Time for a new version...

For those who don't know, this game is like Mastermind, except with words and a given number of letters. One guess at a time before the person with the word posts.

ILikePokemon;P: 7
Lady Vulpix: 64
Zak: 57
Whiteangel: 1
Gamewizard007: 1
HanyouPrincess: 1
Jay: 26
JamieC: 1
Citrus Crush Chikorita: 3

Icy: 2
Avian Freeze: 15
Cyndaquil: 12
Cheesey: 1
Hexae: 2
Titandude21: 2
Aipom Of Doom: 2

Okay, Gabi (Lady Vulpix) got the last word, so its her turn and she told me she is doing a 7 letter word. So guess away.

In that case, we'll try "turners".

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
16th February 2004, 03:02 PM
Ok, I'll let it pass, though I'm not sure I should.

myuutsu: 4 right, 1 misplaced, 2 wrong.

Zak
16th February 2004, 03:40 PM
Well, IMO names of anything should be allowed, the limit being as long as it isn't a word you made up, or at least is a word that SOME people have heard of. People have guessed people names, and Pokemon names, and place names, and other proper nouns. I wouldn't reccomend using it as THE word, but its not really that bad. But for guesses, their perfectly acceptable... so I guess they can be acceptable for THE word. Preferrably not, though... but if you're confident, go ahead.

Jujutsu is my next guess.

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
16th February 2004, 03:55 PM
Alright, Zak. As long as it doesn't get out of control (anyone can make up a word and claim someone has heard it, even more so with words in other languages).

And yes, that's the word. *Hands Zak a Jujutsu Plushie.* Congratulations!

Zak
20th February 2004, 03:54 PM
Okay, 9 letters this time.

~Zak

dark_tyranitar
20th February 2004, 04:26 PM

This game is exempt from the 5 posts per day rule, right?

Anyway, how about "Tyranitar"

Lady Vulpix
20th February 2004, 04:58 PM
And I'll try payphones to start.

Zak
20th February 2004, 05:01 PM
Yes, it is... but please don't use that to your advantage by making random Pokemon guesses. The reason it was exempt was because it involves thinking, and the last thing we need is someone who will abuse that. So I hope you're guessing that as a way to help, rather than just for postcount.

Tyranitar: 0-2-7

Payphones: 1-3-5

EDIT: Missed Gabi's post, closest guess so far.

~Zak

dark_tyranitar
20th February 2004, 05:10 PM
They were random guesses, I agree, but I was trying to get some information out of them. My guess is "artifacts". Sorry if I'm being a complete moron.

Zak
20th February 2004, 05:47 PM
Okay, no problem. Although I can't really have proof of that 'till at least about 7 guesses are made, where there would be enough information to think and do deduction rather than guess random words. But since its the beginning, I'll let it slide. Heck, random guesses could even be good at the beginning at times, since they are likely to bring clues :). But once we're deep into a round, I'd prefer if some thought was put into the guesses.

Lady Vulpix
11th May 2004, 10:12 AM
Something doesn't seem to fit...
I'll try potemkin.

Zak
12th May 2004, 02:02 PM
Scramble: 0-3-5

Potemkin: 1-5-2 NICE!!

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
12th May 2004, 04:05 PM
Ok, I'll try afikomen, though I don't know what it is. I found it on the web.

Zak
12th May 2004, 04:45 PM
Yep, thats it. After all that time, all that hard work has paid off, so the afikomen is yours. :)

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
12th May 2004, 07:20 PM
Yay! I've found the afikomen!
And thanks, Zak, for telling me what it is. XD I'm sorry, my family hardly keeps any traditions.

Ok, my new word has 7 letters and has been used by other people on this forum, so I trust it won't take as long as the last one did.

Giving hints now are we?

Expedia

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
12th May 2004, 08:02 PM
It wasn't meant to be a hint. Except maybe a hint for people to post words others may know. I never said it was a PCG-related word (which it may or may not be). I said I've seen others use it, which means I'm not the only one who knows it.

expedia: 2 misplaced, 5 wrong.

Zak
12th May 2004, 08:29 PM
Yeah, but it's still a hint, now I know that it's in one of the 26719 posts on this forum! ;)

Lexical

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
12th May 2004, 08:32 PM
I had a feeling you'd try that one. I remember giving you a hint that time because I was leaving for a while and no one would get it otherwise. But I won't do it again any time soon.

lexical: 1 right, 2 misplaced, 4 wrong.

Zak
12th May 2004, 08:39 PM
Yeah, I understand, that was fair. And hey look XD we're having two conversations at once. How about that.

Android

~Zak

Lady Vulpix
13th May 2004, 06:36 AM
Not bad, but I'd rather someone else played too. It gets boring when only 1 person's guessing.

android: 1 right, 1 misplaced, 5 wrong.

Zak
13th May 2004, 08:57 AM
True, I'll let other people play. But since I'm posting to tell you this, I might as well give a word. However, this will be the last of my consecutive guesses. Doesn't mean I will stop participating in this round though :)

~ZakDo you realize you didn't post a guess?
But yes, I'm wondering the same... Where's everyone? Please come and play, people! It gets boring when only 1 person's guessing.

Zak
3rd June 2004, 10:34 AM
Holy crap, how did I forget? O_O

And I don's know what zizzle meant, but I saw it on the web (http://www.minnesotaagconnection.com/story-state.cfm?Id=532&yr=2004), so I thought it had to mean something.
