Question: Colluseum EVs

Okay, we all know that while trying to purify a shadow poke, it wont gain any experience earned until its purified.

My question is this: When you do purify it, will it gain any EVs it would have earned prior to being purified? Or will it gain no EVs at all and thus let you begin some successful EV training?

EDIT: Im curious about this as i dont feel like catching & purifying a Suicune only to find out it already has improper EV distros upon purification and i have no choice but to live with it.
