Seriously now, it's a What Country Are You From? poll, this is partly out of my own curiosity, as there seems to be a wide selection of people at TPM, and I thought it would be cool to see who's from where. (Also I'm bored.)

If this poll has been posted before, my apologies I wasn't aware of it. :sweat4:

Anyway, question time:

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?

2: What country were you born in?

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?

4: Do you like living in your particular country?

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?

My answers:

1: The United States of America. :nut: In California, to be precise. (That's western US of A.)

2: US of A, in California and everything.

3: No. ;_; ;_;

4: It's okay, I guess. Sometimes it's a bit embarassing, considering what jerks we've been lately, but I try not to let it get to me.

5: Either Australia or New Zealand, I imagine the mountain biking is pretty good.

6: Yup. :)

Edit: Fixing typos.

1) USA
2) USA, born in New York and now living in Massachusetts
3) Yup, I've been to Canada, Mexico, England and France
4) Yup, it's a nice place and although I am sort of embarrassed for the abuse scandals, it's still a good country
5) Probably to England or Australia. I've been to London and it's nice and I hear Australia is beautiful. Plus, both countries speak English
6) Indeed

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
Northern Ireland.

2: What country were you born in?
Isn't this the same question?

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
I'm out of it right now - I'm at university in England. As far as holidays go, I've been to America and Canada. And Scotland. That's still a different country. There's a sea involved.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?
For the most part, I do. N. Ireland is a pleasant place, but it's kind of a backwater. I want to move on to bigger and better things.

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
Already have. I'm either going to stay in England or possibly move on to America to continue my education, I haven't decided.

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?
Every country has been a jerk at some point. Except possibly Belgium ... but that makes them smug jerks.

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
I live in the US currently.

2: What country were you born in?
I was born in Pakistan.

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
I live in the US now, so yup. Other than that I've been to India, Bangkok, Canada, London, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and a bunch of other places if you count airports(Zurich, Frankfurt, Shannon, Dubai, and more).

4: Do you like living in your particular country?
The US is overrated.

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
Japan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, or Indonesia. Moving back to Pakistan wouldn't be bad either.

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?
Anyone can be a jerk. ^_^

Wales, hence the Welsh flag in my sig.

2: What country were you born in?
Again, Wales.

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
Yup, several times.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?

Well I'm moving to England later this year for Uni, not the ideal choice (:p) but there we go. Although I'd quite like to live in Australia for a while, somewhere quite different from here, and yet English speaking :)

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
USA.

2: What country were you born in?
USA, New York.

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
Yup. I've lived in Luxembourg, England, and am currently back in the US in MA. Other than that, I've also visited a decent amount of Western Europe.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?
It's fine. A bit more rural than I'm used to, but nice. So many trees, though, and everything looks the same at first.

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
The UK, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Greece. I'd also like to see more of Italy, I haven't been to the north or really gone sightseeing.

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?
But of course.

Russia.

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?

Yup. I've been to Canada (obviously), the USA (yes, it IS a different country), Israel, Britain, and France.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?

Yeah. Nice place. Sure, our politicians are morons, but, hey, as long as we don't have Bush, it's all good.

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?

Australia looks nice, actually, But it'd probably be too hot there. Dunno... somewhere with moderate weather.

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?

I'm not quite sure how you would determine if a country is "fat-@$$", but um, sure.
1. USA

2. I was born in Ohio, USA.

3. Yep, I have been to Canada a couple of times.

4. It would be better off without Bush!! But in all honesty, I am very happy where I live. I live in a nice area where it is quiet, but not somewhere out in the country where nobody lives.

5. I suppose Canada, it is the most similar country to the United States, and they speak English for the most part.

6. Definitely.

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
The USA.

2: What country were you born in?
Again, the USA.

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
Yes; I've been to Mexico, Canada, and several islands in the Caribbean.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?
Definitely.

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
Mmm... maybe Australia, since so many TPMers live there. Or the UK. Great relationship with the US, and they're ahead with airing the Pokemon episodes... :D Oh, and they both speak English. Yeah!

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?
That would depend solely on which "big, fat-@$$ nations" you're talking about.

1. Argentina.
2. Argentina.
3. Yes, I have, a few times.
4. Yes, I do. People could be less pessimistic, but I like it here. :)
5. I don't know... Maybe Israel, since I have friends and relatives there, but it would be hard to adapt.
6. No, nations can't be jerks. People can. And people who lead nations often are.

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
Ireland

2: What country were you born in?
Ireland

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
Yep, I've been to Scotland and Spain and this year I'm going to France.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?
Yep. I love Ireland...it's always been my home and it's an inviting place. The people are friendly and helpful. The downside, I guess, is that it can get boring...opportunities in some areas are limitied and with bad reports on international news in the past, I feel disappointed that at times, minorities have given the country a reputation for being troubled. We're okay really ;)

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
I'm really not sure where I'd like to live but Spain would be a nice country I guess. I know a lot of Spanish so I could fit in and develop my language. The weather is also lovely and the people are more than friendly. The only thing I'd hate to do is leave my family. I wouldn't like to live in any massive countries like the US...and I don't fancy England or Wales either - that's really limiting a few places but they're the only ones that I've ever thought 'No thanks' to immediately.

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?
Their leaders can because they get it into their heads that they're better than everyone else but in reality...although a leader represents his or her country, when you look at the US, you know that's not true.

1) Singapore
2) Singapore
3) Yes. Hmm lets see! Besides neighbouring Malaysia, I've also been to Thailand. Yupz as far as I can remember thats it.
4) Other than reasons like low crime rate and cleanliness, I would proberly prefer a country where there are country sides.
5) I would very much prefer Switzerland. Or maybe a house by the beach in southern Japan is not that bad either.
6) Everybody can be one lolz~

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
I'm from brooklyn, new york, USA... I live in bet-shemesh, israel.
2: What country were you born in?
New York, USA...
3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
Yeah. I've been in america, aruba, and israel. Lotsa places in both america and israel, too... like florida and hawaii and stuff. And places in israel that you wont know of.
4: Do you like living in your particular country?
Yes. Its hot, and dry... but thats really the only problem. Its beautiful and its theres lotsa green... with dozens of trees everywhere, and big houses and stuffs. Its nice, and MUCH safer then basically anywhere else in the world.
5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
Canada. I like canada, its cold and Chika's there.
6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?

1: Let's get the obvious out of the way, what country are you from anyway?
I'm from Scotland. Lovely, sunny Scotland. O_o

2: What country were you born in?
Again, Scotland. But I have a Welsh father and an English mother, and my actual accent is English, so you wouldn't have thought I'd come from Scotland if you'd just met me. But I'm Scotland born and bred.

3: Have you ever been out of your home country?
Yes. I've been to England, Tunisia, Andorra, Spain, France, Crete, Tenerife, and America. This summer I'm going to Mexico.

4: Do you like living in your particular country?
Yes, since it's the only place I'm used to living in. I'd like to live in England though because I'd feel more comfortable amongst other people who have english accents.

5: If you had to move out of country, where would you like to go?
England, mainly for the reason stated above. Although Scotland's countryside is an awful lot nicer.

6: (Optional) Can big, fat-@$$ nations be jerks, or what?
Of course. Anybody can be a jerk.
