Book of the Dragon Kings (sign-ups)
NOTE: Please read through everything, for I have added some information in places.
Dragon Claw, and Dragon Scale.
Always Fighting, Tooth and Nail.
From the Farthest Reaches.
Thou shall fight till Time Ceases.
When the Grand Dragon will Revive.
Heralding the End of All Time.
Dragon of Dark, Dragon of Light.
Still thou must fight.
Water and Fire, Still teetering.
Whether one wins, the other losing.
Winds from the Sky, the Earth Quakes.
Breaking the land in your wakes.
Forever, you will be sealed.
So the land can be healed.
But the bonds, Time will break.
And once again the ground shall quake...
(An ancient Scripture found in a Remote Chinese Temple)
Over the centuries, tales of Dragons and their deeds have sparked imaginations over the globe. But in the present day and age of computers and mechanics, such ancient tales are forgotten or ignored.
While tales are recounted in books of lore and myth, there exists a single book, which can revive, if not create Dragons.
This book, known only as the book of the Dragon Kings has sifted through history and found it's way to the present.
The sons and daughters of the Grand Dragon, unhappy at their siblings but yet need each other for balance, had to be sealed up because of their constant feuding. Since then, their bonds have been kept in check by the book of the Dragon Kings, which holds the key to the locks.
Items also exist in connection with this book. Able to unlock certain potential within an individual. Such potential can manifest itself into a physical form, the form of a dragon.
These items take many forms, some in the ancient Pearls of Wisdom, some Dragon Kings held in their hands, others included Jewels, scales, fangs, bones, and other artifacts, used as family heirlooms or for spiritual channeling.
Ancient Magic that protected the Dragons of yore still lives. Magic so old that it comes from a Grand Dragon, the Father of all ancient and old Dragons.
A Dragon so old and so powerful, that if he was released, the world could crumble.
There is an organization, with a single ambition. Using genetic engineering and modern science, they have broken down the magic into easier forms to be used on a much more massive scale. They are obsessed with dragons, and have cloned or created dragons of their own, with no will other than to serve their creators. Their one goal, is to revive the Grand Dragon and have him cleanse the planet of all human civilization.
The “book” can only be ready by those that have the potential to overcome the evil in the world. To unite and purify it's people. To find out what it truly means to be Dragons.

Alright, for Starters Let’s get the 6 Dragon Gods separated first.
Pele: The Dragon God of Fire. She resembles a Western style-Dragon.. Red segmented scales and black stripes down her body. A rectangular head with hooded eyes. Three curved horns sprouting from the back of her head. Spines grow along her spine from behind her head down to the end of her tail. She has long fore-arms and strong hind legs. Her hands have four claws, and her feet have three clawed toes. Bat-like, leathery wings sprout from her shoulders and the wing span is twice her length. Currently she is trapped inside Mount Kilauea on Hawaii. Although she seems to be temperamental and quick to anger, she has sympathy towards her children and those that still worship her.
Ryujin: The Dragon God of the Sea. He was sealed in the “Dragon’s Court,” the Ryugu. The Ryugu is the Sea Dragon King’s palace, which is rightfully where Ryujin should reside. He resembles the classic Asian Dragon, long and serpentine. With blue colored scales and a mane of light blue hair. It’s ears consist of fins and it has webbing in between it’s claws. He has Antlers that are brown and extend from the hoods over his eyes. Having a past relationship with Pele, he is quick to forgive his sister, but has distrust towards his other siblings.
Vritra: The Dragon God of the Earth. A creature so large he can wrap around mountains and reach up to the heavens, he was perceived as a demon in some legends during a past battle with another deity. He is a behemoth, very large, and mostly slow moving. His skin is a dull brown, and he resembles a Komodo in shape. The only difference are rhombus shaped plates that go down his back and a small pair of wings that sprout from his shoulders. The tail is very long and can easily clear an area in one swipe. Currently he is sealed in Mount Everest.
Fujin: The Dragon God of the Winds. A four-winged goddess, she is long and thin, hailing Sky-blue scales that change depending on the weather. Her head is elongated with feathers jutting from behind her head, creating a crown. The four wings she has are made up of feathers instead of the normal leathery bat-like wings. She is sealed up in the arctic, where the winds never stop blowing across the ice-covered landscape.
Quetzalcoatl: The Dragon God of Light. A winged serpent, Quetzalcoatl, is the representation of life, light, and the spirit. His body consists of small arms and legs, a long, thin torso, and a crown of horns at the back of his head. The scales are a pure white and long horns don the back of his head. Currently he is sealed inside the sun
Rahu: The Dragon God of Darkness. A winged serpent as well, his wings are more ragged and jagged than Quetzalcoatl’s, bat-like and leathery. Her arms and legs have more jagged claws and spines protruding from her joints. The horns on her head are more jagged and thorny than Quetz’s and her eyes glow an intimidating red. While Quetzacoatl is sealed in the sun, Rahu is sealed in the moon.
Now the Dragon Gods can turn into a human form at their desire, and they are basically the good guys, no matter how much they fight with each other, or have their followers and children battle.
The Parties Involved:
The Order (Bad Guys, plain and simple):
The Order is an organization obsessed with the tales of the Grand Dragon. A Dragon so large and powerful that it could destroy the world. Because they are believers of the Grand Dragon, they are considered a radical religious group who take the scriptures too far. So far in fact that they have resorted to some of the most un-ethical experiments.
Combining Humans with various Reptilian DNA, they have created some of the most dangerous creatures in existence. Hybrids with various abilities, they are barely controllable and tend to go insane. There are some serial killer cases in which some Hybrids have been responsible for in the past.
Their main objective is to retrieve the Book of the Dragon King and use it’s power to summon the Grand Dragon, and cleanse the earth.
Technologically advanced, they have surpassed the military as far as their weapons and combat systems are concerned. They have been able to break down Magic into it’s basic form and magnify or harness it much easier than by strength of will alone.
Desperate, they will do anything to attain the items that are needed for the Grand Dragon’s revival, even theft and murder.
The Dragon Gods (Good Guys, somewhat…):
These six beings are representations of the 6 Elements of Earth. Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Light, and Darkness. They have numerous Children and followers over the globe. Sealed up in different points around the world, their seals are held by The Book of the Dragon King, which can only be read by someone with an understanding of the Dragon’s Tongue, or with an acute sense of Magic.
The Children of the Gods (Basic Rpers):
These are the children of the Gods, not immortal, but have a very fast recovery rate when injured. They were sealed up in items following the sealing of the Gods. Common items with the Dragon Spirit in them are: Jewelry according to the color of the Element, weapons made from a part of them, and a piece of themselves (i.e. tooth, claw, horn, skull, ect.). These have been handed down for generations with the Dragon Spirits resting contently, until recently…
Humans (Destruction Fodder):
The normal people who go about their everyday lives not knowing that the world may come to an end any second.
Terminology (basic stuff):
Dragon Spirit: The spirit of a Dragon held inside of an object, this can interact with the human in possession of the object through dreams, or though a direct soul-soul communication if the item is constantly held or kept with the person. Sometimes the Dragon Spirit becomes one with the person’s soul, making the Human and Dragon one.
Dragon’s Tongue: The Dragon language, easily dubbed Draconian. It’s an ancient and old language which many modern language systems are based upon.
The Book of the Dragon King: A book which holds the key to releasing the Dragon Gods as well as information on the summoning of the Grand Dragon.
Dragon Items: Items that hold the Dragon Spirit.
Swords of the Dragon Gods: (More information as the RPG progresses.)
Transformations:
I said that the Gods can turn into a Human form, right? Well, the Humans with the Dragon Items can turn into Dragons as well. Only, there are a few catches.
1. The First transformation must either be sparked by reading an incantation, breaking the seal on the Dragon Item, or the person must be under a stressful situation.
2. During the first few transformations the soul of the person is switched with the soul of the Dragon, and will have no memory of the experiences of the dragon. After more transformations the person will begin to experience the feelings and experiences, even while the Dragon’s spirit is in control and in full transformation.
3. There are times when the Dragon spirit and the person’s spirit will become one. There are also times when the Dragons spirit may be a polar opposite to the person’s soul, or very similar.
4. There are several versions of the transformation. Each having either a human or Dragon trait exchanged.
4a. Human: Basic Human traits. No enhanced strength or the like, just your basic average human.
4b. Advanced: Enhanced abilities according to the Dragon’s traits, which could included strength, endurance, speed, sight, scent, ect. There is also a limited Magic usage associated here.
4c. Angelic: Advanced experience in transforming will let the human have their Dragon’s wings to use for flying. Very essential for covering ground quickly and efficiently. Magic usage is more profound.
4d. Dragon: Full fledged Dragon with all the powers and abilities they were given at birth. Strong Magic abilities.
4e. Dragonoid: The final and strongest possible transformation variation. Dragon and Human are merged to create what looks like a Were-Dragon. Human stance, torso shape, and arm shape (with five fingers), Dragon neck, legs, tail, and claws. The head may be a little deformed due to the transformation, but will stay mostly similar to full Dragon-Mode. There is an absence of wings in this transformation. In this Mode, both Human and Dragon are fully merged as one being, their thoughts, feelings, and emotions are the same. Very difficult to achieve and maintain for extended periods of time
Well that was fun, now down to the nitty-gritty of this topic…

His patience is short, just like his temper. “Jump into the fray and never back down,” is his personal motto. Due to his upbringing and size, he grew up to be tough, and to not be underestimated. Like all tough guys, he has a soft side, towards his mother, Pele.

-----------------
The Book of the Dragon Kings
-----------------
The world, is filled with dreams. People live throughout their days, dreaming of a better tomorrow, better lives, better jobs. Materialistic and self-centered, humans have come a long way since the days of mid-evil wars, and yet, haven’t changed. Humans have attacked forests, animals, and even whipped entire species off the face of the earth, through purpose or as an unseen side-effect of their actions.
Some humans notice this and try to make things better for the planet, but most ignore anything that doesn’t enter their small circle of life.
There are some humans, so disgusted with the way things have gone, that they wish to cleanse the earth of all human influence, reducing some of man’s greatest cities into nothing but dust. But despite their advancements in several fields of science, they do not have the power necessary to realize their dream. Instead they must work towards bringing forth a creature so old, it is said to be older than the earth. A beast with the potential to wipe the Earth clean and begin anew.
This is their dream.
While the mass of humans go by their days, not realizing how close the world is to instant destruction, how close this Order is to realizing their own dream, and ending any hopes for the dreams of others.
They are missing one key. A single book that can bring about their dream, and plunging the world into darkness.
Using their vast resources they have managed to track down this book and are close to claiming it as their own.
While Fate is a cruel mistress, Fate, can take a different turn. A turn that may just give humanity one last chance for survival or be eradicated from the face of the earth…
-----------
Denny Roth (3rd Person POV)
-----------
The buzz of the electric alarm clock cried out, over the sound of the radio that had been playing all night. So loud that it woke up the person who had set it the night before.
From under a bundle of blankets and sheets, a hand reached out, fumbling for the alarm clock. Feeling the side with it’s fingers, the ringing of the alarm clock was suddenly silenced.
A groan and a mumble, and the owner of the hand pulled the covers off his head. With sleep in his eyes and a groggy tone to his voice, “It can’t be 8 already…”
Long dark hair was stuck in every direction imaginable as Denny Roth started to crawl out of bed. Sitting on his bed he stared at nothing for several minutes, as was his adopted custom whenever he woke up. Yawning, he decided to move and get ready for classes in an hour and a half.
Dressed in a shirt with a gold Asian dragon and a misty background, and his usual cargo pants, he stood in front of the mirror, brushing his teeth. He thought to himself as the bristles of his toothbrush cleaned the enamel. Here’s a pretty picture.
His long hair was sticking in several directions at once. It would take at least five minutes to settle it all down so he could tire it up in the usual tail he wore it in.
Denny’s hazel eyes stared back as he started to comb his hair down, the water running in the sink. From the look on his face, it didn’t surprise him that people often thought he was older than he was. He always looked older than his real age, it was odd too, but then again, he wasn’t one to brag about guessing ages. He could barely tell himself if he looked at someone and guessed at how old they were.
“Note to self,” he said out loud as he finished combing his hair. “Stop staying up so late.” He looked at the mirror and could see the red in his eyes. Only a few weeks left of college and Denny was already staying up a lot later than he should.
He yawned as he left the bathroom and sat down, making sure he had all the books he would need for the day. He had four classes today, with an hour break in between the first and last two.
His glasses started to slide down his nose, and he pushed them back up with his forefinger. His watch told him he had 20 minutes before he had to leave.
Sitting on the couch, he stared at the blank TV as he listened to the Radio blaring local news stories.
“On donation to the museum, this rare book has been dated to be older than even the Pyramids of Egypt. While the text is not decipherable, experts think that it may hold clues to the origin of modern languages. We can only wait. Onto other news, another mysterious disappearance on campus at Fort Hays State University. This will make the 6th disappearance in the past 3 weeks. Police and campus officials are issuing warnings that people not walk alone and night and stick to groups until the person or people responsible are caught.”
Another disappearance? Denny thought as he grabbed his light blue jacket and torn hat. Good thing I don’t go clubbing at night and stay at home. He rubbed the Fire Stone that was on his necklace between his thumb and finger as he grabbed his pack.
With his bag slew over his shoulder, Denny went out and locked the door. Walking not even a few feet, he got to his bike, that was his second form of transportation to and from the campus.
With a kick, he was off on the alley that would take him to the main street heading to the college.
The morning air felt nice on his face, and the sun was shining on his back. A slight breeze went through the air, making him feel nice and cool, even thought it was reported that today was going to be very warm.
Pedaling, Denny pulled out onto the street that was a straight shot to the college, he wasn’t expecting a moving van to be baring down on him when he turned.
“WHA?!?!?!” He shouted, and tried to pedal faster.
The van swerved and screeched, trying to avoid him. But it didn’t.
The front right bumper slammed into the rear tire on his bike, throwing him completely off and his bike into the air. Denny slammed into the hard ground, sliding for a few feet before finally stopping.
The van didn’t stop and swerved again to maintain control. The force of the swerve caused something to fly up and out of the top hatch of the van.
Denny slowly raised his head and shook it, pain registering from most of his face, but mostly from his cheek, where the ground had the most contact as he slid. He was bleeding.
“Damn Hit and Run Drivers.” he muttered as he heard the fan drive away. He forced himself up, sore and hurting from ridding on the ground. Tares in his clothes and dirt on his skin. This was not the way he wanted to start the day.
He had started to stand up when something thwacked him in his head, forcing him back on to the ground with a thump.
“Damnit.” he muttered as he sat back up. “I can’t get a break today.” He rubbed his head and looked at what had hit him.
An old book, the edges of the cover torn and worn, the engravings of pure gold still shining. The main cover was brown, and the engravings were in the shapes of odd characters of a language that he didn’t even think existed.
He realized that he didn’t have his glasses on and started searching the gravel for them. His fingers ran across a familiar shape and he put his glasses on and looked at the book again.
This time he could read it.
He did a double take.
How could he read it? He had never seen the language a second ago, but now he could read it as clear as day.
“What the?” he muttered as he stared at the cover.
He looked around, saw the mangled back tire of his bike and remembered what he was supposed to be doing.
“BAH! I’m gonna be late!!!” he exclaimed. Quickly he tossed the book in with his other books in his bag, grabbed his bike and started heading towards the college again.
This is NOT the way to start a day.. he thought.

Dragon Information:
Name: Fire Storm (Nicknamed Talon)
Sex: Male
Appearance: Raptor in shape. Orange with a white underbelly. His wings are made of the wing bone with the membrane connecting the tip to the body, bat-like, without the extra wing digits, the membrane is red. Three horns jut out from either side of his head, and a crown of feathers start from the back of his head and extend half way down to his neck. Red spines extend down his spine towards his tail, following his backbone. His claws are black and his arms are longer than those of raptors. The area around his eye is black, along with the horns and feathers on the back of his head. His eyes are a yellowish-green color with a reptilian pupil. He’s small for a Dragon, around 6’7”.
Personality: Short, sweet, and straight to the point, Talon doesn’t care for the round-about way to get things done. His patience is short, just like his temper. “Jump into the fray and never back down,” is his personal motto. Due to his upbringing and size, he grew up to be tough, and to not be underestimated. Like all tough guys, he has a soft side, towards his mother, Pele.

This is NOT the way to start a day.. he thought.
