What the topic says...Have you ever been minding your own business when a celebrity pops out and bites you or something?

I've met Tim Allen at a Red Wings game and Eminem's wife and daughter used to live down the street from my friend so I would be over there when his daughter Haley was there.

Surprisingly, where I live, there is a fair amount of famous people around. And while I haven't really met any of them, I have been in close range of them.

The first is Conan O'Brien, who owns a house adjacent to some family friends. Also, on Easter Mass, I remember seeing him in church. First off, hes REALLY tall. And we were all kneeling, so the height difference really stood out. His red hair was a mess, and his eyes were darting around with this sort of paranoid look. It was quite funny. Also, Christine Baransky attends my church regularly, for she owns a house on the town lake. Cool.

Another is Denis Leary. The comic resides in Roxbury, one of the three towns that makes up the Region 12 community. I've seen him at random events in the town, like I remember him coaching third base for his son's team when I did Little League.

There were others, but I can't really remember right now.

Lets see... not many.

I met the host of "Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego" if that counts. He was doing some live thing at a mall nearby.

Oh and wait! At this other mall I happen to go to often, one day I stumbled upon Destiny's Child performing there live. But I didn't talk to them :<

I have met Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister. And this probably doesn't count, but I live within a mile of Roald Dahl's old house.

If you mean, meeting them, while doing everyday stuff, then no i haven't. But i have met Pam and Mel Tillis (country singers) after one of their shows and had my picture taken with them though its seemed to have disappeared. I'm still looking for it. They were rather nice, though we only got to spend enough time to only have a picture taken and thats it.

Well I've seen/met three. ^^ Once in a pier in San Francisco, we talked to a now ex 49'ers coach. He was the coach at the time. Unfortunately, I can't remember his name. ^^" Also, I remember walking past some really bad boy band from '01. They're a bunch of 14-16 year old boys who sang on Nickelodean and the Disney Channel. XD My family & I saw Robin Williams a few times here since he lives in San Francisco, but we never got the chance to talk with him. My friend's mom is a good pal of his, though. :O

Well, I haven't met any movies stars, but I have met a few mtn biking heros.

Last year I bumped into Hans Rey (A.K.A. God of Trials Riding) at a big race, and this last year I got to get a poster signed by Alison Dunlap. (Tell me you know who Alison Dunlap is, please. Hint: Sidney Olympics, Cross Country Mtn Biking.)

Aside from that, William Shatner owns a ranch about eight miles away, (he's never there though,) and I remember Brad Pitt and Jenifer Aniston were out here looking at a ranch even closer, but I don't think they bought it.

Oh yeah, and I met Rita Mae Brown, the novelist, at a book signing.

That's all I can think of.

What a coincidence, I saw a porno like an hour ago that had a chick that looked like her. What a small world...

I can't say that I've met someone famous, but one of my old friends is a model and I saw her on TRL like a summer ago. Thats about it.

I was almost hit by Aretha Franklin's tour bus... And living in boston, I have seen most of the famous people who go/have gone to harvard...

And I saw ben afleck once... And I knew who he was, and decided to be an ass... I ran up to him, On a bet by the way, and was like "OMIGAWSH! Your the guy from the movies!" and he was like "err... yea" And I said "What was that movie?" and he named some peice of crap like 'good will hunting' and I said "No! Chasing Amy!" and he said "that one too" and then I ran away... All because someone said I wouldn't run up to a famous actor and act like a giddy school girl on the drugs. Go me, Screw Afleck.

And If they count, I have met countless current/former atheletes of varying fame... Including but not limited to Shaq, Antoine Walker, David Ortiz, and Dana Barros

I've met a lot of famous people, and am related to a lot of them too. I've met Steve Bracks (Victorian Premier), and his son (we used to go to the same school), met a couple of AFL players, some authors such as Paul Jennings, and I have met a few singers also when they performed live at a local venue a long time ago. Too long that I don't remember.

I met Johnny Knoxville when I went to Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. I was really lucky. I got to shake his hand and stuff. Then he put his arm around me and we took a picture. Maybe you all will get real lucky and get to see the picture soon. ;)

I have met Dean Kamen, the pretentious bastard who invented the Segway, about 6 or 7 times. I loathed more each time because he was always riding on a damned Segway. I just wanted to knock him off of it.

Uhh, I've met everyone from Sum 41 because they all live/have lived in the town where I reside. I'm pretty close friends with Dave's sister (Dave's the brown dude), her name's Alyssia. I've met Avril Lavinge's sister before-- not actually her, because my cousin who lives in Napanee went out with her sister...

Yeah, so I've only met shitty people-- there's no way I'll meet somebody famous that I actually consider cool.

Adieu,

I met Jim Carrey when I was young, back when he was starting out and when he was married to my dad's best friend's sister-in-law...so I can't really remember. I think I've also seen John Kerry in the streets of Boston a few years ago, too, but I'm glad my grandmother didn't introduce me to him.

I've hung w/ Jehtro Tull... they're friends of my dad (my middle name is Ian after the lead singer Ian Anderson).

I spoke to Steven Tyler of Aerosmith on the phone once, he ws calling to convince my father to sell him the antique fire arm my dad recently aquired. I don't know the whole story behind it, I just answered & he asked for Doug. Lol, I didn't even know it was him until after my dad hung up w/ him.

Also, I used to pet-sit for Triple H's sister after she bought my grandparents house when my grandmother passed away, but I never met him or China.

I saw Bob Knight, the former Indiana basketball coach and current Texas Tech coach. He was in St. Louis (apparantly he's good friends with Tony La Russa, the St. Louis Cardinals' manager), and we passed him on the street. I didn't realize who he was until afterwards, but my dad immediately said upon seeing him, "Hey, it's Bobby Knight! How're you enjoying Texas Tech?"

He glared at us and continued walking. Not exactly the friendliest guy in the world.
