The Oesidian Archipelago. Perhaps one of the more interesting places of the known world. There is a constant battle between the law enforcers and the pirates. These pirates come in different forms. Some are the devilishly handsome and chivalric fellows that are the heartthrobs of maidens throughout the region. Others are fearsome evil doers that are only mentioned in ghost stories and strike fear into the hearts of all that meet them.

However, the pirates have divided themselves into two camps: The Wildcat Outlaws and the Legions of Rancura. The Outlaws are more friendly, often abiding by morals but still like to stay on the wrong side of the law. The Legions kill innocent people and break the rules of traditional piracy. They are also perceived as the greater threat.

One vessel, the Roguish Ocelot, was one of the most popular and best equipped ship in the Outlaws' fleet. However, an incident occured in which many innocent people as well as lawmen were killed. This was known as the Klaran Bay Massacre and somehow the crew of the Roguish Ocelot has been blamed. Although at the moment this information has only managed to disperse itself throughout the capital island of Geteria, no doubt it will be the talk of every island.

The crew of the Roguish Ocelot are now public enemy number one, on the run from their own faction, the Legions and the law.

The crew are preparing to leave the island they are on, Loran, and have no idea that they are being stitched up for the murder. Perhaps their departure will become an escape rather than an exit...

You are one of the crew of the Roguish Ocelot. This is going to be a, that's right, a Pirate RPG. It is set in semi-Medieval times, in which there are no guns. The Archipelago also plays host to many different races: Human, Dwarf, Elf, Orc and Anthrope. The Anthropes resemble cats. I won't be setting caps but I would like more humans than any other race please. Orcs are perceived as dangerous as natives, although thanks to slavery some have been bred to live in human society. I also don't want half-breeds.

Personality: A quite friendly fellow, often daring and outgoing, whether in the heat of battle or with the ladies. Not one to lose his cool, although he can get angry with his crew. However, the person he gets most angry with is himself. Or his brother.
History: Marcus was the younger of two sons from a rich governor. In his teens, his elder brother, Duncan, killed his father in order to benefit from the will. Only Marcus knows that Duncan killed him, as everyone else who knew this was also killed by Duncan when he torched their house. Marcus was thought to have been killed in the fire when he was in fact out on the bay with a maiden. With no status and pent up with rage, he abandoned his luxurious lifestyle and joined a pirate crew. He rose through the ranks and the captain made him captain after he retired after an assassination attempt.
Weapons/Equipment: A cutlass. He also has a spring-loaded dagger on his left wrist.

Name: Aiseki Doshaburi

Appearance: She stands about 5'5", weighs about 110 pounds, has waist length dark purple hair that she keeps in 2 braids, grey eyes, and each ear pierced twice. She wears a ratty grey knee-length dress with an old pair of boots. She has several scars on her arms, legs, back, and face.

Personality: She tends to be withdrawn from the rest of the crew, since she doesn't trust other people very much because of her past.

History: Her birth parents gave her up for adoption at birth and she was adopted by a very rich, yet very cruel old couple. They treated her like Cinderella, forcing her to clean, cook, and just about everything else to be done in their enormous house. If she refused, or if she wasn't working fast enough for their liking, she was whipped, hence the many scars on her body. At 14, she ran away from home and wandered the streets, stealing to survive. She became a pirate to forget her past and because she always seeks an adventure.

Weapons/Equipment: She carries a small sword at her side.

Appearance: Stands at a highly respectable 6'9, he is all around the massive-brutish looking type. His skin is an extremely dark green in coloration, appearing almost black unless in the sunlight, where green tints reflect from his skin. His head is shaved, and on the back of his head he is branded once to show he is a slave, and on his left forearm and bicep he is again. Heavily muscled, holding a tank-like build, very intimidating looking. Has a bit of an underbite and two small tusk-like fangs jutting upward from his bottom lip. He wears black rags for clothing, a loose loincloth-like piece for his bottoms, his chest covered loosely by raggy-clothing torn all to hell and his arms being not covered at all. He prefers to walk barefoot, and his soles have been hardened to a near rock-like texture.

Personality: Despite looking like he hates everyone and everything in the world, he is a very loyal Orc. He treats his master with respect, despite a secret rage boiling inside of him that drives him to kill his superiors. Is a bit of a schizophrenic, this way, sometimes feeling like he is a human himself, but others despising them with himself as a whole. A little slow sometimes, but fairly well educated for an Orc. Speaks fluent english to an extent, sometimes slurring his words and such.

History: As a child he was taken from his tribe when he was out hunting alone one day. He was captured by humans that took him, chained him up and raised him to be an extremely strong Orc, which he has grown to be. They treated him brutally, but despite this, he fought on through life until he became labour on Marcus' ship. He was branded to show he was Marcus' possession on the back of his head, and on his left forearm and bicep. Now a member of the crew, he lives his life moving things, and all-around just acting as labor on the ship.

Weapons/Equipment: When he doesn't use his bare hands for battle, he wields an extremely heavy two-handed, spiked warhammer that is much too heavy for any human to wield. His skin acts as a natural armor, hardened from years of work and training beforehand, otherwise he has nothing-- he is only a slave, after all.

Name: Thomas Victory
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Role: 1st Mate
Race: Human
Appearance: Thomas is exactly 6'2, and weighs a cut 165 lb. He skin tone is rather tanned, due to his lounging out in the sun all day. His hair is dark brown, near black, as is his beard and mustache, which both curl at the ends. His eyes are bright blue, and are very seductive and alluring. He is quite handsome, as are most of his type of pirates, but he is more handsome in a rough sort of way. He wears a large white tunic under a close fitting red vest, and baggy black pants tucked into black boots. He occasionally wears a short black cape and matching hat, that is embroidered with gold on the brim.
Personality: A natural charmer. He seems to have a political attitude, saying or doing what everyone else expects him to. But at times, he can be very stubborn, and a bit to sarcastic. Not to mention, he is a very simple man, and instead of making like complex, he keeps it basic and easy. He tend's to look more at the big picture, rather than the small one. Overall he's a real pleasant.
History: He was born into a family with no father and no other siblings. His mother was a showgirl, and not having a real home, he was with her througout the nights. It was in the fast night life that he learned the tricks of the trade and how to charm women. He lived like this until the tender age of eleven, when his mother was shot and killed by a law enforcer, that to this very day he still hasn't found. He used the skills he learned during his time with his mother to become a thief, as he found that this life was more appealing than a normal boring one. He eventually joined a pirate rew out of boredom, and it was there that he met Marcus, a man he thinks of as his brother and father, not to mention boss.
Weapons/Equipment: A cutlass, and two daggers kept at his waist in a holster.

Name: Enjeru Mitsu
Age: 20
Gender: Female
Role: Medic

Appearance: Quite pretty, her skin tends to glow when shes happy, her skin is lightly tanned, probably from the sun, deep green eyes, that seem to capture the world in them, long dark brown almost black hair thats perfectly striaght, and shoulder length. Wears a black ripped sleeved T - shirt, with slightly baggy black pants, always tends to wear no shoes what so ever.
Personality: Quite shy, though very brave, is one to hide her emotion from everyone around her, has a hard time speaking up, much rather stay to herself until needed.
But does have a evil look in her eye, showing that shes not all kind at heart.
History: She became a pirate after her parents died, they were brutally murdered by the Legions, and so, she slowly became a pirate to get revenge on the Legion fallowers, but no one knows this.
Weapons/Equipment: A rather wierd bracelet that clamps onto her arm, and when activate(punching) a 11 inch blade pops out. (has two blade bracelets)

Name: Lucas Johanssen (real name Lucas Marks)

Appearence: He stands around 6' 4", is pure muscle but not built, for he is more toned. He is a scruffy sort of guy, for he has messy, curly black hair that hangs down to the top of his neck, and also a light goatee, and has two different colored eyes, one blue the other green. He wears a white ruffled pirate shirt with sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and black leather pants as well as black leather boots with large brass buckles. Around his waist is a thick brown belt with a hilt on his right side, holding his weapon. He talks with a slight british accent.
Personality: He is a quiet guy, but nice as well. He likes to talk but rarely starts the conversation himself. But he likes a good joke and is usually happier around people when his stomach is full.
History: He was born in a small town near the sea, where he was taught to love the ocean with his father and mother. When he was seven, he was sent off to navigation school, where he learned how to pilot a ship and map routes. But one day while he was at home, his town was ransacked by a crazy group of pirates, and in the midst of the fighting he was seperated from his parents when the pirates took him captive. For the next nine years, he was raised aboard the ship as a slave, cleaning all the time, and he was taught that he was part of the Legion of Rancura. He was later able to escape and took refuge at a small military outpost. But the pirates discovered his hiding place and attacked, but luckily were put down by the army. Christopher was taken in the by the captain, Christopher Johanssen, and under his guidance was taught the art of sword fighting and self defense. A year later, with another unfortunate stroke of bad luck, pirates attacked near him again, and Christopher was stabbed through the chest. It was then that Lucas swore he would get revenge on the Legion, and ended up joining the Outlaws and taking the last name of Christopher, and made his way to Midshipman for Marcus's ship.
Weapon: He carries around a long sword, with a golden handle and emeralds embroided into the hilt. He stole this from a wealthy man from when he was part of the Legion.

[Anjana's Halo]

Name: Jin Corwin (true last name unknown)
Age: 12
Gender: M
Role: Cabin Boy *yay!*
Race: Anthrope
Appearance: Standing a lithe 4'1", the small Jin seems extremely weak until you realize that his body is comprised of harden muscle. His hair is reddish gold tied into a long braid, and his eyes are the color of cinnamon with slitted cat pupils. His ears, which are perched on top of his head, are covered with fur the same color as his hair. He also has a long tail covered with the same red-gold fur. His nails are sharp and pointed, and are actually retractable claws. His two canines are tiny pointed fangs. He wears a green long-sleeve shirt and brown pants held up with a leather belt, both of which seem several sizes too big for him. He also has a wide-brim hat and surprisingly nice leather boots with silver strappings. Over all this he has a large leather coat.
Personality: On the whole, he's the innocent young country boy, though he has been disillusioned to the world's evil somewhat by his travels. He often tries to hide his heritage by tucking his tail into his clothes and wearing his hat to hide his ears and his tell-tale eyes. Usually calm and happy, he's easily startled by sudden, loud noises
History: Jin hails from the town of Abadith, where he was raised by a kindly innkeeper named Dahlia Corwin in the tiny human mountain village. Though he was treated as an oddity by the villagers, he was for the most part respected and not harassed too much. When the inn started to fall into hard times, Jin left to try to gain a job, in order to pay Dahlia back for all she's done for him and to save the inn. Unfortunately, there aren't many jobs out there for a young boy of twelve, and even fewer choices for a young Anthrope, who are stereotypically seen as semi-intelligent beasts. Nearly out of money and almost out of hope, Jin secures a berth on the Roguish Ocelot as its new cabin boy while it's docked in Loran, not caring it's a pirate ship, and not knowing how poor a choice that would turn out to be.
Weapons/Equipment: Besides his natural claws, he carries an arsenal of knives and daggers he keeps hidden throughout his clothing and even his hair. Having him unarm himself can take a good five minutes. He also has a small pack with his worldly possessions which include a knife-sharpening kit and a small wooden statue of Dahlia he carved.
Other: His tail sometimes seems to have a mind of its own, and it often betrays how Jin actually feels.

Personality:If he ever pulls out his sword, consider yourself already dead if he is after you. Sin is a very powerful and mean bing and has great speed and strength ever by and orcs standard. His swors seems to be alive and seems to be more blood hungary than Sin.
History: Sin grew up in a family of pirates. His father (Tano Ishtar) died at the blade of his greatest rival Moby Dick. The news hit Sin like a ton of Bricks and he was furious. He instantly started training with a sword and now he is out hoping to find the killer of his father.
Weapons/Equipment: The only weapon Sin has is a sword/

Appearance: 6'5 (yeah big guy) with a build to match. He has blue / green eyes and light brown hair that is short but longer at the back, cut inwards to form a point between his shoulders. Wears baggy pants with many pockets to hide small items in (hey first into combat, first to reap the rewards ey?) but no shirt. Because of this, his top of is tanned whilst his bottom half remain his normal skin colour.
Personality: Kinda strange personality. Can be very out-going, if somewhat cocky but can also be very withdrawn and moody, no one knows what triggers these moods swings. Tends to keep his personal feelings to himself but can be quite open about other things. Can be unpredictable and may risk disobeying orders to help out a crew member, regardless of the consequences.
History: Never really having any sort of 'family', Darren spent a lot of the time out in the world. He gained a thirst for excitment which lead to run-ins with the Legions which only caused him to become more rebelious. It was his thirst for adventure that convinced him to become a pirate.
Weapons/Equipment: His favourite weapon is the light weighted and slightly curved sword that he always keeps at his side. Oppents concider it little threat due to it's size but this is compensated for by Darren's strength. He also tends to keep various shard objects in his pockets in case of emergencies.

Appearance: Around 6' tall, her eyes are a bright red; her hair is a golden blond, reaching down to her shoulders. She has the typical pointed elven ears, her skin is a fair color, and she's skinny but nimble.
She wears a teal top that's ripped on the left sleeve from a small scuffle, a blue jean cutoff (more like rip-off) skirt, silky leggings that appear multiple shades of red depending on how you look at them, and shoes that strap around her shin. She wears a red bracelet with a large ruby in it on her left wrist.

Personality: She's a rebel for the most part, hates doing things the ordinary and proper way. She's very friendly, however, and would be more than happy to help someone she doesn't really know. Just don't piss her off or you might end up without a head; or at least with a new scar, if she's in a good mood.
History: Grew up as a normal elf, but didn't like a lot of the traditions that she was brought up with. Finally tired of following the arbitrary rules and customs she cut her hair short a few days ago. She was consequently excommunicated from her elven village for being a radical. Has since been wandering the island, looking for something to do. Stowed away on the Ocelot in hopes of catching a ride elsewhere, but was found by the Captain after a short while. Joined the crew on his invitation.
Her red eyes and bracelet earned her the nickname "Cherry" when people got tired of calling her "Cherindel." She likes the name, though.
Weapons/Equipment: Just the sword you see in the image; nothing special about it.
Other: She's very agile, which comes in handy in hand-to-hand combat.

Name: Orbin Grobard

Appearance: As a dwarf only 4 foot in height. He's bald for the most part, but has thick grey eyebrows and a thick grey beard. He's stocky as well as short, but has good body mass of muscle not fat. His build is accompanied by a pair of dirty brown trousers, boots and a much too big for him shirt. He wears a belt, and a brace over his shoulder, where a sheath sits on his hip.
Personality: Orbin is quiet out of his mind and mumbles nonsense to himself when he thinks nobodies around. He also does it when there are people around. Some could veiw him as senile, because of the way he behaves. He's got an affinity for a drink, but is usually mild mannered and quirky, though he does have a mean streak. Usually sarcasm and insults.
History: Orbin was born and raised in a dwarf town far from the coast line and pirate activity, until when he was 20 a band of pirates ransaked the town. Alot were chased off by the larger and heavier dwarfs. The Elders who had grown in heigh above that of a normal dwarf, but alot of damaged had been caused. Orbin set off on a journey of discovery but ended up working for an Inn on the coast where he was eventually fired for drinking on the job. He was found by the crew of the Rougish Ocelot and ended up hauling cargo for them. He's been there ever since.
Weapons/Equipment: A short sword kept in his hip sheath.
