In the beginning, there was nothing. Only a mass consisting of both light and darkness. This mass was called Chaos. Then, two angels emerged from the chaos. Sileene the angel of light and Okranus the angel of darkness. Together, they created a world. They named this world Synphoris. On this world, Okranus created the earth, the waters and the night. Sileene created the mountains, the sly and the day. Then the two angels decided to create life. Sileene created the humans, to spread and care for the world. Okranus created monsters, to roam and to live side-by-side with the humans. After their work was finished, the two angels went into a deep sleep, deep within two mountains. The one, which Sileene sleeps in, is called Mt Sileene. The one, which Okranus slumbers in, is called Mt Okranus.

Since then, Synphoris has become a world of peace. The humans and monster are living side by side and together thrive and care for the world, which the angels have intrusted into their care. Synphoris offers peace and harmony for some, and excitement and adventure for others. When someone reaches the age of 14, they are given the choice of wether they wish to become a monster tamer. If they choose to, they are given a monster partner and are sent into the world to seek adventure. Mind you, being a monster tamer isn’t for everyone and some choose not to. Some monster tamers seek glory, others adventure and others treasure.

But now Synphoris isn’t as peaceful as it once was. In the east, the ongoing war between the Rosethorn brothers, Lance and Kane, intensifies to the point where everyone in the east is being forced to fight. In the west, normally peaceful monsters have become wild, attacking innocent people for no reason. The people have become afraid to leave their own homes because of this. In the north, the weather has gone out of control. Some days its freezing cold and then the next it’s a heat wave. Many people have reported seeing to giant behemoths battling in the northern mountains. Meanwhile, the south has been taken over by the Neon Mafia. Their leader, Julius Neon, has appointed himself ruler of the south.

There seems to be no end for these disasters. Who can the people turn to, to save them. Many turn to the monster tamers for aid. Now all the hopes of Synphoris rest on their shoulders. But only two questions remain. Are these catastrophes connected? Is there a far more sinister reason behind them? The future holds the answers and it’s up to the monster tamers to find them.

Now here’re a few things I must explain about the monsters (just so you don’t get confused when you’re making your monsters).

Type: this is based on your monster’s appearance (e.g. wolf, dragon, humanoid etc.) pretty straightforward.

Element: Now, every monster has a base element and a layer element. Now let me explain. The base element is the monster’s main element. The layer element is what element your monster’s attacks contain traces of. E.g., if a monster had a fire base element and an earth layer element. The monster would have all fire attacks with traces of earth element in them. No monster has the same base and layer elements, in other words no fire, fire or water, water.
Here’re the elements available.
Fire: pretty straight forward.
Water: everything associated with water (that includes ice so don’t bug me to put in an ice element).
Earth: earth and rock, that’s it.
Wind: the power of wind…duh.
Light: light energy and also healing (only monster with a light element can use healing moves).
Darkness: dark energy as well as casting curses on the enemy (e.g. blinding, paralysing, putting them to sleep etc.)
Lightning: the power of lightning and thunder.
Spirit: energy attacks (duh).

Evolution: one of the many phenomena that surround monsters. As you may have already guessed, evolution is when a monster changes and becomes more powerful. No one really knows what causes Evolution. Some believe it’s when a monster reaches a point of power, others believe it is when the bond between a monster and its tamer becomes unbreakable. No one really knows.

Fusion: a bit like a man-made form of evolution. The only difference is that it requires to monsters. This is how fusion works. When fusing two monsters together, you must select a base monster and a layer monster. The base monster is what the monster’s type will be and it will have traces of the layer monster. It’s the same with the elements. E.g. if you fused a wolf type monster with a fire base element as your base monster with a dragon type monster with a water base element as your layer monster, you’d get a wolf type monster that has similarities to a dragon (scales, wings, whatever) with fire as its base element and water as its layer element. Confused? Well I can’t explain it any simpler so figure it out.

Eggs: some monsters in Synphoris come from eggs. Most monsters care for their eggs until they hatch, but on rare occasions, tamers can find monster eggs that have been abandoned or something. If you choose to take the egg, you’re responsible for helping it hatch. When the egg hatches, the monster inside immediately become yours, since it will think that you’re its parent.

Other Notes: In the beginning of this RPG, you can start off with up to two monsters. During this RPG, you can have up a maximum of six monsters under your command. If you want another monster, you must release on first.

Now that’s enough about the monsters. Here’s some info about Synphoris.

Northern Continent: a mountainous place filled with snow topped peaks and plenty of adventure. It’s also a nice place to live (as long as you don’t mind the occasional rockslide). The weather there is currently out of control.

Southern Continent: the only place in all of Synphoris that uses electricity. The Southern Continent is really advanced when it comes to science. It’s currently under the rule of Julius Neon of the Neon Mafia.

Eastern Continent: a land filled with forests, plains and grassy meadows. The east is definitely a nice place to live, if it weren’t for the war between the Rosethorn brothers.

Western Continent: a lot like the Wild West. This as an excellent place for those seeking adventure and gold. Lately, monsters have been going wild and attacking innocent people.

Omega Colosseum: a legendary place where the best monster tamers go, to fight for the title of world’s strongest. No one knows the exact location, but clues lie in this riddle.
The place of legend
Lies north of the south
South of the north
East of the west
And west of the east

Mt Sileene: a holy place where the angel of light Sileene is said to be sleeping within. People believe that if you get to the summit and ask Sileene a question, she’ll answer you.

Mt Okranus: a holy place where the angel of darkness Okranus is said to be sleeping. Many monsters appear on this mountain, and if a monster reaches the summit, Okranus will give that monster incredible power.

Famous people throughout Synphoris (these guys shall remain NPCs):

Seth: a legendary monster tamer. No one really knows a single thing about him. He wields incredibly powerful monsters.

Lance Rosethorn: known as the Duke of the Red Rose. Lance wants only peace and harmony for the people of the eastern continent. To gain this, he must stop his evil brother Kane.

Kane Rosethorn: known as the Count of White Roses. Kane wants to create a world free of war and to do this, he believes he must rule all of Synphoris. The only thing in his way is his brother Lance.

Julius Neon: the infamous leader of the Neon Mafia. This guy’s a few sparkplugs short of an engine. This guy mainly uses monsters with a lightning base element.

Dante Sturm (third person view)
----------------------------------------------------
An explosion rocked the town of Yaris as the front wall of the Yaris bank was blown away. Out of the smoke ran three figures. One a human, and two monsters.
“Stop him!” cried the teller, as he staggered out of the smoke, “It’s Dante Sturm!” Dante chuckled to himself as he and his monster companions ran through the streets. A loud roar erupted from behind the three bandits and two giant, worm like monsters rose from the earth.
Sand Worms! This could cause a few problems!
The worms took aim and fire large blasts of mud at the three, just narrowly missing him. One nearly sent Dante toppling over.
“There’s the station!” cried Joker, pointing ahead. A smile spread across Dante’s face. The bandits managed to reach the station before the worms managed to land a lucky shot.
“They’re in the station!” cried one of the authorities.
“We’ve got them now!” The sheriff and his three deputies ran into the station and immediately split up, searching for the wanted criminal. After a few minutes, they met up on the platform, the train was just leaving.
“Did you find him?” The sheriff asked. The three deputies shook their heads.
“Hey Sheriff!” called a voice. The four law enforcers looked to see Dante and his monsters sitting on the roof of one of the train carriages. The same train that was leaving.
“Let’s get him!” one of the deputies cried. The sheriff stopped him.
“We’ll never get him now.” He said.
“Darn it!!”

Dante laughed as the trains sped away from Yaris.
“So Joker,” he asked his friend, “did you find out where this steamer’s heading?”
“Granom boss,” joker replied.
“The mining town? Okay then.” Dante pulled off his shades.
“Well, in the meantime, why don’t we head to the dining cart for something to eat?” Dante’s monsters liked that idea, especially Drake, who gave a happy roar.

Name: Menelvir Laerien
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Occupation: Travelling musician
Appearance: Menelvir's long bright red hair is a deep contrast to her sparkling green eyes. Standing at 5'11", she is taller than most girls her age. She is of average build. Menelvir usually wears bright colours, her favourite outfit being a mint green tube top that brings out the colour of her eyes, knee-length denim skirt, and tall black boots. Around her neck is a ruby phoenix pendant with the Chinese symbol for 'phoenix' carved behind it. Menelvir also has a black cloak for cold nights. This cloak has the special ability to make her incisible when she wishes.
Personalty: Menelvir is a playful and boisterous girl, who can get rash and impudent at times. However, she is also a willing listener and cares a lot more for her friends than she shows. Menelvir is also the naive type who sometimes gets into sticky situations.
History: Her family died in a forest fire at their home in the Eastern continent when Menelvir was 12. The fire, caused by hot and dry weather, had razed the entire village to the ground, and she only survived because Tenebrus, her first beast, had rescued her before the flames reached her. Grieving, she left the Eastern Continent with Tenebrus and her flute and cello to travel as a musician. She took on Keisha two years later, when a stranger gave her a box of phoenix ashes when she performed at a grand occasion in the Eastern Continent. Menelvir currently travels in the Western Continent.
Relations: She's got a thing for bandits, in particular, one Dante Sturm.
Other: Plays the flute and the cello...

Name: Tenebrus
Type: Thestral (couldn't resist...)
Appearance: A horse-like creature that looks completely fleshless. His black coat clings to his skeleton, with every bone visible. His head is dragonish, and his pupil-less eyes are white, although they glow red when Tenebrus feels fear or anger. His wings that sprout from either side are black and leathery. Tenebrus has the ability to make himself invisible as and when he wishes.
Personality: Quiet and reserved, Tenebrus gives others an impression that he can be easily pushed around. Menelvir knows better, however. Tenebrus is loyal to Menelvir and will not let anything harm her, if he can help it. When roused, Tenebrus can be rather fierce. Tenebrus also has great sense of direction, which is good, seeing that Menelvir is the type who always gets lost.
Base Element: Wind
Layer Element: Spirit
Attacks:
~ Kamikaze Storm: Tenebrus's eyes glow red, and he raises his head, gives a shrill cry unheard by most due to the high frequency, all signs of madness. And then he goes on a trampage that usually ends up with him injured and his victim dead.
~ Spirit of Loyalty: In the most dire of situations, Tenebrus is able to use this attack so that whatever damage Menelvir takes, Tenebrus gets hurt in her stead. This usually helps boost his anger, and gear him up for Kamikaze Storm.
Other: Tenebrus and Menelvir share a telepathic bond. Also, even when nothing else can, the sound of Menelvir's voice, flute and cello can calm Tenebrus.

Name: Keisha
Type: Phoenix
Appearance: A large magnificent bird the size of a swan with stunning red and gold plumage. Her eyes are golden, as are her tail feathers, beak and talons. The rest is red. Every three months, she bursts into flames, only to be reborn from the ashes again within the hour. when freshly reborn, she looks rather wrinkled and ugly, but it regains its original glory within 2 days.
Personality: Like all phoenixes, Keisha is gentle and would never hurt another unnecesarily. She is also a highly loyal monster.
Base Element: Fire
Layer Element: Light
Attacks:
~ Esten en Laer (Song of Hope): Keisha sings in her low, warm voice, raising Menelvir and Tenebrus's spirits, giving them the strength and courage to fight on.
~ Sweet Waters: Keisha cries into the wounds of the injured party, closing it up, and thus healing him or her. These tears can be drunk to revive a downed ally. The tears, however, are unable to give life to the dead.
Other: Also shares a telepathic bond with Menelvir.

*^~Menelvir Laerien~^*

The steam engine gave a loud blast, and with a jolt, the train started to pull out of the Yaris station. I closed my eyes and prepared for a long journey, but a split-second later, I snapped them open again, as a shout rose above the pandemonium outside.

“Let’s get him!” a police deputy was shouting. He was with two other deputies and a sherrif. All four were looking at the roof of the train I was on. Curiously, I stuck my head out of the window to see who there were looking at.

A handsome young man with white hair and shades sat on there with his two monsters, grinning and waving at the sherrif and the deputies as the train gathered speed. The figures of authority cursed as they faded away from view, too small to be seen. I leaned back into my seat once more and started to stroke Keisha absent-mindedly. My other monster, Tenebrus, was fast asleep, his breathing uneasy. Normally, I would have flown on Tenebrus to get to another town. It was faster, cheaper and more fun. But Tenebrus was down with a flu virus, and he needed his rest, just as I urgently needed to Granom. The boss of a mining company there was having a large-scale party for his son's coming-of-age at 21 years old, and I had been invited to play there. The boss had promised a large sum of money for my performance, and while not necessary, the money would be useful.

"Take care of Tenebrus," I told Keisha telepathically. Keisha bowed her manificent fiery head, and I left the compartment and headed for the dining cart.

There, I found the handsome bandit who had escaped the sherrif and the deputies at the Yaris train station, and his monsters. One was dressed in the motley of a clown, and the other resembled a dragon, only without wings. I pulled up a chair near them.

"That was some show you put up there," I told the bandit. "My name is Menelvir, and you are..."

Tends to be klutzy at times (unless doing his magic tricks)
History: Eugene grew up in the Northern Continent with a sense of imagination, inspired by his father's adventures as a tamer. Eugene grew a taste for whimsy and wonder, which lead to his interest in 'magic'. Somehow, he managed to self-teach many of the tricks he performed. He later, at the age 14, obtained the Water dragon Tiamat, and began to travel to find others who practiced the same trade as him. He later came across a monster called Chariot, a pegasus monster causing havok in the mountains. Tiamat quickly brought him down, and Chariot has been Eugene's companion ever since.

Eugene-Magician

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Okay," I smiled to Tiamat, "Is this your card?"

I didn't even need to look at the card in my hand, I knew it was the right card. I had practiced this trick for years until it almost became 2nd nature to me.

Tiamat nodded, a slight smile played across her face. If there was one thing I especially liked about Tiamat, it was that she could be amused by the same magic trick over and over.

"Alright," I said self-satisfactory, "I'm getting good. It's just a shame I can't practice any escapist tricks. It's not easy being a traveling magician."

Tiamat only nodded. She could talk, but didn't do it much. Chariot snorted behind me, his way of indicating that he was bored stiff.

"I know," I chuckled, "You don't care about magic; you just want to battle."

At this point I got serious, and sat down on a rock. I quickly pulled out a pencil and my notepad.

"Alright," I muttered, "According to the townsfolk, the Troll was last seen heading north. Hmm."

What started as a way to pay the bills, quickly became my full time job. The Western Continent was plagued by violent attacks from wild monsters. While I couldn't handle all of them, I was only supposed to scare away the major problems. I'd get paid depending on how big a problem the monster presented.

The troll in particular had been a major problem. It never attacked the towns directly, but kept raiding travelling parties and taking whatever they had. It caused a major trade shortage in a small town that I was currently resident of. Current attempts to subdue it have proven to fail.

I pulled out a map of the current area, and began drawing lines and marking places.

"Alright, according to reports, he always attacks roads near the same three towns. After, which he travels west from Irontown, south of Kairo, and north of our town."

Not like this was rocket science, everyone else knew this, too. I marked the three towns and then began to draw lines in their respective directions. At one point, the lines intersected. I drew a circle around the intersection.

"Okay," I muttered, "This area is most likely where he lives."

I began to examine the circle I made on the map.

"Hmm, there isn't a mountain range in that area. So what is the most likely place that he would use for home?"

Tiamat only shrugged, Chariot gave me that 'how should I know' look. I sighed and re-folded the map.

"Alright, let's head back into town. I'm sure the local sheriff knows if there are any caves or unused mines in that area."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
So are you two in the Southern Continent or Western Continent? I can't really tell for sure.

The leaves were lush green that day...
The day that everything in my life changed. I was only 7 I think, I had blocked out most of it. Mostly because I wanted nothing to do with that memory, but it haunted my dreams. And kept me from going into deep thought. No one had really heard of someone fearing a memory so much, but the fact that my life went downhill from there, and the weather changes screwed me up. Well I feared a memory.
I had just turned 7 about an hour before it happened; I had anticipated my father returning from the city outside of the mountain ranges all day. Because he always brought me home something beautiful.
But he never came home; he had been about 3 quarters of the way when it happened...
There was a loud rumbled outside of the village, and everyone went to check it out, a rock slide had happened and someone had got caught in it. I had seen the blood coming outwards, away from the jagged rocks. I had thought nothing of it, yes it was said but what was a 7 year old suppose to think of it.
It was my mother who gave me a clue, when she was crying, never before had she cried that way, she was scare, and was shaking.
"Jaina...."

I was awakened by a loud and chilling screech. Something, or someone was coming, and obviously my monster knew nothing of being stealthy, screeching was not away to keep unnoticed.
I looked up towards him; a giant eagle was starring straight at me with a distressed look on his face. He was a brilliant gold, his eyes were emerald, but this eagle was different...
His behind was of a palomino horse. Though still containing the gold, his hooves and claws were an ivory color, and his tail was a shining blond/gold color.
'StormClaw...' I thought, as I stood up, looking outwards, towards the path. A goblin was coming down the road, and he looked surprisingly happy for a normally depressed monster.
"Heh heh.." He was tossing a bag of gold, a bag of gold I wanted. I could by stuff with that. And he obviously stole it; goblins don't make an honest living.
I grabbed my bow and one shining gold arrow, carefully I aimed it for his neck. Narrowing my eyes, I tightened my bowstring, ready to release.
SWOOSH
"Crap..." I muttered under my breath, as StormClaw started teasing the goblin. I dropped my bow and arrow, as I ran out to try to get the bag of gold the goblin had dropped so foolishly.
A dull brown bag was mine; I ran into the bushes and scrambled up the tree, enjoying the sight of StormClaw teasing his new toy goblin.
"This could take awhile..." I murmured, as I fell asleep.

"Sorry to interupt your little date, but I'm turnin you in Dante Sturm," I voice spoke from behind me. I turned to see who it was. A young man with dark blue eyes and spiky hair, dressed in the regalia of a bounty hunter, and his monster, a red fur wolf. With casual ease, I turned my chair around to face him and grinned.

"Take it easy," I said, my voice relaxed. I wasn't sure why I ws trying to cover up for this bandit, this Dante Sturm. All I knew is that Dante, like this bounty hunter, and like myself, was trying to make a living. And his choice of occupation happened to be a thief. There was nothing wrong with that. I had always envied bandits for their fun and easy-going nature, and the almost care-free life they led.

"It's rude to butt in on someone else's conversation without introducing yourself first," I continued. The bounty hunter glared at me.

"Ark Lancast, and this is Daisuke," the bounty hunter growed.

"Pleasure," I said, nodding.

"And you must be a bandit too, if you don't mind running around with the notorious Dante Sturm," Ark continued in the same threathening tone. "And I should turn you in as well." I laughed, amused.

"Do I really look like a bandit to you?" I asked, raising one eyebrow. This was interesting. "Nope, sorry Mr. Lancast, you've got it wrong. My name is Menelvir Laerien, and I'm a travelling musician, a bard, if you please. And I happen to take a neutral stance on going-ons between bandits and bounty hunters.

Name: Daemon Senthrin
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Occupation: Astronomer/Astrologist
Appearance: From the top down... His hair is dark brown, around 2 inches on top and tapers down to his ears and the nape of his neck. It is simply parted down the center. His eyes are a green-hazel color and are typically bright and full of joy. His body is of a smaller stature, and is balanced between muscle and "flab" (for lack of a better term). He wears a burnt-orange button-down shirt that has a black marking pattern circling the bottom and along the button line. Around Daemon's neck is a sterling silver chain with a brilliant round crystal, inscribed with the 8 symbols of the elements, hung from it. He wears black jeans, which are marked with white symbols that correspond to the astrological signs of Synphoris. Daemon wears simple street shoes on his feet which are indigo blue in color.
Personalty: Contradictory to the sound of his name, Daemon is quite shy at heart. He is typically outspoken about his opinion, and though he doesn't show it, becomes more and more distressed as his feelings are subdued. After some time, he usually has a short explosion of emotion. Althought short of blantant comments, he is quite the loyal ally! He knows his strengths lie inside and knows how to control them in battle and with others. He can be said to have a "heavy shoulder" because he is willing to let people vent on him when they have feelings of dispair or depression, but he enjoys listening to what everyone has to say. Even against his nature, though, he has the compulsory sense to defend anyone that he feels is close to him, no matter what the consequences. His ability to read the stars and use them as a guide is proof to people of his vast knowledge of spiritual beings....
History: His mother, Tristinia, was a philosipher of minor proportions... Known only for her wise advice in a small village in the Northern Continent. She had been a collector of "sacred" objects which were said to contain clues to the exact whereabouts of the Omega Colosseum. In one of her travels to the Western Continent, she was stormed by a pack of ravenous wolves. When word of Tristinia's untimely (and quite unsightly) death reached Daemon's ears, he decided to take up the path that his mother left for him. At that time, he had just turned 14 and was able to take up Taming as well to help in his journey (something his mother did not have). Several year later, after a rather disturbing amount of time alone, he still has only a vague idea of where the Omega Colosseum is...
Relations: Friends with Jaina Proudmoore. (But he's trying to get closer to her!) ^_^
Other: The Crystal pentant is the link between Daemon and his monsters. (See below) Oohhh, right there with the things and the trauma and everything gone dead and the people with the psychologists and the extra medication for all...

Name: Jetsream
Type: Giant Moth/Insect
Appearance: Giant lavender colored Luna Moth with rainbow colored powder on its wings. There is a giant black tornado-like symbol on its back which represents his relation to the wind element.
Personality: Very lax. Jetstream is one that would highly believe in the statement "Slow and stead wins the race." But it's not his attacks that are lathargic, it's his movement, which is sometimes good, other times bad. Yet he is very passionate to those he holds dear (namely Daemon and Aurora)
Base Element: Wind
Layer Element: Lightning
Attacks:
~~Wind Storm: Jetstream flaps his large wings, causing tornado like conditions in the vacinity. The winds can be enough to lift an enemy off their feet for a few seconds. They could also be paralyzed by Lightning currents conducted through the wind.
~~Shear Wall: Jetstream flies into the sky and forces a strong gust of wind towards the ground. The gust turns into a sharp sheet of gales that can press to enemy to the ground or knock them completely off of their feet.
Other: When Jetstream and Daemon are in perfect synchronization, the crystal about Daemon's neck glows Light Blue.

Name: Aurora
Type: Human/Peacock Hybrid
Appearance: Her upper body (above torso) has the look of a beautiful human seductrice. But rather than standing on human legs, she has the lower half of a peacock, in which she stands on bird-like feet. Her plumage is that of a peacock and can be fanned out to produce a fabulous rainbow of colors.
Personality: Just the opposite of Jetstream, Aurora is energetic and full of vigor. She has a bit of a sharp attitude, but is easily overlooked because of her beauty. She will jump into the midst of battle to help in anyway she can. She is very protective of even people she has just met (that are nice to her).
Base Element: Light
Layer Element: Spirit
Attacks:
~~Recover Blast: A ball of healing energy is gathered above her head and is released into the air where it divides into a mini-fireworks display of curative magic for her party. Can be use to do some damage to enemies of Major or Minor Dark Element (more damage to Major, less to Minor).
~~Shining Beam: A brilliant flash of light, created in Aurora's hands, may blind some that are in close enough range. A beam of harmful light then leaves her palms, damaging all in it's path. The only downside to the beam is that it is a single straight shot.
Others: Aurora cannot fly, but can run decently fast. (Think Ostrich) When Aurora and Daemon are in perfect synchronization, the crystal about Daemon's neck glows pure White.

~~~~~~~~|Daemon Senthrin: Astrologist|~~~~~~~~
It had been mere seconds after I layed down in the lush grass below a tree before my eyes began to feel heavy and slowly close. I fell quickly into a comfortable slumber, which was a relief from all of the traveling I had done the evening before. As a holder of the cosmos' knowledge, I prefered to travel in the night, under the shimmering stars and glowing moon. But now it was just before noon, and I needed sleep... BAD!
I slowly drifted away, but something kept bumping the side of my left leg. I thought it may have been Aurora, squirming next to me, so I smacked at it, still mostly asleep. The irritating rubbing continued and I squinted my eyes open. An unfamiliar shadow was fiddling with something on my side. In an instant reaction, I sat straight up, eyes wide open, and stared at a small goblin unclipping the snap for my money satchel!!! The loops fell away as I jolted up, allowing the little rascal to hastily make off with my gold!
I scrambled clumsily to my feet and hopped upon Jetstream's back calling, "Let's go, boy. That heathen's got my cash!" He lathargically flapped his wings, causing us to hover just above the ground. Within a moment, we were leaving a wake in the grassy plain behind us, in hot pursuit of the doomed creature, Aurora was running close behind.
The goblin soon disappeared into the weeds as they became much more overgrown than what was behind us. "Darn. Did we lose him?" I asked aloud as I look into the sky for help. As I did, the large shadow of a bird-like creature passed by. The flying beast swooped just above us, rocketing past with an intent look on it's face. I recognized the animal... "Does she have a goblin now too?"
We moved quickly over the tall plants until they soon dropped to the visible horizon once again. Here, I found the goblin, the flying creature, and a familiar girl in a tree. "Jetstream, use Wind Storm on that theif!" I commanded to him in a gentle, but powerful voice. The winds began to brew as the giant moth began to flap his wings in the direction of the goblin. As the wind speed grew around it, the small bandit lifted off of his feet and into the air. In a final gust, Jetsteam blew the goblin far from it's previous position... Yet, I found no pouch left behind. "I know that the wind would have knocked it off of him, but there's no sign of it...."
The girl in the tree jumped down and to keep her identity hidden from me, she landed on the reverse side as myself. I climbed off Jetstream's back, silently approaching the small tree. "Hello, Daemon. It's been a while..." I knew the voice immediately as it hit my ears. I peeked around the tree to find who I had expect. "Jaina Proudmoore. My, has time passed since last I seen you!" I smiled and blushed as I leaned against the tree next to her... We had never been all that close, but I hoped that I could change that soon...
He leaned against the tree, it was Daemon. We weren't close friends, but it was nice to have some company now and then, it got pretty boring talking to someone you can't understand like StormClaw.
"Is this your gold?" I asked, he looked down at the bag that I was holding, then back up at me.
"Yes it is. Thanks."
"No problem." I answered, s I picked up my bow and arrow. StormClaw and Daemons monsters Aurora and Jetstream, were playing around on the road. The usually played like that, but I was getting the feeling that StormClaw and a special place for Aurora. Just by the way he was acting. "So.." I said, trying to bring up and conversation. "What’s brings you up and around these mountain paths?"
"Well its nice up here. And at night I can see the stars and such really well." He began, looked back at me. "Why are you around here?"
"I'm monster hunting, a lot of villagers have been complaining about goblins, trolls and Crypt Griffons attacking so.. Me and StormClaw are here to stop it, and earn some cash." I stated happily, yet nervously. I was turning away when I turned my head to look at him. "You want to come along?"
This lady was starting to get on my last nerve. I shifted my feet around, so that I could grab knife if I need it.
"Whatever, you stupid muscician, I'm here for.." I said, before the girl spoke up again.
"Bard." She said, interupting me.
"WHAT EVER!" I yelled, getting very fustrated.
"I'm here for Dante, not you! Daisuke, get em!" I yelled, Daisuke jumping at him.
"Joker, go!" He yelled.
"BLACK LIGHTING!" The jester yelled as a ball of electric energy was shot at Daisuke. He dodged, and his tail was sparked with electrical energy.
"Lightning Tail!!!" He smashed his tail agaisn't the jester, who doubled back and jumped on top of Daisuke.
"Eat this! Black Lightning!" The jester threw the same kind of electrical energy at Daisuke, but it seemed it was more powerful. Daisuke go hit, and doubled over, landing on his back, then moved back on his feet. He growled.
"Lucky Shot." He said. They charged at eachother. I looked at the girl. She was sitting there, appearing amused at this. I looked at Dante. He was just looking strat at Daisuke. I then noticed a wingless dragon next to Dante. If that dragon attacked Daisuke from behind......I had to think of something to get this guy in. I then thought of something. It was dirty, but I was low on money, and I needed it. I grabbed my knife. Time to grab a traditional girlfriend hostage situation.
Name: Shard Datura
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Occupation: Adventurer
Appearance: Waist-length flame red hair, usually done up into twin braids at each temple and strung with glittery charms and bells, and deep blue-green eyes flecked with tiny bits of crimson. Wears a black leather vest over a red cotton tube-top, and black pants with a red stripe on both sides of the pantleg which go down to mid-calf and tuck into red leather boots with a black stripe around the top of each boot and down either side. A black cloth choker hugs the curve of her neck, from which is suspended a tear-shaped ruby. Wears the barest minimum of makeup, a dusting of blush across her high cheekbones, traces of crimson lipstick highlighting the natural ruby of her lips...she's really quite pretty. Her clothing frames her curves well.
Personality: Spicy and tempestuous, but has a kind soul and likes to help others. Tends to speak her mind. Almost permanently afflicted with wanderlust, and can't bear to stay in one place for more than a little while.
History: Born and raised in the Eastern Continent, the youngest of 5 children. Each of her elder siblings are tamers as well. Shard had barely turned 14 when she was given the choice of becoming a tamer like her siblings. She met her partner Pentagram, and took the plunge. They left together in search of adventure. She hasn't returned home since, because she doesn't want to get sucked into the feud between the Rosethorn brothers (She personally prefers Lance over Kane, but the real reason she doesn't wish to fight is that her older brothers Marius and Luke support Kane, while her older sisters Becca and Mari support Lance). While attempting to climb Mt. Sileene, she discovered a monster egg that had been abandoned, and adopted it. Soon after, it hatched, and Shard became "mother" to the little monster inside, which she named Ankh. Currently roaming somewhere within the Western Continent, helping to keep wild monsters from terrorizing villages and occasionally tracking bandits for hunting parties.
Relations: Open.
Other:
Name: Pentagram
Type: Nightmare (demon horse)
Appearance: Looks like a normal horse, except his coat is sooty, gleaming black. His mane and tail are brilliant red and appear to be made of flames. His hooves are black and hard as diamond. His eyes glow crimson. Upon his chest is a red birthmark, shaped like a pentagram.
Personality: Fierce and brave, Penta has a kind soul just like his mistress. He's very protective of Shard, and shares her wanderlust. Doesn't speak English, but understands it, and Shard understands him pretty well. Will only let those who he calls friend ride him.
Base Element: Darkness
Layer Element: Fire
Attacks:
Devil Flare: By focusing himself, Penta can generate a beam of red-laced purple energy from his eyes, causing the victim to suffer a random curse as well as burning them.
Blaze of Glory: Using this attack, Penta's entire body glows a red-laced dark purple, and he goes berserk, biting and kicking his victim. Only the death of his foe or Shard's command can make him snap out of it. Hasn't quite mastered discerning friend from foe while using this attack, and will occasionally attack his friends (other than Shard, of course).
Other:
Name: Ankh
Type: Phoenix
Appearance: The size of an eagle, her feathers are red and silver, and appear as if they're on fire. Her talons are long and red-tipped. Her head is crowned with a magnificent crest of red, orange, silver, and gold feathers, and her eyes are a pure, molten gold. Golden-orange beak, slightly hooked at the end.
Personality: Sweet and gentle. Views Shard as her "mother". Is an excellent tracker. Speaks rudimentary English, mostly mixed with various chirps, squawks, whistles and singing, barely understandable by anyone other than Shard. Adores being scratched and petted on the head.
Base Element: Light
Layer Element: Fire
Attacks:
Pearl Tear: Laying her head upon a wound, Ankh cries thick, pearly tears which stream onto the wound and heal it. Can heal light to serious wounds with this move, cannot bring the dead back to life or regenerate lost limbs. Can keep a person with a fatal wound alive for a time, but cannot fully heal them.
Flame Dive: Her talons glow with red-laced white fire, and she dives down upon her victim, slashing them with her talons and causing minor fire damage.
Other:
Shard Datura (Pentagram and Ankh)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
She'd had to pay extra money to get Pentagram on the train, but it'd been worth it. Shard had made sure he'd be comfortable in his stall, then had returned to her seat. Sprawled out next to her was Ankh, resting comfortably. The Phoenix stretched her wings now and then. Seeing her sit down, Ankh began to whistle and chirp, and after a moment, Shard was able to discern what the bird was saying. She reached over, scratching Ankh upon the head, illiciting a soft cooing from the bird.
"Yes, Penta will be OK."
Shard relaxed for a while, sinking deep into the comfortable cushioning of the chair. She had nearly dozed off when the nearby commotion roused her. Swearing softly, she picked up Ankh, and maneuvered closer to where the noise was coming from. A monster fight.
Shard watched with interest as the monsters battled, occasionally stroking Ankh's feathered head.
"So, you're saying that there is an old cave in that vicinity?" I said.
"Yep," the old man responded, "Been there m'self. It had a good yield for awhile, but then we tapped out the vein. It hasn't been used for a long time."
The sheriff himself didn't know anything in that particular area, but this was the West. This place had no shortage of miners who wanted to strike it rich. The old man, Pierce, happened to be one of the more friendly people I've met in this town.
<The Troll would have most likely used that as a home> I thought to myself, <It's spacious, especially after the miners dug in further.>
"Thanks, Pierce," I said, "Hope you're arm gets better."
I began to walk away, but Pierce flagged me down.
"Just a piece of advice, Presto," he told me, "Don't underestimate the troll; they are a lot smarter than people believe."
I nodded in acknowledgement of the advice, Trolls were tough and this one seemed to know how to cause considerable harm.
I walked out of the salloon to greet Tiamat and Chariot. I clicked my tongue, and Tiamat began to lower herself for me to get on.
"Alright, let's fly north. We don't land 'till the sun comes down. We need to find a cave near a small lake."
I had this guy on the ropes when suddenly, he whiped out a knife and grabbed Menelvir.
"Give up Dante or your girlfriend dies," he said. I sneered. This was an all time low. Even I wouldn't do that. I sw Darkling sneaking up behind him. I rose my hands into the air.
"You win Ark," I said, "I give up." Ark smiled and released the girl.
"Now!" I cried. Drakling fired his fireball attack, sending the two off balance. I grabbed Menelvir.
"Let's go!" I yelled, turning to run.
"You win Ark," Dante said, sighing most convincingly. "I give up." Ark smiled and I felt his grip on me slacken.
"Now!" Dante shouted, grabbing me by the arm. Drakling fired his fireball attack, sending the two off balance.
"Let's go!" Dante yelled, turning to run. He dragged me past two compartments, before he got to an empty one.
"In here, quickly!" Dante shove me unceremoniously into the compartment. My shock slowly faded away.
"Maybe you three can get out through the window,"I told Dante and his monsters. "Go to my compartment, three windows down. Keisha will understand. And I'll hold the bounty hunter off."
"Who's -" Dante began, confused.
"My monster. She's a phoenix. Go." Dante's monsters were already making their way out of the window, Drakling with some difficulty. Dante shoved at Drakling's rear end, nodded at me, then disappeared through the window.
I sat down near the door of the compartment and pulled my flute out of it's velvet casing at my waist. As Ark's heavy footsteps drew closer to where I was, I raised my flute to my lips and played a slow, enchanting melody.
The compartment door slid open with a snap and Ark entered, followed closely by Daisuke.
"Where is the bandit, girl?" Ark shouted. I ignored him and continued to play the melody, my eyes closed.
"Answer me!" Ark shouted. Again, I ignored him. Ark started to curse and swear. When he was done, he turned to his monster, but Daisuke was already fast asleep. Ark cursed again, before grabbing my arm, pulling the flute away from my mouth. I twisted my wrist around to get free from his grasp. From outside the compartment, there came a sudden cry of a phoenix, terrifying and magestic, but at the same time gentle and sweet.
Keisha entered the compartment with a long sweep of her wings, and aimed her talons straight for Ark's eyes. "Here!" I said quickly, holding out my arm. Keisha changed her course and landed on my arm. I stroked Keisha with my left hand, then turned to Ark.
"Mr. Lancast, meet my monster, Keisha."
"Ya know what, I don't wanna hurt a girl, or a phoenix, so I'm just gonna leave." I said, and started to go back to my cart.
"They why did you take me hostage?" She asked. I stopped.
"Drastic Measures. Headaches. Lack of food and money." I said, then started to leave again. I kicked Daisuke and he woke up, and then started leaving.
"Sorry if I made a bad impression, I'm acually nice, if ya get to know me."
"....." She was speachless. I could tell. I went back to my cart. I sat down and put my head against the window.
"Why'd ya let her go?" Daisuke asked me. I looked at him.
"She reminds me of my mom." I said, then put my head back on the window.
"Or atleast as much as I can remember her." I then, fell asleep.
Joker, Drakling and I sat at Menelvir’s compartment, waiting for her to get back. I was absently stroking her monster Tenebrus, which was lying next to me. The door slid open and Menelvir and her monster Keishi walked in.
“Good to see you guys made it here alright,” she said, sitting opposite with me.
“It wasn’t hard,” I replied. There was a small silence.
“Hey Menelvir,” I asked, “Why did you help us?” Menelvir was taken aback by this.
“Well,” she replied, ”I don’t see anything wrong with what you’re doing. We all have to make a living and you chose to be a bandit. Besides, you saved me.”
“That was different. You were an innocent bystander. I’m one of the most wanted people in all of Synphoris.”
“There’s nothing wrong with that.” I couldn’t believe what she was saying. She sincerely thought there was nothing wrong with being a bandit.
“See,” Joker said, “I told you it wasn’t because she has the hots for you.” My face instantly turned red.
“Don’t say that!” I cried, trying to shut him up. Menelvir just laughed. That’s when I noticed Drakling staring out the window. I watched the scenery go by.
“It’s getting dark,” I said. Menelvir just nodded.
“Do you want to stay here for the night?” It was obvious what I was going to say. There wasn’t anywhere else on the train to go.
“Sure,” I answered.
Sorry I didn't sign up before, but to be honest I haven't been on for awhile. I was on vacation. I hope I can still sign up though!
Name: Illusen Glade
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Occupation: Healer/Adventurer
Appearance: Illusen stands at 5"3. Her hair is the color of sand and is cut only inches from her head so it spikes out back. Her bangs are grown out long and are braided, and go back her head to make a naturaul headband. Her eyes are a deep and gentle blue that always look like she is about to start crying. Her skin is very pale, despite how much sunlight she comes in contact with. She wears a very "airy" white blouse that lays on her almost like a veil. It has a sky blue collar. The sleeves are longer then her arms, and are cut so one side is longer then the rest. Many skirts of a simialar style hang down from her waist in a sky of whites, blues, and violets that are cut so she almost looks like a blossoming flower. She wears a simple pair of brown sandals that's straps criss cross up her leg. She also has a large bag thaat she wears over her shoulder. It is faded brown with alot of flaps swinging over from the top.
Personalty: Illusen can be best describe in three words: Shy, emotional, quiet. She doesn't think very high of herself, so is always trying to back out of doing things in fear that she will do something wrong. She is easily insulted, and takes everything personally, and easily being brought to tears. She has almost NO confidence in herself whatsoever, she thinks that she is a complete failure in everything she does. She is very reclusive around people, and it is nearly impossible for someone to get close to her. By the tme someone tries to get to know her, they have already givven up on her. Despite how cruel most people are to her, she still believes that all people are good somewhere. She doesn't fight unless people are in danger because even though she knows she can't help them because she is a failure, she can at least give the the hope that someone was lookking over them.
History: She grew up in a wealthy family in the eastern continent. Her perents were extremely unattentive and barely even realised they had a child at all. Because she was almost never cared for (despite how wealthy her family was) she learned to do things on her own. But because she was never pointed in the right direction she would always do the wrong thing and ruin something, causing her parents to yell at her, which was basically the only time they aknowledged her exsistence. When she was 14 she decided to become a tamer because it was the only way she could get away from her abusive and unattentive parents. She set out with the few belongings she could call her own. Her parents never even realised their daughter was gone so no one ever came looking for her, only adding to the deep saddness and feeling of being unwanted that lived inside her. In her travels, she learned alot about medicines and the forest so she made it her part time job to help the people she saw in distress, even if she thought her life was worthless...
Relations: Open
Other: Basically the only friends she ever knew are her monster. She had barely any contact with other people in her childhood, so isn't really good in social situations.
Appearance: Pure white fur with grey spots covering her body. She is very sleek and about 5 feet long. At the end of her tail is a large fan-like ruff. The shape resembles a flower, and is flat. It is white with two yellow spots on it, and the out edge is red. At the bottom of her neck, the fur is more concentrated and very soft, and it goes down the entire length of her stomach. Her eyes are aa very stunning blue, the kind of blue that jsut strikes you as amazing. From her forehead, between her ears, two long antenas flow back along the length of her body. At the end of them are two smaller versions of the small fan-like shape at the end of her tail.
Personality: Extremley feirce and relentless. She is very distrusting of every living thing and very strongwilled. She is also very protective of her owner, Illusen. Nayru may be one of the few beings that know how Illusen really feels and she is always there to support her. If anyone tries to her Illusen then they have to face Nayru who stops at nothing to defeat her enemies. Overall she is amazingly strong and fast, it is Illusen who tries to hold her true rage back because she is afraid she might seriously hurt someone. She doesn't speak english, but she seems to have some kind of link with Illusen and she can understand her.
Base Element: Lightning
Layer Element: Spirit
Attacks:
Storm's Nocturne-Nayru generates a large mass of lightning in front of her by waving the fans on her antenas in front of her and generating huge amounts of electricity (which takes about 5 minutes of charging depending on size) Then it is shot forward at incredible speed while a flurry of small white energy blasts fly of from it's tail. In theory it could take out a crowd of enemies using the combination of blasts to her advantage.
Storm's Symphony-Using all of her fan-like appendages, Nayru creates a large charge of negative and positive energy in the air (also taking about 5 minutes to charge depending on size). Soon after it causes a massive lightning storm is created. As the lightning falls sparks of energy fly of them like bullets. This is a very unpredictable attack, not only does it not always hit it's target, but it can even hit allies. So Nayru only uses it when utterly necassary. Still, it is quite a devastating attack, for the enemy and the user.
Other: Nayru actually doesn't use her attacks alot. She like to rather do hand to hand combat using her sharp clawas and teeth. But when she has to she will use her attacks.
I hope that's okay! I won't post until if/when you accept me. ^_~
Sorry for my lack of interaction. I made the mistake of not having Eugene interact with anyone else. I'm stuck finishing up a storyline that I didn't want to finish too soon.
I felt a nudge against my side, and woke up to see Tiamat looking down on me. As soon as she knew I was awake, she nodded off toward my right. Slowly and cautiously, I got up.
The Troll was on the move, and he seemed intent on getting there. It stood about eight feet tall. He was huge, enhanced by his bulk and muscle. It moved almost ape like in its determination to get to wherever it is that it wanted to go. It was barechested, but had shoulder armor and pants. Trailing behind him was a boulder-sized spiked ball. I could only assume that the handle was gripped in his mouth.
Despite his physique he was making good distance from my position. I had to get on the move. With one quick look at the sun, I figured he was heading toward my town.
I lost no time to mount Tiamat.
I slowly opened my eyes. It was morning. Even with the blind down, there was some light coming through. I looked around slowly. Joker, Drakling, Keishi and Nebelus were all asleep. That’s when I noticed something missing.
Where’s Menelvir?
Menelvir was gone. I was beginning to feel worried. Menelvir wouldn’t have left without her monsters. Something was wrong. That’s when the compartment door opened. I looked to see Menelvir at the door, a big tray of food in her hand.
“Good morning Dante,” she said as a heart warming smile spread across her face, “I hope you’re hungry.” To be honest, I was feeling a bit peckish. Menelvir walked over to her monster and gently woke them up. I on the other hand wasn’t so gentle.
“Wake up you lazy bums!” I said as I shook them awake. Menelvir couldn’t help but giggle at this.
“I’ve got toast, eggs, bacon, sausages and some hash browns. What do you guys want?”
“I’ll have an egg and some bacon,” I said.
“I’ll have a couple of those sausages,” Joker said. Drakling gave a hungry grunt.
“Oh, and he’ll some sausages and bacon,” I said, pointing to Drakling.
±±Illusen Glade-Healer/adventurer±Nayru±±
The wind wove through the grasses and made it shimmer like the surface of a lake. It's gentle embrace caressed my face, forcing a tear to trickle down my face and land in the grasses below me. I could not help but remeber this wind, it always seemed to greet me when I came here. It was the same wind that had bid me farewell when I left home. But why did I always feel so empty when I felt it? With a long sigh I turned from the small hill that oversaw the grasses. They seemed so lush and gentle, I could not blame them for my sadness. It was my own fault to reminisce on such memories.
My longing gaze was broken by a something soft rubbing against me. I looked down and saw Nayru's lucid form looking deep into my eyes. Whenever I was sad so was she, she read my emotions so well... and she felt the sadness I did. It was my fault she felt bad, it was because I felt this way that she now felt bad too.
"Please don't worry Nayru, I do not want to trouble you too," I said crouching by her side. She rubbed her warm face against mine, drying the place my tear had fallen. I wrapped my arms around her neck and pressed my face into her soft fur. I could never really express to her how thankful I was. Without her, I don't know what I would do. She was the only person that had ever liked me, even though I had nothing to give them in return. "Come on Nayru, we have to keep moving." As I pushed myself into a steady step she swung to my side, walking close and peering around. This was how she always walked with me, as if she was afraid something would make me leave her side. And I felt loved and wanted when she did, but sad that she wasted such emotions on me.
I would have set out for a path, but I prefered to walk through the thick grasses. They always seemed more welcoming to me. And even though they caused my stride to become entangled and difficult to continue, I didn't once change my course. And Nayru stayed close to my side. Far to my right I saw a boundry of trees that seemed to be trying to reach out to me. But in my heart a coldness would seep through when I thought about them. Because the darkness that seemed eternal within it seemed to have unseen eyes locked on me. Nayru, sensing my doubt pressed her frame firmly against my legs and I could not help but feel that doubt melt away. I would not let that solemn silence ruin my course.
So I broke that silence by remebering the songs that few could hear. The sound of the winds through the grsses, the cry of a far off bird, and the echo of my footsteps. All seemed engraved into my heart as something so familiar that it made me feel as though I was walking into the past. I was caught by surprise when suddenly Nayru stepped in front of me and halted me from going forward.
"What is it Nayru?" I asked, a pang of worry shot through my body as her body tensed up. I looked up across the grasses and saw a break in the tall grasses. And there on the ground lay something. But at such a distance I could not tell what it was, except a dark shape laying flat in the middle of this clearing, it seemed so odd to see something like it just laying in such plain sight. "Do you know what that is Nayru?" I whispered. She emitted a low growl and stepped forward, her whole body hunche over. I realised without a moments doubt that it was some kind of monster. I didn't know exactley what it was doing. So in order to find out I hunched over and moved closer, Nayru cautiosley at my side. I took tender steps, not only because I was afraid that the monster could possibly wake up, but because I had to be careful not to step on my many skirts that flowed around my legs like an ocean.
As I found myself at the edge of the long grasses, I peered at it. I felt a mixture of relief and surprise when I saw the monster. It was laying on it's back with a look of dishevelment on it's face. It seemed to be blacked out but I still could not stop the smallest thread of worry inside of me. Nayru sensed my worry, she had sensed it a long time ago. But it was then that I finally heard the humming coming from my side. I had heard that sound before and I knew exactley what it was. Bu tI still could not stop myself from looking to the side to assure my ideas. And sure enough I saw Nayru, her body was tall and stiff as she sat, her eyes closed in deep concentration. The fans on her antennas waved around in such a mystifying way that even though I had seen this so many times could not help but stare longinly at her movements. "Storm's Nocturne," I whispered in amazement. It was only then I realised what she had been truely doing and what I had triggered. With only a second more of preparation, The swirling mass of crakling energy shot forward in a brilliant display of lights that rocketed off it like comets.
"NO!" I shouted, but it was already far to late. The giant mass of sparks crashed into the fallen mass. With a thundering explosion that could only be described as the sounds of a massive thunder storm. Although the flash from the attack making contact caused me to sheild my eyes I could vaguely see the black mass rocketing upward. In a explosion of firey colors. Then it fell back, back to the ground and landed with a loud thud. The already dark body was now pitch black, small trail of black smoke rised from it's charred body.
"Nayru you shouldn't have! It was already fallen!" I shouted. I felt as though my heart had been swept up with the monster, then left to fall back to earth and shatter in a million pieces. Nayru looked at me with a look of sadness deep within her gaze. She had dissapointed me, in her mind, and she felt as though herself was worthless. Despite the condition of the monster that was now sizzling in the clearing, I wrapped my arms around Nayru. "It is okay NAyru, I am not dissapointed in you, I am dissapointed in myself. If I had not been worried you wouldn't have charged your attack." Nayru rubbed her face against my neck. I felt calmed and at rest.
I stood up out of the tall grass and took a tentative step toward the ashen mass. "I just hope no one was in the way of one of the tail's shot's" I said, peering down at the monster. IT seemed to be some kind og goblin, although it was hard to tell because it was now pitch black and smoking...
Alright, m_c, please check my sign up so I feel completley ok with being in it. And Tsukasa and Crystal tears, if you didn't figure it out on your own, Illusen is right there in the area. wether you decide to interact or not is up to you ^_~.
There was aloud explosion from behind him, and we both turned. The goblin, which we had already defeated, was now pitch black and was practiclly ashes.
"What the..." I muttered, as suddenly a great breeze came from my left and StormClaw took flight, giving out a alerted screech, before centering his sight on a Girl, in the middle of the long grass. He eyes turned Bright again.
But why? I asked myself mentally, why is he mad at someone who had nothing to do with that explosion.
"StormClaw you fool! Leave her alone!" I called, he glared back at me, before screeching again and taking a dive, but not towards her. "No!" I called, running into the long grass.
I heard another screech, before I was consumed in smoke and ash. I caught flashes of another monster and StormClaw, and eventually saw a gint oth and a Harpie looking monster..
But from lack of air I soon lost sight.. And all concinsous.
