What's your favorite new feature of the new games?

For me, it's the recaps. You know, every time you reload your game, it recaps in black and white the important things you did the last time you played. It's a great new touch.

I also kind of like how it's handled when you use the medicine, TMs, and other stuff, how they show it being fed to the pokemon. Cute!

The VS Finder is a great addition too. Much better than the R/S way of finding rematches.

Actually when I played my Japanese FR (I am still waiting for the arrival of my english versions) I began to dislike both above features. Why? The recaps began to annoy me greatly when I reseted the game several times to get a female Snorlax and female Eevee. I wanted the female ones because it makes breeding much easier. True I could breed the male one with Ditto but because Snorlax and Eevee are mostly male breeding for a female one can take a long time.
And later in the game when I had enough money to buy lot of vitamins to feed my Pokemon for EV training the animation feeding it to a Pokemon began to annoy me too. I know I can stop the animation pressing A. But this is one click more and when I fed several vitamins to a Pokemon I started to dislike it.

What I liked very much was the little graphic of every item you see in the item bag. It helped me a lot to identify the items because I can't read Japanese.
I liked the little animation when a Pokemon gets caught in a Pokeball. I mean the two "drops" you see from the Pokeball when the Pokemon finally gets caught.

I've only played my FR up to Misty. My favorite part so far would have to be the fact that they gave us Running Shoes, but I personally would have liked em at the very beginning, just like Ru/Sa.

Something that I don't like is that they have a sub-catagory in your backpack (1 word or 2?) for TM's and HM's. I guess it's okay seeing as in the old RBY all items went in 1 pocket.

Another thing is those "drops" that you like, those are startin to piss me off. Every time they do that I think the ball is re-opening.

For me, probably the running shoes. They speed things up very nicely, especially large stretches of land that used to take forever in RBY. ^^ The updated graphics and different cries (for when the Pokemon are hurt) are cute additions too. As are the pictures by the descriptions when you want to use/buy an item.

Something I don't like though, is that you give prize money when you lose. o_O That's never happened in any other game, has it? At least.. I don't remember it.

That's been the case since day one - if you lose, you wake up in the last Pokemon Center you were at, and half your money is gone. It's always been that way.

It DID happened in the older games, Typact, but it was worse. I don't remember if in the wild, but in Trainer Battles, if you lost, you'd lose HALF of your money. So, it's a bit better now, since you just give a small fee, not half of your money.

I haven't got my LG cartridge (And likely won't get it 'till December.), but I've played the game already. I like all the new features. When you give'em an item, the animation is cool. I also loved the Item pics, and I can say "About time"!

The recaps are kinda annoying with time, but a nice touch nonetheless. What I'm looking for is the new twists to the original games: the Islands, the stronger Elite Four, Mystery Gift and the new Deoxys forms. Too bad I won't get anything from Mystery Gift, most likely, unless thy make some kind of NYPC in Mexico... oh well.

No way, are you serious? I've never even noticed that! Well then, I suppose that's a new one of my favorite attributes.. And it tells you, too! XD Thanks guys, you clued me in on something I had no idea about. ^^;

I also like how even the trainers are more detailed.. Namely Lance. This is probably the best pose he's been in throughout the whole time he's been champion!

the running shoes are great, I also love it that I got a chance to reexpience
what the old red and blue games were like by playing fire red. I love it that
we can go to more places other than kanto, but I hate it that it doesn't have
alot of things like r/s had such as contests and stuff. But, my most favorite part
of the game would have to be the fact that I can get back my old blue version
team and stuff by starting over on my fire red.
