what folder is it in and what installed it, if you know? what version of windows?
I'm having trouble trying to delete certain files like "RarExt.dll.0". When I try to delete it, it says "access is denied". Is there a way around this problem?

Well, the file is in a WinRAR folder, and I'm using Windows XP. I'm not sure if this is the info you are looking for....

why do you need to delete it, might i ask?
I want to delete these files just to clean up my desktop. It gets annoying having files that you don't use and you can't get rid of them...

there is. it works 99.9% of the time.
close whatever you have running in your system tray so it isn't running afterwards because the icon won't show but it'll still be running. anyways. open up the task manager, end explorer.exe's process, then select "file -> new task (run...)", go to desktop, delete file, then start explorer back up by doing the same but but "file -> new task (run...) -> explorer".

I found this program that removed the "undeletable" file.
