Well, I figure that if people can get away with polls about going to bed, I can get away with this one.

1) What country do you live in?

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?

3) What subjects are you taking?

4) Subjects you like?

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?

6) Stupid quirks in your education system?

7) Any plans for the future?

:yes::yes::yes:Randomness:yes::yes::yes:

8) What came first, the Town Hall or the Peon? (due to popular demand, I'll define what these are: a 'town hall' is the building that produces your worker units (peons) in real-time strategy games. 'Peons' are the worker units that produce buildings, including the town hall.)

1) Canada

2) Grade 12

3) English AP, Math 12, History 12, Physics 12, Chemistry 12, Information Technology 12, Drafting 11 for arts credit O_o

4) Er… Infotech, English, and History

5) Physics… that course is 3v1L

6) Yes… Everybody has to do 30 hrs of community service to graduate.

7) Comp Science Degree

8) Town Hall! Rawr!

1) What country do you live in?
Ireland

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?
I'm 17, in my 6th year of secondary school. Only one more year of it to go and then hopefully I'm off to Uni.

3) What subjects are you taking?
Spanish, Art and Geography

4) Subjects you like?
All of them, I chose which subjects I wanted to study (for the next two years) at the start of the school year back in September. ^^

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?
I don't despise any of them but I have days when I get ticked off with Art and Geography because you've to put a lot of effort into them both, esp. Art

6) Stupid quirks in your education system?
It's okay to use exams as a method of testing someone but when you do two years work and then they squeeze that work into one exam paper, it's a bit unfair. They should test you gradually throughout your course. Just my thoughts.

7) Any plans for the future?
Get my A-Levels, go to Uni for 4 years and then become a teacher. If I don't like that, I'll do something else but I want to be a teacher. I also want a nice place of my own and to travel a lot.

Randomness

What came first, the Town Hall or the Peon?
Phone a friend? Alternatively...tell me what a peon is and I'll try to answer. =/

Randomness

What came first, the Town Hall or the Peon?
It depends on whether chronology is trilinear or quadrangular in its dimensional shift. Actually, I'd like to know what a peon is, first.

Depends on the game and the map. Typically, the Town Hall and Peons exist at the beginning of the map, but occasionally, you only have Peons and rarely you only have a Town Hall (and a lot of money).

What came first, the Town Hall or the Peon?

Town Hall, since you start off with peasents when you have a Town Hall. Not peons.

EDIT: ...and just so this post will have some point to it...

1) USA.

2) 10th grade.

3) All the stuff sophomores are required to take.

4) Math is alright because I'm good at it, biology is bearable because it's pretty much a guaranteed A if you show up to class.

5) English. Can't we ever read a good book?

6) You're required to have a year of fine arts to graduate but no practical arts whatsoever. I find it funny how you're required to learn what you will probably never use, but not skills that actually may be put to use sometime in your life.

7) Law degree, wife, children, etc.

1) USA
2) 9th Grade
3) The usual Math, Tech, Bio, Lit, Foreign Language, ect. then some electives and Programming + Networks

4) Programming's fun and easy, the rest of the classes are cool too

5) All my classes are great, I don't hate any of them ^_^

6) 8-4:30 classes, free time during the day, allowed to sit in the hallways when u don't have class, I think that qualifies as weird.

7) Nothing much, 150k+ salary, maybe 100k when I start out, something like that. Other than that, wife, kids, nice simple happy life. If I don't make the NBA that is :)

1) USA

2) 11th grade so one more year of high school before I go out on my own. I'm scared ****less actually O-o

3) Chemistry, Honors Modern History, Ceramics, English 11, Advanced Mathematics, Spanish IV, Sociology (first semester), Stress Reduction (second semester)

4) History and Ceramics. Sociology was my favorite when I took it though

5) I don't despise any class but Chemistry and Advanced Math is pretty tough

6) When our school was renovated, the people went overbudget and had to take away things such as late school bus and Mythology, which I've wanted to take for a long time

7) Go to college, get a good job and hopefully settle down at around 30

1) What country do you live in?
United States.

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?
I'm a junior in high school. One more year. :>

3) What subjects are you taking?
I'm taking Pre-Calculus, Physics, English Honors, US History Honors, and my last year of Spanish. My elective this term is Desktop Publishing.

4) Subjects you like?
Desktop Publishing, because all we've been doing so far is BS'ing on the interent. :D

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?
I hate Physics and Pre-Cal. I actually don't have to take either of them, but if I want to go to a decent college, I have to take these advanced courses.

6) Stupid quirks in your education system?
We never get a day off due to snow (even when the surronding tri-state did) and NYC Board of Education just sucks most of the time.

7) Any plans for the future?
Go to a college with a pre-vet major. :o

1) What country do you live in?
Scotland.

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?
I'm in my third year of high school. It's pretty cool for me right now - I'm enjoying high school a lot more than I ever have done.

3) What subjects are you taking?
Maths, English, German, Geography, Art, Music, Biology, Computing Studies.

4) Subjects you like?
I like English, Art and Music the most. Art's probably the best of those, because it gives me a feel of independence and I can experiment with lots of different ways of expressing myself. I also love to just draw stuff, and Art gives me a challenge. I also think I'm pretty good at it. I love making music and learning about it, so yeha... That's just enjoyable all round. English is a fun subject because I like learning about literature, and writing, and reading etc.

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?
I don't actually have any subjects that I loathe or anything, but Maths and German are the worst. They're still good though, and I like them.

6) Stupid quirks in your education system?
Not really. It's a pretty crappy school but since I like the subjects I think it's fine.

7) Any plans for the future?
I want to finish High School at 17, go to university, spend a few years there, get good qualifications, a job that I enjoy and then settle down. That's a rough idea of what I'd like to do but I honestly don't really know right now.

1. I am from Australia.

2. I am in my final year of highschool which seeming unlike many other countries, university entry is not guaranteed by passing an easy aptitude test. You get ranked according to the subjects you do and how well you do in them. So I have to work hard.

3. I am doing Units 3/4 VCE subjects; English, Chemistry, Physics, Maths Methods and Specialist Maths.

4. I prefer the maths subjects but I have been able force myself to enjoy all subjects as all of them count towards my final score.

5. I used to 'despise' english but it is very important in the ranking process so again, I have forced myself to work hard in it and now I enjoy taking it.

6. I can't really think of any.

7. Plans can change. It depends on what my TER score is when I get it.

8. I choose not to answer this one as I do not understand the point of it.

4. Earth Science honors, History(though I'm boreded out because it's easy), Art, and Music.
5. Math honors(teacher is insane), P.E.(because I'm not physical), and English(the teacher hates me)
6. Not sure of any...but I don't undestand why my English teacher is a pain over me because I don't act like the other students.
7. Get outta the state and make it out of high school...and try getting a scholarship to a college and make it as a novelist and/or national news anchor.

1) What country do you live in?
New Zealand.

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?
Second year of university.

3) What subjects are you taking?
Classics, Biology, and a few others that can cross-credit into the relevant degrees.

4) Subjects you like?
Classics.

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?
Statistics.

6) Stupid quirks in your education system?
Um...well, it's more of a screw-up - we have to pay back student loans of over $40,000 (which no student ever, ever has), while those who decide to enforce the student loan scheme itself had a free education.

7) Any plans for the future?
Four more years of uni, at least, and then whatever comes next.

8) What came first, the Town Hall or the Peon? (due to popular demand, I'll define what these are: a 'town hall' is the building that produces your worker units (peons) in real-time strategy games. 'Peons' are the worker units that produce buildings, including the town hall.)

Depends entirely (given that what you have told us is correct) on whether the Peon originates in the town that the Town Hall appears in. If it's a refugee, or an abductee, then the Peon. Otherwise the Town Hall.

1) What country do you live in?
Australia.

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?
Year 10.

3) What subjects are you taking?
The usual: English, History, Geography, Science, Religious Ed, Phys Ed, VCE Maths Methods 1/2 (which is basically year 11 maths), Japanese, Intro to Literature, Science and Technology.

4) Subjects you like?
Intro to Literature, S&T, Japanese. Basically all my electives.

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?
RE, PE. The first one's just stupid and the second I suck at.

6) Stupid quirks in your education system?
In VCE, people who take English as a Second Language get extra compensation, while the Literature people get points deducted. Puhlease, isn't it already enough compensation that the subject ESL exists in the first place?

7) Any plans for the future?
Three more years, then uni, then...

8) What came first, the Town Hall or the Peon? (due to popular demand, I'll define what these are: a 'town hall' is the building that produces your worker units (peons) in real-time strategy games. 'Peons' are the worker units that produce buildings, including the town hall.)

Australia

2) What grade/year of post-secondary are you in?

Year 8, secondary. Yap..

3) What subjects are you taking?

Ugh.... English, Maths, History/Geography, Graphic Communication, Information Technology, French, PE, Sport (Volleyball). Can't remember the other few.

4) Subjects you like?

I like maths because the work is easy and I always get it done before everyone else :) The Year 8 work is too easy, give me precalc :P PE is okay, I don't like the practical stuff where you have to weigh yourself and stuff which is like a requirement every week ~_~ Sport would be okay but some of them I'm forced to do just suck so much.

5) Subjects you despise but are taking anyway because you have to?

Graphic Communication. I have the worst teacher ever for it --; she is one huge *****. I'd swap her anyday. The others I'm fine with, I don't really like History/Geography either. I just find it boring.
