Before you decide to post a topic asking how something in a game is done, it would be prudent to see if the answer is available at GameFAQs (http://www.gamefaqs.com), first. Failing that, a cursory search of Google (http://www.google.com) would be useful, and then questioning us would be seen as a fine series of events.

I think it would be acceptable if you had a more personal question to a game, since walkthroughs and the like only cover the game in general, rarely going into much detail. For example:

Walkthrough: To get the magic fish, you have to cross the bridge.

But your question is how do you cross the bridge? That was a pretty bad example but I'm just saying that if you ever needed to ask a question like that, I guess it would be acceptable.

The purpose of the topic was just to help eliminate the annoying "go to gamefaqs", or copy/pasted gamefaqs answers which have been happening a lot the entire time VG has existed, but have somehow decreased in amount recently.
