You sure this isn't just the RPG? Because there don't seem to be any Gym Leaders, and GLs are always the fun part of the game.

Sadly, I don't think there is a Gym Leader Tower in Colosseum....

Indeed, there is not. Someone asked on IGN, and Serebii (you know him) said so.

That one girl has like salamander eyes. She's creepy looking, so chances are she'll be playing a large role in the game.

Gamefreak needs to lay off the pokemon and work on human character design.

Personally, I'm looking at these people and going WHAT THE H**L?!

One looks like a very weird Aeris, this disco freak is actually a woman, and about six of these people are highly remeniscent of Kuja/Sephiroth/Kefka breeds! If people look this damn freaky, They'd betterhave some decent story line!

Speaking of that, anything new on that area?

Perhaps the red-aura doppelgangers of the main characters are a clue to that? Anyone know what they'd be for?

sadly, I must agree. The majority of the new characters are ripoffs.

Blatant dead girl.. err... Aeris.. ripoff (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_010.png)
Blatant ripoff of Dr. Hojo, Sephiroth's father (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_011.png)
Blatant ripoff of a hybrid between Trance Kuja and Sephiroth (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_012.png)
Blatant ripoff of Dr. Wily (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_013.png)
Blatant ripoff of Eiko (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_026.png)
Blatant ripoff of a more masculine Kuja with shorter hair (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_037.png)
Blatant ripoff of Kefka Palazzo. WHY GOD WHY DID THEY BUTCHER THE GREAT ALMIGHTY KEFKA?? (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_058.png)
Blatant ripoff of Protoman (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_066.png)
Blatant ripoff of Hulk Hogan. HULKAMANIA (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_074.png)
Blatant ripoff of Mr. T.. Oh wait.. Thats because it IS Mr. T, sucka! (http://hc.hanszen.rice.edu/sports/CurrentReps/mr%20T.jpg)

and with n64-style graphics, too. Im extremely dissapointed with this game. Theyre not using the cube's full potential. They did it with Metroid Prime & SSBM, why couldnt they do it with colluseum?

Do you realize how much power it takes to have all 386 pokemon playable and fully animated? If it had graphics as powerful as, say, smash brothers, then there wouldn't be room for even half as many pokemon, or they'de have to scrap the RPG mode entirely. Pokemon has a hell of a lot of content compared to other games.

Anyways, I disagree on the ripoffs. Aeries, sephiroth, hojo, dr. wily and most other characters you mention are all very generic. There have been hundreds of similar-looking characters long before they came around. They're just anime stereotypes.

It's very much possible, since the pokemon will mostl ikely have 3-5 "action poses" and the attack animation itself is the same (ie. Flamethrower will be the same flame regardless of who uses it).

This excuse was used back with Stadium 1, but N64 quality models will not hold water here. They can and did not try to do better.

I have to still disagree. We're looking at almost twice as many pokemon and an RPG mode. Time is another issue too y'know, with super-advanced graphics we'de be waiting around another year for the thing to be released. I don't care either way, graphics have never been important to me.

Ugh, I can't view PNG files in my browser. Quicktime was trying to open them, but fixing that setting only made it worse, now they just don't load.

EDIT/ looking at them now (by downloading) I have to say...No offense kari, but you're seriously exaggerating.

...This girl looks ABSOLUTELY NOTHING like aeris other than having brownish hair.

Blatant ripoff of Dr. Hojo, Sephiroth's father (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_011.png)
Blatant ripoff of a hybrid between Trance Kuja and Sephiroth (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_012.png)
...Hojo, Kuja and Sephiroth are esspecially generic, unoriginal character designs. These bear only a passing resemblance, esspecially the second. Sephiroth did not invent long, silver hair. She's nowhere close to him or kuja.

Blatant ripoff of Dr. Wily (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_013.png)
...Short, wild-haired old men have always been common, before and after megaman. This guy is somewhat unique as far as the cliche' goes.

Blatant ripoff of Eiko (http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_026.png)
...Only the fact that she's a little girl with short hair and a ribbon.

(http://pokeguide.gambelz.de/chara/images/chara_big_058.png)
...Okay, now you're getting silly. These characters don't have one thing in common with kuja or kefka!

Hmm, the charcters look really cool in-game. These pics obviously reduce the quality by a lot. But I like the designs, they don't look like overwieght fat guys that inhabit the R/S Zone!

Hey wait, there is a screen on Serebii with Brawly in it! Brawly has been seen in screens of it! He's in it!

It's been nearly three years since the cube came out. I'd like to think that this has been a project in the works before the Cube was released, since it's going to sell big. So it's not like they lacked time.

I think that they all look relatively similar as far as general facial structure goes. I mean I know everyone has eyes, a nose, mouth etc. but I think that to stop someone from looking like someone else, they attempt to add a hat or a bandana or beard. I don't think that creates variety, they're just obvious differences. I agree that more time should be spent on characters. Perhaps each one could even have a phrase...that would be asking for too much though =/
