Hmm... I used to really like Paul Merton, although I don't think he's as funny now as he used to be. I like Sean Hughes, and Bill Bailey and Ricky Gervais. I can't choose between them though! :196:

Matt Lucas and David Walliams
Steve Coogan
Lee Evans
The Monty Python team
Most of the Whose Line regulars
Frank Skinner and David Baddiel
Harry Hill
Robin Williams (I haven't seen him do stand-up for years, but from what I remember he was hilarious)
The Fast Show's cast
Ricky Gervais
Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmundson
Red Dwarf's cast
Avid Merrion (not sure of his real name...)
Simon Penk (not sure if I got his name right. He was in Big Train and Spaced.)
The League of Gentleman's cast

I'd better stop here. I'll be here all day and night. If you know about most of the comedians I've listed, you'll get some idea of what type of comedy I like.

Sorry for necro-ing, but I love Colin Mochrie. And Ryan Stiles. Robin Williams and Jim Carrey are both geniuses. Dave Chappelle is also really funny. And who could forget Will Ferrell! And that Fred Armisen. But, my all-time favorite has to be Pablo Francisco.

Jeremy Hotz and George Carlin are gods of stand-up in my opinion. Eric Idle is hilarious too.

I like Bill Cosby (no, not in THAT way!) simply because I have great respect for his class and style. It takes a heck of a lot of talent to make people laugh these days without saying anything objectionable. I am frequently literally ROTFL when I watch The Cosby Show, or anything else comedic that he played a part in.

Not that I don't laugh at the other guys, too (I actually got a kick out of the Turkey bit posted by TMM), but I just prefer the cleaner stuff.

Graham Chapman, John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Eric Idle, Terry Jones, and Micheal Palin.

AND:

Billy Crystal and Carol Kane.

Carol is the best, but get's the least limelight. There need's to be an all girl comedy troup: The Amazons Doctors! Whoo-eee! :nut:
