i decided to completely screw over everything i tell people and make my crappy final team of some of my favorite pokemon. meh...it are sux0r...but if i can get just ONE victory with these guys, it'll be worth it. so there. XP

http://pokemasters.net/images/games/ruby_sapphire/rs234.png clefable
~body slam
~ice beam
~thunderbolt
~thunderwave

meh, i'm a girl, i have an excuse for liking clefable. i know it's the poor man's chansey, but gimme a break. i liked that big egg, until blissey came along...

http://pokemasters.net/images/games/ruby_sapphire/rs144.png starmie
~recover
~surf
~thunderbolt
~thunderwave

hmmm. ever since i saw a picture of a shiny one ("colors turn me on" -crazy ex-global teacher), i've really liked starmie. or perhaps i sold out. ^_^ anyway, set are yes. ice beam could work over surf, but i'd need to see how it works out.

http://pokemasters.net/images/games/ruby_sapphire/rs205.png venusaur
~body slam
~razor leaf
~sleep powder
~swords dance

far more fun to use than eggy. if only that damn type 2 didn't exist! >.< plus, he gets the best grass move ever : razor leaf. wahoo. too bad it sucks in gsc and rs... but hey, this isn't gsc or rs. yet.

http://pokemasters.net/images/games/ruby_sapphire/rs208.png charizard
~earthquake
~flamethrower/rock slide
~slash
~swords dance

rock slide for those who don't mind tradebacks, although i'll usually use flamethrower... fire attacks aren't that great in rby anyway =/ a good pokemon. slash is fun, although body slam could be used as an alternate (haha starmie)

http://pokemasters.net/images/games/ruby_sapphire/rs285.png tauros
~blizzard
~body slam
~earthquake
~hyper beam

The Set That Is Not To Be Messed With (i could use another word there ^_^). self-explanitory. best pokemon EVAR? yup.

http://pokemasters.net/images/games/ruby_sapphire/rs306.png mew
~ice beam
~psychic
~softboiled
~thunderbolt

screw cheap, screw standards. i know this set is crappy and somewhat like starmie if i put ice beam on starmie over surf, but if i did ye olde standard swords dance/earthquake/body slam/softboiled, it's too much like tauros... and better to have two identical elemental pokemon in rby than two physical pokemon. yeah. and i'm NOT exploding my mew. ^_^

Clefable: Poor mans Chansey? ..Sounds to me like you have never seen a Clefable used properly. I prefer double-edge, but bodyslam is ok, especially without recovery.

Give Starmie blizzard, Mew is a much better stopper of Physical attackers.. Infact Mew makes Starmie almost entirely redundant, so maybe keep surf.. And if are gonna tradeback, get confuse ray.

Venusaur: fine.

If you are gonna use tradebacks, then keep flamethrower on Charizard anyway.. Rockslide is not important. And so give it Bodyslam/Hyperbeam over slash.

Tauros is so not the best pokemon ever.. It's nowhere near as good as Mew for one..

Mew is still an elemental pokemon if you give it physical attacks.. The reason you don't want too many physical pokemon is that they are weak to elemental moves.. Which Mew isn't.. At least give it one physical attack.. Psychic, icebeam, bodyslam, softboiled or something. Plus, elemental punch Alakazam's completely destroy this team if you don't..

This team does have a couple of weak points, except they are all fixed by Mew.. So it should work, just make sure to not let Mew switch out on health lower than like 75%..

Have a nice day.

Mew = Gameshark or Nintendo tour. I think i recall Madelyn saying she's been to a tour.

Thunderbolts = Missingno duplicator or trading between many a saved game.

Or even the Crystal Move Tutor.

Not in RBY. You get i Thunderbolt per game. If you've used it and you want it on another pokemon, then you trade that pokemon to a seperate cartridge or Stadium. Restart the game, et the new Thunderbolt TM, trade back over. Teach. Lather Rinse Repeat for all your pokemon that want to know it. That's the hard way for Yellow Players.

Crystal. Move tutor wasn't mentioned because it's Crystal. Not RBY
