tried to arrange another date," the demon said, as if he was familiar with this character. The name of Kai rang in my head, and I tried to think of where I heard it before.

Kai.. Kai.. Kai-Veleryan!? I almost gasped, but forced myself to show no outward expression. Kai-Veleryan, he was the one that the Elves back in Lorasia warned and mocked about while sipping their fine wines. Apparently he was associated with the Necromancer Guild, which was always thought of a darker and sinful form of magick. My insides squirmed. What did he want with me? I cautiously watched the demon who stepped inside, kindly greeting the exhiled Elf.

"I'm so glad you two could make it." the Necromancer Blacksmith said cheerfully, urging the both of us into his house. Figuring out this new information I was suddenly on my toes. It made me feel nervous and curious as to what was now wanted from me. However I had to keep these thoughts clear from my mind, there was no use in clouding it to hinder any abilities of mine incase something went drastically wrong. I was with a Demon and Exhiled Elf after all...

You played Evandelle really well ^_^ *applauds*

Snow

I looked up at Imani as she fed her dragon. “Imani, what kinds of places are there?”

She looked down at me, smiling. “All sorts of places.” She turned and left the stall, me following close behind. She was just as friendly as when I first met her. That made it all the more tempting to get her in trouble.

“Imani, I want to see a place near water,” I said to her, starting to walk towards the portal.

Her ears drooped a little. “Okay, we can go to one. How about Loiria? They have a lot of ships there and a great place to eat.”

I smiled, knowing the time that she said that she can get seasick sometimes. “Okay, let’s go!” I ran the rest of the way to the portal.

Imani stood beside me. “Okay, do you know how to go to another city?” she asked me.

I smiled and nodded. I knew how to go there, alright. I teleported before Imani could start explaining the process, arriving at Loiria before her. She arrived a few seconds later, her eyes wide. “Are you sure you’re a newbie?” she asked me.

I ignored her question and ran to get a closer look at the ships out on the harbor. Imani stood where she was, holding her head like she had a headache. I ran back to her. “Imani, where’s that restaurant you were talking about?” She pointed to a place labeled “The Hook and Sink”. We walked inside and took a seat. I looked at all of the different characters and found another Beast character, a monkey. He wore torn clothes and was happily eating his breakfast. Beside him was a Merman character. I walked behind the Beast and tugged his tail. He turned around and looked at me, his mouth full of food.

“What do you want?” he asked me.

“Baka,” I said quietly.

He swallowed and glared at me. “What was that?” he asked me.

I smiled innocently. “BAKA SARU!” I shouted at him.

He growled and got out of his seat. I giggled and hid behind Imani’s leg.

Imani stopped from giving her order and looked at me. “Snow, what are you doing?”

“He’s being mean to me!” I whined, pointing at the monkey.

“She made fun of me!” he whined back, pointing at me.

“Snow, apologize,” Imani said in a low voice.

There’s no way I’m going to apologize to a monkey. I shook my head furiously.

“Then we’re leaving.” She left the restaurant.

I waited for Imani to leave and then stuck my tongue at the Beast. I ran out before he could do anything.

Sephial [I am NOT a baka saru ;____; *whine*]
---------

Happily I bounced into The Hook and Sink and quickly found myself a vaccant table, sliding my butt in while swooshing my tail back and forth. Xian quietly followed and sat across from me at the booth.

"Ne ne, what're you getting Xian-kun?" I piped, already snatching a menu and browsing through the lists of food.

"Just some ale..." That was Xian alright. When aggitated he didn't eat and drank some gin or ale. I frowned a little at the thought of dissapointing or annoying Xian. I didn't want to, he meant a lot to me. He was always there to save me from some kind of trouble, just like the first time we met.

Xian glanced up at me and stared at my frown for a moment. I knew what he was thinking, that it wasn't like me to frown at all so quickly a beamed a smile and dramatically pointed to one of the items on the menu.

"I want Pancakes with loootttsssss of syrup! And milk pwease!!" Xian waved a waitress over and ordered my said food with his natural calm and collected self. Placing my elbows upon the table and my chin within my hands, I smiled. Xian picked up a newspaper that was left behind and started to read over it. I swayed my tail back and forth watching him read it in his breath taking silence. My wonderous thoughts came to a hault as food was placed before my face. Instantly my eyes sparkled and I started to shove the food into my mouth after saying "Sankyuu" to Xian.

My tail continued to sway as I happily ate my breakfast, Xian keeping to himself. It was then that I felt a sharp tug on my butt. Quickly I turned around, pancakes puffing my cheeks out as I glared at the one who dared pull my tail.

"What do you want??" I asked upsettingly as I gulped down my food. It was a little girl and her hand was grasped around my light brown tail.

"Baka." she said bluntly.

"What was that!?" I shouted, angered.

"BAKA SARU!!" she screamed. I hated it when people called me a stupid monkey. I wasn't stupid! I growled and jumped out of my seat and started to chase the little girl who quickly hid behind another Beast character.

"Snow, what're you doing?" She asked the little girl.

"He's being mean to me!!" She cried, pointing her finger at my accusingly.

"She's made fun of me!!" I pointed back and retaliated.

The other girl told the little one to appologize, but she didn't. Instead the two of them left and I watched with a confused expression upon my face.

"Wow, I can't believe everyone can tell you're just a stupid monkey." Xian said too calmly while reading his paper. I whined and pouted, walking back to my seat and plopping in.

"I am not stupid you Stupid Seaweed Head Water Sprite!!" I exclaimed. Xian lowered his paper and looked at me with one of his brows quirked up.

"Stupid Seaweed Head Water Sprite? You really are a baka." he said cooly. My ears drooped down and I began to eat my breakfast again in silence.

"...Don't get so gloomy." said Xian, still reading the paper. "You may be an idiot, but at the same time that's what draws people to you. And wipe that frown off your face, you look a lot cuter when acting like a dolt instead of being angsty."

My eyes glanced up at him and I couldn't help but smile. It was that smile that sent another burst of energy through my system and I started to ramble on to Xian, asking what our plans were for this trip and what he was reading along with if he wanted any of my food. The merman shouted at me to shut up and whacked me upon my head once more. This was the life I lived and it was the life I wanted to live... with Xian.

Jing: Demon Thief (Rogue)

Sighing, I stood up and pocketed the coin. If I was gonna catch the leader before the other members of Klepto’s Paradise got on, I’d have to move quickly. No telling when one could show up...

My wings caught the wind and I lifted skyward once again. The sun had come up quite a bit now, and more people were getting on. As I cleared the border of Malith into the mountains, the sudden flock of people vanished once again and the rocks below me sat undisturbed. Spotting the familiar odd-shaped one that marked Coin in Palm, I began my lazy decent.

I picked a nice-sized rock to touch down on, yawned, and lay down on my back. This was the secret way in which I let the leader know I was back for any news without arousing much suspicion. If other thieves spotted me, I looked like just a dozing character after a long adventure.

A shuffling behind me told me that the leader was outside now. I mumbled, very quietly just in case, “Is everyone else gone?”

“Yes.” I sat up, blinking a few times to get my eyes adjusted back to the sun. This was how I was used to business; it was a very careful and practiced routine. “Anything good come up lately?”

“Kilett’s been mass pillaged several times, so we’re waiting for the treasure to be reset there. Aside from the normal, rumors have been flaring up that the treasure’s finally back in the Catacombs.”

My ears perked up at this news. “Really... Do we have any news on what it is yet?”

“No one is sure what exactly is there, and all the guesses conflict. It’s a shame that the last time someone got through the high level, it wasn’t one of us. We could sure use that information.” There was a chuckle. “Do you want to know some of the more outrageous guesses have been recently?”

I shook my head. “No. I just want to know what it is, if it’s truly as good as rumors say.”

“You should really try to get it, Kid.” That was part of our routine: never use our names. Even that much to the wrong person’s ears could send us both out of the water for good.

“Nah... Last time I tried I didn’t even get halfway in.” A sigh. “That was a month ago, Kid. You should really try again. I know for a fact you’ve improved a lot recently. Oh, by the way, that coin is good enough for about three meals, just so you know.”

I nodded and started making my way back down the rock-covered mountain, this time on foot. I never questioned how the leader always knew exactly what I had taken... It was just natural to me that it was known.

Now, where haven’t I eaten for a while... Hook and Sink seems like a good go...

I headed off to the gate, speeding it up a bit so I could eat faster. Loiria seemed a bit busy this morning, but then it usually was and I paid it no heed. Heading towards Hook and Sink, I went into thought. Maybe I should try out the Catacombs again... I have improved, and I’m sure that if the treasure’s half of what the rumors are I’ll be just itching to get it for myself. And if word travels quickly then anyone with a decent admiration of treasure will want it... So if I wait I may miss my- “OH!”

I stopped short as I bumped into someone; my hand quickly shooting in and out of my pocket to make sure the coin was still there. It was, good. With that cleared, I turned to see who I had collided with. It was a beast character, female, about my height, probably some species of dog. “Oh, I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying attention...”

She stared at me for a second, and then seemed to come back to (virtual) reality herself. “Oh, no, sorry, it was my fault. I was just talking to Snow here about something...” She motioned to the girl standing beside her, about a foot shorter than us, who was glaring at me suspiciously. OK, hold the phone, I’ve never seen this girl before, right? Right, so I never stole anything off of her... I think... what was up with her?

Imani

“Imani, what did I do?” Snow asked me as we left the restaurant.

“You called that other character a stupid monkey,” I grumbled.

She put on what had to be the most convincing pair of puppy dog eyes. “No, I didn’t.”

I sighed. “Snow, you practically shouted out ‘baka saru’ in that place, so don’t tell me you didn’t.” I stopped for a minute. “Okay, important piece of online game etiquette: if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. Got that?”

She smiled at me. “I’ll try. That Beast was still a baka saru.”

I groaned. This kid would make an excellent Rogue. I went back to walking toward the portal when I bumped into somebody. It was a Demon! He was around my size and wearing an orange jacket. Two bat wings stuck out of his back. He felt his pockets and turned around to look at me.

“Oh, I’m sorry, I wasn’t paying attention…” he said.

Oh boy, what’s a Demon doing here at this time of day? Not that I didn’t like Demons, but they usually were part of the worst classes in PO. But one thing someone must remember when playing this game is to not judge someone by their race. Besides, when I first started, a lot of people thought I was a thief! That’s what you get from being a fox.

I realized that I was staring at them and quickly snapped out of it. “Oh, no, sorry, it was my fault. I was just talking to Snow here about something...” I looked down at Snow, who was behind me glaring at the Demon with hate. Is there anyone she does like? I have to get her out of here before she says something to get me in a fight. Before I could do anything, Snow kicked the demon and went back to hiding behind my leg. “Snow! What did I say about online game etiquette?”

“I didn’t say anything!” she said to me. I took her arm and started to lead her toward the portal. “Hey Imani, look at what I got.” She opened her free hand and showed me a coin. It was probably enough to feed me for two days.

“Where did you get that?” I remembered when she told me that she wanted to be a thief. “Snow, who did you steal that from?” I was already afraid of the answer.

“The Demon.” She gave me the coin.

Oh man, I’m dead! I ran back to the Demon and handed him the coin. “I’m really sorry.” I prayed that he wouldn’t do anything rash. I’m no good against Demons.

[Hourglass - Fortune Telling Addict]
---------------
Ten had showed me around the Guild, and I planned to leave Reeve, perhaps go buy some jewlery...

However, I always seem to bump into people.

It was that same young man from the portal. I blinked, and he looked behind him, as if someone had been chasing him.

"Uh...hi?" He tried. I smiled.
"Oh, hello again. You've been running?" His breath was short and gasping, and he nodded.
"Damn hacking Player Killers." I blinked at this, and he looked behind him again. He looked as though he was ready to take off at any second.
"Why are PKs after you?"
"Eh, I'm a PK myself. Except I kill them."

Wow, this guy was confusing. He killed player killers? Well, I guess it's better than just being a player killer. Gah, I'm confusing myself.

"Aren't you contradicting yourself?" I asked, looking up at him.
"I suppose." Even though the danger seemed to have died down, his twirled the sword in his hand.

More people were around now, so the crowd must be giving him a decent cover. Though, this didn't seem to calm his nerves.

"What's your name?" I was blunt. He turned back to me.
"Arkon." Hm, that seems familiar. Arkon, Arkon...
"I'm Hourglass." He nodded, as if automatically memorizing it.

Oh! Yes, that's it. Arkon. The Player Killer Killer I heard about.

I probably shouldn't be hanging around such characters. But, this guy didn't seem so bad...

Alrighty then, I'll try to get this going. Also, you must forgive me if I say something wrong about the locations of cities in relation to mountains. I'm color-deficient, so the color for Plains and Mountains looks the same to me. Other than that, the map is fine for me **Shrugs**

Idimmu Marduk
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"It's good to see you again, Kai. The Guild has been rather stagnant without your meddling objects passing through the hands of my Apprentices," I said good-naturedly. Kai laughed as he waved for us to take a seat with him. I sat down in the creaking whicker chair, and barely heard Kai and Evandelle do the same, their inborn Elvish grace easing their slim frames down onto the shoddy furniture. It wasn't hard, though, despite her grace, to notice that Evandelle was nervous. "You should try to calm yourself, Miss Evandelle. I'm sure you think you are in dangerous company but I assure you neither of us will bring you harm," I said assuringly. I could see her breath a slight sigh of relief at my words. "Now then, Kai, what have you to offer?"
"Well, my friend, I have something to offer you--but first, I am in need of your services," he said humbly. I knew that this man asked for very little, and would only ask if he was unable to obtain something himself or he was in some kind of trouble.
"What services of mine could you possibly need?" I asked, smiling and glancing over to Evandelle.
"Well, I need the services of both you and the girl there," he said, waving vaguely in her direction. She looked rather surprised at that. "You see, I am in need of a certain item. Now, this item is going to be in the brig of a black ship with the name 'Shadow Crest' that is going to be anchoring at Loiria tonight," he explained.
"What of Evandelle?"
"This...item, is in a box gaurded with runes, and anyone who tries to open the box is confronted by an evil being. I do not know the nature of the creature, only that it is powerful, and you must have either a Shaman or a Spiritualist in order to contain or banish it. That is why I needed the girl, and I need you to protect her and the item once you obtain it," he said, sighing.
"Seems like a large order, Kai. I'm sure Eva has enough power to do it, but I can't imagine she'd be in too good of shape, and my Shamanistic powers are more for enhancing my Necromancy. What good am I?"
He smiled wide. "Why, to protect your lover, of course," he said, evily. Eva drew in a breath, as if to protest, but I beat her to it.
"And where did you come up with that brilliant plan!?" I demanded, my eyes begining to glow red and Evandelle recoiled in her chair. I took a breath and blinked a few times. "Who would believe that one? We have two almost totally opposite auras. She's the embodiment of good and even if I wasn't the leader of Death's Toll, I'd still be the embodiment of evil."
"I'm sorry, Idimmu, but you have to have some kind of cover. You need to have a reason for being there, because the ship's crew isn't exactly the most wholesome bunch. Their ship is swift, and will take you wherever you want to go, but you must have a reason--if two lovers were to request swift passage to Ilis to be married, they would take you aboard with no further questions. I realize that you could rip them all to bits, my friend, but that wouldn't be advisable."
"No, it wouldn't," I said, sighing. "But I think we're going to go under a different allaby--I'm her bodyguard. It's more believeable," I sighed again. "Well, we've left Evandelle out of the discussion thus far, and it won't exactly work without her," I said, turning to face her. "Will you come along? I shouldn't expect it to take more than a day or two."
~~~
"Heh, So, I guess I should be going" I said as I turned the other way. Problem was, that a saw the Player Killers Heading this way.

"...I should be going this way. And if you have any common Sense you would stay away from me." I said as I ran of the other way, The Player Killers Following me, and to my surprise, The Girl was following me, too.

"Stupid Girl." I said as I started Running as Fast as I could. Suddenly, one of the guys appeared in front of me and punched in the face. I fell, and Quickly dodged the Blade of a sword. A bunch of Fortune Tellers started Trying to Break up the fight, but they all flew back and landed face first.

"We put a Barrier around this area, so no one but us can get in!" On of the guys said.
"Now, on to you!" One of the guys appeared with Hourglass in his arms. She started Crying out for help.

"Let her go! She isn't in this." I yelled.

"Actually, she is. We know you can't attack innicent people. There fore, unless you want us to Kill, And I Mean Kill, This Girl, Then you better put the sword down and back away!" One guy, Appearently the Leader, said. I relunctently put my Sword down and backed away.

' This is why I don't get in relationships. ' I thought to myself.

"Good! Now, Fansworth, Kill him!" He Said to some guy next to him. Fansworth pinned me against a wall, and held a sword against my throught.

' Ya see, This is why I don't like this game. This is gonna hurt. ' I thought to myself as I shut my eyes............

Evandelle [Me? A lover??]
======

"What services of mine could you possibly need?" Idimmu asked, looking over to me with a smile. I kept a rather blank expression while I listened to the two of them talk.

"Well, I need the services of both you and the girl there," he said, waving vaguely in my direction. I quickly looked at the exhiled elf in surprise, a look upon my face that questioned "Me?".

"You see, I am in need of a certain item. Now, this item is going to be in the brig of a black ship with the name 'Shadow Crest' that is going to be anchoring at Loiria tonight," Kai explained.

"What of Evandelle?" the demon asked, looking back towards me. I was thinking the same thing... What of me?

"This...item, is in a box gaurded with runes, and anyone who tries to open the box is confronted by an evil being. I do not know the nature of the creature, only that it is powerful, and you must have either a Shaman or a Spiritualist in order to contain or banish it. "Seems like a large order, Kai. I'm sure Eva has enough power to do it, but I can't imagine she'd be in too good of shape, and my Shamanistic powers are more for enhancing my Necromancy. What good am I?"

A wide smile grew on Kai's lips after Idimmu's question. "Why, to protect your lover, of course," he said, evily. I quickly took in a intake of breath, about to elegantly speak out my protest but the demon boy beat me to it.

"And where did you come up with that brilliant plan!?" he demanded, while I recoiled within my chair.

"Who would believe that one? We have two almost totally opposite auras. She's the embodiment of good and even if I wasn't the leader of Death's Toll, I'd still be the embodiment of evil."

"I'm sorry, Idimmu, but you have to have some kind of cover. You need to have a reason for being there, because the ship's crew isn't exactly the most wholesome bunch. "No, it wouldn't," Idimmu said with a sigh. "But I think we're going to go under a different allaby--I'm her bodyguard. It's more believeable,"

"Well, we've left Evandelle out of the discussion thus far, and it won't exactly work without her," the demon said, turning to face me. "Will you come along? I shouldn't expect it to take more than a day or two."

I shut my eyes, my long lashes gently brushing against my cheeks.

"You stated before of our aura's being of different kinds. I don't think the bodygaurd will go over too well either if one of the sailors are able to read them. Why would someone of 'ill nature' be a bodygaurd of someone who isn't? The marriage idea I believe would go over better, playing upon the role of the good girl falling for the bad boy, no?" I glanced between the two, my voice slipping out like silk, even though inside I still felt rather unsure of this event.

"However, I don't see what this item has to do with me or what I will get out of this. I may be a simple spiritualist who does some work for free, but this isn't exactly banishing monsters from your home. What do you want this item for exactly?" I questioned, getting serious and heading more towards the point. I wasn't about to do something so blindly.

I couldn't help but be struck speechless by the Elf girl's comment that the marriage idea was better, while Kai seemed evily pleased that she agreed with his plan. I sighed in defeat.

"Well, I plan to reward you both, though I intend to reward you, Evandelle, more than Idimmu, because we do business on a regular basis,"

"I also asked what the item is," she said calmly, her voice fluid.

"She's a shrewd businesswoman Kai, and I have things to be doing. Get on with it," I said.

"Well...the item is, uh hehe...it's a map that--"

"A MAP!? You called us here to get a map!?" I said angrily, my patience being sorely tried at the moment.

"If you'd let me finish! As I was saying, it is supposed to be a map with directions to the Reality Glitch!" he said the last few words quietly. My eyes widened.

"I suppose you plan to sell it after you get it then, eh?" I accused.

"Of course not! There are only three things I would do with an item such as that! One would be to give it to the Mages for safekeeping, another would be to destroy it..."

"And the last thing?" Eva asked.

"Why, to use it, of course," he said, smiling.

"Sometimes, Kai, I think you should have been a Demon," I said, jokingly. I sighed, "For the map to the Reality Glitch...I'm in."

Wow XD; I was thinking along the same lines in another RP that I'm in that's similar to this. Xian (he's in the other RP as well) owns a map that has the area of where the virus is. :D This makes so many possibilities because Xian's new "adventure" is to the Reality Glitch in this RP as well. Shibby how things work out o_o

Jing: Demon Thief (Rogue)

“I’m really sorry.”

I chuckled as she handed back my coin. That little girl, Snow, was a pretty good thief for someone who wasn’t completely out of their newbie stage just yet. She might become quite an expert with some help.

“It’s alright. I kinda deserved it for not paying attention. Have a nice day.” I smiled slightly at her. I had learned by now that a demon who smiles fully was taken like they were about to pull something. Yes, most were. So I never smiled much anymore.

I turned to leave, and was suddenly struck by a thought. “Hey... Your name’s Imani, right?”

She nodded slightly. She was shaking a little, I could tell. No, it wouldn’t work. She probably wouldn’t be of much help anyway. “Nevermind. It’s nothing. My name’s Jing.”

“OK...” There was a look of surprise on her face.

“See ya around.” With that, I turned and continued on my way to Hook and Sink. I was getting hungry by now.

~|~|~

Opening the door, a dull roar of people talking and chattering met my ears. I took a seat at a table and placed my order, then tuned in to the conversations around me. This was how I picked up a lot of tips and information. Some people just don’t know when they should keep their mouths shut, especially around a demon. We weren’t the ‘minions of hell’ for no reason.

“Yeah... I heard that the item’s gonna be on a ship tonight. Something like Black Crest or something...”

“Shadow Crest,” his friend corrected him. At this point, my curiosity had peaked.

“Right. So, what is this little ‘rare item’?”

“It’s a map to something. They say it leads to the Reality Glitch...”

Ok. Cancel my dinner plans. I got up before my meal arrived. I could snitch an apple again. I’d be need my little piece of gold to go on a little voyage...

Boy, I really should have listened to the rest of the conservation.

Sorry Hb! I've been meaning to post.

[Hourglass - Rough Crowd...]
--------------------
"Lemmie go!" I cried, trying to kick my captor. He just adjusted his grip on me. Ow! He's squishing my wings!

Arkon stared at me, and then his gaze darted down to the sword he had left on the ground.

Whoever our captors were, the man with the blade against Arkon's throat seemed to be dragging it out, making it as painful as possible.

Too risky! I shook my head.

But this was all my fault. If I hadn't followed him, Arkon could of just gotten rid of these freaks. I had to end up as the damsel in distress.

He looked at me again, and I smiled. He nodded in response.

"Hey, guess what?" He casually asked his assassin.
"What?" He hissed.
"This." He snapped his head forward, his forehead cracking against the other's. The man yelped, and then fell to the ground.

I jabbed my elbows backward, and the man grunted.

Arkon quickly grabbed his sword, and we were back to back, the remaining four guys waiting for us to strike. They probably wanted us to start a fight - it'd be easier for them to say they were provoked.

"You know any magic?" He asked.
"A little. I'm no magician, though." I sighed, and smiled weakly.
"Fine. We have to find the guy who's keeping this shield up," He scanned the group. "There. See him?"
I followed his eyes, and saw a man who was whispering some type of spell. I nodded.
"Alright. I'll distract these guys. You go after that one."
"But, but! I don't wanna kill him!"
"You don't have to. Just get him to stop casting that spell. Or knock him out."

Eh, the things I get myself into...
----------------------
Hope that's okay...

[Seraphim - Ze Hacker, non?]
---------------------
I closed my eyes, and held the staff above my head, as it glowed a fiery crimson.

Content that it was charged enough, I held it like a sword, and pointed it straight at the abdomen of the gigantic Ice Oni.

"Pyrus Blast...fire." I muttered, my voice monotone. A large fireball formed on the end of the staff, and when it was at it's peak of power, it shot at the Oni. My arms jolted back from recoil, but I held my ground.

The Oni screamed as the fireball made contact, and I smirked as it splintered into ice shards.

I walked past the fallen demon, but not before picking up a piece of the former Oni, and pocketing the icicle.

After navigating the labyrinth of ice tunnels and sneaking past a few more monsters, I reached a small treasure chest. I knelt down to open it, and sighed. It was only a chain necklace, with a very simple cross as a pendant, one with all even sides. I clenched the hand that was holding it, my nails digging into my palm. I stood up, and fastened the chain around my neck. It must do something, especially to be in this dungeon.

"Damn. Still nothing." I streched my wings to their full wingspan, and felt my muscles relax.

"Maverick, you're always mocking me, aren't you?" I laughed coldly. "I can feel it. The Reality Flaw...even I haven't been able to find it. Always just out of my reach. I'll find it, though. Just watch me."

Snow [Too bored for her own good]

“He’s not so bad. Not a lot of demons just come out and give you their name,” Imani commented as we watched Jing leave. “But how did he know my name? Oh well, this place is getting boring. I’ve got enough money to get our fortunes read; how about Reeve?”

Reeve!?! I wanted to go somewhere exciting! Oh well; go with the flow. I turned to head toward the portal when we bumped into someone else. A Dragon character with immense wings and a long, heavy tail. He was with two Human characters. “Excuse me,” I said through clenched teeth.

The Dragon picked me up by the collar of my shirt. “Look at the pretty puppy, guys! Won’t she make an adorable pet?”

Imani gasped as she looked up at the Dragon. “Hey, leave her alone!”

“You owe me some money, you little b*tch!” he yelled. “You left me in that dungeon to die yesterday! I’m Scythe, remember?” He shook me as he talked. Yeesh, what did he eat for breakfast? Decaying flesh? This guy looks familiar, though. I think he’s from the Hunters of the Midnight Sun.

“Well, you were cracking on me the whole way! Besides, I thought you could find the rest of the way through.” She stuck her tongue out.

“I think it’s time to show you who your master is.” He dropped me on the hard ground and reached for Imani.

Here’s a good opportunity. I grabbed a pouch that was hanging from the Scythe’s side while he was busy with Imani. Whoa! This guy’s loaded!

“Such a pretty dog! Come here and let me pet you!” Scythe sneered as he reached for Imani. Imani brought out her daggers and swiped at his hand, successfully slashing it. He looked down at his hand and growled. “You sure are spunky for a mutt.”

She kept out her daggers. “I’m a fennec fox, got that? I’m not some tamed dog.”

“A fox, huh? You sure look like one.” He brought out his sword. His immense, very sharp sword. It looked like we were going to have to fight today after all.

“Snow, run to the portal and teleport to a city. I don’t care which city; just teleport and I’ll IM you later, okay?”

I didn’t want to leave her, but I wasn’t going to be of much help. I hid the money that I stole from Scythe and headed for the portal, only to be blocked by the two Humans. “I forgot about you two,” I told them. “Imani, I can’t go anywhere!”

“Let’s go through them!” She dodged a swing from Scythe’s blade and jumped over him. I tackled the Human on the left, too pumped with adrenaline to consider taking anything from him. Imani slashed the other human and took my arm. We didn’t even go three steps before running into Jing. “We just keep running into each other, huh? Maybe we should meet up later! I would stick around, but the mob approaches!” She continued to the portal while I stayed for a second.

Maybe I should...ah, never mind. I ran to the portal where Imani was waiting for me.

"Let's go to Pembroke," she whispered in my ear.

Jing: Demon Thief (Rogue)

One word... huh?

OK, time to get myself fully awake and thinking. Imani says something about a mob and runs off, her little friend says something about trying anything, and now...

I jumped, narrowly avoiding the sword of this guy who now seemed to be pretty mad at me. Whatever did little old I ever do to him?

"Hey, punk, get out of my way! I have some business with your friend there!" Oh, ok, now it makes sense.

"My friend? Oh, no, I'm sorry, she's just someone I seem to be meeting up with over and over again. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some matters I wish to-"

One of the humans jumped in front of me and blocked my way. "You're not going anywhere! That girl owed me money and now she's gone, so you'll be paying me instead!" OK, he had a big temper and two obnoxious friends. That annoys me.

"Listen, pal, I don't care who owes you what for whatever reason. I owe you nothing, and I suggest your little friend here moves his sorry butt before it's forced out of my way." I glared hard at the character in front of me, and he seemed to give a small involutary twich. Being stared down by a demon isn't exactly the most enjoyable thing in the world.

The dragon laughed. "Kid, you're way out of your league! Have you ever heard of Scythe, from the Hunters of the Midnight Sun?"

"Scythe, huh...?" I pretended to think for a second. So this guy was a PK? This could be fun. "No, never heard of him. Why?"

Now he looked even more angry then before. Random helpful tidbit: get someone mad enough and most of their judgement goes right out the window. "I'M HIM! AND IF YOU DON'T HAND OVER THE MONEY ME AND MY FRIENDS WILL MAKE YOU HURT SO BAD THAT-"

He was cut off as the human standing in front of me suddenly fell to the ground, colors greying. I smirked at him, revealing my slightly-crimson-stained retractable blade. "Correction: you and your friend. This one seems to be having connection problems..."

It wasn't that I liked player killing. True, I had been killed a few times, most of them hurt like hell. If I ever had to kill, I always tried to make it as quick and painless as possible. Of course, "painless" and "kill" don't go well together.

"YOU LITTLE...!" The dragon charged at me, swinging his blade. Funny, it didn't look that big before...

I dodged just in time, jumping into the air a few feet out of his range. My black wings opened and held me in the air for a second. "You're strong... and quite fast for a dragon, I might add..."

I dropped to the ground and sprung sideways, evading a downward slash from Scythe. "Too bad I'm much faster."

He continued attacking me over and over, never getting more than my dust. For a PK, this guy sure was a pushover. No wonder I'd never heard of him. PKers were usually a decent challenge when I was ever stupid, bored, or not paying attention enough to land myself in a fight with one. But this guy was just...

I snapped back to reality as pain shot through my back. Damn, I forgot about the other one! Apparently the human wasn't just for cornering and show, he had quite a decent offense. His stealth was also quite good, or I had just forgotten about him too much. As I went sliding on the ground (ouch ouch ouch) I realized my direction. I was headed straight for Scythe, who had already prepared a downward slash. Crud, and I couldn't move in time from this position. That left one option...

The sword came crashing down and suddenly hit something. There was an explosion and Scythe's blade was blown back upwards a bit. Using this, I quickly recovered my bearings and moved away from the two of them enough to be able to see both. "What the heck was that?!" the human shouted, completely taken by surprise. My bet was that Scythe would have asked the same thing, if he had found the voice to speak.

I moved my hands close together, and a red ball of energy appeared between them. Suddenly it burst into flames. "Fireballs. My magic specialty. Explode on contact, quite useful in situations like that one."

The dragon quickly snapped back and charged at me. Geeze, he was stupid. I tossed the fireball towards hit feet, hitting the ground and causing quite a dust cloud. "I'd rather talk more, but I've got places to go!"

Both looked at me in surprise, then suddenly the human realized he was no longer blocking my way to the portal. "AH CRUD!"

I made a dash for it. The last thing I heard was "YOU IDIOT! HOW COULD..." before I disappeared to Yulan. I wonder if anyone needs an odd job or two done while I pass the time...

NAME: Arenna Cyrix

NICKNAME(S): Ren (to her most trusted allies), Noir (French for black) (to most everyone else)

GENDER: Female

AGE: 26

HEIGHT: 5'10"

RACE: Demon

CLASS: Dark Knight

POSITION: Ordinary Player

DESCRIPTION: Arenna's hair is fiery red, flowing past her waist to end around the middle of her calves. She normally wears it loose, only braiding/pulling it up when she dons her helmet. Her eyes are twin whirlpools of startling crimson, always threatening to pull in anyone who meets her gaze. Her skin is deathly pale, almost a perfectly glowing alabaster, made all the more noticeable by her hair and eyes. Her fangs are around average size for her race, long enough to discern from regular teeth, but not long enough to protrude from her mouth. Her wings are standard bat-style, black on the outer side, red on the inner side, with a wingspan of a respectable 8 feet. Her body is lean and toned, but womanly, with lush curves and a full bosom. Her voice is rich, velvety, and seductive.

She wears custom-designed black metal full platemail, with dark runes and designs chased on the breastplate. The shoulders are twin roses in full-bloom, with a sharp metal spike protruding from each. Two slits in the back accomodate her wings. A full-style helmet, also of black metal, is usually worn with the armor, and a medium-sized shield, emblazoned with a crimson rose, also goes with it.

When not in armor, she generally wears black leather pants that end at her ankles, tucked into black leather boots, black leather finger-gloves with a crimson rose in full-bloom on the backs, and a sleeveless, corset-style top, showing a little more than a hint of cleavage. She also wears a good-sized, perfect crimson ruby on a golden chain around her neck, with tiny ruby studs in both ears.

Always around her waist, whether in armor or not, is a black leather belt with red accents, from which hangs a ruby-adorned black leather scabbard containing a mithril-bladed sword, the hilt made of black metal and set with rubies in the middle of both sides of the crosspiece, both ends of the crosspiece, and the pommel. The sword is called, simply, "Despair", and is one-handed in use.

BACKGROUND: A highly-experienced player. During her short time as a newbie, she was once one of the many targets of the Grey Ravens, a band of notorious player-killers and thieves. After having her hard work spoiled enough times, she snapped. Forming an alliance with other victims, they fought back, culminating in a battle royal in the Forest of Shadows. The battle was interrupted by a large group of monsters, forcing the warring parties to shelve their differences to take out the interlopers. By the time the last monster fell, the quarrel had ended, and the two groups parted as friends. Arenna later spent her time improving herself, gaining levels, learning the ways of her class, and gathering together a sizeable nest egg of treasure. Finally comfortable, she formed Ebony Blade to benefit others of her class.

Despite all the rumors, she's surprisingly friendly to newer players, and will point them to places appropriate for their level, sometimes even giving them an item or two to help when she's in a good mood. She condones PKers within the ranks of Ebony Blade, but does not encourage PKing, especially if it targets newer players. The only exception would be if the target is a Paladin.

Due to extreme disagreements with Askvali Rih's guildmaster, the two guilds are currently at war. This situation may change at any time.

Known haunts: Malith, Baharata, occasionally Pembroke. Known training spots: Forest of Shadows, Shadowlight Manor. Will occasionally lead or be a part of parties going into the Crystal Catacombs (for a good-sized percentage of any treasure gained, of course).

PERSONALITY: Seems like a true ice queen at first glance, cold and aloof. Once you get to know her, she becomes somewhat friendlier. Her experiences have made her rather jaded towards most of the world. She can sometimes change her mood at the drop of a hat. When she's in the mood, she can be a true seductress.

Most of the time, she's very calm and level-headed, able to think even in the heat of battle. However, she has a very hot temper, and everyone knows when she's angry. It takes her a while to cool down. She also doesn't trust or make friends very easily. She guards her emotions well.

To newbies, she's very friendly, and will point them in the right direction or refer them to someone who can.

ABILITIES: An excellent leader. There are few who can match or excel her skill with a sword. She's pretty good at persuading people to see things her way, negotiating, and/or haggling over some weapon or trinket she's taken a fancy to. She hasn't yet truly mastered the art of strategy, but is making headway.

GUILD: Guildmistress of Ebony Blade.

HOBBIES: Collecting weapons and treasure, fighting monsters, arguing with Askvali Rih's guildmaster, haggling with merchants for things, meeting new people (sometimes), socializing (with people of like mind), training, practicing new class skills, leading parties, and learning more about the world.

LIKES: Darkness, fellow Demons, magic, roses (black or blood-red), rubies, weaponry, new methods of torture, and treasure. Also a little fond of newbies.

DISLIKES: Paladins, those of the Angel race (they annoy her), chauvinists, PKing (except against Paladins), people who interrupt her training, and people who refuse to see things her way.

OTHER: Her opinion of Askvali Rih's guildmaster sits between like and dislike, and can lean either way.

Stepping off the portal into Baharata, Arenna sighed and ran a gloved hand through her hair. She stretched, her wings unfurling to their full span.

"What a day."

She immediately headed for the nearest bar.

"Lady Arenna, what'll it be today?"

"Usual, please."

She waited a few minutes, then picked up the full glass of red Elven wine that had been placed on the bar in front of her. Slapping a few coins down as payment, she secured a table in a corner, watching the other patrons while sipping her drink.

Short post, I know, but I really didn't have any ideas on what exactly to post :)

I know that nobody's posted for weeks.. but I'd wanted to join. I hope it doesn't die, but if it does, is it going to start again? ^^; I'd had two characters I'd wanted to use, too, and I don't want them to just rot in disuse.. heh. ^_^
