EV gain

K whoa, swift question.

Say I have a umm, lets take Metagross. If I let him deshadow in the Pokemon Center-he won't gain any EV's, correct.
If I battle him agains trainers and such, he'll have EV's when he finally deshadows, correct?

Cuz if this is true, I'd be very happy 'cause I actually got a Adament Metagross that I tossed in the daycare cause I didn't feel like luggin' it around all the live long day.

Yeah. So you probably don't want to battle against trainers with your Metagross, and instead use a bunch of Vivid Scents (easy to get the cash for once you've got access to the Amulet Coin and the Deep Colosseum) on it.
