ASB Approval Tower

Alright, here we are once again. The Rules Tower has the basic outline but this place goes into detail. Pay attention and read this thoroughly...


1. You may start out with ONLY 4 Pokemon (Lowest level only. Charmander, Dratini, Pichu, Tyrogue, etc.)
1a. If you choose to have a team of non-evolving Pokemon, 2 of the 4 starting Pokemon has to have the ability to evolve (Ex: Aipom, Tauros, Cubone, Staryu)
2. Abilities are banned FOR NOW (as it's still under construction)
3. The evolution system is simple: 3 Points for a first evolution and 4 Points for a second evolution (evolutions will be posted here and links are mandatory)
3a. The Pokemon in question that evolves will have to have participated in at least one of the battles
4. In the case of Wurmple, Caterpie and Weedle, evolving once will require 1 Point and the second evolution will require 3 Points. For those 3, their first evolutions and Beldum and Magikarp (who will need 3 Points to evolve), battle experience isn't required
5. Catching Pokemon will only require 2 Points
6. If a forefeiting has been done on purpose, it will be considered null if used as a link
7. You must always use this format when evolving or catching a Pokemon. No exceptions.

After loosing to my opponents, I went back to my home town to re-think my team, and with that I left all but King my Shiny male Charmander and Cam my Male Treecko at my father’s lab and then I remembered that when I was in Johto I caught a Female Lapras that I had left behind for my father to study and I also caught a male Trapinch just after I fought a guy named Dark Phoenix in the desert.

While you were gone, I was modded just to take care of ASB for a short while if Karin or Amanda ever left for something. One day, they left without telling me and I was left to take of ASB on its own. Before she left, Amanda thought it was smart to erase every tower in the forum because a new system was going to be implemented and did so --; Of course, that was incredibly stupid. In the end, it was up to me and some of the others to make a new ASB and here we are, after almost 3 months of inactiveness

Battling for weeks on end has always been the way in ASB. In this version though, the winner gets double the money and the loser also gets something, which is nice compensation for a lack of instant evolving in the previous system

Even with the old system, there were still a shortage of refs. I'm not afraid to say that ASB isn't what it was back in 2001. It's not even a stretch to say it probably never will be the same again. It gets its flood of battlers and refs but it soon dies down again, reffing especially. With school starting back up soon and most battlers in high school, not many people will have time to commit to something like reffing 24/7

I'll admit the reffing payment was a bit better in the old system but it didn't bring more people in. If more of the refs feel the same way, I'll tweak the system but I doubt it'll help the incoming of refs

Becca, that is a pure contradiction to the rules. As I have read what Mike was saying earlier this topic, the pokémon must participate in a battle before it evolves.

Since Magikarp has not participated in ANY battles, Magikarp cannot evolve into a Gyarados, according to the rules you posted.

When there is a conflict like that, look at the rules or come to me. Assuming something and then posting without thinking isn't a great idea sometimes (someone just did that a few days ago, you know who you are)

Legacy was Karin's Dratini. Impereon left for some reason and then I was modded just to help out and possibly be in charge if Karin or Amanda were absent for some reason. What they never told me was that they were going to quit ASB and both left around the same time. It was decided that there would be a new system and Raz offered to help out so he was modded. Turned out he did crap so it was pretty much a community effort to restore ASB and here we are today
