A few questions about FR/LG and Pokemon Box

Hello anyone! I'm new to the forum, and would like to say "hello". Anyway... Off to my questions. I would like to know if I bought a Japanese Pokemon Leaf Green, could I trade Pokemon to the English Ruby and Sapphire? My second question is if I bought a Japanese Pokemon Box, can I store english pokemon on it? My third question, can you trade Japanese Pokemon Green pokemon with english Colosseum? Thanks in advanced...

There has been no release date announced for Pokémon Box for anywhere outside of Japan, where it has already been released. It seems like it should be released in other countries, but as of yet, there is no news about it.

Are you sure that trading between the japanese LG to english R/S is not possible? Has this been confirmed?
I know that trading between japanese and english R/S is possible. I have done it several times. It would surprise me if I can't trade between R/S and LG/FR when the language is different.

I thought that English Pokémon Game Boy carts were incompatible with the Japanese carts...?

Also, if anyone is interested in buying those games... Pokemon Box, Green, or Red, I found a site. (www.play-asia.com) In the search type Pokemon. It'd be cool to trade between the games and stuff. I assume that if you can trade between Ruby Japanese and Ruby Engish, then why not Japanese Green and Ruby English?

It is supposed to be possible to trade between English and Japanese versions of Ruby/Sapphire and Fire Red/Leaf Green. That is the way that you get the National Pokédex on Ruby/Sapphire, just trade a Pokémon from Fire Red/Leaf Green to Ruby/Sapphire, and you should get the National Pokédex on Ruby/Sapphire.

Also, Xx Ninja xX, not to seem mean or anything, but please edit the website out of your post, because that is advertising, and advertising is against the rules at TPM. I am not trying to tell you what to do or anything, but I was just letting you know.

As far as I know, there is no way to get Mew on Fire Red/Leaf Green. You can catch Mewtwo though. People that have hacked into the game have found sprites for Mew that suggest that it may be available, possibly through a Nintendo promotion in the future. However, as of now, there is no way to get Mew without a cheating device.

guess what i was at my friend's house all day and he really showd me how to catch mew in fire red !! wow it was true! while i was ther he recorded the part of mew with his capcard and bured it on cd for me.

i cant wait to get my own version of fire red in english!!

Hm. I can see the movie. Mew actually appears as a visible sprite in a cave, just like Mewtwo and the Birds in RBY. This is neat!

Just a little update on the Pokemon Box situation. It is going to be released in US/Europe/other countries! I was browsing the US's Nintendo site and found a section on PB. It said that no release date was scheduled yet, but it is announced to come out here!

A guy on gameFAQs gave this untrue rumor of how you get Mew in Fire Red/Leaf Green...

You need both the Ruby and Sapphire Plates and access to the Unknown Dungeon.

Put Mewtwo in the first spot in your team, and put Ditto in the second spot. Put Unown ! third and Unown ? fourth. Bring a Pokemon that knows Surf, and Fly to Island 6 and Surf to the Transformation Cave at the other side of the forest. Once you enter, the ground will start shaking and a flight of stairs will appear. Continue until you get to the final room, and you will come find a Mew, which is at Level 30.

However, this is just a false rumor that some guy put in his FAQ as an April Fools joke.

That above rumor is fake, because in the same FAQ the guy states near the bottom that it was an April Fools hoax (ctrl + F, then type Mew in and search until you find the message). But that video looks pretty authentic, and the post wasn't made on April 1, pretty much assuring that is isn't an April Fools joke.
