Everyone has a dream in life. It is impossible to deny it, otherwise you have no purpose in life, no ambitions, no objectives. We may share dreams, yet our dreams may radically differ. But we all share one dream: to restore order to the country. This dream will be a reality, and once realised, nothing will stop us.

The year is 2205. The democracies of the 20th and the 21st centuries are gone, replaced by Totalitarian governments. Dissenters are removed from the public eye and are never seen again. Ordinary people believe that if they are happy then they have nothing to fear and therefore nothing to disagree about. Thus anything that may shock the public is kept secret. All diplomacy is secret. Governments are built up of a single-party council that elects the country's leader for them, but of course they are a puppet. These puppets are fitted with killswitches that makes sure they don't abuse their power, and are still fitted with the switch in case they reveal secrets after they step down from power.

With the expanded use of nuclear technology, more accidents have happened. However, the effects on some humans are interesting. Children of those involved in nuclear accidents have develeped telekinetic abilities. However, unless these abilities are honed, they grow up without even knowing about them, unless they accidently let out psychic waves in anger or rage. The governments of the world realised this and see these psimen(psychic humans) as the single greatest internal threat to peace.

An underground movement of psimen known as TeleKinetic Operations (TKO) has been training for espionage and covert operations. It was set up 10 years ago but their leader, Pietre Konan, who started the group and knew the corruptness of the government. was captured and was never seen again, presumed dead. Now it is up to the rest of his team to continue his mission: to expose the government's corruption to the rest of the country and then restore a democratic government.

A long read? Sorry. Okay. This isn't too say all the world's governments are totalitarian. In fact only a few are: The USA, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, China and Russia. The UK and Canada are strongly democratic as are much of Eastern Europe. Needless to say, relations between the democratic states and the totalitarian states are hostile (but only diplomatically; they are at peace currently).

This takes place in the USA. The future has seen much changed: grav vehicles, plasma and laser technology, flying cars. There are even robots, but only simple ones that can only perform one or two tasks and have no spatial ability at all.

As for the TKO group? Their powers are phenomenal. They can see into the future two or three seconds before it happens. They can also see and hear better. They can sense if something bad is going to happen. All these come without much effort. Requiring more effort would be to strengthen their muscles to either punch harder or jump higher and short-term levitation (either of oneself or other objects). Requiring great effort and strain would be to use psychic blasts or to create a forcefield or for long-term levitation. However, they are not telepathic i.e. they can't read minds.

They start in their underground lair where they plan their next move on a government nexus in New York City where much information can be accessed.

Weapons: be imaginative, this is the future. You can use your powers to enhance weapons but nothing overpowered. Plasma and laser guns are now used, so bullets have been rendered obselete. As for swords, I will allow people to carry plasma swords, which can be like lightsabers, or even a normal sword if you like.

Personality: Fairly nice to know. He is friendly and likes to get to know people. He won't turn tail in the middle of a fight unless his comrades are safe. Renewed by the death of Pietre, he fights more vigilantly than ever.
Appearance: Short blonde hair back and sides, medium length top. He has blue eyes. He is about 5' 9" and has a fit build.
History: Was adopted by his uncle Pietre at the age of 2 after his parents were removed for speaking out against the government. He was told that his parents died in a helicopter accident. He was trained to be a TKO agent when his abilities manifested in his preteens.
Weapon(s): Has a Blue Plasma Sword and two Laser Pistols that fire blue beams. The lasers are silenced and both have rapid-fire and scopes.
Speciality: He can see in the dark as if it was daylight.
Other: He is a tactician and has various pilot proficiencies.

Personality: he generally comes off a jerk but that's because he doesn't like to show anyone the sensitive side of himself. He's very arogant and stuck-up, even to people he respects. Others have just learnt to except that this is the way he is.
Appearance: Stretching to just below the 6 foot mark, he is pretty tall. He has an impressive build and wears a black t-shirt that reaches just below his waistline, jeans and black trainers. Occasionally he wears a black leather jacket but it depends.

Speciality: He can see things up to 500 meters away

Personality: Quiet, shy, not out spoken, keeps to herself, but tends to speak out if she has too. Is quite kind and caring, but also has a dark and evil side.
Appearance: shoulder length brown hair, that is quite straight, has lightly tanned skin and deep emerald eyes, like a cats. Is quite strong, though doesn't look it though. 5'5''

Weapon(s): Has pretty gold bracelet, that shoots out razor disc's at very fast speeds. Has a smaller gold braclet that reveals to form a laser sword.
Speciality: Can use a wierd form of psi power to be able to crawl on walls and cielings like a spider. Though gets tired after a little while. And will have to stop.
Other: Theft, shes very good at it. Also very good at braking in to houses, buildings etc.

Personality: Bright, happy, bubbly...ditzy even, at times; of course, only because she likes being that way; likes making friends and keeping them, will do most anything for them. When it's time to do business, it's like day and night; she gets very determined, zealous even, and not much besides serious injury is going to stop her.
Appearance: Well, I designed it for another RPG, but it works here: Lose the gold armlets and add white sneakers (http://home.comcast.net/~dark_archon/images/digitaldreams_maichi-doll.png); about 5'10", 130 lbs, and underneath her other clothes she wears a light blue-gray leotard. History: Originally disliked the psimen, until she found her power when she was about 12. Keeping it a secret from her parents and younger brother, she tried training herself with varying success. Then when she was 16 (after having learned to drive), she got caught by her brother (she appeared suddenly when he went into her room) who threatened to use it as blackmail. Unable to bear to think of what he could come up with, she left home that night, leaving only a note saying she was going to "find herself." She was found by Calvin after she turned visible in a dark alleyway that night, where she thought nobody would be able to see her. He took her to the TKO (if you don't mind, Heald)
Weapon(s): Always a fan of Star Wars, she has a blade almost identical to a lightsaber (long and skinny cylinder of energy), light blue in color (like her shirt)...she also calls it a lightsaber instead of an energy sword; she also has a small switchblade that can be powered up with energy like her sword...it's not really used for battle;
Speciality: She can bend the light around her to make herself invisible for short periods of time, currently 3 minutes at a time; at the start, she needs 5 seconds visible recharge for every second she's invisible, though she's trying to lower this recharge time. (In other words, as her power stands right now, if she uses her full 3 minutes of invisibility, she needs 15 consecutive minutes to recharge it to full again.)
Other: Very agile, having taken gymnastics classes from when she was 5 (until she left home). Not exceedingly smart, but understands stuff better than most people her age. Oh, and don't tell him, but she has a small crush on Calvin (hehe).

Personality: She's very quite and keeps to herself, being one of the older in the group. She veiws a lot of things from an outside perspective, and is rarely confused by events. She knows a lot more than she lets on, but due to her loner personality (and most of the time common sense) she stays shut up about it.

History: She refuses to talk about it much, but apparently it goes along these lines: when she was in her early teens, there was an incident in which she discovered her powers. She was hunted by the government for a short period of time, and for some reason they suddenly stopped chasing her. She became one of the first members of the TKO.
Weapon(s): She has a laser gun that she rarely uses.
Speciality: She has a minor control over the four major elements (Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth/Wood) but if she doesn't put enough effort into control she won't be able to manipulate them well, if she puts too much effort in she tires out.
Other: Good at stealth and blending in.

A sidenote:

In case you're wondering, the training has trained you to use basic psychic abilities fluently. One of the most valuble basic abilities is the ability to see a few seconds into the future. This enables them to dodge melee attacks with ease. They can also get out of a line of fire with ease too (a good example of this would be like how Neo and Trinity avoid every single bullet in the lobby scene in the Matrix). The psimen can also run up and along walls.

I'm going to wait for a few more sign-ups until I start this. If we don't get any new SUs, then I'll begin this on Friday/Saturday.

Personality: Very quiet, reserved... some people when they first meet him, see him as cold and very distant. However, he's really quite nice and rather caring... has a soft voice when he speaks, but it is strong so obviously if he yelled it would be strong. He just chooses to speak softly and he doesn't usualyl speak up often. Goes with teh flow, laid back... but when provoked, he can become bold and take a stand. Just got to get to know him.

History: His father was apart of the Brittish Government, and met Brent's mother who was apart of the USA's government. They were to meet to try to work out a sort of 'peace' options, if you could even call the ploys of the government like that these days. Anyhow, after long negotiations Brent's mother fell in love with his father and revolted and disappeared from the USA's government. However, the USA secretly tried to assasiant Brent's mother many times, but his father had secretly hid her. They soon gave birth to Brent, but only a year after he was born his mother was finally discovered and assisnated. This grew a slight disturbance with Brent's father in the government, so as a last-end resort he sent Brent to Canada, to a small local community with a fewp eople he knew. Brent's father covered up the tracks so that hopefully no one would know that Brent is the son of the Prime Minister (or president if this changed now a days) of Britain. (Thought it would add a twist, since Brent doesn't even know this. ) When he was young, probably since a baby his body often made strange tweaks around him. A few local community members know of this, but they tend to try to keep it a secret.
(I hope some how some one can who is in th eTKO can find a way to 'discover' Brent. lol )
Weapon(s): He's really works out a lot, some t hing he enjoys and concentrates hard on. He hasn't had special training with his powers, although he 'dad' has helped him with it, trying to have him focus his energy and go on self discovery things. Bren'ts weapon that he likes however, is a saber-like sword, however it shoots out on both ends, except instead of being a straight beam it sort of flattens a bit to look like a small, katana-like sword on both ends. Some thing from Canada's special weapon stuff, which they don't like to share with any other countries. He's pretty skilled with it.
Speciality: He's extremely fast and agile, not with his legs but rather with his arm movements. That is why he's so lethal and skilled with his Plasma Katana-like thingy. ^^; Also, he can see into the future a bit more than most people... or rather, his intuition level is extremely sensative and high.
Other: Plays Football (american version, before the revolution it started to flurish there.) so he's pretty strong, even though it isn't his specialty. He's very knowledgable in history and has a strong, almost musical-voice. ^^ Not that it will help him... but he has a very strong, beautiful singing voice for a guy. Good speaker. The people in his village see him as a 'strange taste' for the clothing he wears. ^^; Wears black pants with the picture below to match his outfit.

Personality: not shy, but not outgoing. loves people, and makes friends pretty easily. when it comes to tough decisions, she gets nervous and sometimes does the wrong thing
Appearance: about 5'4'' and has a thin build (but not TOO thin) has white hair(another side effect of a nuclear accident...is that okay?) and crystal blue eyes. wears a sleeveless spandex shirt and a short, tight skirt, both shades of red but the shirt lighter
History: discovered her powers just recently. tried to tell her parents, and they freaked out. they kicked her out of the house, and she eventually found the TKO. doesn't seem to mind her somewhat troubled past.
Weapons: plasma-enhanced shuriken
Specialty: can become invisible for short amounts of time using a special style of jujitsu, by altering the cells in her body to blend in perfectly with the surroundings. works for about ten minutes, but it takes about 20 minutes to gain back the energy used in doing this. overuse could also cause her cells to mutate and she would stay that way....
Other: studied different styles of Jujitsu for many years, and was mostly self-taught...is an only child, and is from London

Personality: Michaelov is usually secluded and quiet. However, he is never untruthful, and will speak when it is necessary. He also usually smiles, appearing to conform to mainstream society.

Appearance: Stands about 5'8" with a skinny to medium build, having long, curly brown hair (including a long moustache) and pale, clean skin adorned by crystal blue eyes. Wears a navy blue sweater with dark khakis and... well, socks and sandals.

History: Michaelov's ancestors told of the days when democracy was still kicking in the then called United States of America. In fact, had it not been for his great grandfather being illiterate in English, he would have been converted to the totalitarianism regime. But, he was, so he wasn't, so the Perinski family went into hiding, quietly repressing the current government's evils, on and off being involved in projects similar to the TKO (of course, though, being not based on telekenetic abilities). Michaelov, being home-schooled and taught to oppress the regime, was the next in this line of silent protesters. When a series of events happened involving random objects being frozen or spontaneously combusting were directly related to him, though, he was forced to leave the family. So began years of discovery and development of Michaelov's powers, until he was found by the TKO, joining immediately.

Weapon(s): (2) Plasma pistols. By heating the air around the beam, it becomes even faster- and, thus, more deadly.

Speciality: By changing the speed of movement of water molecules in air, Michaelov can change the temperature around things, freezing or heating them. Cannot cool beyond freezing point or heat beyond boiling point, and, during mental stress or fatigue, the process slows from tenths of seconds to tens of seconds.

Other: Michaelov is skilled in music and drama, and can basically contort his voice into almost anything.

Personality: Draken is a dreamer. He daydreams constantly, and hardly ever pays attention to anything, unless it's a life or death situation. He is very stubborn, and a bit arrogant, but he's not over the top with it. He is extremely courageous. He is a good lier, though he does it rarely now that he resides with good people. He talks occasionally, but isn't really quiet.
Appearance: (Looks like Squall from FF8 in the face and the hair.) Draken stands at a burly 6'3", and weighs a lean, slightly muscular 180 lbs. He is most frequently seen in a black polo short with black khaki's and a pair of Hush Puppies. Depending on the weather, he might wear a black wind breaker with a high collar.
History: Draken was born into a rich and prosperous family. His family had inherited money from their own parent's and grandparent's, so niether his mother nor father had any jobs. Growing up he was a dreamer, and his short attention span left him unphased by the Totalitarian government. When he started puberty, his powers manifested. Having access to very high-tech research means, he found out about the TKO, and saught out to find them himself, and succeeded after only a few days, since they were also looking for him.
Weapon(s): Draken has a Red plasma sword, that can only be turned on by a psiman or woman, and a medium sized plasma rifle with rapid fire.
Speciality: Has learned how to focus and control his telekinesis to move nearly anything.
Other: Was trained in the art of fencing and sharpshooting or rather, hunting ducks with rifles.

Personality: Serious most of the time, but is possessed of a dark sense of humor, dislikes talking too much. A very introverted person.
Appearance:about 5'9", he is garbed completely in black, ninja style. he IS caucasian, and has blue eyes, never lets anyone see what he really looks like, all they can see are his Icy blue eyes.
History:Was born to a family that passed down the ninja arts through the generations, he had just finished learning the arts when the government killed his family for their potential danger, and the fact that he had his powers. He later joined the TKO and has since proven his loyalty, despite how mysterious he is.
Weapons: Has a Plasma Katana as well as a forearm mounted Plasma blaster.
Specialty: he has concentrated his power into three things, one, he has learned to enhance his moving speed, second, he can suppress all sound his body makes, and third, he can make split images by moving quickly and manipulating light slightly. all three need to be used seperately, the third is very draining.

Personality: He’s laid back, a bit of a rogue and doesn’t like to follow orders. He’s only serious about his skill, sharpshooting. He’s a nice man though who hates dishonesty. He speaks in an Australian/bumpkin accent and walks as if he’s half drunk.
Appearance: He’s tall and lanky. He has messy, straw coloured hair and brown eyes. He wears a brown trench coat, a white shirt, black pants, black boots, black gloves and a wide-brimmed hat. He’s got an earring on his left ear and an eye patch on his right eye.
History: He’s was born and raised in the Australian outback. He spent most of his time training his marksmanship. When he was 16, he discovered his psychic power and decided to use it to become an even more deadly sniper. When he made enough money, he moved to America to become one of the greatest snipers of all time. He lost his right eye in a bar fight and when he was 19, he built his high-powered sniper rifle.
Weapon(s): A large, high-powered sniper rifle and a plasma rifle.
Speciality: He can knock out the sense of people for a period of time (and when I say sense I mean sight, hearing, touch. Think Dominique the Cyclopes from "Trigun")
Other: He’s constantly calling Ninja 'squirt' due to her age.

Personality: She's a very happy girl when around people, always smiling and laughing. However, she's often found brooding if left alone, and often speaks coldly when she’s in this mood. She says she's meditating when she’s like this. No one is sure what side of her behavior is her true personality
Appearance: She wears a maroon strapless shirt under a blue flannel and black pants with black boots. All of these clothes are second-hand and show it through various stains and frayed edges. She's lanky and flat chested, so she's often confused for a boy. Her hair is a dirty blond, cut raggedly and hanging a little below her ears, and her eyes are a light brown, almost tan. She stands around 5'5".
History: She was found wandering the streets by a member of the TKO and taken in when she was 8. Since then, she has lived with the organization, training in weaponry, martial arts, and the psychic powers she always seem to know she had. She has no memory of what happened before the TKO found her. She often goes out on her own, though she doesn't know if it's just to wander or find her past.
Weapon(s): An array of throwing daggers and a plasma gun. The plasma comes out in small pellets and explodes on impact.
Specialty: By concentrating her power into her hand, she can funnel pure psychic energy into her fist, giving it a violet aura. Her arm becomes numb for awhile after using this, the time it takes to recover is proportional to the amount of time she used this power. She can also focus power into her voice, creating sound waves that can be used as weapons. This can easily go awry if she loses concentration, and she loses her voice for a few moments after using it.
Other: Chose the codename for herself because "a grey soul is connected to nothing."

I'm in time then? I wanted to sign up on Wednesday night, but my computer suddenly crashed, then I was away for 3 days until yesterday afternoon. I thought this rpg would have been up and running in my absence...

Name: Menelvir Gelir Celonhidh (lit. Heaven-jewel Joy River-peace)
Codename: Peace-jewel (or simply, Jewel)
Gender: Female
Age: 12
Personality: As her last name suggests, Menelvir is peaceful girl who is loth to fight. She is also a very cheerful person with an adictive smile, usually the one to rouse the TKO members' spirits, especially in times of dismay. Menelvir chooses her friends wisely, and is open to anyone she deems worthy of trust. Just don't ask her about her painful past, which she wants to forget.
Appearance: http://img.atpictures.com/kanon/kanon117.jpg Usually wears sleeveless tops of her favourite colours, bright pink or baby blue, with black pants. Has a woven bag strapped across her shoulder. Has a sapphire cross pendant around her neck, with the Japanese symbol for 'Sakura' engraved on the back, which she often fiddles with, it being her only memoir of her parents. ((Sakura is presumably her birth name.
History: As far as is known, Menelvir was not born a psychic. Her parents, former members of the TKO, were assinated within a year after she was born. While it is not clear when she developed her powers, it is believed to have spurned from shock and trauma of her parents' death. Cruelly beaten and left on the streets to bleed to death by the same assinators who killed her parents, she managed to heal her wounds. Menelvir was adopted by an aging couple at age 6, who named her 'December', after the month they adopted her, but was thrown out to the streets again when the couple discovered her unusual powers. 4 years later, she was picked up by a TKO member, who recognised her as her parents' child, and has since been with the TKO, learning lore and language, on top of fighting and survival skills.
Weapon(s): As aforementioned, Menelvir is not a fighter, but a peacemaker. But just in case of serious need, she has an ancient silver sword, which she has personally fused with magic (meaning that the sword can double as some sort of wand). This sword can be reduced to an embroidered tassel beaded with a white pearl which would otherwise hang at the end of the sword hilt. Menelvir often ignites a flame around the sword to make her attacks more lethal. She also has a number of poison darts, which she can throw with deadly accuracy.
Speciality: Menelvir is able to change the DNA in her cells for controlled periods of time to morph her image. This period of time depends on how different the target image is. For example, if she simply wants to change her gender, the change can last up to 12 hours. However, if she wants to transform into, say, a tiger, then the limit will be 4 hours. The more different the target image's body is from the human body, the shorter the time period.
Other: She is highly talented in music and can play the flute and the cello. Has a flute that can stimulate healing when played.

Hmm. Although that power is feasible it would require incredible concentration, so it is overpowered. The timing is the issue here. Perhaps the shapeshifting for into another humanoid could be up to 1 hour, whereas a tiger could only be 5-10 minutes? I'll accept it then.
