Can Volbeat Be Caught In Pokemon Ruby?

I can find them in Sapphire, now im not sure whether they are rare in Pokemon Ruby or just not available... If i can't catch one i shall have to change my team around a little.

I'd appreciate any help you can give me.

You could always just breed one from illumise like I did ;)

Yeah, it's just rare in Ruby. In Ruby Illumise is found more often than Volbeat and in Sapphire it's visa versa.
