I have only just noticed that Typhlosion and Charizard have exactly the same base stats. I have only just noticed. :wtf: That is really cheap. Opinions on the cheapness.

I don't really know what's lame about that, I guess Nintendo just wanted to keep the starting difficulty of the games about the same. Anyway, I think this is better suited for the games department where you can discuss stats and stuff.

OMG this was moved WHY Charizard and Typhlosion aren't just on GSC. It is a GENRAL DISCUSSION (where I originally posted it) about two POKEMON. This is insane. I'm not talking about starting difficulties. GSC must be like the least posted on board. Thanks for ruining any chances of getting any more posts. It should be moved back.

You shouldn't be bashing a Mod's decission... GD is actually meant for discussion about indigenous/unexplained stuff about Pokémon. Game mechanics and Stat Topics are meant to be moved elsewhere. Whatever.

As for the question. Nintendo is lazy, you know. The 3 GSC 00bers (Mewtwo, Lugia and Ho-Oh) have the same numbers placed in different Stats. And the HP of the 3 is the same. Charizard/Typhlosion is more proof of their laziness. Anyway, it's no big deal. After all, Charizard has a respectable Movepool, while Typhlosion falls short. The only thing Typhlosion has going for it is Thunderpunch and no 4x Weak against Rock. Unfortunately, that makes it weak against the ever-present Earthquake, while Charizard is immune.

All in all, Stats aren't everything... it's just more proof of Nintendo's laziness.

but i think Nintendo did it because they prolly just want to keep the start of the games about the same, like AVA said... but it's prolly more that they're lazy lol.
