Welcome to the latest Winter Awards! For newer members, this is one of the four seasonal award shows (among other ones that may pop up) during the year that tpm fanfic puts on. It's always good to recognize authors for their talents and thanking them for keeping the readers entertained, and keeping the new ideas coming.

As always, we must start with nominations. All the categories are listed at the end of this post. You may nominate one author/fic/etc. per category, and you aren't required to choose nominees for all categories. Please make sure the choice fits with the category it's under. Like putting up a big chapter fic for Best Short Story - don't do that. And make sure you read as many fics as possible before nominating, even if it means just skimming them. it's important that writers don't get ignored just because they are new and don't have as much popularity. Here's the guidelines for nominating:

- all nominations are to be posted in this topic, one nomination per category from a member.
- no limit on the total number of contestants per category
- no self-nominations
- no vote-begging. don't go around topics and harass members, begging for votes, or you'll get disqualified. it's fine to mention what you're nominated in to your readers in your topic, but nothing further. let's keep a level playing field .
- all nominated members must be members of the TPM Fanfic community
- nominated fics do no currenty have to be on the boards, but have had to be on the boards at one point
- we request that each member ends their nominations with an email address they will use for voting later on. it's not required, but it'd be nice. and feel free to post nominations in separate posts as you think of them.

erm oz, it's supposed to be one nomination per category from a member, like what the first guideline says. the multiple preference thing is more for the voting part. try to narrow down those nominations to one for each event ^_^.

more EDIT: Jon UKX, those are good award ideas but since the nominations have already started coming in and getting recorded it's too late to stick those categories in there. they'll most likely find their way into the spring awards though. and if you find a place to stick HLSOE somewhere in, just post again. adding more nominations later on is cool.

and on a side note, if the fic/author/yaddayadda is already nominated for an award, don't nominate them again it really doesn't do any good. rather, find another worthy nominee to put up there ^_^.
