DQ of one week, I'm on a lot...
You choose, I attack
3 pokemon are allowed, one at a time.

Setting is in the forest, near the battle ground of ddr barbiko and muffin man, where pidgy sit in near by trees. Disturb them and you might have 2% or even a rare occasion of 5% if you disturb a Pidgeot.

Ref + Opponent needed

GL is reffing, I accept your challenge. Go! Diamond Weapon the Baltoy!
Watch out for this guy Baltoy, he can change his type to yours, so lets use that as an advantage. First use Sandstorm, Then Psybeam, and finally, Rock Tomb!

RaZoR LeAf
12th January 2004, 01:14 PM
Ok PX, Dark Phoenix is right, we can change our type to suit the battle, so begin with a Conversion to protect yourself against that Sandstorm by stealing your enemies primary type.

Now, this Sandstorm is going to be thick and heavy and lower your accuracy no doubt. Seeing as it's not going to bother you after you're conversion, lets use it to our advantage and perform a Lock-On to identify your target through the sands.

Finally, unleash an Ice beam at your enemy, you can't miss.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pre-battle:
The setting is cast out, an opening in a forest. Close by other battlers are lashing out their orders and pokemon are fainting everywhere. An audience of pidgey and pidgeotto gather as two more trainers step forward glaring at each other. The first is none other then Razor Leaf, a well known battler and combatant. The second is Dark Pheonix, the challenger, and a newcomer who wishes to make an impressive first couple of victories. Both trainers grab their pokeballs and send them flying. The first pokeball, Razor Leaf's, opens up to reveal and smooth, but sharp Porygon2 by the name of PX. Dark Pheonix's pokeball opens up to reveal a cute but brute Baltoy. Both trainers take a deep breath and bestow their commands.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Round 1:

DW begins the round by twirling rapidly, kicking up a large mass of sand, creating a large sandstorm. This annoys the pidgey around greatly, they glare at baltoy, daring him to do that again! PX looks at his opponent and begins to glow. When the glowing fades, PX is now a new type of pokmon, DW's type of Ground. The sandstorm rages causing no damage to both, as they are of the ground types.

DW gathers his psychic energy and faces PX, launching a massive multi-color beam at his opponent. Just sitting there, PX gets hits with the attack causing fair damage. As it regains its composure, PX looks at his opponent and stares. DW feels a bit odd that all PX is doing is staring at him, but at the same time enjoys the attention. He fails to realize the little target sign that has now become PX's pupil and has locked on to it.The sandstorm yet again rages and some pidgey fly away to another area.

DW begins this final moveset by picking up some rather large stones and hurling them at his opponent, trying to bury it in a tomb of rocks. PX, having locked on to DW, now focuses his attention of the boulders and he sends an ice beam at them. Most are deflected and break instantly. Several are hit by the others and hit the ground, spraying a few pidgey with more sand. They charge at PX and begin to peck at him furiously. The sandstorm reaches a flurry and annoys the rest of the pidgey causing both of our combatants to be engulfed in bird pokemon, ouch!

That didn't go as wqell as it could have, but not to worry PX, we still have some good moves left to use. Begin with an Icy Wind, it should get rid of the Pidgey's too, they dislike the cold as much as being disturbed.

Now I want you to keep moving through the sandstorm so that DW has difficulty keeping you in shot, and use Defence Curl while you're in there.

Lastly, fire off a Swift to garuntee a hit. I have good things planned in the next round, so keep yourself fit this turn.

The second round of this intense battle rages on. Both combatants are still covered in flocks of Pidgey. PX begins the round by summoning a large burst of ice, in wind. The pidgeyscatter at the immense cold, several freeze and may now be used as projectiles,lol, though not with some risk of angering the pidgeot. PX looks for his opponent, but its nowhere to be seen as it has teleported behind him, shivering from the cold wind.

PX now begins to move around, trying to avoid the onlooking Baltoy. As he does this, a ball of energy forms around him and his defense raises a bit. DW thinks that it is now or never and fires a large beam of Ice at his opponentwhile launched, the Ice beam manages to hit the rear end of PX, causing minimal damage, but not slowing the Porygon2 down a bit.

PX feeling he needs a hit, stops from his constant movement and launches a flurry of stars at his opponent, a swift attack. Naturally, it hits and causes fair damage. Baltoy, noticing that PX has finally stopped moving launches a spew of purple toxins. Though some hardens because of the sand and falls to the ground like rocks, about a quarter of the liquid settles on top of the porygon2, poisening him slightly.

Again an unfortune turn of events, bit I feel that if we leave this plan too long, you'll be in a worse state to use it. So lets take the risk and attack now.

Begin with Agility so you can dodge any later atatcks, namely the Rock Tomb and Ice Beam. Now follow through with your signature move Conversion 3. This will leave Baltoy with a distinct disadvantage, one we can use to our own advantage by hitting it with a Thunder Wave.

Porygon2
Nickname: PX
Signature Move: Conversion 3
A beam of energy is fired at the enemy. Then, for the next 2 rounds, the enemy becomes another single type. The type is randomly chosen by the ref and can be any of the 17 official types. For the time the enemy is it's new type it takes on all the weakness and resistances of it's type. For example a Steelix that has lost it's steel type can become poisoned. After the two rounds, the pokemon returns to it's original types.

Move only affects a Pokemon once. 3 time max use, 3 round interval

Attacks:
DW-Earthquake~Rock Tomb~Ice Beam

PX-Agility~Conversion 3, Ice Beam

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The battle again begins as the 3rd set of attacks are delivered. PX, our friendly neighborhood Porygon2, gains a burst of speed and soon, his only view is that our the circle surrounding baltoy. DW looks at this and slams into the ground, causing a massive earthquake and tripping up PX.
PX, still with a little speed in his step after the shake-up, begins to fire a beam of energy which causes DW to change into.....*drumroll* a bug type pokemon, gaining all effects of this type. Our now re-typed bug grabs some rocks near by, but this is a forest, what rocks are there? He grabs several of the pidgeys and launch them at PX. They mostly hit PX, but more or less, they surround him.
PX now builds up the electrical energy inside of him and unleashes a couple of waves of electrical energy, paralyzing DW. DW, not yet paralyed enough, sends a blue beam of ice towards his opponent, but as there are pidgey surrounding him, the beam does little more then create an ice "prison" for PX. DW has other things to worry about as he hears a loud bird call coming this way!
Since your energy is starting to get low Diamond, I want you to try and take it easy, esp with you already being paralized. But since you are paralized, Facade on him, then use Harden, turn into as much rock as you can. Then try to relax as much as you can, not using the move rest. If you find you can't relax, use Ancient Power on the formation of ice pidgy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The 4th, but not last set of battle begins for these two competitors as they discern their commands. PX begins the round inside his prison of ice. He mentally forms an image in his head and, costing some of his life, forms a little porygon2 shaped figurine inside. DW looks at the ice, but cant see whats going on inside. He runs up to use a facade attack on PX, but as hes still inside, all he does is smack the ice, shaterring it, forming a little window to the insde.

PX now sets his virtual mind on another location outside the box(think taco bell, think outside the box,lol). He immediatly dissapears and reappears in that location, a little behind DW. DW is not at all concerned with this as his body begins to harden, steadily it increases in strength until at last the attack ends, and his defense is increased.

PX now, knowing how j=his previous attempt at thunder wave worked, tried again to get the full effect. From behind, he emmited electric waves of energy, all flying straight into DW, paralyzing him further. DW knows he cant do much, but now as he is paralyzed, he wont soon be able to relax, so he goes for an ancient power. However, as soon as he goes to attack, his worst fear comes to be, hes completely paralyzed and cannot move this round, rendering any attempt to attack useless.PX winces as the poisen saps his life.

The bird call is getting real close.

Keep it going Diamond, I know you can do it! Use Rain Dance, then Sandstorm, and finally Earthquake.

RaZoR LeAf
17th January 2004, 07:27 AM
Heh, looks like Dark Phoenix messed up PX, the rain will render the Sandstorm heavy and useless, so he's wasted a turn. Seeing as you used your sig move on your second turn, DW should still be a bug type for one last turn, so use Thunder to blast him one last time before he converts back to a Ground type.

Now, while he's wasting his time with the Sandstorm, how about a close range Ice Beam.

And lets finish off with a Protect against that Earthquake.

Subs:
If DW turns back to a Ground type at the start of the round, then forgoe using Thunder and use Ice Beam. The rest of your moves stay the same.

Dark Phoenix

That's the point of using rain dance before a sandstorm, you'll be weakened cause your a ground, and sandstorm can still pick up the heavyer dirt, dealing more damage then it normaly would. Don't count out my stratigy just yet ;-)

The next round of this hot battle rages on. DW, the little baltoy begins the round off still as the bug type. He begins to dance, moving this way and that, staring at the sky. Soon, it begins to rain, causing much discomfort to PX who is the ground type. PX retaliates by launching a massive streak of thunder into the sky, which strikes down on the wet bug type with deadly accuraccy!

Baltoy, after almost being fried in the previous set-up is now feeling the rains discomfort as he is back to the ground type. He begins to launch his next attack and soon realizes, he cant, hes parlyzed! The lightning had more effect than he thought! This is unfortunate however, as PX takes this oppurtune time to send a massive Ice Beam. It hits DW dead on and he screams in agony!

DW, after being hurt badly, is enraged at his opponent. He stomps down to create a massive earthquake. The earthquake heads straight for PX, but all it does is hit the Invisible Forcefield around him, a protect. DW is now vewry angry and very tired, but as he looks around, he sees a pidgeot coming towards him, and he remembers the loud bird call, and the flying ice pidgeys. Since DW is behind PX, however; the stars hit their sender, flinging him on top of DW.

PX now annoyed by his previous attempt, turns and looks dead into the eyes of his opponent and fire another set of stars, causing fair damage. Baltoy, whom thinks this is close enough, decides hell go out with a bang(no pun intended). Pre-battle:

DW has officially been knocked out so his trainer, Dark Pheonix, returns him and send out his new pokemon, a male Aron by the name of Chaos Weapon, or CW.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The battle commences with a fresh opponent on one side and a withered and tired PX on the other. The new Aron begins his first assualt by heading straight for PX with his head reared. He looks up to hit PX and is stopped in his tracks by PX's counter-attack, a Thunder Wave. CW is paralyzed, fully intaking the waves of electric current throughout his metal body, and what a better conductor of electricity. Stopped in his steps, his attacks does not collect.
PX begins the second setup by using his special attack, Conversion3. He fires a beam at his opponent and Arons type changes from steel to Fire! The new fire type runs up to his opponent and smacks him hard with a metal claw! PX drops to the ground, and slowly, slowly gets up, not yet done with this battle.
PX chooses to wait on his opponent to attack. CW takes the time to send out a pulse of water, which PX just teleports away from. PX pants as he knows his fainting is coming soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Prebattle:

Razor Leaf, realizing that his pokemon is too weak to continue, chooses to withdraw him. Congratulating him on a great job, RL returns his Porygon2. The ref exclaims PX is DQed from battle and a replacement is needed. Razor Leaf is already prebared for such an event as he sends his next poke-ball flying, and out pops a Croconaw by the strange name of Rhagfyr.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Actual Fight:
With a fresh new pokemon on both sides, excluding CW's paralysis, the eighth round of battling commences. CW begins the round by charging up the energy in his body and sending an electrical "wave" towards Rhagfyr. Rhagfyr intends on taking the hit, but with less damage. He begins to digs in the mud and sned it flying everywhere. The earthly mulch weakened the Energy heading to him. Unfortunately, the digging also left him open, leaving the wave to stike him on his "behind". The crocoonaw grabbed his rear in pain.
Once again, CW tries to send out a wave of energy, notice the try. Using the electrical wave inside his body increased his paralysis, stopping him for this turn. This is unfortunate for him, as Rhagfyr concentrates the rock-type energy into his fist, and smacks CW with all he's charged up with, ouch indeed.
CW, a bit frustrated with his previous attempts, launches a final wave of electricity. Rhag replies by sending a water gun, only a different form, one with a supersonic pulse within. The two attacks collide, and as they are good conductors of each other, the attacks continue, hitting both their targets with force. Both pokemon, weak to the attack types, squeal with pain, but its CW that takes the bigger brunt with a double weakness, when Rhag has his mud.
Round 9 begins as Rhagfyr sets for his first attack. He launches a beam of ice and water into the sky, creating a cool air and a moistened area. It bother Croconaw immensely, enfuriating him for the next set.
Rhag sends out a beam of Water at his opponent. As CW spins for his attack, he is hit, badly too. His attack sends out only 2 streaks, each hitting croconaw for less than minimal damage. CW falls to the ground, facing double weakness, yet as the set ends, new light approaches. Aron turns back to his original metal type.
CW trips over the foot and smacks face-first into the ground. Rhag smirks and laughs for having detecting his opponents attack.
CW gets up, not-amused by Rhagfyr's making a fool of him, he sends a shockwave in Rhag's direction. Rhagfyr, not wanting that much of a hit, bends over and begins to toss around more mud. As he does, he gets hit with the wave, but its only enough to cause him to wince in pain, obviously the mud is kicking into effect pretty well.
Still not amused, CW builds up a splurry of purple toxins in his mouth. He procedes to launch them at Rhagfyr, but by using an electric attack last turn, the paralysis returns and he is left with a bunch of toxins in his mouth. To make matters worse, he is then pummled by a sonic water-gun, releasing the toxins into the air. A short splatter manages to hit Rhagfyr, barely poisening him.
Round 11, a long way through this fight, makes its approach. The trainers issue their orders and the pokemon set off. Rhagfyr will start this round. He seems intent to knock his opponent out this turn, so he launches spurts of water from all possible exits in his body,:no:ouch! They are all aimed directly towards the little aron. Before the water can reach him, CW mocks Rhag by giving him a little wave:wave: and goes underground, completely avoiding the attack.:o.
Rhagfyr decides he will launch yet another hydro pump. He once again sends water out, but as there is no target, there is no damage, except to rhagfyr who is immediatly hit from under by Aron, who is attacking him with a dig. He falls to the ground, and almost immediatly gets up, rather PO'ed.
Rhag, angered by his last action and by his embarassing hit, sends out one final blast of water. This time, CW decides to take the brunt and gets hit by most, but as we all know, hydro pump isnt the most accurate move, so several shots go to his other sides. However, it is enough to make our croconaw pleased:yes:.
CW gets up from being hit and runs at Rhag. He slowens to a jog as he is almost out of energy, but as he reaches him, he lands a little smack, doing absolutely no damage as our little Aron finally falls to the ground, cured of paralysis, but it seems much ado about nothing.Rhag takes the time to gloat, but he also winces from pain as the toxic starts to kick in.
Round 12:
Rhagfyr begins the round of by focusing all his energy into his arm. He runs towards LS. LS decides to inflict him with a status condition as he lets out some paralyzing electro-magnetic waves. Rhagfyr loses his focus and stops his attack.
Rhagfyr, depresed by his last attack, once again focuses all his energy into his arm and this time he hits fulls on, cause LS decides to ensure his next hit by completely locking on to him. LS flies back, and regains his balance.
LS wants to finish this guy off so he lets out a massive bolt into the sky, causing a thunderstorm and making a bolt of lightning hit Rhagfyr. Rhag, however, was glowing white and has endured the attack.
Geez you guys gave me an easy reffing round, and on the 13th:o
Round 13:
Round 13, luck for some, bad for others, has finally reached us. Rhagfyr begins the round by launching a truck-load of dirt/mud at his opponent. LS, following his trainers sub-orders, uses a protect, causing the mud to just bounce off the invisible shield. Rhagfyr again launches more mud at his opponent. LS, once again under orders, lets out another protect. This one lasts for less time, but enough as the mud again bounces off. Rhag tries one last time and launches even more mud. The protect this time is weak, and eventually breaks down, causing magnemite to not only be fatiqued, but hit by mud! :no:
Round 14:
After receiving their trainers orders, the two weakened pokemon fire off. Rhagfyr, almost out for the count fires off a massive beam of ice. LS, not one who wishes to faint this round forms a solid invisible wall. The ice beam bounces off the wall, relieving ome of its energy, and fies back. It ends up shooting towards a tree, freezing it and causing it to crash into the ground.
Rhagfyr, almost out of it, fires one last ice beam towards LS, who, in turn, produces yet a second wall, reversing the ice beam back at another tree.
Rhagfyr, weak and tired, drops from exhaustion. The ref declares RHagfyr unable to continue.
How did I know he was gunna use a fire type...
LooseScrew - Rain Dance to weaken him - T-wave to paralize him and finally use Screech
That's a hell of alot of commands for a pokemon to remember Haf, lets try and confuse him shall we?
Ignore everything that's going on elsewhere. You're fresh and healthy the rain shouldn't bother you much, if at all, so begin with a Swagger.
Next, should you find yourself being hit by a Thunder Wave, grin and bare in and use Sunny Day to brighten things up again.
Lastly, should you have been hit by the attack last round, use Smelling Salt to rid yourself of the ailment.
--
If Loose Screw fails to pull off that Thunder Wave, continue with the Sunny Day and end the round with Double Kick
Round 15 kicks off as the knocked out Rhagfyr gets withdrawn, bringing in a new combatant, a Combusken(much to the opponents surprise and dismay) by the name of Haf(what does this one mean?). LS, not liking his new opponent, tries to weaken him by doing a little mid-air jig, causing a rain-storm to come. Haf, not caring much for the rain, but not disturbed by it either, decides he is going to taunt the magnemite. Picture a combusken dancing around like mad waving numerous body parts at Magnemite.
The enraged magnemite is so enfuriated, he ignores his trainers command and heads off to smack Haf. He hits the giant bird and knocks him over, making him much more content, but still steaming from his hot-head evaporating the water. Haf gets up, rather pleased with himself, and sends a beam of energy into the sky, causing the sun to come out, cancelling any weather effects.
The PO'ed magnemite enters its final attack stage as it lets loose a loud pitched screech. Combusken covers his ears in pain. As it releases, it heads towards Magnemite and kicks it a couple of times, not only hurting our metal friend, but denting him as well. The already inraged Magnemite is now red hot in anger.
Top dog Haf, lets keep this up.
If Loose Screw tries to paralyse you, use Smelling Salt to snap out of it.
Round 16, long awaited, has come at last as both Pokemon set off to end this. Haf begins the round by launching a massive burst of flame at his opponent. LS sets up another invisible wall. The flame hits and half bounces back. The other half, preceeds to the other remaining wall, flipping half of it back in return, so our magnemite firend gets hit with literally ¼ of the original damage. The second wall shatters though, leaving only one remaining. Magnemite singes as his metal slowly begins to cool.
Haf then starts to increase his power, and by the looks of it size, as he concentrates deep within. Magnemite launches himself at Haf in frustration, causing major damage in his rage.
Haf, after increasing his apparent size, runs at LS and begins to kick. LS, not wanting to be hit, sends out a mighty flash to obscure his opponents, but onfortunatly, he is still hit. He falls to the ground in fatigue. The ref declares Magnemite finished, and the battle over.
Ah good game Dark Phoenix, I hope in the future we can battle again with fully evolved pokemon. And also thanks for your quick reffings Green Lanturn.
I'll claim my 2 yen winning and also evolve Haf into a Blaziken.
Oh, and seeing as I didn't mention it, Haf is Welsh for Summer. Croconaw was supposed to be WInter, but the word was rubbish, so I went for December instead. I have a Venusaur named after Autumn you see, and 3 starters = 3 Seasons.
